Maybe I'm biased, but I think the barb changes are good enough. A lot of the buffs trade off consistent damage and dps for a higher reward for taking the risk of charging forward and trying to chain the kills. What people don't realize is that morale boost only works if you SUCCESSFULLY KILL an enemy. If your teammate takes the kill from range, you don't get that 33% heal. Same with Carnage. It trades consistency for higher risk. I like it. A lot of the issue with hatchet barb is that it's far too consistent with blood exchange + achilles. Axe spec + executioner + iron will + robust makes you consistent. Maybe, with the new perk buffs, people are gonna get greedy and exchange consistency with risk, and it's not exactly a buff but rather a nerf. That, or people will move back to 2hand to take advantage of the new perk buffs while they test the line, and then sneakily drop a -5 movespeed nerf to hatchet next patch while people adjust. I think nerfing the movespeed on hatchet might be a good idea to just drop now, but that's just me. Maybe it's cope, maybe it's believing in sdf's vision.

in case you havent noticed, theres an update! we have done some thorough investigation and found that barbs are not stomping enough people into the ground. henceforth we have decided to buff them because we believe running through everyone should be viable. we look forward to mayyyyyyyyyyyyybe doing this for other classes but prolly not. also the druid doesnt make anymore noise when standing still in chicken form! we balanced cleric to be more of a support class especially in trios! combine rousing rhythms with bless now and 3 pieces of jewelry containing all attributes and you get a whopping +7 to all attributes! now your barbarian loses 10% max hp instead of 20%! and he can still run you down because of his +7 agility and his +7 dex (along with whatever he already has) and his bard giving him allegro and accelerando!

I'm a longsword fighter main and I am going to only play barb and barber after this patch.

I will only use hatchet and I will abuse the desync they don't bother to fix ("not a priority").
I will spawn my hatchet in your head so you cannot parry or block.
I will purposefully try ruin other player's enjoyment of this game to show how ridiculous this decision was, and every one of you should as well.
I would prefer to play longsword fighter and depend on my skill/reflexes but instead now I can hold W and easily kill anyone with Barb, because an already S tier class was buffed for no reason.

This update is the second most tone deaf, ignorant-of-meta decision behind #69. Not to mention they released this update in this middle of the weekend for their largest player base when people can actually play.

Getting 33% health back for a kill is an insane amount when we are talking 200 max hp barbs and blood exchange was already plenty viable with the current hatchet meta with Achilles. i mean didnt they only buff the barb abilities that no one is using? Sure felling axe and hatchet are really strong rn but there is counter play, and barbs can absolutely be kited still. I barely touch the class but i main fighter which feels alot more broken rn
