This would only benefit extremely new players and only for maybe 5-10 hours of gameplay before reaching level 15. 1-14 lobbies make almost no difference what so ever. And if there is a significant difference and new players spend more time in those lobbies, then they are only learning bad habits and bad gameplay that will be painful to change when they get switched to playing the real game with everyone else.

those "in lobby" people are not all trading they are just about to queue for most of them meaning they count toward player count plus trading is a big part of the game since those players will trade then go into a game all of those people count toward player count as a whole the only thing ill give you is about 400-500 bots at most

@smoky seal Except that EVERYONE was creating 1-14 characters. All of the sweats were giving gear to their 1-14 characters and running on them then resetting to new characters. The people who though it made a difference were only getting a placebo.

@trim ravine There is a learning curve for sure, however I also understand that the last week has been EXTREMELY hard for new/low skill players. Unfairly hard as a result of broken gear. Getting absolutely stomped into the ground repeatedly will not help you learn, however only playing with other new players will only help you learn the very basic mechanics, and some of the PVE. I think that there could be a balance where new accounts have the option of new account lobbies for the first 3-5 hours of gameplay, but after that regular lobbies are the way to go and noob lobbies would just be farmed.

@hollow grotto The imporant thing is the top end of the gear modifiers. Players were stacking so much +damage and +pdr because it was available. Now that those top end pieces are less OP the very top end of the gear spectrum will be much easier to deal with. Not to mention that this will help the economy as these players won't be farming low gear players and constantly draining them of gear and gold. It will make it easier for low gears to get and keep money/gear, while making it harder for high-gear to farm and maintain money/gear. It will also lengthen the progression of gear finding. Since players will once again be concerned with finding the very best rolls, rather than rolls that are close to the best since it didn't matter because of how powerful all of the rolls were.

So why are they buffing gear and nerfing class perks and spells? It's as if they don't want us to play anything but fighters.
At this point I'm not going to bother even using up all of my bard's spell capacity because his songs are not worth the effort of switching to an instrument and playing them when there's nothing else going on. The only f*cking thing Warlocked need tuning on was +magical healing and maybe healing off of the Hydra. Now there's next to no point in taking Eldritch Shield which was already a hard take in the first place. Now using it is going save me a full 15 damage considering the cast cost, it's not worth putting on myself much less an ally.

If anything this patch is making me want to uninstall and go play other games. When is Greed is Good or another clone going to be available once again?

Yes, you can no longer roll any stats on armour that are + additional damage. You can roll them on weapons but they will only go up to a maximum of +1 now. They have actually made gear weaker and more samey than it was before hotfix 14. And anyone who had gear with those stats that have been removed fromt he game, have had the gear re-rolled to the new worthless stats.

I don't think anyone expected it to this extent. They removed all sources of flat damage from the game. + weapon +magic +true +all. Not even nrefed to being +1 at maxiumum like before hotfix 14. But they are just gone, and now all those stats have been forcibly rerolled to being worthless. This was beyond anyone's expectation in terms of gear rebalancing.

I mean its not as good at Bust dmg as A Wizard for example but it also has more acces to Melle weapons and better armor
You still can heal (Heal off any mobs nearby if you have a moment to cast it you can heal Relatively quickly with Life drain)
stuff like the Hydra is still around
All in all also with stuff like The flamewalker
Phantomise (if you wanna run it) hellfire he is more so a Disruptor and somebody that can repeatetly Engage in fights
And as mentioned unless you kill your target in less then 4 seconds you start healing even without any magicl healing (assuming you only cast 1 curse and dont stack it on nearby mobs as well for example)
To Clarifie yes the Nerf might be overkill since they balanced around the old stat distribution but healing is not gone

I have played a Warlock quite a bit
i mean The dagger from Wizard does not seem like a better melle weapon then Falchion or longsword
His armor is "better" as in heavier BUT he can also choose light armor
and people will be slowed bye hydras in doorways or hellfires blocking a path
Yes they can push trought the hellfire but at that point they accept burt damage that frankly speaking is even higher then a Wizards (60 dmg hit baseline)

So wiz gets invis, haste, magic shield spell, and huge base damage spells that have either big splash or high base dmg. The class has utility. The utility on the warlock was a drain close range caster. It’s the literal class. You analogy would make sense if wizards could sit to get their spells back. Genuinely it’s not far from your wizard only having the base spells it comes into the dungeon with and that’s all.
