Based on what SDF said in the kitchen I think that gear won't be why you play anymore, not the main goal at least. He spoke about whealth replacing power/gear and at the same time he spoke of Guilds, housing and training system. Imo the plan is to add system that act as gold sink and that either give in dungeon advantage, like the training system and goldsmith or are like the guilds. To me the guilds would require it's own marketplace, quest, a guild hall that can be improved and customized and people would need to put gold in their guilds to improve the hall, unlock more sell space on the market, new merchant, participate in guilds Tournament or guilds vs guilds event, you could also have a PvE guilds event, like an infinite raid going down with wave of monster and boss every X floor. You'd unlock stuff for your guild at each floor until let's say floor 20 and after that it's a leaderboard thing to compete against other guilds about who reached the deepest floor. And make it so you can extract like every 5 floors and you lose gear if you die, and need to bring meds and consumables. And that would make you play to farm gold, but they need to add more to the gameplay loop, new point of interest to farm resources and gold. And probably add new craft that require resources that you get through your guilds or housing system, or in particular in dungeon Point of Interest. I like the idea (If I interpreted it right) but the extraction side of the game would become more of a Roguelike, where you gather resources in the dungeon and use them to get power up for your next run. On the topic of Solo and the TTK i just don't understand tho, I don't see a world where 1vs3 and solo player in trio lobby work and same goes for low TTK it's just trash. Also the way he's doing those change, removing stuff without a replacement ready or even planned etc is terrible, I spoke more about that here #game-discussion message

@cosmic swan The only way you’re beating someone with full BIS is if you’re in equal or greater BIS and/or the player is just worse than you. Or catching them off guard landmining, and guess what? That’s all that people did was land mine! Who would’ve thought? That was in no way healthy for the game just because it was ‘fun’ to find gear with good rolls. We need balanced gear, less stat rolls or harder to obtain stat rolls via gemming system. And we also need balanced classes, like rogue for example, should not be able to be 150 HP, same with rangers, true should not exist, armor pen should be useful. All attributes only benefits fighters and barbs, shouldn’t be a thing. MS should be capped differently for each class, rogues and ranges being the fastest due to base agi, fighters need a nerf to sprint, again. Barbs need a nerve to ms on rage. There are so many things that need to be fixed. And guess what’s the best way to fix all of these things? Nerfing gear into the ground to balance at an equal playing field, where no one can build crazy items. That way it can be balanced at the core.

I get that, but removing all random attribut also kill builds variety and interest in looting. And right now PvP is not fun/unfair because the TTK is so low.
As I said, the idea is good, the execution is terrible. You can't start by removing things without add anything to compensate, especially if you didn't communicate your intention clearly. Now that we know a bit more it make more sense but the damage has been done and there's nothing to do in the game for at least a couple week since we start to see feature.

It would have been smarter to say "Listen here's what we're planning to do : Blablabla. For the next two month we're going to focus on that and will stop making balance and hotfix on the live server. We'll put the new thing we want to test on the test server, make it available for Steam user and improve it (every class lvl 20, full affinity with merchant, unlimited gold or infinite gold storage, merchant that sell all type of gear for free or very cheap/squire that allow you to start with higher rarity gear) and give blue shard or something to people who participate. We'll make call to ask people to come test thing when needed. If enough people play along and come on the test server we'll keep it that way, otherwise we'll temporarly shut down live server on short periode of time for testing purpose"

I agree honestly, like I said in a previous post there can be the same amount of modifiers as last season they just need to change it a bit. Instead of random modifiers being on gear off rip, you should have to gem a random modifier in. And also the rolls should increase as you go up in tiers. So like greens can only roll 1 and blues up to 2 etc. also remove true phys and true mag, increase the power of mag scaling and increase magic resist on a lot of items other than plate, or make a set of items like plate focused towards mag resist. And remove all atts.

wonder if ill get banned for saying this but my feedback as a almost 2000 hour player who hasnt touched the game in a year is that ironmace and especially sdf have absolutely no ability to improve the game. I've played since the very first playtest and even though we didnt have a lot of knowledge on the game id still say the balance was in a very good spot. The amount of number tweaking for absolutely no reason has been horrendous and there has never been real consistency in what type of game is being played. It is impossible to satisfy every type of player but the one thing I know for certain is trying to allocate every patch to new or uncompetitive players is incredibly stupid. The only way this game will ever go back to the gold state that it was is if sdf resigns and the entire dev team is replaced.

It's supposed to be a place where they put update before putting them on the live server so people can test thing and give feedback, find bug etc. The issues is that they don't use the test server and use the live server as a testing ground, pissing off everyone. And they never made the test server convenient to use, you still have to lvl up all you class, do quest to get affinity, farm gear, gold, and gold storage etc which is terrible because people want to test the new things and help dev without needing to grind

Good afternoon! I'm here about the Slayer subclass. Please improve this subclass, because it is literally unable to compete neither in ranged combat nor in close combat. A fighter in armour is better at everything, as sad as it is to admit. Maybe we should upgrade them. I think we should improve the bonus from the Slayer perk. I have a couple of suggestions. As a player who mains this class.

