the pve drop rarity is up to epic i think, it counts for quest items too, but egg doesnt drop off a boss, its a spawning item, it has its own spawn rate i think

So long-term progression is a key piece of this "end game" puzzle where people want to feel like there's something they're working towards. The bosses are technically end game, but they are more like late game farming.

If anything they'd need a dragon raid or something that requires very good kits to do with a dinky story like "the dragon is threatening fairyland and we need heros to defeat it" and the lore is that everyone is fighting eachother in the dungeons to get to be the heros or something lol

Also season permanence gives a feeling of long-term progression

Seasons exist in every extraction looter as far as I know, it's an opportunity to implement new changes and for everyone to start over the same fresh page and race for power again. Eventually the process stagnates and gets boring until people dwindle off, and then fresh wipes bring them back.

Honestly, Dark and Darker really needs to rethink how looting works, because nothing feels worse than winning a messy, hard-fought fight only to have some rogue or druid crawl out of a hole or a shadow and snatch everything off the body before you can even blink. You put your gear on the line, you traded blows, you actually earned that kill—and then a “rat” who never lifted a finger just vacuum-loots the body like they’ve been waiting for that exact second the whole match. It makes the whole fight feel pointless. Looting should be fast and smooth for the people who actually got the kill, and slower for anyone who didn’t contribute. Not to punish sneaky players, but to give real credit to the people who took the risk. It would make the game feel so much fairer and way less infuriating after big fights.

theres a few things they could do to fix the game, based on my friends who basicly quit the game for good. they range from low to highskill.
1: gearbrackets, newer players have ZERO chance and are constantly outgeared, and are unable to catch up at all and therefor are detered from going highroller at all
2: having a report system that doesnt require recording every match or moment in the game. its tideous and when it seems it doesnt work to report at all, its even worse due to the investment of time etc.
3: continous dungeons - nobody minds a 40-60 second que compared to having cleared an area and then having someone spawn in behind you while doing campfire or vice versa.
4: fixing gear or perk bugs. how long has the game been out?
5: circle... it does drive players together but in most cases its a neuisance and disruptive to bossing etc.
6: questlines, depending on the player they are either engaging or VERY TEDIOUS and the rewards in some cases arent worth the effort.
7: DO NOT ALLOW VERY IMPORTANT ITEMS SUCH AS HUNTRESS COINS TO BE VENDORED!

Thank you for quality of life improvement Iron Mace , im really can feel game goes much smoother in many places and many of problems i just endure till this moment was gone.
One little moment, after tryin DnD-like game that is essentially a clone (or better said, a continuation of a glorious genre), I realized how much stronger the immersion becomes simply due to the presence of a treasury (with the ability to collect a collection throughout the season with bonuses to luck, damage to normal/elite/boss mobs, speed of action) and a shelter that can be upgraded (and cant be wiped as an opposite to treasury).
Maybe I've gone too far, but Dungeon Stalkers (besides the fact that the game is raw and the bots are just awful) at the same time resets even the shelter (warehouse) and has 300 online in particular because of this. I dont wanna say "lets steal Gold and Glory features completely", but maybe its time to make something like extention of a progression for each class?

Some days you have really good conversations about the game here, and others it’s slop

The class channels are some of the better environments, #fighter #cleric #rogue etc
I’ve had some really good discussions with people there and they are really helpful people typically

An insta queue does not only put you in an empty lobby. It can also mean that you queued at the same time as others or were the last one to fill the lobby up

There are 2 matchmakings running depending on population, you'll get into full lobby exclusively if you have to wait a bit once you que.
