It’s hard to keep players long term, especially on a wipe based game. 0-124 is a great experience to learn right now, especially with continuous dungeon. You can hit a blue within a minute of the match.

They need to keep 0-124 but have two separate gs for HR. That way there isn’t a 0-24 battle Royale and you have the chance to learn how to fight against people with a slight gear advantage. But the difference in gear from a 5-8k HR kit and a 100k+ named kit is laughable. Especially in duos and trios

@main lintel the issue is that sub 25s is unhealthy for the game loop. Load in, get gear, go next. Avoid PvP if you want. In sub 25s, you’ll never get to put on your gear! Where is the gameplay loop to keep players? 0-125 makes it so there is class variance/identity, a strong gameplay loop, and helps with the rock-paper-scissors feeling of 24s

I actually purged first floor of crypts but it was boring af I just went max move speed with trash legendary gear on fighter with a legendary Viking sword pretty much max move speed and 160hp with weapon out they literally stopped coming after three games but shit annoying af I just want to play the game

In regards to hide, the stealth wouldn't be an issue if most classes had any chance of survival after rogue breaks invisibility.

Unless there's a raw stat gap between you and the rogue, in most cases the rogue will burst damage you down faster than you can return. You have no option to realistically disengage so hide/ambush returns to "walk away immediately after they use it or die"

The issue with rogue is the same issue rogue had a year ago. Its two viable playstyles are "mosquito from a distance while running around the map" and "invis walk up and burst a class down faster than they can respond"

A rondel rogue out of invis should be on its third stab by the time a fighter is starting their second swing.

The issue with rogue is the lack of meaningful counterplay for both the rogue player and the person fighting the rogue.

Separately if you're getting one tapped as any class, something is off with your build. Two taps are just the "meta" of BIS. Living three hits unless you're built for PDR/Vig is a blessing with how gear is in HR now

When rogue is hitting the 3d stab to a fighter for example, it still needs 4 mroe to kill it, in this time it is easy to get 2 tapped byt that fighter if rogue commits to the fight or jsut each guy just run to heal and reposition.

The counterplay to rogue is letting him go. That's it. If he comes back, you will be ready since you already know he is around.

Rogue is the WEAKEST class in the game right now. They even gave him a hand crossbow so he can afford to play against ranged ones. Everyone complaining about rogues is biased or is complaining about extreme gear diff.

I feel the handcrossbow is a symptom of the fact that bows and ranged combat are far too prevalent in this game. EVERYONE has a bow of some sort now. The game never quite handled the "Bow and Bower" season other than nerfing ranger and slightly nerfing weapon mastery for fighter.

Realistically "letting them go" isn't a counterplay for any class. All you're doing in that case is bleeding heals while the rogue (or whatever class) peppers you from a distance.

My complaints with rogue are inherent to the class design not hide specifically. Just like bard the class was dropped without much thought into how it will last long term.

When the game was just trios before bard dropped, hide wasn't a problem. Now that we've squishier classes (that the rogue should counter) hide is often a "free" kill on them.

In a trios case getting that damage on a fighter then leaving to crossbow (especially with new anti-heal) is monumental for winning a fight.

There's no sense in arguing which class is weakest. But to respond to your point I think Warlock and rogue are at the bottom Unless you're willing to play kite and kiter to win

That's exactly my point. Rogue is at the bottom unless you play Kite and Kitter hahaha. And it is a playstyle I don't like. And the problem is not how weak rogue is, is how strong other classes are.

Fighter needs 7 taps (always in squire, which makes the most "balanced" scenario) to die, barb 7-8 taps to die, while they can 2 tap you even if you try to run, because they can catch you up somehow. Bard hits faster, harder and can debuff and has more HP than a rogue. Cleric 2 taps with smite. Warlock curse of pain clears 1/2 hp with a single hit. Ranger is not a real problem for me, but they have spear + backstep which makes the gap closer difficult but I don't complain about it since I have no problems at all with rangers personally. Same with wizard. Running cut throat is free kill. Sorcerer is a bit too much, an they have a Longsowrd because they thought it would be nice to. Druid runs like a demon and panther 3 taps rogues at ther speed of light.

