when you shoot hitscan if you miss = you die. If you shoot projectile you still can dodge opponents projectile. Hitscan is much more stressfull and put a lot of pressure on your aiming skills, not only land shots constantly, but also do it quicker than others, because in most cases you wouldn't have second chance to shoot. Well I'm talking about high lvl skills, not noobs who spary and pray each others like no tomorrow.

When you really get down to the nitty gritty, you find blues and greens in everything over the course of 10ish inferno runs for probably a full set of your own purples because previously all you had to do was sell to the collector and any good gear to the trade window and buy from the market, no one really earned their gear already anyway, I'd much rather the player economy crash so I can find good shit in a lionshead rather than seeing 1 purple a run and likely being like "Oh yeah some barbarian loser might want that for 600g and I can just buy my own good item"

Tbh the issue with the HR GC layout is to blame more than anything. There is a LOT of PvE to contend with, and the one room thats easily accessible is very vertical and nobody wants to fight there. Classic goblin caves almost always gets more action.

To anyone saying last patch was good, I will explain why you are objectively wrong. Dark and darker is an extraction based game. It literally says "hardcore and unforgiving." Extraction based games have inherent risk and reward in the genre. This patch has removed both of those elements. I am not even going to discuss other problems, but this last patch has made dark and darker into a literal BR where you go in with gray gear and come out fill bis in 1-2 raids. Its fine if you enjoy that style of gameplay, but you have to admit it is LITERALLY BY DEFINITION a bad patch that deteriorated what makes dark and darker what it is. Duping has only proved my point, now that everyone has uniques and shit everyone "endgame" finds the game boring! WOW! When there is nothing to work for game becomes unfun! buff ball is when you have 2 of either bard/wizard/cleric and a frontliner like a barb/fighter or cleric. The goal is to hyper juice one guy with all the buff and let them wreck house. Example, buffing a barb with all the bard spells and then a wizard haste/invising him and he just slams the enemy back line before people realize whats happening.

Pretty fair request is to understand the game is EA and they have honestly been doing a damn good job with patches. Every game breaks with updates. yep its kind of crap to go against but it does have some counters. A cleric with a pre-emptive earthquake can stop a buffball charge if timed right. Ranger with the slow perk can shoot the charging unit if he's not invised in the leg to practically stop them in their tracks.
