That’s a good idea to but I like the idea of them having a physical object that can be pickup up again that is also able to be imbue with elements
like i said the artificer is like a steampunk kind of class so imagining a very dirty/grimey looking guy with a mobile furnace on their back where they create objects out of there and pull them out and use them for deadly force
Kinda like how arrows can be picked up but as a javelin or axe
i suppose a throwing axe with multiple uses, would they be gone forever if they were stuck in a guy but he would never be killed or like thor with his hammer where he can just call it back?

in d&d the sorcerer has a thing called "raw magic" which is a key part of the class sadly not not transferred to the game written as "uncontrolled magic within them, a chaotic storm that manifests in unexpected ways." this could be another way to go about it if your, as you said looking for "straight magic"
but it sounds like that would entail a sort of rng in what spells you cast or maybe or strong/effective is

If Dark and Darker would implement subclasses to the game as there is in d&d I think one way would be having it similar to perks in having a separate page where you can put in different subclasses in a pockets, idk if it would be wise to be able to have more than 1 subclass, but hey if multiclassing were to come back than this might as well be a thing right? It would add a lot of variety
Also if they were to include it on the perks page than I'm imagining it in one of the upper corners and its only section below the perks, also i don't know if some classes have more subclasses than others, i don't think fighter has that many compared to casters due to magic reasons
also they would probably have to remove some perks or skills and combine them in the subclass which as everyone knows, a lot of people don't like change. Maybe Ironmace doesn't want to just copy d&d to its core.

Turn the Dungeon Against Your Enemies: Dynamic Object Ideas
- Hanging Chandeliers – Can be shot at to make them fall and spread fire.
- Cracked Pillars / Walls – Can be broken to create new paths or collapse onto enemies.
- Loose Floorboards – Stepping on them causes them to break, dropping the player into a lower area ( new ship map).
- Rotten Wooden Bridges – Collapse when a player steps on them.
- Oil Lamps / Barrels – Can be knocked over or ignited to spread fire.
- Slime Barrels – Can be destroyed to create slime puddles that slow down enemies.
would the rotten wooden bridges also be destroyed if an arrow/explosive bottle hits it?

Anyway, should Rogue and Panther's Silence be nerfed so that it doesn't remove certain or all activated abilities? Those abilities have cooldowns, which is how you normally counter them, by waiting. With good gear and Silence, you can always W-key someone, removing their defensive abilities and killing them.
I know that right now the problem is that Rogue and Panther can reach players too easily due to invisibility and Panther's mobility, but the devs don’t seem to notice it, so there’s no point in discussing it here.

In the end, when it comes to silence: Devs(@keen onyx @full tulip) either prioritize defensive abilities, forcing aggressors like Rogue and Panther to wait them out if those abilities have already been activated, or they prioritize a W-key playstyle, where Panther and Rogue ignore such abilities and focus on eliminating the other player without fear.
It seems obvious what the best approach is.

It sometimes takes time for people to understand what indyvidual is talking about, especially for the devs who don't speak a word in this channel. This makes conversation with them impossible, causing most of the suggestions to end up in the bin.

As a wizard player i don’t think they should be in the game at all no worse feeling than not being able to anything just because I didn’t keep my ignite up 24/7 i also hate being forced to run ignite just because there COULD be a rogue or Druid in the dungeon but I’m very biased in this case since I am a wizard and get hit by it constantly

Remove True DMG - True DMG will never be balanced, since the faster the weapons or depending on scaling it is always broken. Adding on top that there is SOO much armor penetration in the game at the moment. True DMG ruins the balance.
Remove +ALL from the game. Having 1 single stat that give you EVERYTHING is not balanced. Renders any other trinket without +ALL useless.
Remove +ALL from ability. Same argument. PPL just stack plus all on everything.
VICTORY STRIKE REWORK:
Victory strike should be 15% phys power +15% armor pen for 8 seconds, if you get a kill it grants 25% heal on kill once
Remove the ability to see players names when spectating. We don't need to see a players name's to report them for cheating or teaming. Showing player names while spectating only helps stream snipers.

Some suggested balance changes that would be very impactful at making the game better
- Reduce warlock dark shards limit to 3, each shard giving+1 all attribute and +30% dark magic bonus until a dark spell is used
- Reduce the rogue hide charges back to 1, rogue's playstyle shouldn't shift towards ratting as that makes the game universally unfun
- Rework phantomize : it's always been a free multi-use get out of jail card. Making it need to charge at a campfire after 2 uses or reducing it's duration and increasing it's cooldown would make it a more fair skill.
- reduce damage of bows and crossbows (specifically windlass) across the board, instead buff armor penetration to make for an even damage dispersion between different classes (so a wizard doesn't die to 2 longbow shots but at the same time a fighter can't tank 6_7)
- Reduce the base damage of daggers and rapier ( or demon's glee at least). These fast weapons benefit too much from true damage while not even having a sourspot, their scaling or base damage should be lower to make heavier weapons more viable.
- Nerf or straight up remove true damage. Removing true damage and replacing true damage rolls with additional damage rolls and buffing armor penetration would allow for a much better diversity of playstyles than just stacking true damage and HP and move speed. If not removed at least reduce the limit.
- Fix blocking. Make shields work properly without weapons going through them. Give parry option to more weapons with a block ability.
- fix PDR and MDR curve and move speed rolls so supposedly "light" classes like rogues and wizards can't have both over 150 HP, 40% PDR and over 300 move speed and litterally face tank melee plate fighters.
- Rework weapon mastery : Remove magic weapons from fighter. It's just cringe. Fighter shouldn't be better with demon's glee or bows/windlass crossbow than their own weapons. Give fighter separate perks for melee and ranged mastery and no magic weapons and daggers included.

