No rank and skill, that's not what I'm talking about at all. I'm talking about the option for newbies to try HR content. To gather in HR, you need to sprinkle gold about a thousand, and you only go to 225GS+ with zero attributes, and overgeard players with sets for 10k+ just kill everybody by stats, what skill are we talking about. My suggestion is exactly that people who want to learn HR and learn how to clean first stay in their sablobbies. They will still die a lot and will only rise in ranks when they start to get good at something. At least they won't be killed in the first room by 400+, 600+ GS killers of entire lobbies.

Only partially. The question of knowing the game is still in no way resolved. A conditional neophyte who has just started to go to HR and gain rank in the dungeon, will not be able to compete with a person who has already pumped his skills in HR. A highly ranked player knows how to clean most rooms, where and how to abuse mobs. I think that newcomers need a little more space to learn.

Team killers shouldn't be punished as cheaters. First friendly fire is a game mechanic and a RPG feature. Second you can punish them but with the same logic of RPG Worlds not by Admin Rights. Imagine if the Dungeon Master kicks me out of the game because i murder one of my Teammates.
Agreed 100%. I enjoy Druid alot but there is almost 0 gear progression for a caster druid. All you can do is stack vigor and agility.
Honestly first time on this discord in a month, haven't played in awhile due to 0 scaling. I want to play Druid healer but there is no progression; just kinda boring running dungeons as a druid because I'll never find any treasure that improves my healing.
Druid also needs more offensive spells that scale so we can make use of the perks that buff spellcasting and play a traditional D&D caster druid if we wish.
TLDR: I don't want to play feral druid, give druid more offensive spells and heal scaling.
- Remove gear score and level requirements in HR. Forcing me to play normals when I can easily do HR feels bad
- Limit Normals to 124 gearscore max. This forces all juicers into HR and solves the issue with people not bringing in gear to HR.
Add a Low Roller for newer plays to learn. Make it a 3x3 map thats PVE only and drops no to very little loot. Newer players can learn the PVE without getting stomped and Normal and HR lobbies will have more players willing to PVP. As much I love stomping timmies it isnt healthy for the game. If we want more players we need better onboarding for new players
Too much segregation for the lobbies then. The solution isn't additional lobbies and segregation.
By making it give you no loot theres literally no incetive to run that mode. Only a tiny population of new or bad players would play there. Removing those players from the other pools would barely have an effect on the game

the 24 or less normal lobbies are perfect for new players- can learn the pve while also being on equal footing gear wise with everyone else.
Ice caverns is notorious for being very pve heavy, ppl actually farm out demigod rank in Ice caverns because its very easy to avoid pvp. that map might be better to learn on if you are scared of running into ppl
Learning PVE mechanics helps to improve basic PVP mechanics. Of course people arent going to learn PVP without actually doing it but so many players try to learn the game and get discouraged by sweats. I would agree with you if it werent for players going under 25 and actively hunting newbies

Ironmace i know you hardly check the chat at all but here is my suggestion on the gearscore sytem and what you should do with it. I have played since the second playtest so before i start getting shit from the little juicers in here I know how to play the game. The gear score brackets are a good idea especially for new players i had alot of friends join the game recently. Gear score brackets shoule be brought back but with some changes. Normals lobbies: 0-24, 25-124, 124-224 caps at 224 anything higher goes to high roller incentivizing high roller for more high level play . High roller lobbies: 150 gold any gearscore for people who want to zero to hero but makes it more challenging making there be a skill gap and more planning knowing what you are getting into High risk high reward. Making normals better for the newer players and experienced players playing and bringing more good fun pvp fights to each other.

Just loaded into a game with 248gs max on my team, there was 2 entire squads just under 400gs and one squad with a 500gs wizard

What server are you playing on and what time is it for you? They've said that on non peak hour you could be matched with people with more or less GS. Again let them time to adjust it only have been a few hour.
Also the game have season, that last like 3 month on top of that. The game is in Early I know it can be frustrating to lose a kit to a bug or a update but you'll have plenty of time to grind again and use your stuff and gold

The idea behind this new system is good, they try to match you with people who have the same gear level. If they can't do that fast enough then they extend the range of GS etc etc. Maybe they should give you the option to wait as long as you want if you want to be matched only with people with similar gearscore or things like that but again that might be what they're going to do, the update was only a few hour ago. Give them time, suggest thing don't just ask for it to be removed and fire the guy who got the idea that's not very smart
Imo what could have been done is : reduce the map rotation timer to like 1 minute. Everyone who want to play the current map join the queue and when the 1 min are done the game look at how many player have clicked on ready, create as many lobby as needed and randomly split people/group in those lobby.
That would allow to prevent pre teaming more easily and have a large pool of player (as you can choose between all the player who have joined within one min, nit just few sec) to create balanced lobby. 1 min max of waiting seems fair and even if you miss your map you only have 3 min to wait for it to come back. Imo people prefer balanced lobby over fast matchmaking

Suggestion: An easier way to add players you've met in matchmaking to friends list or just re-queue in general.
This new matchmaking system is a ton of fun as it's faster than going to the gathering hall and requires less discussion about what parties people are look for. I would like to be able to add players after a game, like how the Karma system works. I've mostly played DnD solo but duo's and trio's can be more fun if only the social aspects were better! I've met a couple folks I doubt I'll ever meet again because I didn't know their account name.

Whether someone coordinates over discord or as soon as they spawn over voip doesn't make a difference when it is this rampant in every match. I don't understand why they don't just disable VOIP in solos and actually punish it. Suggestion: disable voip in solos; ban teamers in all circumstances.
We need taxes on large fortunes. Players stacking gold and gear are a problem for the whole economy and experience of the game. Rare items have less value if i can buy anything i want all runs.

I don’t think you can view a player’s account name when looking at the “last game players” section. However, I recognize I’m on steam and may not know my way to it if there is a different section. I believe, as far as I am aware, the player’s account name is needed to add them so their character’s name doesn’t help, which is what is shown in that tab.

