I've also been creating some other characters...mostly for extra bag storage 😉 When season restarts do my characters retain their items and inventory? Is there level retained? Why is the Goblin Merchant rebuy mechanic time-bound? That is the most frustrating mechanic imaginable. I died to a boss, and I decided to take a shower and then come back to buy my gear and run it back. By the time I came back, it timed out and I lost a kit worth thousands of gold. I cannot fathom a reason why the goblin merchant's buy back inventory cannot be coded similarly to the player's stash where the items wait indefinitely until the player opts for their destruction.

One more noob question. I've only done lvl 1 and lvl 2 (mostly goblin caves as I'm still learning on the escape routes on that map first). I see under the high roller there is a warning about being friendly 😉 It doesn't always work but part of my strategy is to raise my arms in surrender and then sit down to rest. Most people realize I'm a noob and move on others obviously kill me right away. So I guess that strategy is not allowed in high roller games?

yeah, sorry, i don't play warlock so can't offer much in terms of suggestions. just make sure you are close enough for the spell to work and you are aiming at the enemy's body and not their shield. it's the curses that are short range, i think the life drain beam has no range limit

As a healing druid abuser, lifebloom really does need a second look. It's way overpowered lmao. 6 extra health to each teammate every time one of my Over-time heals ticks is actually broken as hell. especially when theres over-time heals and I can use Dreamfire. My friends account got banned for cheating. He is not cheating, as i was the one to teach him the game and was playing with him. He is playing with below minimum requirements, barely hitting 40 fps on 50% resolution scale, but we enjoy the game so much that he doesn't even care. One day he gets banned and on the screen it said "Notification pop-up". We were a bit confused as he constantly gets killed by mobs as he's really bad, we tought it might be a mistake so he sent an email regarding the issue, and they refused to review it. A couple of email back and forth, the case was forwarderd to another "team" to review the gameplay. They reviewed it and still said he was cheating, even tho he wasn't. There is no way a sane person looked at that noob footage of him and said "Oh, this guy is most definetely cheating", as i mentioned already he was getting killed by creeps constantly as he's bad af. So, that's it, we're stopped from enjoying this bloody game. He is poor and unable to afford the game, the account he was playing on had a free Epic Games copy of the legendary status, and they refuse to unban him. This is just pathethic to say the least. No matter how many breaks i take with this game pick it up again after some time, nothing new I try every comes remotely close to the feel of the old game with random portal exits. Ik a lot of players feel like the zone mechanic is a contentious issue, so I'm not even referring to that aspect of the pervious builds even though it worked tremendously well at increasing player interactions... but anyways. Literally every raid is so fucking boring when you wander around an empty map because people have the static and red exits memorized. In a PVP extraction game, you should never have a 100% chance of getting out with your stuff. This element of risk is what keeps these games alive and makes them fun. Its not fun when you out play someone so they resort to taking off their clothes for more move speed and running in a straight line to an exit that exists 100% of the time in the same spot 1:30 into every raid. It was a lot more engaging when you had to interact with other players and play to the strengths of your class to fight for an exit if you wanted to get out with your stuff. Especially now that the goblin brings back all your kit if no one takes it out. So really dying because you cant find an exit isn't even a big deal.

I've seen a large influx of new players. Haven't seen so many concurrent players during week at such a late stage of the wipe. Things are looking good. I hate that Nexon earned some money from the corporate biased courts in Korea, but it seems like the game is still on track to growing and thriving. I think the marketing is working.

What I wish to see coming from Ironmace in the near future is to be more serious about balance. I think they could use a dedicated team that plays most of the classes at a high level but also tries squire lobbies. Balancing has always been the main pain point of the game and it killed one of DaD's competitors.

Here is my list of balance changes we need:

• change lifebloom aura (acts as +20 magical healing for some spells, it's OP in duo/trio, arena)
• reduce reckless attack damage and penalty/cooldown (one shot not fun, but should still be viable)
• reduce windlass dmg (one shot not fun)
• warlock +5 all is too much, TM warlock was good before, demonlock was ok in buff ball, but now all warlock playstyles are viable, demonlock is obsolete (because you lose +5 all if you turn back to normal) and TM is OP. Also +5 all warlocks are half the lobbies in every <25 match (at least in Europe)

Do you agree? And is there something else that needs adjustments?

I agree that removing true damage would simplify gearing up a lot. And I think that would be a good thing. There are too many modifiers, and we are spending way too much time in market. Time we could actually spend in-game instead. IMO they should have fewer rarities. Gear, after a certain point, becomes a chore, both to sell if you are winning and to buy if you are losing.

I think trade house is great, self found would make killing very geared players unsatisfying. But a self-found mode would be amazing. Imagine they make something like that like a limited queue. Or imagine they make a limited time game mode similar to SrslySoapy's tournaments, but built in the game. That would be insane... the future possibilities for this game are endless.

Yeah but the math doesnt work. Armor pen is trash compared to True dmg. And the way you can stack true and combo it with different classes it was causes a lot of the imbalance at late hame play

Before ANYTHING else , i think the AP system needs a big rework. My opinion , you shouldnt ever lose AP. You should just simply be rewarded for playing HR. It would get more people out of 24s and in HR lobbies. Battlepass style , but without having to pay for it. Half the leaderboard are cheaters anyway , noone cares about that. They just want to farm AP and get their cosmetics

They need to reward players more for playing HR in general and spending time in the dungeon and not just rewarding gigachads that spend more time in the trade house than they do actually playing the video game

Honestly, I feel like the AP penalty is negligable and AP system is the best it's ever been. I got to exemplar 2 just trying to solo HR bosses and taking fights I shouldn't (against my counter classes). It's probably the first wipe I will get demigod, just because other wipes I found it too boring.

But I do think they should orient it more towards PvP. Maybe double points for fighting? Because the main probablem I see with AP is... AP farmers that run away to the first portal whenever they see someone else.

What better rewards than making so much more gold and getting to use much better gear? I think right now there is a pretty natural progression as you gain more experience. Squire lobbies -> 124 budget gear -> 124 BIS -> 224 budget -> 224 BIS -> 225+ budget -> 225+ BIS. It makes a lot of sense to me and this is how I recommend new players to approach the game. Just move up the brackets as you start feeling more and more comfortable with PvP and gather riches

The AP system is hot garbage. Cant change my mind on that , iv seen to many very well thought out arguements. There are way better ways proposed to handle this and would be way better for the entire player base at all levels. You should check out the Darkest Hour podcast with Soma , they talk a lot about this type of stuff with high level streamers

I watch it almost religiously. I agree AP system is not great, but I am saying it's the best it's ever been. And I think a grind based system works well in a game like this. It's the least grindy now that it's ever been and that is a big + for me.

What would you replace it with? I think I would like to see it tie in with quests and/or achievements. Like having to do certain challenges to pass to the next tier.
