so i was playing goblin caves with a few randoms and one of them was a barbarian (im a ranger) everytime i got a kill this guy would swoop in mid fight and loot the guy i killed while im fighting the rest of the team, anyway after about 3 team wipes this barbarian (on my team) has looted up all the bodies taken everything valuable and is heading for the exit, so at this point im kinda mad i put in all the work and hes gonna steal the profits so i execute him, he gets mad at me for team killing am i the bad guy for not letting him be a loot goblin on all my kills or is he just a ass?

having actual helmet gear have good headshot damage reduction would help. cloth items shouldn't, but a metal helmet should provide some more than it currently does. like the 15ish% we currently have isn't much.

I liked the way the game used to be though, without continous dungeon. you could load into a lobby and win that lobby by being the last one in the circle. they just needed to add a nice loot chest that spawned at the end with the guaranteed portals. would make people want to stick around to the end and fight over it if it was a good loot spawn (high rarity)

Realistically in the environment they're in it was stupid to grand stand about micro transactions. And I understand they were towing the line with offering gold bags via DLC when they made gold storage a pain in their ass themselves as conveivably gray-area p2w content, but I think games like this absolutely should have micro transactions to sustain their bottom line that are limited to cosmetics and emotes, because those of us that do want to buy them will and it'll make up for not getting a number of other players from that stream alone.

I doubt SDF will see this, but in the small chance he does — if you plan on adding back random modifiers, consider making it one roll on every rarity. However, the higher the rarity, the higher that one stat can roll.

Let’s say you have a green pair of boots. They have their base stat and a random modifier. Let’s say the random modifier is action speed. If you roll action speed on the green piece, it should only go up to, like, 0.8% action speed. But as the rarity goes up, that stat can scale as well.

That way, there’s a reason to boss and a reason to grind for that high-tier loot — instead of just PvPing for it.

+1 is a huge difference if it puts you past a breakpoint. And eventually if they add skins with knowledge +1 will mean potentailly getting to sub out a piece of gear that you'd need for your spell setup. Case in point, my warlock can 1 shot headshot skelly archers with orc skin, but not without it thanks to +1 str giving be just the extra touch I needed)

I think everyone is seeing this thing as a downhill slide, but really it's more of a roller coaster, they'll eventually drop more stuff that pop booms us. The issue is whether they can maintain that pop (or if it's worth maintaining it). It's entirely possible to turn something around as long as they don't fold and give up. We've seen it before. When Hello Games did their player base dirty, they were put to the flame. A few years later NMS is one of the best games ever made in the genre. IM has the opportunity to do the same here. Just take accountability and grind.

It comes down to the frequency of third party’s and the survivability of third parties in a trio environment vs. a solo environment. It’s much easier to disengage a third party in the solos queue. In trios a 1v3 quickly becomes a 1v6. It’s just not the gameplay a lot of solo queues are looking for.

Player count was dwindling already, its an issue that has to be addressed at some point, they shouldve done it back in patch 69 the first time we went through this approach, kicking the can again, you have classes like warlock, druid and sorcerer that are playing an entirely different game resource wise (all cooldown based), older classes need some updating, modifiers just complicate this I would think

sdf, i beg you, please add rolls back to items. without rolls, the marketplace is absolutely useless, as i could go in with a common longsword and do 4 less damage then a legendary one would do. then you have to think how useless unique and artifacts are. earlier, i was playing rogue and i bought a legendary dagger which did 21 damage. the unique was 2000 coins and all it did was 1 extra damage. this is like saying all a 2000 gold upgraded dagger will do the same amount of health as a mouse or chicken.

First sentence is a huge red flag for this game's development. Balance based on FEELING? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Balance should be based on statistics. Sdf is a vibe coder who ignores statistics. That's he deleted solos despite it being the most popular game mode and was likely where most of the game's money came from. It's the players who develop the meta after getting a real feel for the classes strengths and weaknesses, there's always a considered top and bottom tier for viability, the goal is making it so every class can be played effectively, they've added a lot of unique stuff to give classes depth since the playtest days. I love smoke pot double jump rogue, it's so tricky and I love getting teams to fight each other while I scoop their loot like a devious rat.