- reverse the druid rat form gaining 10 HP when using survival instinct. Come on now, rat form should not have any survivability at all.

Actually, her attacks being RNG are bigger problem. She can magic volley you 7 times in a row, dash 3 times and you can't get the damage in.

- Give good amount of luck after killing a boss.

I'm ok with something like that, or allow explosive bottle to burn door and break them in 4-5 sec. But then you need yo add different, more rare type of door and randomize them, like metal door (who don't key or lockpick) who can't break, reinforced wooden door who need more hit to break or an explosive bottle + a couple hit and regular door, with and without head hole
i can agree with this and i can agree the ghost shouldnt be out of reach but they def shouldnt be sitting still or always be in same spot as you said its prob the only hard part once you get the fight down.

like a castillon attack pattern that rewards you if you land the third attack with an extra 30%
Why not but I feel like druid is different than dagger, both need to be really close to the target but you can eventually dodge a dagger hit if you crouch, while panther or bear will hit you anyway, right/left hit or mouth attack have kinda the same hitbox because of the size of panther and bear. I don't see how you can make good variation on the attack pattern of druid form, they're going to be pretty much the same anyway due to the fact that panther are close to the ground and don't have range / don't have a huge range of motion
ye panther has no range that's why their head can go 10 inches inside your body, so they can actually hit you peak design

I don't know about that. I think we have a good balance with the actual Gearscore bracket, the only issues for me is that Crafted gear should give more gearscore so you can't have a full blue crafted kit in sub 224

The only good time was when they released the early access and maybe on steam release. Now people know the game too well and have no mercy for anyone unfortunately. The rookie lobby isn't a bad idea but we need to know how it work more in detail and it need to be tweaked. But overall they've done good progress in making the game less repulsive for new/casual player since it's release

Please review my account again, I was banned for abnormal detection, I didn't use cheating, I guess it was detected because of the loss of damage when attacking the goblins during the game freeze.
They only unban players if they admit to cheating.

I think adding self-guided missiles to the Hydra would be a cool addition, as it currently misses its target about 95% of the time. Right now, it's only useful for dealing damage when teams are boxing (standing still), allowing its slow, straight-moving projectiles to hit.
Of course, such a change would require a nerf to the Hydra’s damage.
On the other hand Hydra is already an amazing tool as offense and defense so no changes might be needed.
rework lightning bolt to be an actual lightning bolt spell.

Not really, it's not because it'll never be balanced that it can't be improved. But yes the game will never be balanced and that's true for most game, there's always gonna be a meta because when you nerf this class then that class become stronger indirectly and people start playing it. But you can reach a point where some class are stronger due to the actual balance of the game without being completely broken, that's what we aim to achieve. And another "solution" could be to rotate which class is the strongest every often, sometime ranged class become stronger, sometime melee, sometime magic etc etc the real balancing is to avoid one of those class to be broken but you can't avoid to have a few class stronger than the other imo

I don't know what they meant by making HR hardcore again. It could be that they remove CMM from HR, or just make the exit open late in the game like before. Maybe also make that the Goblin merchant don't give you all your gear back but only part of it like it used too

Remove Bhop, hot swap, the inertia you keep while jumping (That mean, when you draw you weapon while jumping, chicken panther jump etc), add interaction to open exit, tweak CMM. That would be a good start

Greatly alter continuous dungeon: It should only apply for the first 5 minutes of the first floor and not exist at all on Crypts and Inferno, there should be no lobby migration. Go back to the game where what we did on each floor mattered and we saw the people we left alive in Ruins back later in crypts or inferno. Reds and blues should not open til the last 3 minutes.

Add new spells abilities and talent trees, stop adding new classes for a while and improve the existing ones.

Chill with the power/movespeed/QoL creep on new classes. Classes need to have downsides, druid mobility doesn't fit in the game, neither does warlock unlimited sustain.

Delete the AP system, let people play the game because it's enjoyable rather than forcing them into unnatural and unfun playstyles for rewards. Same goes for arena rewards tbh, just let people get skins and cosmetics with blue shards earnable by playing how you want or via red shards. The game has become so fragmented and the soul of what made it fun is lost by all these chores.

I was thinking about something similar a week ago. I wanted to play solo HR just for fun to kill some people, but at the same time, there’s a leaderboard, and I didn’t want to lose my rank.
All this stuff was not needed in the past, and it drives players toward a more limited set of playstyles. Instead of just playing chill and doing what you feel like these systems give people the idea they should be doing something specific to be efficient rather than have fun. Which in turn makes it feel worse when you fail to progress toward that goal.
is sorcerer not one of the dumbest classes up there with druidsa like wtf instant spells and they can just spam all of them in like 5 secs they have infinite kiting it like wtf
Maybe the AP system should be in Normal, something to guide and push you in learning the game. Like if you want to reach the high rank you'll have to learn how to fight sub boss and boss, how to kill mobs, which module have big chest etc. That way HR is more free like you said, you can still go under 225 if you want to chill or farm and +225 if you want to fight and find people with gear
And I totally agree about Continuous dungeon, but unfortunately they said it is something they had to add to the game for economical reason, CMM reduce server cost drasticly, especially the refill on crypt and inferno at the beginning of the floor. But still it can be improved, imo you've said the good things to do, let new player join the game only for the first 3-4 min of a game and either make door open later or add a mechanism to open the exit manually to every exit, like the bridge in ruins. That way people can stand right to an exit or run to a blue gate as soon as they're in trouble. Probably reduce the max amount of team per map