It doesn't even help with that because players will just wait for the timer, in fact if you queue up just before the map rotates nobody will even be able to queue up and you'll have to wait 3 minutes for no reason just to play in an empty lobby
It's a flawed system that barely helped when player count was low, and now it's just a useless feature that wastes everybody's time
Well my idea would fix that (click on the link I send). If you reduce map rotation timer and create lobby/start game for everyone at the same time at the end of those 1 minute then even if you joined in the last 5 sec you'll be matched with people who have joined in the beginning of the timer. I'm not sure if i've been clear, english is not my first language

Merchants should have limited Stock and Gold with a week restock cooldown. And Dungeons should have progressively less loot if there is overexplotation in a specific map, the map recovers with the time (more natural map rotation).
Have you even read what I said? If you simply remove map rotation with the actual system we'll end up with empty lobby every game and/or the people you'll face will have huge gearscore difference. We can't remove map rotation, but we can make it shorter and more efficient

Getting rid of matchmaking lobbies is a step in the right direction, it's one loading screen we no longer have to sit through. Now they just have to get rid of the rotation and the game's massive downtime will be diminished
Right now we are waiting 6 minutes for rotation, 3 minutes in an empty lobby, plus 1 minute of load times. Which doesn't sound bad until you've done it a hundred times
Even worse when you have a quest to kill something in the inferno/abyss, add another 10 minutes of camping an extraction and you've got 20 minutes of downtime before you can even attempt to finish the quest
Yeah but without prelobby (the tavern) and only 1 minute rotation time we won't wait that much and they could use that 1 minute to gather a large pool of player to make more full, balanced lobby and splitting people more efficiently to avoid pre teaming

I still generally think HR doesn't really work the way they have it. The HR grind is fundamentally at odds with what they want HR to be - a place where you go in with your best gear and risk it. I'd much rather it was one or the other, but if you remove the HR grind it becomes incredibly obvious HR doesn't have much to offer because the cost of entry is too high.

The matchmaking might be very different depending on the time, day and region you'r playing. Unfortunately some region have way different experience than EU or US server

Just unlucky. At one point I had more Warlord kills than any other boss because my group at the time only knew how to kill Lich and Warlord and we kept getting unlucky never finding lich

You guys are working so hard developing the game that you aren't getting enough time playing it at all skill levels to balance properly. I know someone wanted to wait until arena for balance, changes, but my god it's been so bad this entire wipe.
At the start of wipe we had an entire month of cleric + druid being disgusting. Near the end of that time and a little passed it, rogue got crazy buffs and was disgusting and nerfed 2 weeks later. Warlock was the next problem and that had to be nerfed as well.
Then we had 1 week of peace before this barb/wizard meta that happened because of unnecessary buffs.
Or you could buff all the classes to be on par with wiz/barb rn instead of nerfing them

So...splash damage from fireball kills a one health teammate who played the fight horribly. We go back to tavern, and I can't queue for 320 seconds because he decided to hit the report button after dying to splash and misplaying horribly. According to the announcment that time continues to get longer the more people report you for teamkilling. Now as a Wizard, if I keep getting randoms that walk into the fireball, or die to something like splash (already at one hp), then I just continue to get punished more and more? I understand that systems will be abused when they are meant to do good but there needs to be an appeal system.

Terrible takes. There's never going to be a meta you like until your special class is the one on top. And there's never going to be perfect balance between the classes because they have different strengths.
This is the best state the game has ever been in and they should be focusing on increasing the content, not balancing it, imo. More druid features. Sorcerer. Wands. Wizard rework. Etc.

SDF stated in his interview with Jay that he no longer has time to compete in HR and therefore doesn't know the true meta or balance at higher levels. He also stated that they don't have a true balance team and need to work on that.
The only questionable part of my opinion is that I think they should prioritize it more.
The game was in a better state before the wiz/barb buffs at geared level of play. Wizard has been weak without gear for a long time, and this fixed that, but made it stupid with gear.

Make 'Normals' the Timmy lobby. Max GS in normals set to 124. No brackets.
Make 'High Roller' where the more experienced people go. Make it cost 250g to join, have no gear score or level requirements and grant the highest rank you've achieved in the season. If someone gets demigod, then grant them the reward even if they de-rank. No brackets
I feel like that would be horrible for a huge part of the playerbase, every people who want to play better than green gear but don't have the skill or time to farm/buy decent kit would just get stomp as they'll end up in the same lobby than the people who are or try to reach demi god. I think there is things to try with this New matchmaking system, I don't see any good in simply removing stuff like bracket or map rotation timer. We already tried that in the past and it's not that easy

It used to be white quality items max in normals and it was completely fine. Everyone with gear was forced into HR and this was fine because you very rarely ran into a juicer in HR. The sheer amount of people playing hr with meh gear drowned out all the juicers
could we suggest a movement like for example a teleport that you hold to pick a distance then charge and then teleport to your destination kinda like reaper from overwatch but with less verticality as double jump suffices in that aspect
soul hearts should be able to be looted like anything else in the game, its your teams responsibility to fight for your soul heart man….if not its stolen for extra AP gains (in HRs, being more prevalent PvP) and in norms for meds/basic green rewards from the collector
have a keybind in stash to allow automatic stacking of items, if items are stackable…pots/knives

Well we still have the 24 gs bracket in normal (and even the 124 for now) and we definitely didn't have the same HR experience. Every HR game I do there is at least one, most of the time 2-3 people with around 400 to 500 gs rushing everyone on the lobby. This new matchmaking system should fix/help about that as it'll try to put you with people who have close gearscore
Also, before bed I want to complain about not getting my Aragorn ranger fantasy. Tired of rangers in games being bows bows bows bows, when the most iconic ranger of all time had more kills with a longsword than anything else.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but it would be great to have daily and weekly quests along with story chapters in Dark and Darker. Dailies give basic, useful items, weeklies maybe give a rare item and maybe the last weekly challenge gives skins. As for the story chapters, I would love to know more about the lore of Dark and Darker. We have a "missing daughter" questline, tavern master's got a dark secret, armourer used to be an adventurer like us, but the took an....nvm. Anyhow, give us storytimes Ironmace!