1. Add a bonus to movement speed to the Slayer perk. Let's say reduces the penalty to movement speed in the presence of 2 weapons. (sword) That would give the opportunity not to go with a dagger + bonus to piercing armour. 15% in the absence of crushing in the hands that would be a profit to go with a short sword.
2. Merging passive perks Slayer and paired weapons that would remove from the game lat fighters with rapier and sphere in the hands. Which are literally better than slayers in everything. Giving you the option of not having to choose between combo attack or speedwalking.
   Well I guess you can come up with your own ideas too. I'd love to hear your changes. For Slayer plays almost no role in a trio. Especially in highrol and arena.
   I will say a couple of problems slayer:
3. it is a very slow class in the game, slower than barbarians, because of the presence of 2 weapons in the hands of an average penalty -35 movement speed. And since it is a melee fighter, it is very unmobile. Often, a cleric with a mace in his hand is faster than a slayer. And does a lot more damage than him.

2. Weak damage, literally not enough to deal with melee fighters. Like armoured fighters or barbarians. The only way out is to pick up a hammer with 20% penetration and an orb. The role of the sword is rather scarce: knight and short swords do very little damage compared to hammers and maces, and the slayer has no armour penetration. Falchion is good, but it's slow and turns 2 weapons into an unnecessary offshoot. There is no general combo. Slayer, on the other hand, is meant to be a 2 weapon fighter.

3. Having a small up to damage, the Slayer becomes a target for 2-3 hits, as Slayers don't live long even with high xp and maximum heavy leather armour. He has weak defence, while being slow and a melee fighter.

4. A small arsenal of clothing. For example, choosing a headdress and carrying throwing knives without perk. + Wearing a wanderer's cloak.

5. 90% of players run away from Slayer after 1-2 successful back-to-back attacks. The way out is to add slowdown to auto attacks. It's unbearable to play on slayer at the moment, I don't want to carry neither hammers nor daggers. if I want to walk like that I'll take a cleric or a brigand.

6. You need to upgrade the knight sword, you've nerfed it very unfairly. It's the only convenient weapon for slayer paired with short sword. And there are no crafted swords of this category. Short sword and Knight sword. + The slayer has a very low attack speed while having 40 action speed. I barely have time to make 2-3 attacks and die from a single poke.

Those 1,000 hours kept me out of the bar spending thousands of $'s as well as not buying party favors to try and find fake happiness that was only a temporary moment.
So to spend $15 on such things to help support the game grow I'd happily do it.

7. 7. You took away the workability of the Breakthrough ability the way it selectively works is disgusting. Fighter has literally nothing to avoid damage. He gets tossed around by fireballs, and all kinds of sorc abilities get knocked back when the fighter's Breakthrough ability is on. I realize that you fixed it so that the barbarian perk wouldn't work. But the barbarian has a lot of tools to catch up, slow down, kill with 1 blow. And the fighter has literally nothing playable, while the barbarian has all the imba. You can combine the abilities of Jerk and Breakthrough, still the barbarian's shout gives much more speed, and at the same time gives everything else to him.
      This means that it doesn't make sense to have two acceleration abilities, just make one, but a normal one that you can remove the flip and at least do some dancing in combat for a couple seconds.
      If you would do at least something in that direction, I and the remaining killers would be very grateful, support an endangered species, remember us. We can be honorable if the game will let us.
      We'd love to be helpful to teammates if the game lets us.
      Rapiers and spheres are disgusting. I would like a better implementation of combat on weapons in both hands.
      After reworking the subclass, you could add the assassin's aura (-1-2) to all the group's characteristics. Just for fun, but there should be a power advantage to such a fighter. So that the sacrifice wouldn't be in vain.
      It would be a fun reminder of how unwelcome this class was in the group. (just let there be no unnecessary glow, shadow is everything to a killer!)

See my problem with this update I understand they want it to be a clean slate and figure out where balance issues are sure even though they’ve already done that whatever lol right now magic classes are useless and I’m a fighter main barbarians can one shot any class same with melee warlocks. Yea thing is there’s so much you can do with this game and I think that’s why everyone is so mad because if you think about not a lot has been done content wise if anything everything’s been taken away. That being said the easy solution to gear would be to make it less impact but more customizable. For example having only defensive stats on defensive gear as in armors BUT adding things that help certain builds for example plate chest piece that have pdr rdr but increases the cast speed of shield bash (the skill) that way you’re getting tankiness but only that instead of getting def off and move speed buffs all on 1 piece of gear. But you’re also getting something that can help your build your specific build that way you have satisfaction like your building into something and it would make shit skills maybe useable

No it's not. Honestly after what SDF said in the kitchen I finally kinda see where he's going and it's seem cool (here's how I see things #game-discussion message). But the execution of his plan is mediocre. You can't start by removing things without adding anything to compensate, especially if you didn't communicate your intention clearly. Now that we know a bit more it make more sense but the damage has been done and there's nothing to do in the game for at least a couple week since we start to see feature.

It would have been smarter to say "Listen here's what we're planning to do : Blablabla. For the next two month we're going to focus on that and will stop making balance and hotfix on the live server. We'll put the new thing we want to test on the test server, make it available for Steam user and improve it (every class lvl 20, full affinity with merchant, unlimited gold or infinite gold storage, merchant that sell all type of gear for free or very cheap/squire that allow you to start with higher rarity gear) and give blue shard or something to people who participate. We'll make call to ask people to come test thing when needed. If enough people play along and come on the test server we'll keep it that way, otherwise we'll temporarily shut down live server on short period of time for testing purpose"

Not enough player because they never used it so some people don't even know it's a thing, Steam player can't use it and you need to grind to level your class, do quest for affinity and farm gear and gold. That's stupid, you don't want to do that and shouldn't have to do that on a test server. I strongly believe that with a bit of work the test server could be a very powerful tool, avoiding them those kind of drama and reducing the amount of issues and delay when they push update on the live server xD