The blue and red portals opening early is fine. it allows you to descend faster if you're going down or extracting because of quests, bosses etc. instead there should be animations for all static extracts like ruins bridges and reds should have an activation timer before they let you go down
Nobody wants to waste 12 mins in ruins and another 12 in crypts doing nothing just so they can go down to inferno for the boss or quests

How would you guys feel if f 2P players could have a dedicated limited time to run HR? For example maybe they can run over the weekend or maybe during off peak hours of the game to try to fill lobbies a bit more

I just feel like a majority of players fell in love with the game by experiencing the full thing during periods of it being free, I think having more players and improving monetization in store could be more lucrative than an upfront $30’s
I'm not sure about that, it is true that a lot of people tried the game during the playtest when it was free, but they've all bought it when EA released, and with less content that what free player have now. And going full free to play look like a good idea, it work for some game but I don't think it'll for IM. They're quite bad when it come to make good cosmetic and quite slow to create new one, they have so much to do around adding content, new feature, fixing stuff and balancing that they can't afford to put people full time doing skin and cosmetic, potentially battle pass etc to manage a free to play model

What about not losing gear if u die (equipped only), but gear lose durability and u need to repair it on the blacksmith. Also reducing heavily the gear loot chance and making especif mobs or bosses drops especific weapons or pieces of gear. Something like living armor gives longsword and pieces of plate armor. And maybe removing random rolls.

I think you're right. In the dungeon, only one party is left standing while the rest dies, and most of them lose their gear. Since we don't want them to leave the game, they should be able to gear up quickly again.

What if they made a change to portals, where when you open a portal it will close after 30s. You would then have to reopen the portal (ap will count for this once). Red portals would need you to activate a lever opening the red portal gate.(again the gate falls/closes after 30s). This would help stop red portal camping and make portals much less of an "escape".

I'm worried about Circle being added to HR, especially now. There's already so much third-party involvement, and now Circle is going to force everyone into one place. Maybe having more than one Circle would help solve this issue.
Also, Circle closing should be adjusted for people joining in a continuous dungeon, as you don't want them spawning outside the Circle.

I'm glad I didn't remove my negative review of the game the last time they fucked it up mid-season. They do this every fucking few months. It's really pissing me off at this point. Consider my rage baited, though not by you, by SDF.
This season has been amazing, aside from that fuck up, and now they're doing it again. And I am willing to bet they will ONCE AGAIN, fold after a week of reeing from the fanbase. They're incredibly unintelligent it's baffling.
I like idea of circle in HR. Harder mode for better rewards.
People can still play normals if they can't handle a circle. Some of them can't even handle fog of war. 
I really don't. There are classes that don't have ridiculous mobility, and nightmare mobs cannot just be ran past. The circle's removal was one of the best decisions they ever made, and removed so many pointless and unavoidable deaths.

This is an extraction looter, not a battle royale. The last thing anyone should be doing is forced in pvp in a game that actively encourages survivalistic playstyles. These two things are completely at odds, and always were. SDF himself said before he doesn't just want players to automatically engage with each other, and this is the opposite decision from that.
For the record, I'm generally completely opposed to the slow "hardcore"-ifyng of the game. That is the reason WoW, which is cited in this document, is clearly dying. The game is already hardcore, and the more you push in that direction the more you're gonna push a core audience away from the game. You need to recognize you live in a bubble of the most intense players, devs. Even the people talking here are vastly more engaged than anyone remotely normal. They won't say anything if you piss them off, they'll just leave. Streamers, you, and I, are not normal. We're a tiny portion of your population. You cannot cater to sweats, ever. It makes games like these completely unbearable with the most hyper-intense lobbies ever made.
If I find legendaries at every step, sure let's make HR more hardcore
Why? Legendary is literally just a word my guy, all you're advocating is for the legendary market to inflate in cost, so that people can't afford it anymore. The accessibility of gear was exactly the reason patch 68 was loved and 69 enraged everyone, among other things. That's not hardcore, that's annoying.

That would be a better option, if you're advocating ssf only. But realistically, I don't think there's a point.
SSF removes a lot of the purpose of even having loot. No loot means no money means the core reward structure is essentially gone. I don't want to only be running matches where I get... what? 500g? To spend on... resources? You're just offsetting the lootbox mechanic from the chests and piles to the merchants, which devalues the point of dungeons.
Well, the way I see it right now after 3k hours in this game is that the only purpose of going in the dungeon is to find minted items for arena.
I get that that's not your desire, but they're lacking another end game for DaD. What else is there than to build your arena kit and get as high MMR as possible?
So, taking this end game, you can just create the solo self found experience as a process of finding and building your arena kit.
Marauders has the system you're describing, where there's no trading and a lot of crafting, and all that happens there is they have to flatten the nature of all gear to accomodate it, and the few that have gear will dominate so utterly as to be untouchable even with that flattened gear.
I like that there is a game economy. And if that's your take by the way, you might just be done.

The way I play this game I think I'm at about 1.5k hours, but I take breaks for seasons at a time, and I come back to try classes and maps, not to expand upward. I really liked this season specifically because of sorc.
I liked how gems changed up the gear too. It felt like I could more reliably experiment with builds which is a thing I like doing.
The thing is the marketplace has saturated the experience of this game x3 times faster.
There's just plenty of us who have burned out the game, and I know that, I got my money's worth, but you'll get here soon enough as well, this happened mostly because of how easy has become.

Maybe certain bosses should only appear on the map at specific times, forcing players to prepare their gear and enter the dungeon at the right moment to get materials form a boss or complete quests.