Its a way to pressure people into playing your game for dailies when they would otherwise not, it leads to burn out and associating the game with work instead of fun. Remove void behind player spawn in death pit on ice abyss. Its a strange game mechanic to load in and back away from mobs to fall to your death and for that to be how you learn. The mechanic here is learn by dying instantly after spawn and its a bad one. I totally think dying to the void is fine with jumping obstacles or areas not right behind player spawn but this is absurd. I love that the game is unforgiving but this just isnt fun at all.

Revival in random queues needs way more incentive, someone who doesnt care will just not res even if they are next to a shrine and after you wasted half of the dungeon clearing and going out of your way to res them. Could be worded better but you get what I mean

-Somewhere you can load into for a private matchup to spar/duel with stock enemies and dummies to damage test, build test and more. Similar to sort of what Warframe has with their Simulacrum room. But obviously more, stylized for this.
(Personally I think Warhammer Darktide's training room is more fitting)
Ice Caverns/abyss
FROSTBITE IS TOO STRONG
lowering the debuff's potency or even it's ability to triple apply has killed my team dozens of times purely because they cannot physically run away fast enough, weapons stowed and all
For Abyss:
Not enough exits. Functionallu there's only 8 people who can leave abyss. This causes team in fighting in anything above Duo's and is negative to the impact of an otherwise awesome map
That being said it was also brought up Rope escapes are the functionally worst escape route.
You can die when using them, they take forever to actually use as an escape, and their one time uses. A few ideas we had:
-Make them come back after 2-3minutes.
Similar to statues giving them the ability to be somewhat played around to make them much more viable for allowing teams to full escapes
-Damage while on ropes
When you get on a rope you are unable to do anything against whatever may try to cause you home on the way out, the snow and hail falling in, or even archers trying to take you out before you get away, intense situations like at the ends of a map match where you didn't have time to clear the room and you're just trying to get away, not being able to secure yourself and get away safely except by pure luck is not great to have to worry about
Multi person use:
Similar to the situation above, my teammate and I were left for the choice between him and I to escape using the last rope in the level, however we both ended up using it at the same time and the animation played on our screen as if we were both on the rope, our trio who is spectating said that neither of us were on the road and instead we were both at the base, but on our screens we were rising towards the top, unfortunately we did not extract because time ran out and killed us at 10 seconds, which is a little bit ridiculous because even with the bugs and the cave collapse on Galvin caves, you still get those 10 seconds to escape whereas in the ice maps you do not, maybe this needs a change or maybe the timer extended in a way

For F***KS sake please remove putting quest rewards in your in your inventory. Nothing makes you want to quit for the night like losing legendary rewards queuing into what you thought was under 25 with no heals or any gear

how can a green and blue wizard stacking nothing BIS fck over a 190 hp barbarian with Iron will with 3 fckcing zaps. IRONMACE I love you but cmon this class is way too overtuned. If you dont wanna nerf it fine BUFF gear with some Magic resist then. balance the dam field abit.
Training area : That's planned. Not sure how it will be probably only dummy and pvp no training on monster.
Frostbite : It is indeed a strong debuff but imo it's not a bad thing. Goblin have the poison, Ice skeleton have frostbite, maybe 2 stack would be enough tho. (And maybe add a equivalent to crypt monster?)
For Abyss : There is less exit on purpose as Abyss was think to be a place where player will help each other fighting the Wyvern. When the wyvern die an exit that everyone can take and have Infinite use appear. But unfortunately people are too PvP focused and can't manage to help each other for specific objective like the wyvern leading in abyss having less exit than Hell
Rope : agree that they should come back, and maybe go up a little faster

I often use the "None of have the space or time to fight so let's get out together." Statement to try and avoid pvp but people are just having more incentive to player hunt than play PvE.
Nothing wrong with it, it's a PvPvE game so. It is annoying though that doing stuff like that is maliciously screwing people over for loot you won't even take home.
Rope: I don't think that's a big ask honestly. Either letting them return, move faster, and even (and idk if this was. A glitch) if your team coordinated to ALL grab on at the same time you can all pull out

hey guys, im gonna get straight to my point, its really annoying to look for one specific boss of the 3 crypts bosses it would be really nice if there was a mechanic to show before match who is in the boss room (like a small note that says lich or warlord or ghost king whatever will be spawning) , because you have to play 12:30 to even be able to peek in the boss room and then there is a 1/3 propability that it was all for nothing, my trio has been trying to kill the lich but out of 12 runs we only saw him once, this feels really unsatisfying for the player base, at least thats what i feel and also heard from my fellow gamers
I wonder if rogue would be in a better spot if hide was nerfed but their MAX move speed was buffed to say ~340 Ms, that way they would be less dependent on invis to do things that other classes don't do better, because at current theres little reason to play rogue without hide

They have basically reduced the number of teamkillers to only accidents at this point. There is no incentive to team kill at all. No reason to make further changes

They plan to add a place where you can speak with other player, bring gear to try on dummy and even do PvP fight against the other player in the lobby (without losing your gear). But I don't think a place to spawn and test PvE is planned, imo it's hard but it's part of the game to learn the hard way

Make it to where Caltrops don't disappear. Hunting traps don't disappear over time, why should Caltrops?
People always wonder what happens if you run all magical healing or max armor pen etc. But don't have the gold to spend to do it. A test map would solve this with unlimited access to any roll item you want to test your build on dummies, mobs, etc. This would improve the fun experience for people who want to try something new, instead of throwing budget kits together, rather than allowing you to see what works with your price range in a test/practice map

The fact you can get Demigod without needing to fight a single person is crazy stupid lol...especially for a game that touts being difficult. HR is a joke and too easy to do anything in it. Just seems crazy everyone can get the season rewards for not doing anything except killing mobs for a week straight.

@dawn grotto Please prioritize fixing the "ESP lag" that everyone has. Its ridiculously dumb that its the meta way of finding enemies. You dont hear them, you detect them with your spider senses 1.5 rooms away, they detect you, and its this weird standoff of free knowledge or someone isnt looking in the right direction and gets snuck up on. This REALLY needs to go. It should be literally the number 1 priority to get rid of this bug ASAP.