I mean, the real problem is not the rogue being weak, is most classes being OP as fuck in comparison, so rogue falls to the lowest point.

Even with rogue being a meme class today, I only play it so I got some methods to run/counterplay/and outplay my problems, but it is frustrating because I can't play in a chill state, I always need to mega try hard to win fights.

The socketing locks the base prices of things like rare ring of courage(dead rolls) to the price of a bis ring of courage(except +1all), minus 2 gems for +true dmg and +max hp, because you can allways get 2 gems yourself and socket a pis one instead of buying bis. And it lowers the price of a blue bis on the top end. There is good and bad stuff that comes with it, i feel like it is bad for noobs, best for the people in the middle that like 1-3k sets and has less impact on really juiced players. With the new MM system, this has a huge impact on min maxing which I think is mostly good, but it still effectively gate keeps the noobs from cheap blue pis, cause it has like ~ +50% cost due to socketing blue for min max..especially rings..

Safe to say the patch backfired hard. sub 25 was my favorite. But I think the real reason for hardcore min maxing is the lack of 225, we had 25-124 before this and it wasnt nearly as bad. These people in the middle wanna bring gear, but they cant cause there is a random chance in HR that a giga juiced 330 ms rogue will oneshot you with the kit youve just build and that totally kills the fun. They force the average players to min max cause kit building isnt fun in HR unless you spend 10k

They can still learn from such fights, getting stomped instantly and getting stomped in a few seconds, one allows room to learn, or even win, the other one doesnt. I have had been in teams of timmies succeeding against experienced players in below 25 back in the day, skill doesnt matter that much in this game outside headshots and the like, most players heavily depend on stats. Most pros are indeed good, but they are a dime a dozen, you wont encounter actual pros. What youll usually encounter is someone using stats as a crutch.

I liked liking the game. its a game at the end of the day, its nice to go in with no risk besides time. even if its an extraction game it used to play a lot more like a BR. Fortnight was a horde game first. the genre doesn't define everything. really i could go earther way but i know that
when the GS system was first introduced it was very mixed opinons but everyone liked 0-24 and no one was asking for it to be removed.
and 2 removing it, of course, doesn't solve the issue. you can still go in with zero kit vs people that have that bis green rolls, saying we did this for the timmies makes no sense. also didn't do it for the Qs.

Anyone actually enjoying the randomized dungeons? I feel they are more novelty and only a band aid fix to counteract spawn rushing. it took me 30 mins in duos to pull 6 for the quest on ruins. If the 5 available wolf spawn rooms aren't enough for you on ruins then go to ice caves. If that's too hard then go farm worms for 7k rusty keys. If that's too hard then go farm the maze/mini boss room in crypts for royal gems which are 3k+ rn. Making money in this game is stupidly easy and takes zero effort.

As long as it meets the dungeon gear score requirements you can keep on using it till you die. If your corpse isn't looted you can sometimes buy lost gear back from the goblin merchant. Also, completing some quests for merchants raises your affinity with them so you can purchase better gear and unlock better squire stuff

0-124 is so annoying beacause: 1. there is no alternative like 0-24 2.IM made so many crazy crafting items that even with gearsquish minmaxing is at its peak now. 3. movespeed meta makes it so that you need boots to even compete on 0-124 MS standards. 4. People start camping and tryharding because they are min maxing or expecting their enemies to min max... Running squire gear is still totally possible but you cant run squire gear and just roam and fight cause people will allways 3rd party and camp which they didnt nearly do as much in 0-24. Well the craziest part is that people are bringing in socketed gear with BiS rolls. Some of the teams I've died to in 124s, I screenshotted their kits, and I looked up on the marketplace how much their items are going for and people are legit bringing in 5K+ gold worth of kits into 124s... Normal people cannot compete with people like this. People who only play 1-2 hours a day aren't going to be able to keep up with the min-maxers which leads to 124s being a seal-clubbing fiesta.

I've been playing since the early playtests. I've beaten people giga-kitted while only having grays. Is it doable? Yes. Is it likely? 99% no. Is it fun to go against?