Appealing to them isn't smart, but neither is pushing them away. The danger is in catering only to the top 1%, making all the lower content that those 1% have already done harder.
Genuinely try to think back on how your first experiences of the game were. You were probably dealing with players who had no idea what they were doing. By pushing in the direction of more hardcore-ness you deny the players like us the easyness you had it, and therefore push away more than casuals, but turn off people who don't just want to get smacked around who otherwise do have it in them get really invested.
I remember dying repeatedly to the ring, and I'm glad it's gone. HR in particular sometimes just spawned you in wonky places and killed you with it.
I member goblin caves being hyper-dense with monsters too. None of that softening was bad imo.

Trust me, It wasn't easy for us either to go into HR, back then there was barely any info about mobs, you would just fail, go again, fail, go again.
And I think it also depends on the class, I know to play most classes, but I prefer Any class with a longsword just because I can clear the nightmare mobs faster
I also remember seasons that were more scarce in loot being just suffering, even when I was more middlingly competent. Reducing scarcity inherently reduces the feeling of progression, which is dangerous in a game where every match is a gamble of gear.
I prefer the idea of encouraging them to gamble higher with more gear being available than trying to hoard or mitigate that risk.
Also while we're at it, I hate that AP is HR only. If anything, if Arena is to be useful to the game, I think the AP system should be tied to arena victories or something. While I don't want unnatural playstyles in HR to be forced by AP.

If they make Loot 2 times more common than it is right now, you'll get more players in HR. At least from Bossing, but I would change some things about the bosses, they're a bit out of date. Ghost king is easier than Banshee, and it's like the End boss right now, two layers deep
For boss design, I have very mixed feelings. I generally don't like how many of them are designed to be cheap and kill you with things you can't reasonably predict without watching a video on the boss beforehand.
Like troll vs cyclops is a decent example. Troll's roaring and weird random to the head or the feet 50-50 swing shit is essentially countered by cheesing its distances, which is very artificial gameplay. Cyclops is pretty easy, but it's simple matter of learning its swings and actually dodging. I think cyclops is the better boss design.
Ghost king's easy, but the way it jumps in the air always felt wonky to me. Compare to banshee. Banshee first does something funky with her scream, then something else, and that gives you time to consider if you want to be trying to collect souls organically in order to avoid the damage scream that's coming up during her final phase. Ghost king has more bullshit factor, even if he's easier in principle.
What if it were possible to find other NPCs in the dungeon who offer items and services in exchange for dungeon loot or gold?
- A Surgeon could provide medical supplies
- A Fortune Teller could reveal the location of hidden treasures on the map
More NPCs to engage with in the dungeon would be awesome.

I play as a solo on what ever I like most, making HR harder is fine, making it random is where stuff is messed up. Dieing because the random portal spawns and circle are against you is crap.

yep with 3-4 mechanics-ideas , some change to skill, peks and spells already in game and 1 more skill, 9 more perks and 30+ spells, like I said there I don't expect that all these ideas will be add to the game, even for me some probably is better that they remain so but the purpose is to suggest everything possible that can be added to the calss, is like an inspiration for devs and other players and maybe mix more ideas together to create something cool and funny

Rework rogue, combine some perks, remove some. Same with skills, at least add like a throwing dagger skill or sth to make it fun and you can poke more before entering melee. Landmine rogues are a problem because with all the nerfs on rogue it's the only viable way to play.

I wish ironmave would give druids ranger abilities. They really need to buff druid. It;s not enough that they can poison and cutthroat like a rogue. as a druid main, i agree. buff druid. definitely a very skillful class with no outs or advantages.
Druid is so weak right now, all they can do is infinite reset and be better then most classes at mele. Need a rock throwing monkey who needs no ammo or reloading with a laser throw and damage that scales off their dex so not only hit hard but throw like a machine gun. That's what druid needs to not be crap ~

Nobody cares what a dev's vision is if the product becomes consistently worse.
Instead of the fortnite circle, make extractions a timed action, so instead of them opening at a set time you could open them yourself, it'd take about 30 seconds to open and it'd close within 30 seconds if not used, that applies to all extracts that are doors, staircases or portals. It'd scale the opening time with how little time is left as to avoid situations where you have 30 seconds to extract so you start opening an extract and die. This would prevent pvp'ing at extracts and dungeon down stairs because you only have so much time before they close and you can't bail from combat then.

- Ignite's duration changed from 15 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Haste's duration changed from 8 seconds to 6 seconds.
Cleric
- Bless's duration changed from 30 seconds to 8 seconds.
- Divine Strike's duration changed from 20 seconds to 6 seconds.
Sorcerer
Base damage changed instead of scaling.

Make the new HR it's own gamemode with a different queue. That way SDF and the 5% of player who like that are happy and you don't ruin the game for the rest of the player base

well that would be fun but as you said HR is only 5% of the player base and you want to split is even more which is in my opinion not really a good idea even if an ultra HR with many penalties like taking more damages having less health etc seems really hardcore and fun in a way the player base splitting factor should not be overlooked.

We know that 50% of the player play in 0-24. That mean 50% play 25-125 and HR
Firstly I think higher gear scores in normal is an ok thing to do for the people without legendary status, secondly I think trio only is a bad idea from ironmace because not everyone like playing and relying on other people, for example I do not have people I trust to play trios and I generally enjoy solos. And if 50% of the player base play hr it should be fine implementing "super HR" I said what I said previously not knowing the actual figures.

