aha yeah it can feel like that. There's always a guaranteed blue (almost always a weapon) at the top of the pyramid in the ice caverns, so if you're trying to get that done, that's the place to go. it's like, roughly on the northeast side of the map, i think?

It depends on individual merchant affinities. Do their quests to unlock relevant items (armorer for plate, leathersmith for gloves/boots, etc.). At 25 affinity you get everything for that npc in squire, but the starter gear becomes white at 50 and everything becomes white at 75.

losing to warlocks is a skill issue. Get any level of MDR and they are free kills in most cases. Occasional ones will be good at keeping in their prime distance but that is hard to do.

Some QOL and maybe bugs (cant tell if features) that I've noticed so far would be..

1). When someone leaves a team, automatically switching to Duo or Solo. A pain when someone leaves and you are busy for a bit then forget and go into the wrong map.
2). A direct lead from the one above, when you go into the wrong lobby then exit, you are penalized by both your inventory being wiped AND a cooldown. FRUSTRATING
3). A Sell all feature for the collector would be AMAZING!
4). A Feature where you can pre allocate purchase macros and inventory location/layout would be cool for potions, arrows, bolts etc..
5). A New map/ Arena, tiny map size for PVP only where spectators can watch like a colosseum would be dope.

Not sure where else to post this, but some thoughts after about week of gameplay, hope there is some useful thoughts in there and not just repeating what others have thought of already. Also the Rouge is too nerfed now.

Buy pickaxe from woodsman merchant and go to goblin caves, look for goblin mine and mine the blue ores for kobalt. For the red one you have to descend in the crypt/castle looking place and go to one of the corner rooms and look for the red ore. Centaurs and demon berserker can be locked away in a room if you dont want to fight, but they aren't very difficult once you learn to trust that crouching and strafing in their face is actually very effective.

Uncommon=almost no items are worth anything except for a very few select ones and their purpose is just 124 normals
Rare=very cheap usable gear which you can use to build a decent budget kit for HR
Epic=run of the mill HR gear usually a decent kit will consist of epics with rare and legendaries thrown in
Legendaries=most of them are super overpriced and you can get an epic with good rolls for less than a bad roll legendary so they are mostly for high end HR kits with some exceptions like niche gear which can be really really cheap even in this rarity
This does not apply to rings and pendants cause thats a special can of worms

They have diff magic penetration and animations I prefer the spellbook's animation for casting
You can also technically use a magic staff or crystal sword to cast spells but uh they have really bad animations and dont make much sense on warlock

I must be missing something about build design because these market prices still don't make sense to me. A legendary knowledge ring with true magic damage is like 6 times more expensive than one without, but a legendary phoenix choker is only 40-50% more expensive than an epic.

The cheapest rare knowledge ring with true magic is 600 gold. Why would anyone pay this instead of getting a legendary choker and a knowledge ring that doesn't have true magic?

I guess casters want knowledge more than true magic damage. There arent a lot of spells that benefit a whole lot from true magic damage, and players generally have little magic resist so simply stacking will and magic power is plenty of damage, so the cast speed and memory is more valuable than a few extra dmg

Slot matters a lot, and so does supply/demand.

Having a true damage roll is the only way to get it on a ring, whereas all Phoenix chokers have it as a base stat. So getting any Phoenix choker of legendary quality is relatively more likely than the right legendary ring with the relevant true damage stat on it.

Rings are also more in demand and more specific for what the demand is for: it must have the right base stat (often knowledge or will for casters) and the right true damage roll, and you need TWO.

Yeah, that's what I liked about the circle. It gave the entire game that kind of excitement for me. I'm sure there's other builds you can make with different gear like King Floppa said but gear only changes raw stats so the build variety that comes from gear isn't going to be that different. Build variety will mostly come from skills and perks so gear is an incredibly lackluster reward for the game in it's current state.

it depends on the percentage of PDR they have for instance if you had 100% PDR that would equal 1% PDR reduction, however with lower numbers that 1% number differs for instance 1% of 50 PDR would be 0.5 PDR reduction