An idea for tackling cheats like aimbots and ESP, etc. How about adding a system that tracks mouse movements to spot unnatural patterns? For instance, if the game detects movements that are too precise and sudden, it could temporarily disable the player’s ability to deal damage or interact with the game world.
When the system identifies suspicious mouse activity, it would restrict the player’s damage and interactions (such as doors or chest) if the player’s movements normalize during that time, the restrictions would be lifted after 10 seconds This approach could help address cheating more effectively instead of having to rely on reports to be manually reviewed.
Of course, you'd have to code this very carefully as not to have the system false flag players who are extremely accurate or advanced in their movements, but certain elements such as tracking through walls and 100% cross hair precision (never leaving a player target) for extended periods of time or through triggers (walls etc) could easily split the difference of skill and script.

I see a lot of people complaining about unfair duels all the time and asking for a matchmaking where all players have same gear and i hate that. I should be always able to luckily kill a full geared guy and enjoy the dopamine of it. But as the game is right now unfair fights from gear disparity are very common. If players building the perfect character wasn't this frequent, people complaining about this situations wouldn't exist.
That is why i think buying a full build should be less accessible.
To incentive them to always farm gear. Not going into the dungeon full pvp > press W > take all fights against other players > kill 2 teams > die by the third > go back to lobby > buy all gear > dive again.
There is not cooldown for that gameplay because is too easy to build. And there is no cooldown for other less geared teams to be fckd.
IM is working on it for sure if they tried it already, im sure they already have a couple solutions but why say now? do what makes you happy in the dungeons and dont worry about it, just get the loot when you can, fight when you can and kill when you can, but there are the cheats/teammers/gear diff just make the best of it

Is too difficult to adjust all stats and find the perfect numbers, i think is even impossible. This game had all to be easy to balance because is not competitive oriented and the randomness of encounters derived from all the unpredictable elements like classes, perks, item, armor, spawns, mobs and more enables the devs to have unbalanced scenarios without big troubles. But instead of work to improve the variety of scenarios they tried to balance and made game more monotonous.
Can ranger traps please be removed or reworked? How can something so broken and unbalanced still be in the game untouched for so long?
@crude hill youre correct, but thats why we have these wipes to see what works and doesnt…it is very hard to say what can be assured to work or be assured to work to an extent. Your feelings now will only be lived until the end of this wipe. Then a whole new one starts which is very exciting. And with that it can be a completely new game, and with the anger/frustration/fury the community has they need to take that into account. Next wipe we get to find more stuff to argue about ::)

Bro i have seen that before, it wont work. And my thought and the solutions i propose now are mostly the same as they were back in the last playtest when they introduced one of their worst poisons to the game, solo/duo matchmaking. Quoting Sdf, they want to go back to only trio matchmaking because that is how the game was designed to be played but they are too afraid of players anger.

There will be someone that will disagree with you because they don't want numeric disadvantages, what is reasonable for many games but it shouldn't be the case of dark and darker, the chances to find a trio/solo/duo should be de same for the three of them, having at least 1/3 to have the advantage.

They can use arena to solve one of the biggest problems in the game, the player that only wants to pvp. But i don't have hopes, it will probably bring more complains and balance problems.

It would be nice if the Wendigo Claws and Demon Dog Thorns stacked as well, although the Demon Dog Thorns appear to be large enough that it makes sense, much like the Centaur Tails.

Ive never been 100% remove rat until now, within 20 seconds on goblin I was rushed out of nowhere heard one squeek and in 2 seconds I was at 5%hp fighting a bear and the mummy I was on. -30minutes of ap farming and a 2k kit with literally nothing I could do to fight back or anticipate the attack
dont allow spiders to move you on stairs.. whenever im opening door on stairs, spiders cancel the door opening

It's bad enough chasing or getting chased by a druid with rat to bear to rat combo 30 times a minute. They also chicken panther jump and you can never get away.
I literally just had an 8 minute fight against a druid where all he did was rat bear and would not let me be. I tried chasing him for like 2 minutes but gave up. Then anytime I tried to disengage he would panther chicken jump close to me then bear+rat.
It's so toxic because I can't kill him nor can I get away. I'm stuck in a perpetual fight. THIS ISN'T FUN.
Druid forms NEED an internal cool down before letting you get back into a form you've recently been in. Like 10 seconds or something. Force druid to make actual decisions over what they should do instead of just spam
Nerf weapon mastery fighters. It’s so dumb playing solos and all you see are rondel buckler fighters with survival bows and 70% PDR. It’s no brain all they do is run at you while holding left mouse.
What about marking bow not 100% precise. Like wii sports resort one. A circle of precision that becomes smaller the tighter the bow.
Then make Ranger have smaller circle than fighters.
Also make bows cancel the shoot if they were hit.
Also if the shoot canceled is mostly charged it shoots anyways but with the bigger precisión circle posible.
And of course this is a nerf

Ok people want a Necromancer class, we probably won't get a dedicated one but a viable subclass for either Wizard or Warlock would be cool.
Wizard would make sense unless they give him more utility to become a true toolbox caster.
If Warlock got it he would have 4 viable variants:
Caster
Melee
Demon
Necromancer.
All they would need to do is give Warlock 1 or 2 new skills for it or maybe just some new spells and perks to facilitate it and allow natural hybrids.
In the new matchmaking system, they actively abuse the preliminary group, people know each other before the lobby, they abuse the AP and kill other players and they do it very easily, in high role there is no matchmaking by rank
Common grade capes from squire that don’t change GS to teach people some basics of building into specs would be fun for -25
Update Squire in the following ways:
- Sort all items by slot automatically. All chest items should be together without having to filter as an example
- Add Lantern and Pickaxe to Squire
- Make Bandage and Potion of Healing be stacks of 3 instead of 2

i hope arena is like apex arena with the point system you start with a certain amount of points to pick your loadout first match you pick standard gear next match depending on if you win or loose or how many kills you got you received extra points the next match genuinely gives you extra points though to pick better gear for your loadout but with dark and darker with the stats on gear given how broken it would be to have that in arena the devs should take stats off for arena and just give you gray white green blue purple gold with out any stats on so if arena is a point system as you gain more points you would upgrade gear potions weapons and matches i don't see why they couldn't do matches have more rounds to go against another team you win the matches you win the game you get a reward

Change ranked system. Points for enter so high value, if you loose one time, you need to have 2-3 greate farming game with escape a tons of treasures for compensates 1 death. It's too unfair, and this is a PAID mode. Feels so bad

panther druid is actually unplayable unless you have 3000apm you can have max max health and still just get 2 tapped like atleast makeit so you get 3 tapped by grey gear players i mean come on
panther isnt meant for you to just take a trade fight in. you go in get your silence off and then either turn human/bear depending on the spacing or just completely disengage. the whole point is trading HP for insane movement potential.