Yes totally. They talked about it in the Taver table podcast and a bit in the hotfix. They plan to improve what you can get in HR so it's worth going there. Imo it could even be a good thing to nerf a bit the loot in normal, like reduce drop rate of troll pelt, thing like that

Not really, some start to spawn around mid game, and end up being in zone pretty soon and pretty far from the safe zone later in the game. Also if it's really like it was before, there is not enough portal for everyone, less portal than player anyway, some people are going to die. And you can be the two last standing team in the last zone, the ennemy team take the portal in the safe zone, every other ennemy took the surrounding portal and you die because there is no portal left

Druid should have a projectile dmg spell(like dark matter bolt) that uses a shape shift count(class has 3shifts that restack 1/5seconds) and it’s a kamikaze bird 🦅. This gives Druid a skill based ranged attack but could also screw them over since it uses a shape shift count

Dungeon Recovery is literally what made HR bearable, and that's gone too? I really don't get what's wrong with these devs. Actually speed-running nobody playing HR. I'm already not touching it at all with Dark Swarm re-added.
So now we're going to randomly die to Dark Swarm and not be able to find portals because they're randomized, and then not get the gear back. Amazingly fun and interactive gameplay there.

I agree completely. Never try to pander to the top 1% of players, it only makes the rest of the game terrible. They should be focusing on more content. Barb is literally a hard counter to all shapeshifter druids. You would know this if you knew anything about the class. They literally have spell slots. They absolutely cannot get away from any sort of dps effect or aoe. And the healers cannot do any of the things you described in the first place.

All druid has to do is to charge barb with panther, then transform into a bear when barb has short range weapon, takes a while to change it to bardiche or something long ranged. Happened to me a lot of times when I played as barb.
Yeah and all a barb has to do is literally hit a bear with a warmaul and it dies because it has its ms reduced to 0 by a huge debuff.
So, the arena change where you can now use any gear basically is about the dumbest thing I've seen implemented into arena. The whole fun for me personally, was playing the regular game mode, to find gear to use in arena that was actually self-found (or crafted). Now there's literally no point in finding gear anymore, cause you can just buy an entire arena kit. I just recently started playing arena and learning how you needed to craft/find your own gear and thought it was an amazing addition to the game loop. Play the normal modes to find gear/$ to get your arena kit. That is now dead with the new system, disappointing...

As a caster warlock there is nothing I can do to 1v1 panther
In normals 1v1 I lose to panther every time, all the panther have to do is to just jump on me and spam attack, To win I would need to have full plate armor with BOC.
With Gear, I can use Flamewalk, but Panther can still ignore it. Panther's damage with gear is on a completely different level, and has silence on top of it.
Casterlock is prime prey for panther. It's not a good match up, and that's how things are. That's a far better position that what he was saying. But just as equally it's important to realize you are just as obnoxious to deal with to any slower melee class.

I really like +all attributes nerf on characters.
But I think Warlock's soul collector could be more polished.
As he can have dark shards 24/7 I think he should be allowed to have only +1 all atrribute in human form when all 4 or 3 shards are gathered providing him 100% magical power bonus towards next dark magic spell.
Him having this 100% additional magical power bonus is very important for some builds to be playable.

Lock the boss room so no other players enter and grieve the one fighting the boss.
Create an option that you can toggle whether or not you want incoming arrows/bolts to go into your inventory. Quality of life change for arena ppl who take alot of gear in inventory

The thing is that sometime i take a look about what is new in the game and i see things like static exits and red stairs and the removal of BR circle, and then i think "maybe?".

Been playing since PT3 and the swarm coming back feels like a major L. Never liked it. Glad it was gone. It just forces unnecessary or unwanted relocation and due to such confined spaces in the dungeon you often get pushed into places you wouldn’t otherwise go. Ie. shit modules, or just being pushed directly into a team. And especially in HR where less then 310 MS means death. I’ve always said there’s a difference between difficulty that requires skill and adaptability. And then difficulty that is just put in place to give you a headache and nothing else. Love this game. And I wanted to see it succeed. The swarm feels very out of place imo.
Also the idea of a trap door you can fall into that insta ports you to the next floor would be cool 🙂

people don't go to specific spots like cyclops or troll or middle room
and i've also found the most common spots people go and the fastest ways to get there
now im stuck with mindless opening of doors and killing goblins, and there's even less gurantee someone's gonna be there
in the past, i checked mid room, cyclops room, goblin mines, troll room, and found usually 2 people per match

Randomization should only affect traps, loot spawns and mobs. Idk random dungeon and FoW don't work well for the game. Makes learning maps a moot point and difficult for new players to learn the game. Learning maps imo is and should be part of the game.
The game was better when they had the map variations that mixed it up a bit but the maps were still cohesive. Fully randomized dungeons create this effect where you're just aimlessly roaming around searching for people instead of planning and going to locations. You also end up with these weird situations where there's just a bunch of halls with dead ends. It's just odd.

They could. I do think the circle and portals should come back to the entire game. They had an integral part of creating pacing and moving players through the map, while also keeping things fresh even when the map wasn't randomized.