Everyone knows its not enough, you can shapeshift indefinitely if you aren't just spamming it one after the other. Druids have to rest in DnD after shapeshifting. Wizards in DaD have to rest after casting spells to get back charges, why shouldn't druids, why shouldnt warlocks, why shouldnt bards, why shouldn't sorcerers. Oh wait, Clerics do though......what do Wizard and Cleric have in common? Original DaD classes. Every new class added since then has a cooldown based economy, no resting. The game needs to be slowed down and more defensive options need to be implemented.

Rogue got the shaft because they switched to HTK over TTK as their concept, since the rogue hits fast naturally with most weapons due to their base dex and the weapon choices themselves it jacks up the concept of a general HTK. It's almost like they wanted to make it less playable so they could focus on gathering stats on targeted classes.

Game don't need more class, just more maps and boss, different dungeon generation (maps are just scares since 2/3 years), bigger stats number and numbers in general to balance pvp easier. Adding more class is good but u first need to balance the game right before adding that many class. It took many years for big tittles like world of warcraft to add new class to the game, at least 2 or 3 years for 1 new class... not saying that wow is perfect balance but obviously adding 4 class in 2 years is a big deal for this kind of games that are focused on pve and pvp interactions.

It's a 10% difference which again, gets skewed heavily in favor of solos based on what I told you above.

Solos will always be the highest played mode due to lower requirements to join (aka less players needed ofc).
If you did a survey and people had to vote on their prefered game mode it would be a completely different thing.

I played more solos than trios last season because my friends got tired of SDF's sht and I just wanted to chill so didnt bother finding ppl for trios but I would always vote on trios being the best gamemode by far. It's more tactical, it's more fun to play with other people and it genuinely feels like the game was made for trios since the very start.

I understand that people still want solos though but I do think exploring the current mixed queues has its potential. It works well in other games I don't see why it couldn't in DnD

It just needs to be done properly and I don't think lowering time to kill and turning the game into 1 shot simulator + boring ass loot simulator because of no rolls aint the way forward to achieve it

Lizard has Headshot reduction but no helm and it's a set head armor class, which isn't bad but it's meh. I personally recomend the Orc, the Wearwolf, or a cat.

Orcs get more strength, Werewolves get vigor with the no helmet limit, and cats have better agility which is better than dex in my opinion.

idk man longsword is still pretty good. it has decent range and a light amount of slow for a 2 hander. yeah parrying is bad rn but stop trying to fish on rogues and wizards

dont even mention the first hit is a stab. that auto makes it much better. and it is a sword so on fighter its stats are even better

Long sword by far the most broken 2 hander in the game. Every class brings it, -30 ms only, being able to turn the fight in an instant if you think that weapon needs a buff you are litterally crazy..

honestly current half-patch without stats is fun if you play for deathmatch, because here barely any item gap between u and other players
however its also feels unrewarded if you play to get good loot
i wish later seasons normal mode(non-adventure,non-hr) to have similar system where items dont have secondary stat(or have them, just dont calculate them for player if hes in normal mode), but at same time these items have secondary stats in adventure and hr modes (or calculate them only if player in adventure mode or HR)

I reported 'bout 12 people for teaming up in solo hr b4 the semiwipe, no one has got banned, and thats only the ones i was able to report, that i died to or when i extracted and was still in, couldnt report the ones i killed or that tried to team up with me, now they're teasing soloes comeback... If theyre not gonna enforce their own rules...

Tl;dr.: Teaming was the worse issue in soloes, not the balancing, and they didnt enforce the no teaming rule.

That's not how it went.
Before patch 69, balance was okay. Then decided to strip all away. To revert it later. Then to add for next wipe +4all and so on. Just for it to be removed, back to patch 69. And now ?
Reverted again.... People never wanted what we had before semi wipe, it's literally you saying so without any evidence backing it. What about squire gear lobbies? Then roadmap, well you need one to disapoint people, but guess what IM managed that without a roadmap, other than that, they should ve one (do you really see the vision ? or a roadmap would help?)
Also the revert just proves my points, can't give faith to people not giving a roadmap and doing circles.