Not sure anyone but devs care to give druid anything more. They can already change forms to often and take only fights they want and when they want them. 25 shapeshifts in a minute or less is dumb already.

Any chance summon & hunting trap kills could count as the player's? They could be displayed as the spell/weapon type in the kill feed, like how every other spell or weapon kill shows up there. It would look like Player1 Killed Player2 (Treant/Hydra/Hunting Trap). These sources of damage are actively created/placed purposefully by the player, it's not as if you're just body blocking someone and getting them killed by a dungeon mob or environmental hazard. If one player creates a damage source that kills another player, whether by spell or something physically placed in the dungeon like a hunting trap, it should count as their kill. This would fix all the issues associated with players getting kills with said sources not counting towards quests, XP, AP etc. It feels bad summoning a treant/hydra and killing a player or creature, and then it not counting for anything because they got the last hit. Having to either kill your own summon or stop attacking something preemptively to prevent the problem is annoying at best and unintuitive at worst (especially for newer players).
I would love to see some type of bloodied/injured system. When an opponent reaches a certain hp threshold, maybe a flat amount or a percentage, they show some blood and/or grunt when low HP. Especially now that you can't inspect people's gear, I think this would be really useful and informative. EDIT: I posted this to the official suggesion website. Please upvote my suggestion "njured/Bloody System to give players a sense of opponent's health" if you agree

Make druid a crowd control class. Reduce damage on bear and raise hp. Give cc spells more capacity. Remove scaling from heals. Remove the ability for rats to jump through doors.
I don't agree with removing scaling on heals. By all means druids could be a crowd control class, but that doesn't mean it should be the only way to play it. Animal forms should also have higher base damage and less scaling so you get a better average and less top heavy scailing abuse.
However crowd control as a whole should have some scailing.
healing on druid was fine before this patch. When I played druid I could get up to full health so fast. And the weak cc options made them feel useless. I also one tapped so many people with bear I lost count.

The thing is with scaling, whether you do healing, cc or damage better depends on your build and gear. So you could play full heals and light cc or the otherway around.

This does nothing to stop rats and prevents players from bringing in weapon swaps if they want. Remove this change and come up with a smarter way to deal with it.

HR was never meant to be a pve farming mode, regardless of if they add rewards to playing the mode. The AP system has really modified how the game is being played, in reverse, where everyone is either pvping in norms, or ratting on Hr to try to scoop bis gear from the people still trying to play the game how it was meant to be played, from a design perspective years ago.
If you’re a rat you’re not engaging in the game in a healthy way and ironmace has told you this multiple times, they’ve tried adding a gear score and dropping the ante, and people want to bring in cheap purples to avoid it. So ironmace said no, no you’re not going to do that. With this change.
Then force people to engage in content by making it harder to avoid mobs. Make the mobs have a larger patrol or let mobs respawn after a minute or two.

Yes I think so. A Warlock riposte with magic damage would be devastating
The current gear that optimizes into it isn't very good for anything but a full magic damage commitment, which means survive-ability would drop for it compared to other kits, even with plate in mind. MWD could be excluded from the riposte damage conversion and just applied as a standard hit.
Really wish the Quest System gets some type of rework. Been trying to do the "Visit Blood Platforms" and "Visit Waiting Room" in inferno for the longest time now and I keep getting the Inferno map that doesn't have the modules I NEED. Its getting to the point I just exit to lobby if I don't get the right map. Doesn't matter what loot I get. I'm only trying to grind quests.

A Leather bag that's made with a low drop rate % item + 4 average drop rate % items. That low drop rate requires you to learn a whole ass boss, so throw in the cost of however many kits it takes you to learn to start farming. I'd say that's an asset. I'd even say I prefer storage devices being the usual trading equiv because it's foundationally useful and isn't wasting space.
If you're at the point where multiple chests are taking too much space in your stash, you're at the point where you can condense that loot into either BIS items for resale, SK's or good roll Artifacts.
i just think its boring game design that every time i hit 40k i have to buy a new kit to save space or fill another half stash with bags

Use a Lore-Compatible "Dream" Service (Shaman Merchant or Lobby Option) To Practice Bosses/Mobs
A shaman/sorcerer merchant can drug you up to relive a fight from the past - a dream battle sandbox.
Dreams of different bosses and mobs will unlock after encountering them. By using the service (or free option), you will be able to have a mock battle against a boss or mob you want to practice so that you are prepared for it the next time you enter the dungeon. The dream boss will not drop anything other than experience.
This will make approaching bosses and difficult mobs a LOT easier for new players and is lore-compatible.
Even for an experienced player like myself, this makes the bosses WAY more approachable compared to wasting 30+ minutes to attempt it a single time and dying with everything you've looted for that 30 minutes. (knowing it will probably take 10+ tries to get consistent, it turns into 5+ hours of not having much fun which leads to deciding it's not worth the time).

Limited gold storage was intentional. You had one stash page and people where creating mules so they created a myriad of ways to store and circumvent that. Buying pages, character shared transfer, etc. Like the old school event trinkets, the community decided they needed a way to like you said asset store gold in the form of rare items. Keys. They’ve also decided to do that with bags and chests because they’re rare items as they’re tied to bosses. And if you’re thinking logistically, a chest and a bag save a ton of storage space. 20 slots for a bag? 200 for a chest.
The balancing is certainly a problem, it’s been a problem for two years I’m not arguing on that. And wizard needed a nerf, but not on overload, they needed a scaling nerf because they’re impossible to build against, or fire ball splash, or a ton of other things.
Storage is already functionally infinite with the shared stash
And let's not act like any storage choices they made were thought out for game design, just the individual stashes alone showed they used hardly any brain power
Rare items are rare, more ways to store gold at high end play. Simple as that. I’m just saying it’s what gives them perceived value.