I don't know about that. I feel like FoW can be good it's just something new to adapt to. It sure need some improvement tho, for exemple you should get the map of people you kill, maybe increase the discovery range or link it to a stat, like Ressourcefulness or Memory capacity, and most importantly I think it need a special item that you can only found in the dungeon. Like the scrap of a map or a compass who show an exit and the boss room for exemple. You could drop them with a high drop rate on the Skeleton corpse you find on the ground pretty much everywhere or with a lower drop rate on regular Skeleton monster

i deleted the game and didn't play it for a whole year just because the nerfs only focused on melee class and melee weapons, and now with this update the game should be renamed to MAGIC IN THE DUNGEON, druids can't be killed because they don't have colddown time and jump too far, all magic classes get a super strong buff with skills that increase up to +7 magic power and have no negative effects, all melee classes are once again trampled to the ground
And the conclusion is this game is worth deleting rather than playing, no matter how good the game is, if there is a noob development team sitting around thinking about how to walk to the moon, there is no hope for the future of this game
BR circle has to go, it kills the whole vibe of HR... you want random portals fine, but the BR circle is such crap, you got rid of it for a reason @keen onyx please stop with the Helldivers 2 style of management. My friends and I are on the verge of quitting, we are gonna ride out the season, but if stuff like the BR circle sticks around, and changes keep being made that are antithetical to the community's overall sentiment we are out. You made on of the best games around and now your managing it into the ground, please stop trying to cater to the super hardcore and the streamers and listen to your average gamer, set up surveys, give in game rewards for participating, like a little pop up window when you first log in to a character that asks a question and gives gold for anything other than a none response, or a random item, or random hunting loot.

In arena something that could keep a ranger in check was magic damage. That is so low now that trades are always in favor of the ranger.
If you're a melee class and happen to be able to catch a ranger. You have to fear/respect the multishot. Mind you it doesn't matter what your PDR or HP is, you can and most likely will be one shot by it.
(I understand there is baiting etc here overall I think it's too easy for a ranger to pull it off)
I know there are plenty of classes that can be frustrating to fight against. Druid and Rogue come to mind there with the stealth into landmine even against pdr. Or the constant shapeshifts with druid letting them have control over the space. These classes still feel more balanced as being able to counter and at least come back and win.
Ranger is like an uphill battle the whole way. Needing to use some form of gap close to get in close. Hope that during that rush you don't take too many shots to just get killed by the spear. Or if that doesn't kill you the backstep into more damage or multishot.
Shouldn't the game want to balance this more. A PDR character should have more resist to arrows.

Find a way to make the test server viable so that you don't create such a forced dichotomy between your users on the live servers. Delete the current test servers and then just duplicate the live server. Make the duplicate the CURRENT test server so that individuals playing on the test servers aren't experiencing weird bugs that have already been patched out of the current live version.
Once you've done that, USE THE TEST SERVER. Give initiatives to get the test server population up: "First 500 individuals to reach rank /[insert___] will be rewarded with [insert amount of blue shards or insert limited skin/cosmetic/whatever]"
Get players testing your updates before pushing them out to the live servers.

This isn't "more hard core" dieing to random chance like bad spawn or not portals does not difficulty make, just frustration 🤔
Wanna make it more hardcore, make all skeletons nightmare, make timed debuffs that start at certain intervals of time, but this random stuff is for the birds.

Why we should bring b hopping back to the game;
- provided skill expression: almost every class uses b hopping wether it’s to reload a cross bow, cast a spell, heal, or pull out a weapon. It’s a fun mechanic that gives you the ability to outplay people and is in lots of games.
- unintentionally nerfs casters: as stated above all classes uses b hopping in order to keep momentum and achieve certain tasks. However at a high level of gameplay, casters are completely reliant on b hopping. Without b hopping casters have very little counter play against most classes with movement and feel unplayable in solos especially.
- unintentional nerf to crossbows and ranged weapons classes: some classes such as bard, ranger, and rogue use crossbows because they are weaker in close range against classes such as fighters and barbarians. This indirectly nerfs those classes sense they loose the ability to kite and reload indirectly buffing classes like barbarian that don’t have any long range and are usually the class that’s chasing.
- healing while b hopping: this was just another use of b hopping that gave every class in the game more counter play against third parties. In dark and darker there is a huge problem with third parties and being attacked while being low after a fight. Removing b hopping removes your ability to heal while getting ran at and removes some counter play to third parties.
- it’s fun and balanced: we know b hopping was balanced because before this patch every class was strong; fighter, demons glee; barbarian, overall strong; rogue, hide & mosquito; ranger, crossbow & multishot; wizard, insta cast & explosion/fireball animation; cleric, smite/divine protection; bard, overall strong; warlock, torture mastery; Druid, overall strong; sorcerer, one shot spells. This example shows that while b hopping was in the game, every class was doing well (obviously some more than others). However with this new patch, we are indirectly nerfing all these little things.

No, SDF should work on his own gamemode. An harder version of normal was a good thing, now we just have a playground (Normal) and a different gamemode with different rule (High roller)

To clarify his "vision" yes. Even if we can see it by his action and it's not what most people want, some do and it would be sad to lose them that why imo the best solution would be to let SDF make his own gamemode, as hardcore as he want, with the rule he want. But give us back HR
make mobs in HR do double damage and make any attack with swords and daggers do a "wounding" debuff that stacks and makes you bleed HP until you apply a bandage. i think this is how " hardcore" should feel like. make it so mobs literally feel like bosses. hell why not make a test mode where everything deals a lot of dmg to eachother to make it feel immersive. "i got stabbed " so i lost 80% of my hp. or my plate armor saved me from a slash attack so it dealt 0 dmg but a dagger would deal double
i also suggest adding hitboxes to different armors to make it so hitting certain areas might ignore armor

plate armor and some armors should not make u one tappable. im just making it so the armor you wear should decide the dmg multiplier
so if an arrow hits your dome while wearing a leather cap it should negate some dmg. but if it hits your eyes its one tap. at the same time zap should apply more dmg

