im mining on fighter in full plate and crossbow/longbow. if you have a good spawn in gc you can mine like 6-8 ingots, depending on enemy spawns and if they want to fight you

also you need map knowledge and some fighting skills, its not worth if you dont know how to get to a mining spot, or if you will just die. also luck is important. if i want to mine i need to have like 100 gold after my first game, then i buy full plate, weapon of choice(longsword for me because dueling is easy if you can parry), longbow, pickaxe and 6 heals, then im mining for the most time avoiding any fights. if you mine every game for as long as you can, then you can craft full rubysilver and cobalt eq and still be under lvl 15

The issue is that for games like this, high populations are critical for long term success. When players feel bad about a death, and SPECIFICALLY feel like they had no chance because of something they can't control (IE the gear gap is so huge, AND it is gear dropped from 15+ lobbies) they are gonna quit, which is a loss for everyone. Yea people say, the wipe is coming why do you care? if you don't like it quit/play something else? it matters because it feels bad and in the end, players play because it is fun not because it feels bad, and this is all horrible because the smaller the game gets, the more this happens and it feeds the cycle of people quitting.

If you truly want the game to succeed, we need to push for changes that still allow for advantages to players who put in the time but not the the extent or degree that the average player feels helpless and hopeless when running into that geared AF player.

Very tanky, has great spells like heals for him and his teammates, can shield people and has insane magic damage and physical damage,right now he and ranger are the strongest classes.
Clerics can also use a fighter gear which gives them up to 85% physical dmg reduction combine it with 5 heals that gives like 30 base hp per heal and you get a tank healer who can buff and shield with insane magic or physical damage depends on who are you fighting.
Oh and can also use holy strike which has great magic dmg and flashes the target for 2 sec

Clerics have one of the slowest movement speeds, use shields, don't have any way to increase their speed, and have slow channels for all their spells. They can disengage, but they need to use stuff like fire bombs and good positioning. I'm not saying clerics aren't strong, I'm saying you got outplayed.

So, i've been playing a bit Cheap and Cheaper (also known as GiG) its huhhhh fair for a free game i guess, the combat feels weird, maybe because there's little to no feedback on hit, i kinda like the sounds though

just like DaD, rangers in GiG makes me want to eat nails for a better experience, there's also two "specialization" of wizard: one pyromancer, one cryomancer, kind of interresting.

Another note is you unlock perks when leveling and not perk slots, Martial class have their own ressources (I.e Fighter's second wind have a 300s cd, not just once before using a campfire), But overall, each class are toe to toe with other (apart from Ranger, who have base triple shot AND trap).

Also, caster have 4 spells ability, no more no less, but all spells are useful

So yhea, for a free copycat, GiG is okay-ish

Barbarian can definitely counter Cleric if they aren't a lobster. If they do have a lot of physical reduction reckless strike can do a lot of damage or a war maul is a good idea. If you don't have those good luck against >50% damage reduction.

Fighters can range me, kite out buffs with sprint

Barbs can be equal, but good ones will toy with you

I thought it would be cool to eventually add something like 3v3 ranking system, kinda like apex has with their arenas where you have the CoD style gearing, but you also get tokens from winning that can be used to buy gear at a special vendor. Also, maybe add where you can try multiple matches in a row and you get more ranking for winning multiple times.

Yeah and dont die. I suggest playing solo goblin cave map if you dont have a team. Fighter is your best bet to learn the basics of the game. Mobs can kill you in 2-3 hits so dont get hit

Goblin Caves you take on 2-3 minnions at a time very often because of the mob density, and you basically get spawn rushed 1/2 games. Crypts takes much longer to run into people.

Honestly GC isnt the best to learn. PvE is a little hard to learn at first. Crypts is a little bit more spacious and you can feel out the NPC patterns a bit better. It doesnt matter if you're dying to other players in grey gear.

Some really good and up to date videos out there on mob behavior and fighting tactics. I'd recommend watching them. And then learning to survive the mobs. Crypts you might get slapped by a 3-man team but a lot less density of mobs/players since the map is more spread out.

Goblin Caves is small, narrow corridors, with lots of mobs in those areas. More challenging but do-able. Really you can pick whichever you prefer. I just don't recommend Ruins (duos map) at ALL for a newbie or learner.

I find you can sneak and hide a little better in Ruins as a solo. But don't expect to fight or you will get stomped by duos.

Solo - GC if you want some PVP action or Ruins if you wanna do some stealthy extractions.

I swear every game I get into on Goblin Caves there are people playing DUOS. These two guys Axmommy and Hotdabs2 I have seen twice now, but this last time they killed a fighter in full blues all good stat blues for fighter. And don't tell me it is luck they joined together or they just became friends in this dungeon at that moment. Because, I watched them both and at the EXACT same time they went in for the attack on the fighter. So they are talking with eachother and more than likely friends in RL.
