Fighter has a lot of choice of weapons, but the only thing they have going on is physical defense really, barbarian with a shield is the better fighter (besides lack of crossbow)

Arming is not a great weapon, you have to use sword perk if you want it to deal damage comparable to a mace, albeit the attack speed is fast.
But in pvp, if you run shield mastery, which you will run unless you are unhinged, it doesn't matter much (you can attack faster than barb with a 2 hander with either)

the story changes if you have like a super high rarity weapon, artifact arming sword is way better than flanged mace

I don't know exactly, high-ish ping is better with a shield, worse with a longsword.
Keep this in mind, when enemy's hit you, it's client side, so keep that in mind, you don't want to turn into a hit last millisecond, because it's possible that your enemy won't see it in time.

You can easily regen hp from enemies, so when you go into a cleared room, or a dark place, use the hydra to check for enemies

you have to play with more paranoia, use the hydra as often as possible to find enemies, in rooms with living enemies it's not as needed, also tip, with warlock use the falchion and the heater shield, and learn how to desync block, it will make fighting rogues way easier

Shields as of now are super powerful, even though the falchion has an eh moveset, it makes up.

lantern shields are pretty good. They got buffed relatively recently, which is why they've risen in popularity

Lantern Shield's riposte attack multiplier changed from 1.0/1.0 → 1.2/1.2.
Lantern Shield's movement speed penalty reduced from -19 → -10.
Frostlight Lantern Shield's movement speed penalty reduced from -15 → -7.

I think they're a little more niche, they're definitely not straight up beating out heater shields generally speaking, but they have their own uses (disclaimer just my opinion not fact)

You need to understand. To get near a sorcerer. you need to bypass 2 air spells that throw you away.
But before you get that, trying to get near a ms/will sorcerer he will throw toons of spells. If you get him by surprise if he is good, he will throw a 150 damage fireball to your face.

how i imagine training system is you choose your playstyle for examaple fighter: you got tree for sword and shield, longsword, halberd etc. Maximum points would be 100 so taking exp from quests on your main character actually makes sense other than lvling up to 20 the rest of your characters

and you get stats from tree and less from equipment which would make gear difference a little less impact

If you mean socketing gems unto armor, then yes you can choose what armor. and yes you can use and item from the market. any item that has rolls on it.

Literally on my druid now.. The limit to 4 changes.. if you play normally and not "rat - bear - rat - bear or whatever.. you do not see the difference.
It is rare if you need to change THAT fast. Can't troll people I guess.
But to be fair.. you can't change 50% of time thanks to a dirt being near to ya blocking your transformation anyway.

Yeah I’ve noticed quick changing is pretty buggy. Literal dirt will stop you. I just know you can’t output nearly the same damage as you could before. Which I can see why they needed a change. Just worried about full plate fighters in HR I think. Like if the damage out put is legit 0 then I may not continue the class. yes HR trio last wipe, we would wait so long in queue it would give us our own lobby. This wipe, I only wait if I’m playing off peak hours on my server, and never wait for a solo match anytime. Even last wipe off peak I struggled to find a match solo