Ironmace, please make nightmare skeleton axe's second attack a bit easy to dodge by ducking to the right.
Ironmace should implement fractional physical power scaling depending on the handedness of the weapon (one-handed vs two-handed) and the speed of the weapon. Weapons like the Double axe and Warmaul have high damage output, but are extremely slow. Conversely, weapons like the Rondel dagger and Rapier start with medium damage and can easily rival the heavier weapons in terms of DPS (damage per second.) These one handed weapons allow the user to be more maneuverable in terms of both action speed and move speed, and thus should have fractional physical power scaling.
Instead of scaling 100% per physical damage bonus percentage, different weapons should have closer to 75% or 50% scaling.
Physical damage bonus is a % based increase and doesn't benefit fast weapons more than slow ones. Could make the case about added damage I guess, but otherwise its not right.

Warmaul can swing once while the rondel can swing around 2-3 times.
Blue warmaul does base 56 damage, with a theoretical 20% PPB, that would be 67.2 over 1 hit
Blue rondel does base 24, with a theoretical 20%, that would be 28.8 per 1 hit, but over 3 hits, that's 86.4 damage.
The more times you swing with a weapon, the more the physical power bonus is taken into account.
20% PPB increases your dps by 20% in both cases, you're making a logical error
difference in swing count is only relevant for flat added damage
However, quicker weapons on average will take advantage of it more, it's easier to land multiple hits on a quicker weapon than a slow one
IMO on the higher end physical power bonus and armor penetration is the culprit of some imbalance
I will rarely see anybody take a halberd or bardiche outside of having one-shot builds, if you cannot kill someone with one hit with a two handed weapon, you're at a major disadvantage against a one handed weapon other than range

Devs are clueless balance wise. They need to have the balance team be a mix between people who aren't skilled and people who are skilled and have people who actually play a ton.

Or simplify the spawn location of Reverser Pyramid, it's not normal that players in neighboring rooms can get to us by killing 1 mob, and we will have to deal with skeleton archers, axemen and these imbalanced spiders, the enemies always have an advantage over us

the better option would be to manually set a maximum party ping limiter in the settings menu.

The game has 3 maps, some are closed and tight, some are more open. There are solos, duos and trios.
You also have gear or naked lobbies, items heavily impact how good your class is.
The game also has a bunch of different classes and perks.
It will NEVER be balanced, it is impossible to balance a game with all these different variables.
The game isn’t supposed to be balanced, the devs always said they want a rock paper scissors system.
They follow DnD a lot, and DnD isn’t balanced.
Ofc we can ask for tuning , but I don’t believe any class beats every class, it is a rock paper scissor system.

We need account wide Affinity for the vendors. It feels terrible to have to quest on multiple classes just to get access to basic Squire gear that you need/want. So if you level up the vendors on one class, it should affect any class that create.

Having no gear score brackets in HR is dumb. Gear should be about making builds and having build diversity. Not so you can just be 100x stronger in every dimension than your competition. Might as well play against people with hacks, it's a horrible design that needs to be changed.

Add a cloth type glove that provides 3/5/7/9/11/13/15 Agi and 1/1/1/1/2/2/2 Armor Rating for Druid, Wizard and Cleric (Make up for the panther multiplier reduction for druid, buff for wizard/cleric).
In a match of fair fight (Identical gear score fights), druid are basically useless at GS <120, then powerful at 120-225, hyper busted at 225-500 and then starts to become useless again at BiS >500 ranges against a 85% PDR fighter.
This changes allows all shapeshift forms to behaves the same as druid are at GS of 124 across the entire gear range (Or 40 Att). (Battle Shapeshifts no longer considered throwing at <25gs, No longer useless if the gear isn't BiS, but also not as insanely broken as currently is at the sweet spot of 225-500gs (Low-Mid end HR range). A little bits of Armor Pen allows Druid to not get steamrolled by 85% PDR fighters at the 500+ range.)
Make the instant shapeshift perk Basekit, however with the following debuff:
For every shapeshifts, gives +24 fatigue. Depletes at the rate of 4/s (16/s if resting).
Druid base shapeshift time governed by this formula:
0.0625 + (x/80)^2 sec
That leads to the first 3 shapeshift being near instant, then the 4th would takes 0.62s, 5th takes 1.39s, 6th takes 2.66s, 7th takes 4.55s, until 8th shapeshift caps out at 7.2s. (Exact cooldown will be lower)
Prevent shapeshift spam but without making it very limiting.

Hr needs gear brackets. Otherwise it's a pointless mode for anyone other than no lifers. There's no gameplay going against someone 500-600 gear score higher than you. Which means the only mode is normals but then what do you do with the stuff you get out? An I supposed to save up from 200 normal runs and then buy one god kit that I haven't had practice in so I can go loose it and start all over again? It's a bad gameplay loop.
There's no reason when I have 0 AP that I'm fighting people every game that have 700-900 gear score.

Loaded into an HR trio with 2 red names, they get me hit to 1hp by mobs they aggroed then got mad when I was waiting for heal shrine instead of wasting heals- once I caught up to them, since they just left me, one guy just flamed me for taking so long to catch up then TKed me for saying they are why I got hit and had to wait lol

For the majority of time the colored names have just been farmed for looks, if your going to make it affect matchmaking (without us knowing that it will) you either have to reset the names or not have them affect matchmaking.
100% would need to be told to players beforehand and have a reset I agree, maybe even a hidden value for TKers that isnt the red name that puts them in their own queue- with some way to earn out of it or something.

