i wish you saw the game i played where my trio went down to highroller crypts, and i got triple shot and died with 40%pdr and saw that the duo that killed me within half a second were in all ms unique gear with four named weapons, if you tell someone the only way theyll be able to use gear above commons is that they need to dump thousands of hours into this game to be able to compete with someone running OP gear than thats not a good gameplay loop or method to gain new players.

I think they removed the slight nerf there was to unique rolls. But you can socket any gear grade, roll over a shit roll with a attribute of your chosing. Ir will then roll a random percentage on the quality of attribute like 1-3 str etc or 1-3% pd

Makes it easier to get a good set, you buy something with 1 or 2 good rolls for semi cheap, and you socket the rest. Always stash gems etc.

I guarantee most of the people who truly doom about this game (besides the expected amount) see nothing special about its core gameplay or mechanics anymore. I haven't even seen every boss yet. Think about how cool that is for me. Pressing G to sit down and heal is still novel.

If you aren't already conditioned to train yourself in pvp without feeling down about it, which takes hundreds of hours for most anyone, the pvp in this game is going to be terrible for you. Meaning an alternative where you never have to fight someone is like cheese on a mousetrap, people will get stuck and never learn the game. If they have no choice, they'll either bounce off (the game wasn't for them, that's ok, not everything is your style) or they'll persevere and LEARN the mindset, and have loads more fun and see more content for it. I come from sea of thieves, this is a big thing over there and you really don't wanna get into it with me about it. AND NOTE AMONG IT ALL: I didn't say it was a bad mindset that draws people in, just the wrong one for this kind of game. The difference is notable.

Again, I AM a new player. If you think this game needs to live up to skyrim, you're missing the point.

You are actually, genuinely, not out of a sense of superiority or to put you down, just on a factual level, wrong about the game you're playing.

You do not understand what makes it special, and you will not because PvE is still an option to you.

If it is taken away, either you will leave and never understand anyway, or you will perservere, hate it for 100 hours, and then love it with all your heart for the next 1.9k.

Even a slim chance of giving new players that experience, the proper experience for this kind of game, is worth it.

And again it harms queues, we only don't have rares right now because pve has to exist. It's not about my personal market experience for me, I don't buy gear, I don't trust myself with it yet, it's about the principles.

EDIT: Jondar is right, Artifact drops are disabled in pve. We're complaining about prices going down for things like gold and rubysilver and valuables you'd normally have to risk your ass to farm. At least that's the problem I have with it.

going to PvE first to learn the mobs attacks and where enemies are found in what modules is a huge help for newer players. get good at killing PvE->move on to PvPvE without having to worry as much about dying to some random mob

There's nothing wrong with you having fun that way, but you are missing out and there is something wrong with letting others fall into that trap. Grind artifacts? I can't survive more than 10 minutes in HR! If PvE would give this game more players then why hasn't it already.

Only being able to learn HR mobs at a 100 dollar fee and surrounded by bis'd out players is psychotic. One doesn't go away with the other, you're not choosing one half over the other, you're missing out on one half

It's also worth mentioning that the game is in Early Access and it's been stated multiple times that things will be added and possibly removed again—just look at multi-classing. I think the most likely explanation is that the business plan cannot support their company size with the server cost and lawsuit fees so they are relinquishing all control to SDF as they downsize and ultimately shut the servers off within a year

some random ideas for the game, let me know if any of these are good or bad:

give wiz a perk that makes his spell wheels have 6 spell slots so he can actually be the nerd with all the spells (and give him more spells so he can actually make use of it)

a short ranged blinkspell for wiz and an arcane bolt spell similar to lich projectile that pierces targets, also maybe an ice storm or ice wind spell, could be an aoe or the ice version of sorcs flamethrower (they would need to add a limit on ice mastery being able to freeze once per spell or something)

maybe make a one handed sickle weapon for warlock, druid, monk and maybe cleric? could have some magic heal as a base stat on it

a big two handed mace or morning star for fighter, barb, cleric, etc

I legit do not enjoy the game anymore. Since I've started playing they added like 3 new mobs and some named weapons. And changed stats around (not balancing) while both adding them removing fog of war and making 2/3 of the maps randomized. There is nothing new I've been fighting bosses and playing HR. It's hurting it. Usually a large volume of players would drive the price of gear down as people would extract and list extra gear on the market.

But that's happening less now. A lot of the solo farmers now are quitting altogether or playing PvE. Any mid range player who would supply items in the market is now getting ran over by juicers or just playing the absolute fiesta that is normals rn

Well... as a new player to this game, I feel like I'll play for a few weeks whilst everything is still new and interesting, having fun in the normal white PvP lobbies. Then it'll get very boring since I will not be able to slowly progress up to blue/purple lobbies and instead have to jump in HR where I'll get destroyed and just quit.

Yeah it wasn't with a lot of forethought. There might have been a short time when some optimistic players would try HR - but not everyone can aquire and use gear at the same rate. Eventually people will just be driven out by those holding all the good gear

If a good kit for HR costs 10k, and I can farm that in like 2-3 days grinding as a beginner, then go in 1 HR and get absolutely smacked - I'm pretty sure I'll be disappointed and quit after a few attempts xD I understand it's a hardcore game and the dev wants to make it feel as a genuine fantasy adventure but it's a game after all. If it's not enjoyable people will ditch it.

Old goblin caves was fun but he turned it into a random deadend hallway hell to force everyone off of it to play ruins, but ruins isn't even that great old crypts was bettter, questing is cheap, and no one really wants to play HR but he's frocing everyone to play it. No solos sucks too. Everything he's done since 69 has been awful.

The problem of solo queue goes deep, the most crucial problem is that soloq is impossible to balance with the actual game system, and if they want to focus in trios gameplay and will only balance with trios in mind some classes will become simply gods in solo and others unplayable and that will generate endless angry people crying about solo balance, this is something that with the current system is impossible to fix and so removing it deals with the problem
