Arena Gear Change : So upset ! I'm the kind of player who only has 4-5h to spend per week gaming. Being able to buy gear and use it in arenas allowed me to have a good build in just a couple weeks. Now, I probably just won't be able to play arenas because farming gear in dungeons / farming quests for crafting takes so much more time !

Bring all magic protection pots and water breathing pots , when you go through phase pop the hp and magic pot . When he blows bubbles that is a good time to heal and back up he then can do a dash coo o which will let you heal twice . When he blows the bubble you want to let him stack them all on one side together so your fighting him with one side full of bubbles one not kind of like a pie half pepperoni half not . Look at the tail , and the way his face is going , he has a high mid and low , if his tail is high you go low , if the tail is high and his face is pointed low you go low to suck his tail . Watch some videos and slow down the video so you can see exactly what the animation looks like . That’s what I did . Took me a day to learn . I parry everything now even if he is turned in a weird direction because that also changes where the attack will come from but the animation is the same

You can glitch your jump by jumping into map geometry a certain way to get air strafes on your first jump of double jump. So you can have full autonomy over single jumps. It essentially removes all of the reasons why you wouldn't want to single jump (get hit easier) and makes it a straight buff. Makes turn and burning easier too.

But changing the arena quality and the loot state requirements this late is a little rough.

there aint really much difference between market arena and ssf arena. either way your farming the dungeon for either the gold to buy a kit or the kit itself. its kinda like the difference between ironman and normal characters in osrs. same goal and very similar ways of getting there. ones just a little quicker

You took an incredible game and somehow didn’t fully butcher it—no, you half-butchered it, glued it back together, shaved off random slivers to “maybe add later,” and replaced the rest with mystery meat from a completely different animal. The flip-flopping is actually impressive at this point, but the real crime is mid-wipe goal destruction. People play for a WIPE. Changing or straight-up gutting end goals halfway through is the most demoralizing thing you can possibly do.

Arenas was the only thing keeping me (and a lot of others) invested—selling earned gear to afford better gear to push higher—and now that progress is just… deleted. Cool. Very cool. Mid-wipe updates should be QoL, bug fixes, and things that make players happier—not ethics experiments that piss off 10% (let’s be real, 50%+) of the playerbase. Big changes belong on wipe. And maybe—just maybe—if internal decision-making is this shaky cough cough, use a community voting system (RuneScape somehow figured this out and has one of the happiest playerbases alive). Also please, for the love of god, test your changes. You literally have a test branch—bribe people with skins, titles, literally anything.

And why are you capping the best Arena players from playing together? That’s getting reverted. Everyone knows it. If you absolutely must cap something, cap classes (see: Overwatch—not a hard concept). But capping friends? Come on. Or at least make it top 100, not conveniently right at the point where you and your boys were most excited to queue.

Do better.
This game deserves it—and so does the playerbase keeping it alive (which seems to shrink every patch).

Another point is that there is no incentive to delve deeper in the dungeons or playing more risky. You can simply go farm whatever high value material you want and just sell it to buy crafting materials.

When HR had a minimum gear requirement, those same people showing up in squire gear now would just hit the gear minimum using trash items you wouldn't loot anyway. People enjoy true zero to hero runs, myself included. Squire High Roller is a fun challenge mode. If you're wearing BIS a naked guy shouldn't be much of a threat, and if someone in squire gear can drop someone using an artifact... well, they've earned it.

Its not that they're threatening. It's the fact they risk nothing, force you to deal with them, and they play the entire match not worrying about death but instead just grief the entire match trying to steal loot from kills that aren't theirs. They'll throw their lives away knowing they risk nothing. It changes the entire dynamic of what should be considered High-Risk/High-Reward gameplay.

For ranked arenas.... you cannot be serious? If that trio is WINNING then they are WINNING. Its a leaderboard, You are being gatekept from nothing at all. You are way off with that take

How tf is it less repetitive? You still will see the same players IF they even keep playing.. Yall are missing the whole point entirely. Being able to not squad up is one of the biggest reasons people left this game multiple times

I don’t think we should really bash Ironmace for experimenting, let’s wait to see their final decision before providing distaste rather than constructive criticism

arena might require to be split into 2 queues
normal and ranked
but splitting queues again is a bad idea

Well those experiments inevitably resulted in a much better balance class wise , and a much better gear state than we had previously.
It also showed clearly to them what perks and skills were underutilized and at what gear point they were utilized, along as showed what classes were gear dependent and what classes were good on their own
