This might be hard to understand for you, but you just lie on the path you know they'll take again at some point. Let's say its goblin caves and theres a path cleared between elevator & troll. You wait at a pillar on that path, because the enemy is highly likely to go back down on it again before the raid is over. You don't need to crouch up to them, you need to crouch up to their path

tbh, they said they want to make a bunch of changes to s2r, so i think we are in vision territory where they are making the changes bit by bit, i don't really know what the final goal looks like, but the mode just isn't what it was before and i don't think they intend to go back.

at this point it is what it is, and honestly they should just add back squire norms queue to fill that niche for people that want a normal game experience without gear. it's great for learning the game or playing with low stress. s2r is just becoming full on BR arena junior

The thing that bugged me about old S2R changes with the bug fog damage is just that if a teammate dies in there they are basically screwed. You may as well leave and requeue. And if the circle is covering most or all the revives? Pfff.. Trash.

Things I liked. Money sink into religion, and AP for skin. Both of those gave me goals with rewards (even AP when I died usually). Unfortunaly the jump to HR is too much for my skill level. Which means money and anything but AP is kinda useless right now.

I have serious concerns about the invisibility spell changes for wizards. The aftershadow mechanic feels like a significant downgrade that doesn't align with the class's identity. A wizard who has spent years accumulating knowledge and magical expertise should be able to make themselves fully invisible without an aftershadow. Yet somehow a rogue, who merely focuses on daggers and poison, achieves true invisibility effortlessly. That doesn't make logical sense within the game's own framework.

I also have to question the armor and movement mechanics. There's a film with Robert Pattinson playing a medieval king. There's a duel scene where a soldier in full plate armor slips and falls in the mud while the lighter equipped fighter moves freely. That's how reality functions. Yet in this game, characters in plate armor, and so many other heavier attires, trudge through mud with no penalty and reach wizards effortlessly. That removes what should be a meaningful strategic trade off.

there is some slowing affects in the game u can step over, mostly mob created or walking through water (in the non water map), just mud and things like that aren’t here much, most fighters are experienced enough with walking and are not slipping around. there is also spells to slow like “bind” for cleric and the “slow” spell on wiz, icebolt too, best of luck in your future adventures. And i will add on and say, there is decent tools for dealing with rogues too even face tanking them with the right abilities, do some experimenting, ice shield, bonk wiz, ignite ability, etc and i don’t even play wiz haha

If they were giving 5-10k gold for a few consecutive wins that would really saturate the economy. I see it like this, S2R is supposed to be everybody is on equal playing field, and not only that there are a lot of newer players playing this gamemode so even if a newer player did get one, they are either never using it trading it or losing it first game in HR, HR being still the best way to get an Artifact, so not a problem at all, if anything its good for the game, no it will not separate player base, it will improve the gamemode because nobody had any incentive to go down into Inferno or even Crypts, it was so dead now maybe not... TL;DR you're only gonna get 1 clip of S2R player pulling a named in the entire season because nobody is even gonna bother going down especially with no bosses

Fair view point. Ig I'm just not a fan of how they implemented S2R in general and am probably just a bitter old hag. I was stoked when concept was announced. Sounded like an SSF mode. Its SSF but resets every round and is forced trios. Being able to S2R and carry over similar to early season of wipes is my fav type of game play. Basically a Hardcore SSF mode with a caveat of not being able to bring anything you don't find yourself, and fiund yourself within that series of runs. So if it leaves your inventory it would be immediately deemed not usable for future queues in the mode.

its just not, youre ass at the class lol. it has infinite reset potential by being able to jump through doors and spam healing spells. and at 40+ strength you get to pop bear and 2 tap any class or at the bare minimum outbox them unless they have artifacts. the reason you dont see very many is because the class require high mechanical skill and timing on your transformations, if you mess up and swap to say.. panther and lose half your hp thats on you for losing. but if youre in bear form and not whiffing hits you literally cant lose
