oh yeah for sure. I hit demigod on 2 classes without fighting even one player this season on water map. the best for it is sorc as you can row a boat to pirate prison bottom left, lightning dash to the top where nobody (except another sorc) can get to you without clearing 20 skeletons. break all the barrels and boxes, kill the skeletons and champion, loot everything and row your boat to the rescue ship. easy 500+ AP per 10 min game. you can be demigod in ~8 hours of gameplay

other way to demi on water map on any class is just avoid middle, key room, bosses, and trench/starfish valley. loot anywhere else, row a boat out. under bladehand is good, the sunken ship by the west shark is better

depends on the map but for castle 90% of the people just wait in a corner for red to open and go down, then the other 5% are doing the bosses ( and probably die to it ) the other 5% is YOU, and you can just roam around and loot, exit as soon as you get to the blue statics or wait for a portal. very easy

Yeah it’s just bad RNG, nothing deeper than that.

You finally get the right piece and it rolls into DEF or HP every time. Or you get good substats and then every upgrade goes into the worst one. It’s basically stacked randomness on top of randomness.

Best way to deal with it is just lower your standards a bit:
• right main stat matters the most
• 1–2 useful substats is already fine
• if it rolls badly early, just stop and move on

If you expect perfect artifacts you’ll just get annoyed forever. Most builds are just “decent across everything,” not insane rolls.

Ironmace clearly does review the community suggestions, because a lot of recent (or planned) game changes are connected with the suggestions found there.

Well if you play say Barb. Low skill and rock up a high KDA then guess what, youre in a higher tier skill group and W key wont work as well. A few matches of getting wrecked and you go back down until you learn other strategies. It would actually force you to try other things based on your capabilities

If you had skill based matchmaking making you would not need so much class balancing IMHO. Some people who get really good at their class are just very good players. Instead of constantly manipulating game mechanics youre just matchmaking players. I honestly think it would work much better

If it automatically bumps you into a higher tier of players based on KDA then youre going to lose more regardless of class. Thats the balance

so if they're going to start breaking that rule, i would prefer to see classes balanced differently depending on the game mode

since they perform differently based on game mode

it's not really fair to pick one mode, and screw the balance on every other mode

The classes are fairly balanced. What is not balanced is skill level with building kits and skill level playing in game with the kit you've built. Again, skill based matchmaking based on your performance balances the game

If someone gets crazy good at wizard and runs the lobby or runs the arena kill lists up everyone gets pissy and they change in game. Well people who like wizard and aren't as good now have an even harder time winning. It isnt so much about tweaking damage or buffs here and their to make little differences (generally its a knee jerk too far) its this community that isnt balanced. Some 4k hours guy killing everyone in a lobby with under 1000 hours is a problem. Let him go fight the other 3k+ hour people

i wouldnt say a complete remodel, league does it in aram with very simple buffs, aram champs get just small % buffs/nerfs depending how well they perform in that mode, +/-5% hp or dmg typically, maybe some other stats like cooldown? IM would have all this data K/D, Win/loss, extract % etc. and if one class is performing below average you can give them little bumps until they perform roughly average.

as far what balance changes i would make, i mean i don't have the data to make a perfectly informed decision, and i main wiz, and play mostly solos, and one big thing i'd like to see for solo wiz is pve clear buffs, i'd love to see crystal sword deal damage based on the targets largest elemental weakness. I can't speak to every fathomable change for every class in every mode i don't know why you would expect that

I always see people try to use this as an argument. Usually its the people who are clowning on people. It 100% would make a difference and even with 5000 players you can make it work. If there isnt enough to load a game then it can still load people in with more imbalance to make it work but you can separate the field enough based on skill

If you have 100 bards of different skill level and tweak bard to accommodate then youre helping the good bards win more, the average players get a slight boost and the shitty bards still lose but now you've made good bards that much more lethal to everyone else and helped them clown on people even more.

Tweaking the classes with people of large skill gaps creates a never ending cycle of tweaking the classes. Get skill based matchmaking and fix the game. Adventure modes, gear restriction modes are all just bandaids. Its balancing the players that fixes things. Nobsystembeould be perfect. Certain people will try to abuse things but eventually it will keep evening out and it forces them to do more work judt to get a few matches of clowning people.

It would make so much more sense to chain quests together into something actually fitting whatever definition of lore and make it feel more like actual quests/missions.

gather 5 beard fragments, grind them up into fire fuel. Combine with a ember and a piece of iron to craft a specialsauce lantern and enter the <bossmans> layer and sneak around in the dark avoiding detection to bring out quest item.

Daggers are boring in this game, and their range is always ridiculously short. I’m still waiting for them to finally add a short sword perk for Rogues. Playing with short swords is actually a lot of fun. My best moment was when I completely destroyed a fully orange-geared Bear using nothing but short sword riposte.