The new player experience definitely needs some work, since we're losing players often and new ones don't seem to stick around for very long. Removing the fog of war from normals would keep the randomized map feeling interesting, but it would allow for people to farm resources (like wolf pelts) without needing to rely on luck. It would also allow players to practice and farm bosses without needing to play HR all the time, which a new player is not likely to want to do.
Honestly I think new player don't care about fog of war. If they've never seen the map how it used to be before randomised and FoW then it's just different to learn for them not harder. But right now FoW is far from perfect and could definitely be improved for exemple you should get the map of people you kill, maybe increase the discovery range or link it to a stat, like Ressourcefulness or Memory capacity, and most importantly I think it need a special item that you can only found in the dungeon. Like the scrap of a map or a compass who show an exit and the boss room for exemple. You could drop them with a high drop rate on the Skeleton corpse you find on the ground pretty much everywhere or with a lower drop rate on regular Skeleton monster
Having items that can be found in the dungeon to reveal certain rooms would be a huge improvement. And getting the map from someone you kill would also be very good for the game imo. Good idea, hope it gets implemented
But you'r right, there is room from progress regarding new player retention, but FoW isn't the problem imo
My biggest issue is how hard it is to get mob specific drops and boss loot now. If those could be fixed I'd honestly have zero problem recommending this game to people

Hey if they find some way to improve herb gathering in the random dungeons, that'd be amazing. Would make finding those mobs way more valuable. Ideally they'd also add some way for us to find modules like Wolf Den and such more easily too

The worst is that they know what they need to do, they said it word for word "We need to use the test server, and improve it to incentivize people using it" the issues is that right after that they said "But we won't do it, we'll keep pushing big update without testing them on live server, but promise that now we'll communicate more and react faster", Result? Absolutely. Incentivizing players with the test servers would be WAY better than crashing the market with religion

Honestly 90% of the issues would be solved with this suggestion. Improve test server -> Incentivize people using it -> Every month or so, gather feedback and ask what people want to see next with suggestion picked between what they want to do and some trending suggestion on the website

This is mostly a gut instict more than anything, but I feel like since a large portion of the playerbase doesn't seem to care, the vast majority of the test server population would be the people who care the most about game balance, and would thus provide WAY higher quality feedback

I think extracting with keys is vital for the loop. As stated earlier games are currently too short to find both boss rooms, kill them, and then find the treasure room, loot/mine and extract. With keys you have a choice, farm the key and go for treasure room next time or take the keys in and go for treasure room. Even if you cant do it all in one go because someone looted treasure room before you (if you somehow found all 3 rooms and killed both bosses) you arent screwed you can just take them out and run it again. Sure people will sell the keys, but tbh it gives people who cant boss a viable option for gold farming because the keys will have to be less than gold prices anyway to be viable for purchase.
Best case scenario the keys are the same for all 4 bosses (banshee/troll/cyclops/spectral knight) so the keys are universal and you can bring them into either dungeon... There's no real negative there either because the boss specific drops will still be valuable and people can make money farming what they are able to farm, keys will be cheap and give the broader player base a chance at gold farming. Only downside is gold may be cheaper because itll be more accessible.
The current Rusted Old Key is currently useless besides maintaining a mutually agreed price for holding currency, take the drop off SC and make that key the universal gold ore room key and you need 2 to open the doors.
1 there s no skill expression in binding scroll wheel to jump and it was unfair for people who had less fps , your pc shouldn t be the reason you die in my opinion.
2 if all classes uses b hop and all classes can t b hop anymore then nobody can take advantage or not wheter you are a caster or not
3 you should be penalized for healing if you have low action speed as it should be on fighter for example , one of the few things that fighter doesn t have is action speed so if you manage to catch a fighter off guard drinking a potion you should be rewarded
4 yes it was fun but not balanced really for the 1 reason and it was hard for new players to adapt to the game in my opinion
P.S. third parties situation is much better now in my opinion, way less people in one dungeon makes the game fells playable althought player are the very reason for third parties and you can t do nothing about it really
I personally think that certain classes like Wizard for example need some kind of micro-movement spells or skills to make up for the lack of bhopping since those classes rely on it so much more than melee classes. Ranger's got backstep and Rogue has tumbling (wooo tumbling!), and I personally like how those abilities feel on those classes specifically. I don't think Wizard should have something equally as powerful exactly, but something that'll help replace what bhopping did for it.
Maybe something like letting haste buff jump height? Maybe? Idk. I do think removing bhopping from the game was the right call though.

Honestly no, they just need to balance some of the hidden stat linked to caster like reduce how much you're slowed when you cast a spell right now you move at 65% of your move speed. Make it 70 or 75%. Or reduce the slow when you equip or put away your weapon. And probably buff a bit Slow make it last a bit longer or something
I like this idea but it look a bit too easy, maybe you need to interact with your teammate to share your map? Or you all need to sit at a campfire or close to each other?

For HR, make the circle show where the blues are spawning but get rid of the zone hurting you if your outside it. So you can have more time to do stuff but still have the risk of not finding portals if you don't go into the circle. I believe this would help the HR "hardcore" wants but just makes it so you actually have time to do other stuff.

There is basically no difference between Divine Strike and Bloodstained Blade in terms of damage boost but Bloodstained Blade has insane health drawbacks.

I think bloodstained blade should give magic weapon damage instead of physical weapon dmg since warlock tends to build magic dmg and there could be a perk or rework immortal lament to less the negative effects of curses so a support warlock build could be viable
I'm not talking about duration of Divine Strike, as I think current changes to this spell are dumb and unnecessary. I'm talking about another aspect of balance that this game lacks.

Limit the amount of pots that can be brought into dungeons. People are bringing godly amounts of heals to kite and draw out pvp fight as long as possible. Limit the amount of pots/bandages that can be brought into dungeons to prevent this from happening, people would play the game a bit differently knowing they don't have endless healing.

random map sux, there is no pvp cuz i dont find anyone, i played first game yesterday after the update and i got so bored so i just let the mob kill me and turned of the game.
Be patient, at some point people will start to follow the rule "If you want to fight come middle room". It might even make it easier to find PvP than before because people used to split between the 2 boss room and middle. Just spread the word that if you want to fight, go middle.

