The TTK is sub 2 seconds on average meaning it’s literally up to chance on who kills who. There is not counter when you have 2 seconds before you die. This isn’t true balance this is the cheapest way to “balance” mechanics simply because they can’t address the core issues of classes and how classes benefit from gear. Now that gear does essentially nothing, there is no point in grinding for loot. This is an extraction looter. The incentive for extracting was the gear / loot you found in raid, since the value of the loot is 0 there is no incentive to extract. This is now an unpolished poorly designed BR. Anyone arguing that getting star checked justifies the changes is just wrong. We had a solution to this before: gear brackets. BUT the cost of running the servers cut into IM’s budget. They simply could not afford to be successful. Plain and simple the only reason they removed gear brackets (and solos and duos) was because of server costs.

In patch 85, looting was worth it, people could play HOWEVER THEY WANTED: solo, duo, trio, blue normals, HR epic, HR artifact, pve... there was a place in this game for every kind of player. Normally I back the game and am interested in what they will do. But honestly, the game does feel dry at the moment. My problem is they cant seem to choose a direction. WHAT is the game supposed to be? Is it a pvp/extraction game, then they have to make it rewarding to extract! If their goal is battle royal, then i suppose this is the right direction. Intellectual property laws are some of the most complicated to argue, prove and also adjudicate (in my opinion) I agree Nexon lost their other lawsuits but the court found in favor of them over the industry secrets claim. The reason that is so telling is because it is in a way admitting that there was information gained from working at Nexon that could reasonably had lead to the success of dark and darker. Especially since they worked on a project that was in concept very similar.

Thats just rogues gimmick, its gimmick isnt being 1 shot like a druid rat 😭 I play pickpocket rogue and it just doesnt help that I have no hp if I get caught or anything, I was 1 shotted by an archer, a mage, barbarian, fighter.. EVERY CLASS one shots me and on top of that rogues do ZERO damage (dagger just recieved -2 dmg like wtf).. So the class at the moment is have NO health and do NO damage. Hear me out, what if they brought back random modifiers but instead of it giving several random modifiers, each item can only have 1 random modifier and each tier of the item, that modifier goes up
The way it'll work is that if a green item has a action speed random modifier, it's always the same at 3% action speed, the higher the rank the better the modifier with a purple item giving like 9% action speed which keeps the ability to set your gear to how you like it without making the skill gap incredibly massive

I got downvoted into red when i solo queued into arena before semi wipe by two litteral kids that blocked me in starting room with their bodies every round. Now when I queue in with randoms they TK me instantly becuse my name is red saying i got red for team killing. -didn’t listen to any of the actual good players that give feedback like Jay, Vincent, etc

Unfortunately it’s the definition of insanity at this point. We can’t make these changes 6 wipes in and expect growth, let alone even that the game stays alive. I thought by now we’d figure out a path but it’s too far gone.

I hate the modifier removal, but I will also admit you can make the game work without it. I think the biggest issue though is lack of end game progression. Gear/eco gave tons of players a reason to load in. Without something to chase (like cosmetics tied to achievements), it's just a 1 dimensional PvP game with a couple boss encounters.

Also, the current ranged meta is a joke and it's crazy they didn't see that coming. Buffing damage modifiers and lowering health across the board while buffing ranged weapons is just such a bad idea that 1000s of people could have seen coming

Rn i think end game loot is still very strong, like some uniques give 7 of there roll. I think the game is better off without random modifiers, thats just me though. I do like that fact that legendary gear feels legendary and it sells for alot. But there needs to more of it across the board, loading into normals and not getting at least a green after 3 chests is stupid. That's not true. The rules update constantly and there is never a notification as to when they do and what has changed or been added. Most people who joined this server did so when the rules were 3 simple lines.

They change and modify based on whatever rediculous rule you want to enact that day.