I think fighter needs a rework full plate shouldn't be able to outrun anyone and how does it make sense that a fighter with no magical ability can self heal themselves 40% of health. Honestly think take the speed away and health regen and give them an ability that increases damage reduction for a part of time while active or and maybe a special attack like a empowered attack

No it'll never lead to anything, even people saying "nerf this" or "buff that" is useless imo. People should come with suggestion if they want thing to change. First it shouldn't be "free" in any case I think 5 to 10k gold to unlock one more slot with a maximum of 2 Additional slot is good
Second, I'm still convinced that they gave too much to free player too fast (Gear in normal, limited acces to Marketplace...). Imo they either need to revert thing before giving new privilege too f2p player because I feel like they're is not enough things that really push people to buy the game. Imo they couldn't have done thing like "F2P have limited access to quest, they can only do the 2-3 first pack of quest"

From what my friend told me yesterday, he can’t access the market on a free account. So perhaps 10k is a bit too pricey considering you can’t use market
Also I think seasonal rewards are a big deal, and f2p accounts also don’t have access to that
Imo the best Solution would be to keep them at one character slot to remain the worth of legendary status but instead right at character creation you could click on 'test out' rather than 'create', which creates a new fresh character for a single run that gets deleted right after you die or extract.
That way free players could test out every class extensively, but would still be limited to one char to make actual progress with, which would be the optimal balance I think.
This is also a good idea, although I would argue that perks make a lot of a class. Trying a class with only 1 perk doesn’t really showcase the character.
Wouldn't be a problem to make this test chars as lvl 15 chars by default I think.
But honestly I dont see having one perk as such a big problem for that matter. You also dont have any gear so most builds dont work anyway. It's not to test out a class at it's full potential but rather get a idea of how it works and what its capable of. But it would be fine for me either way

And yes 10k fell high but season last for 3 month and you don't have a lot of place to spend you money anyway so imo you can get it quite fast (I even think it shouldn't be wiped). I think free to play is a good model.
The game has skins and cosmetics that you can choose to spend your money in, and people have money and are willing to spend it.
But if there is a free to play option, make sure the players are experiencing the game, and not just 50% of the game.
Yeah, at the end of the wipe it’s easy to have money, but free to play accounts don’t have 2 full tabs of money to spend I reckon
I just think , either have free to play with most of the game available and let people experience it.

His friends spawned rushed us the same time he went to "split up to get more AP" Why is there no reporting capability after the match? I cant record or send in anything in game. I get one report for KARMA. I cant even post his name on here. What are devs doing to stop people from Gear Baiting in this LFG discord. It happens every other game i find seems like. Let me keep all my gear I bring into arena. I buy all my kits off the marketplace because I never find an entire BIS loadout on one toon. This system currently stated for arena would likely have most people just running squire gear. Or wasting tons of stash space to hold kits for different builds on that class. exploiters are going to exploit regardless, this hurts the regular players.

Only thins is it should be account wide like the new squire system, or else the game becomes too grindy, and players can't experiment and practice with more classes because they are limited to the looter/creator. Great system, please make it account wide. PLEASE keep your idea of account wide affinity for all vendors in ALL ways, crafting too. It will make ALL gear cheaper and lower gear fear in reg and HR while allowing cafters to keep bis and sell the rest or use the rest for norms an HR. You could use family name on crafted and loved items having the family name be the account name like "Greg 2chains" that way for arena all items around by the 2chains family will be able to be taken in amd not lost by any 2chains

Its not remotely fun. It removes any point in playing the last few days. Some people already had that mentality but certainly not all. I was enjoying the game and practicing fresh wipe strats for the grind to come. Now its pointless with the multi classing. the point of early access is taking feedback from players. if they are introducing multi class again is probably because there should be something different from last time, if not they wouldn't do it. if you buy an early access don't complain devs testing things.

I get this is a salty community, and i think most of can acknowledge how epic these devs are. they left a triple A company to follow their dream, got sued, won, and never stopped bringing us the game; even when they had to bit torrent it to us. they listen to our feedback, let us be salty and rage, don't hold us back in game (letting us voip opponents), and they patch or fix almost weekly. to the sleepless devs, especially @keen onyx @dawn grotto Thank you guys so much for this epic work in progress. i would encourage everyone else to share the love toward these amazing devs, they deserve it!

I think it would be a good idea if the player count on Crypts is low to add a fee to skip ruins for the players who might not like the ruins map
Pros:
- Maybe more players in 2nd layer of ruins not sure of this personally
- Gold sink depending on the price of the fee (Obviously should also be limited to maybe a few times a day)
- Player liberty to chose what to play
- Increase in hell since I doubt most players will have enough motivation to do 3 runs to get to hell
- Maybe less geared Timmy killers since the players who are competent and want gear would skip Ruins to get to other players with much better loot
Cons:
- Would make ruins player base lower in higher geared lobbies
- Late wipe could really decrease the player base motivation to do ruins
Other then that i still haven't fully thought of more cons.
Misc.
- Would keep the hell materials and boss loot prices similar to older wipes (Excluding the dupe prices of current season)

i just wanted to come by and suggest a more visually aiding artwork for items that belong to your allys, i dont want to have to hover over items and check for ally, so my suggestion is that you add a colored outline or something of that nature. some cool blue outlines would look dope

RELIGION: perhaps have a competition/end of season, rewards.
For example having challenges such as “most escapes” or “most boss kills” And which ever players belonging to the religions that hold those titles will receive extra end of season rewards
ARENA: perhaps you can introduce a bit of a horde mode with two teams of 3 working together too fight off waves of AI and bosses
I feel like to balance multiclass they have to have "tiers" for each perk/skill/spell/etc, like tiers 1-4 and you have have some combination of those assigned to multiclass, always adding up to 4. So a Tier 2 Warlock/Tier 2 Fighter might have access to BoC as a lower tier skill, but not phantomize or demon as a higher tier skill. Example for warlock to just show what I'm talking about:
Tier 1: Spell Memory, Antimagic, Demon Armor, Blow of Corruption
Tier 2: Phantomize, Torture Mastery
Tier 3: Demon
Tier 4: Spell Memory 2, Dark Offering, etc
These are garbage assignments I thought about for less than it took to write them down, but basically you get access to more basic stuff at the earlier tiers. So you could do like Tier 3 one class and Tier 1 of another, or Tier 1 of four classes, etc.
Numbers are arbitrary, just that you shouldn't be able to multiclass and cherry pick the most powerful stuff from each class.

