Hey, not even sure if this is the right place but ive seen a lot of dark and darker gameplay on YouTube and it looks like fun. I dont typically play games on my PC but this one had me interested and so I figured join the server and maybe get some people's personal opinions on it?

I guess sum this down to would it be worth trying to learn it and any advice where to start?

it's not quite cheating since no cheats are involved. it's a behaviour that is forbidden. that's all. game is fun, but very grindy. it takes a lot of hours to explore the maps, learn your character, find stuff. it can be very frustrating if you cling to much to what youve found. since DaD has seasons/wipes everything is gone every 4 months anyway. ppl call this gear fear. if you like a hard pvpve game with dark souls like mobs and less flashy bosses, opening chests, fighting in first person and you bring enough time and joy to learn stuff then it's the right game for you.

true, sweats run a kit everytime rn. Gems are so superfluent and +2att rolls are strong, so its pretty much full unique/leggo kits with 0 dead rolls around the poi´s in HR. And how often do mediocre/new players run kits rn? never.. or maybe once a day, until they get slaughtered by turbo sweats.. Everytime i run into a awkward/newer player they are pretty much just naked with 1-2 pieces farming. SF is not a way to help noobs its a hardcore feature, naturally. It does help with the meta building to a small degree(cause gear and gems are everywhere), but it doesnt help noobs from what i can see.

and more importantly ..sweats run bis socketed kits in norms allready aswell...

in some ways for sure.. it depends on alot of other factors.. like currently we have blue max in norms and blue gear is very easy to get plus geming is cheap and strong. And in SSF putting together min max kits requires knowing how to get gems fast/specific weaponfarms for certain builds, etc... us 1500h+ players know how to get gear fast and have tons of gems. So if you play casually, 1-3h per day average or less, thats a week of grinding to have 2-3 kits ready. With market in the current economy they can fill there backpack with whatever green/blues, vendor it and get a decent blue kit for 500g-750g (no jewls). And if they prefer to go without gear there is s2r.

This is a longstanding issue for your game since people have been complaining about it for years on steam reviews.
