A skull key only has value because of the value we give it using it as a cash substitute due to how expensive gold storage is. It should never be used to try to make money. If it was guarenteed to have Uniques drop, the actual use value of the key would skyrocket and would no longer be a monetary stand in.

In Arena, you get gear back ONLY if it's crafted or "Found by" you. Otherwise you lose it. But soon (coming with the next update) they'll start a new mini arena season where you can bring any piece of gear up to legendary without losing it

ONLY if you LOOTED it. So if someone else brought it into a raid, and you kill them, taking it off their body, it will say "found by" that person. If they find it in THAT raid, put it on, then you take it off of them and it says "Looted" then when you evac with it it will say "Found by: Your name"

They just nerfed all magical damage in the most recent patch effectively by roughly 50%, so any spell caster without gear with + true magical damage will feel awful to play due to the lack of magical damage you will do.

I recommend that especially in low gear score lobbies, you play any class that doesn't rely on magical damage, like Fighter, Ranger, Barbarian, or Bard!

Ironmace doesn't really know what they're doing with this game's balance, so if you like a certain class, or specific playstyle, don't get too attached, because Ironmace might just nuke it with nerfs for no apparent reason 👍

What makes HR hard is not the things which relate to the map or module layouts, it is the threat imposed by other players. Other players seeing which direction you could have taken and knowing the possible routes you could have taken/mobs they can force you into makes for a much greater threat than being able to lose them in the fog of the map.

Exactly what moe said, norms was thought of as a stepping stone into HR. Hence the current gear bracket system, you get some greens and blues in norms, then use those in HR to fight the harder mobs.

one region doesnt make up the playerbase. and 124s isnt really what were talking about. 124s have always had pvp. were talking about high roller. its literally a wasteland with the recent changes. anyone that played highroller regularly can clearly tell. you dont see any named items anymore, you dont see any gearsets barely past the gear score anymore, you dont even see players anymore, and just because one region may have a couple more than the other doesnt really mean anything because at the end of the day those regions are all bracketed and any region with low queue times is unhealthy for the game

I think it's an attempt to make the game more new player oriented. As where the game was at before learning or entering the game for a new player was kind of a nightmare. I'm not saying these changes are the right way to achieve this either I'm more just trying to assess why they probably did it. With FOW in normals it keeps noobs more safe from rush or pvp perverts who now don't actually know where they're going or where the spawns are. While maintaining no FOW for HR though I assume keeping randomization there is to further prevent spawn rushing

I suggest watching videos on YouTube about how to play a PvP rouge.
Rouge is very hard to play for new players due to it being heavily reliant on good gear. Until you have your fourth skill unlocked it will be a challenge. Those should be your first steps.
Imo play skills that help you farm gold first. Then once you unlock the skill slots farm good gear and change your skills. Rouge with good gear is very dangerous once you understand how its damage output can scale up.
Early game it’s very painful just stay with it.

Look for the room just next to Pyramid its got a giant in the room along with a health shrine at the other end of thw room, and middle pit full of kobolds, LOTS of oak chests in that room

Id get rid of hide mastery and back attack and replace them with stealth (so you can reposition during fights and get a better angle/appear somewhere unexpectedly) and dagger mastery. For hide rogue Id run cutthroat/hide as skills. then Stealth dagger mastery, poison and as fourth either ambush (nice if you have low phys dmg and basically a short sprint to get you to 330ms), creep, thrust or jokester

I dont really play much rogue tbh but especially in trios if youre a hide rogue you need to either get a pick by baiting them into you or flanking and collapsing together with your team. Ive seen some people play very high HP/pdr builds as a frontline but I feel like it often requires a lot of good spacing/dodging. In general I feel like rogue is a hard starter class for new players especially in frontline matchups

I'm basically down to just boss fight quests and I will state that the random dungeon and fog of war has RUINED the experience and sets players up to fail. You cannot find the room, you don't have enough time to fight the boss because you spent so long finding the room, and now you cannot fight them even in high roller because the room will be consumed by the stupid death ring if it's on the map edge. Random dungeons is cool for normal play/looting, but it is absolutely garbage for goal driven play like quests or bossing. GET RID OF THE FOG OF WAR. it's ruining the game experience.

longer timers aren't a great solution. you can get dumped into the map late with the 'continuous dungeon' and you still gotta search through potentially 25 rooms to find the boss room. the PVP competition is another topic entirely.