I think a ANY Queue for a 4th map that also rotates by default should be allowed where solos, duos and trios can all play without caring, also can I say the old dungeon design from playtesting was really good it literally felt arcanic which was perfect for how dungeons are.

I think that the season that end early and start a bit after the wipe is meant to try new stuff before the wipe (like they're doing on test server) and correct issues before the wipe and have a bit of time after wipe to correct the problem coming with the new content
Again, Multiclassing is here only for a week. If you really don't have fun at all then yes take a break from the game and come back Spetember 6th for the wipe
but again if the wipe is next week that means the gold coin bag on the third reward section can only be used for 1 week and curently that one week is what most of the playerbase is hating

i am a spell caster user and im actually enjoying being able to balance the warlock who got nerfed to garabge for no reason
but then again i am as low a skill lvl you can be while still being able to escape the dungeons

Multiclass breaks all aspects of balancing. Multiclass is a flavor that is only good for so long, before everyone grows tired and began to optimize everything. We had this issue last wipe, and things were nerfed due to being able to place them anywhere. And still have not received changes to revert them to how they were before. Hell, caltrops is still beyond useless.
I understand it is end of wipe. I understand it is one last hurrah before the next wipe. However, people sometimes prefer consistency, and multiclass is the death of consistency and class identity. A simple fix is not possible without destroying the perk for the original class
this version all they have to do is actually think about how to implement it without allowing nukes and unkillables

This is kinda a non-answer as anything can be balanced to not make pvp shit. You might be a casual gamer, one who doesn't take it seriously. You aren't great at pvp, and have admitted to not wanting to get better.
Any balancing can make things better, or worse. However, to balance multiclassing would be a massive undertaking. There is many ways to do it, but it would be best to never attempt to balance it and maybe keep it exclusively an end wipe event. We would have to go through multiple wipes to balance it, which it would be better used to create content and better QoL aspects.

I see where you're going with this, and I personally believe it would still lead to issues. You can get a bonus 11 extra damage on top of a rapier with only passive perks. You could lower that to just 11 extra damage, but then we have buffs to worry about. A warlock with a rapier who also has spells to buff himself can lead to a lot of damage.
Only way it'd work in the short term is perk bans. Ban the most powerful perks and abilities from classes and label them as core aspects of it. Only issue, is that it can still lead to broken combos. Only way this would be balanced is not allow abilities, and only let perks be shared with diminished results. Jokester only giving +1 instead of 2, Sprint having one less stack, etc.
you can also get that bonus damage with higher tier gear but aside from that its easier to balance just passives then all the abilities
i have a full concept of the game you see it as just pvp and it isnt just pvp

To be fair to Facade, the end game for this type of game is trivializing all PvE enemies, including bosses, PvP, and build crafting

Even playing casually, the PvE aspect will be mastered excluding the bosses. High level players enjoy this game for the PvP and the thrill of getting a named weapon. Or the social interaction, which can be there.

Like right now I haven't played much of the multiclassing and I have no doubt that there will be good and bad things to come. I read some of the conversation above about the pvp and such. My main focus above everything right now is that they need to introduce more GS Brackets
I was at 197 just now and got instantly killed by a survival bow. When looking at my killer they were at 598 gear score with only their equipped gear and a few surgery kits. That is insane. I'm not about PVP but I understand it is necassary sometimes. However, wtf was I supposed to do there. I was in Greens and a couple blues fighting people in maxed out Gear.
I feel like that is a big reason of why <25 is such a hostile unforgiving place besides the no risk no lose gear situation. Because as soon as their gear passes that 125 you get curb stomped. So why do that when you can just win fights against newbies or people just trying to quest in <25?
Plus the amount of people that play this game without VOIP at all when it is such a unique part of the game is insane. Like as far as I am concerned it is a huge part of the experience. I haven't met many characters that have been toxic as much as the silent people. People who have it turned off and just mindlessly kill people. Again, I understand that some people come for PvP. That is fine. It's just painful. to get 2 shot by a survival bow the one time I try and go medium gear. I can't match that. I just wanted to try and fight a boss. And I got spawn rushed. The balancing across the board needs to be tweaked and it may never be right but as for the gear score brackets this is getting rough
If the bracket restrictions are because of low population at those numbers then there is a problem but I will confidently tell you that just mashing low and high together will not play out well in the long run.
I played a game called Starsiege: Deadzone in its early Alpha/Beta phases. The game was an extraction shooter that becuase of low population became a case of 3 people that could just run around in the best gear and kill newer people that were actually new. People would pop into the discord and ask about it. It was punishing and it sank a large part of the game in my opinion.
That game is abandoned rn. I don't mean to insult or belittle the devs in anyway

On a note about multiclassing. I have not played sub 25 since multiclassing came out again. Nor did I play the game till after multiclassing was gone. I picked up the game shortly after it came available on steam again. So everything stated above has nothing to do with multiclassing though I have no doubt that it doesn't help with the higher level balancing. It would make total sense. I like the idea of it though. But it def needs to be balanced a good bit.

I know I don't mean to chop up the community a lot. That is something I recognize but the way weapons add gear score makes it really hard to want to do anything when a green weapon means I have to deal with a full legendary wizard with a temper tantrum and the bloodlust of a barbarian

124 gearscore may be more your speed then. sub 25 is fun, but 124 allows for variety without getting stomped all the time

My biggest thing with the Bracket argument is mainly this: You've got a safe bracket of 25-124 and that's great. However. If you want to explore this cool blue piece you got that puts you at 140. I should not be put in a lobby with a 600 Gear Score Player that is the point I am trying to make. Because the people that play that way are far more into PVP and that's fine. But I won't survive long enough to see those silly little mistakes. Have some modesty. I like questing and PVEing a lot more. So I tend to avoid PvP most of the time. So I was running a mostly green luck build. However I had a blue amulet and a blue sword. That's all that wasn't Green I think. I think just saying essentially "Skill issue" is bad taste. Especially since I am tried to make it clear that there was a problem but I am not the end all be all of solutions. It's just something that bothered me and I just wanted to see it considered.
