Flat out, the majority of the population does not want to spend extra time clicking through menus to play math games before they get to run around and fight people. They don't want to be the punching bag for someone who spent way more money than they did, or have to do a bunch of tedious menu navigation as a pre-requisite for having a chance to win.

Every time there is a non-geared game mode, that's where literally half the playerbase goes, because huge shocker, fair fights are more appealing than being gear differed by no lifers.

Cleric caps out at about 600-700 a round, if they land everything with no overheal. Can get a bit higher if they're landing triple sanctuaries. Druid can go to 1k a round but it's almost zero burst healing.

Loool. Ranger is insane, but the best answer against Ranger is having a healer. So it makes sense that's what feels the most oppressive for you. I will say as a healer, I feel strong when healing melee v. melee - and I feel strong when healing against a Ranger. Those are the 2 main things it feels like healers are actually for.

Now Cleric as a side-note is insane with Wizard/Ranger because of Binds/EQ. But that's a Cleric thing, not necessarily a healer thing.

Taking risks making unique power fantasies that you don't really see in other competitive games like rogue double jump, druid shapeshifting and recently the ability to control mobs including mini-bosses

A variety of classes that actually feel different

A variety of map types that nail different atmospheres, I mean c'mon they made swimming work even if it doesn't appeal to everyone

An arena that meshes well with the core mode offered by the game

PvE friendly modes that don't completely negate the PvPvE modes while still providing a near full experience

Frequently interacts with the community having down to earth honest talks from the director often and taking the community's thoughts into consideration here and there

to comment on the first point, IMO, they would greatly benefit by providing as many DLC style MTX as possible, so they can be affected by Steam's regional pricing, unlike redstones which are a flat USD value.

In my opinion, the seasonal passes, regardless of the actual content, were the best priced MTX that IM have done by far & it's not even close. Multiple skins for under the price of one skin, essentially.