Random maps and fow in general are the best changes to the game since the removal of the circle (wait a sec). But they need to flesh them out more. Implement ways to lift the fog, share map between teammembers, team pings on the shared map, hints that point you to points of interest like bosses, that you can find in the dungeon. In general more points of interest that doesn't just cater to bossfarmers. Maybe some kind of arena, where you can sacrifice the soul hearts of slain players to unlock a treasure room as a poi for pvp enjoyers. And also more interesting things to find in the dungeon to encourage exploring. Bring in random events like roaming bosses, loot goblin, occult rituals that might net you good loot, expressman and gobbo merchant apearing in random modules, and so on. BR circle is not the way imo for an extraction game. And I fear our small player base can't really sustain an additional br game mode.

I would prefer "a bull in a china shop" content. Some boss or sub boss that activates frozen mobs by accident.
I thought about something more universal, like slain mobs having a chance to drop a tattered map or a one-use oracle ball, that uncovers a random poi on the map. This would encourage actually killing mobs and not just skipping them, while also drawing players to those points. The 'find room x' quests could then be tailored to match those modules, making those quests work flawlessly with the random dungeon fog o war system. But more decorative statues or things that additionaly point to specific poi like the mentioned arena or the boss room would be a huge improvement to the flair of the game.
Sounds really funny. I think the game could really use some more interactive and dynamic pve elements. It's no wonder that experienced players only find joy in pvp and new bosses for a while. Standard pve hasn't improved in the game since Playtest. Learn there pattern and your good. Same rooms always have same mobs, backpaddeling or cheesing often does the trick anyway ...
if they want pve to be a part of the game that is interesting to players, they have to make sure that it's dynamic enough to sustain this interest even after hours of playing it.
More elemental variant of pve would be nice.

Maybe pve doesn't is a chore for you, it certainly isn't for me. With my 1000 hours in I still enjoy slaying mobs. Every parry reposte with ls, every mob slain without taking damage gives me a little bit of joy. But I know that this is jot the case for everyone. If you watch streamers with thousands of hours in, they almost always skip through modules, avoiding as many pve as possible just to get pvp action. Pve in this game has a lot more potential than just be a hindrance on your way to pvp farmed bis kits.
Alot of things could be changed about the game if they were different based on the party size.

Yeah they need to get rid of the scream and replace it anything idk how about once he screams, if you get caught he does a hard bash on the ground and if you don't move out of the way that bash slows you down, he doesn't do that attack that's either a jump or a crouch

Just spitballing again:
I feel like the problem also lies in the discouraging rewards. If you kill players youre almost garantied to get high value items. To net the same reward you would need to kill hundreds and thousands of mobs and minobosses. Maybe we need more consistency in pve rewards. Maybe much more craftable items on all gearlevels craftable out of monster loot that drops with a considerable chance. Not like bis gear, but better than your average stuff with little additional effects. I'm talking about goblin armors, mummyrot weapons, bonestaffs, demonweapons ... basically every type of mob should have there own set of armor and weaponry, that buffs specific playstyles.
As a cherry on top: make them not tradeble, so you can either spare your time and buy kits on the marketplace or actually deal with the pve and craft yourself kits that are a little bit stronger for the same gearscore.
I don't know I just really like the idea of having much more craftable items and them being much easier to craft in exchange for them being character bound. (The lootdrops ofc would need to be charscterbound aswell)

i really like the specific weapons that come from these enemies, but if they have side effects than they would either need to rare or maybe make it so they only last the match that they are found in

Bull In A China Shop Content With Frozen Enemies
In an ice-themed map, frozen mobs remain inactive until they are struck, causing them to unfreeze. A charging-type boss or sub-boss with area-of-effect attacks could unintentionally awaken them during battle, rapidly escalating the encounter.

Exactly but most people don't even think that far, they're stuck at "buff this, nerf that, remove this" while with a bit of imagination you can think of cool feature that solve their issues. I've been making most of the suggestions you've just made for month now, most of the time people react like @elfin onyx "That would be awesome". They really need to focus on Point of interest, it would benefit both PvP and PvE, solve a lot of issues, improve a lot of other mechanism

I don't even know what they have in mind with the return of the circle and this wierd separation between hr and normals. Like I'm fine with pressing the game more into a pvp enforcing direction. That's there choice. But we experienced over multiple seasons that a br circle just doesn't sit well with an extraction game. If only the fittest survive and gobbo doesn't work anymore, who can afford to actually die over and over again with no returns. I don't think we have the people to support multiple different gamemodes. And IM already struggles to develop one game mode. Than there's arena on top. It's not that HR is unplayable right now, but I just don't get what's the big picture behind this rollback and how it will be a good base to build upon in the long run.
There are so many good suggestion floating around with creative and fitting solutions for the big problems of the game. And yet they surprise us with the return of the circle instead of improving in the direction they made such great improvements to. Like random dungeons, fow, continuous improving quest design, increased dropchamces, quick opening downportals ... these where all very stable improvements to before. They just have to work out the kinks and implement more content. The direction was very solid ... now they kinda screwed that over again ...
this patch is crazy good. but please fix solo wizard he is unplayable in all situations including trios sometimes
they're not very bright and it seems they think they're being innovative. Unfortunately the right ppl are glazing them over this patch and it's not helping (some streamers etc) they are gonna lose half their playerbase soon. The last of the loyal guys are playing out their patience right now and I'm hearing it in vc's...... sad
