It's just problematic because we have solo, duo, trio. Then you split those into 3 different queues depending on gear quality and now you have 9 different queues rather than 6, mind you most play in highroller anyway. Then you have the karma system, which will then make it harder to get the randoms for the queue you are looking for depending on gear and which you are looking for, duo or trio. IMO, it's just a lot of matchmaking systems that would have to work together, work well, and you need a playerbase to facilitate it.

But at the end of the day, in an ideal world, maybe splitting the gear once more makes sense for queues. I just don't know if it is realistic, especially since IM is already looking at queue times, full lobbies, and so on. If it is already a problem, this seems likely to only exacerbate it.
In terms of games that mimic the core aspects of the game: PvEvP, gear system, gear-gap, skill-gap, MMR system, etc. it's pretty close if you think about it.
Tarkov, and Showdown don't really equate that well because they don't have powerful gear systems, and much higher TTK.
(Mainly talking in terms of balancing the game using LoL as an example of balance in another gear-system game with counter classes)
I have an idea for arena, tho idk if anyone has said this before: what if arena was tournament style where solos or teams face against another team, the better you do, the better gear you get. You can enter in white gear vs white gear or bis vs bis. But you have to pay to enter, you can’t just get free loot right?
Since this multiclass system is going to be implemented and locked behind level 100, there needs to be matchmaking that will seperate the sub level 100s from the no lifers like myself who play everyday. I can already for see absolute chaose and a drop off of player baee if this is not implemented quickly because there is no way they will be able to compete against certain builds (in hr lobbies if)
As an avid Hunt player, over 2k hours, I'd say it is closer than League, which I have also played a lot of. TTK's are similar, depending on what weapons are brought and gear difference between players in DaD. Butttttt, there is a lot of differentiation too. Idk that I would compare them without this exact conversation. You get a lot of gear gap and such in hunt but only at player choice, as the economy is mainly there so you don't run the crazy good stuff every round. There just isn't a game that I can accurately compare DaD to, so to do so is an injustice in it's own right.

- Mate. You swing. You hit. Enemy can't block you with anything but shield or highly limited set of weapons. Mobility and damage output are kings. You are CONSTANTLY checked if you have better move speed and if you have more damage per swing, than the enemy does. This is stat checking. No dodges, blocks, no parries or feints for all classes and weapons, extremely limited and slow swings. And, yes, I agree that more seasoned player will use all those "parkour" (if you even can call it as such in this game), doors, throwables and all other garbage he can find in his inventory. Yet even the most seasoned player will be simply outmatched at some point and overpowered. Your skills and "foor work" means NOTHING before someone who runs at you at MK5 with huge axe while throwing smaller axes. Your skill means NOTHING when you step into a trap and deleted with purple bow. Your skill means NOTHING when you simply step onto geared rogue (Hello landmine meta! You aren't missed.). There is influence of skill. Mostly it is simply stat check.
I wonder how impactful multi-classing is going to be.
My main point was that any gear game with PvP is cursed to eternal imbalances, you'll always run into people with more gear, or less. My argument was against Gear based matchmaking since it kills the whole point of the game, and one of the very things that drew everyone in in the first place. — He called me a thug for thinking this way.

I don't mind gear restriction in the way that they are now, but I wouldn't want much more restrictions than what we have.
But I do wish it went up to green quality for normals. Just to allow for majority of items found in normals to be used in normals.

Again, this depends on matchup, fighter vs Barbarian will be much more stat-checky than other matchups. — This is likey the MOST stat-check matchup in the game, however, you still have crossbow and throwables, if you outplay them on that end, you can still win on either side, even with significantly lower gear. — Of course, if they COMPLETELY outgear you, don't fight, simple as that. — Traps: learn to expect certain locations to have traps, always check. Landmine rogues: toxic mechanic that shouldnt' exist in PvP games for the most part.
Greens will destroy normals and the market. You can become pretty much unkillable with right greens enchantments. And, since normals are supposed to be the place for new and "poor" people to find their gear, you will just stomp through lobbies. Normals already is a war zone most of the time.

True, but greens with max damage roll on everything is mathematically somehwere around ~50-70% of the power of a full purple kit. They would have to reduce roll ranges for green (+1 damage, instead of 3) and ramp them up on blues and up for that to work imo.

- I've pointed out on how dumb your take is. You can only separate people by tier of the equipment realistically, and if you say that all, as example, purples are equal in power - you are beyond reasoning.
- Point of extraction game is to extract with more than you had. It is frustrating to fail at it, it is infuriating to lose all to someone you can't even touch, because how deep the gap in equipment you have. PvP games need to be balanced on the start of your run. You either all start naked or at least supposed to have comparable levels of equipment. After all the gear is multiplier of your skill.

You've completely misunderstood my point... You think I'm talking about matching people by exact gear attributes? No. — Obviously it would be by rarity or "gear score" (rarities combined). Realistically a lot of people would just smurf by going BiS greens or Blues and stromping the lobby, the same issue would arise because it's the attributes that matter, not the rarity. — You can have blues that are much better than legendaries for example. — This would end up leading to players not using gear unless it's absolutely Best in Slot, because if they put on a sub-optimal piece of gear, they've not put themselves at a disadvantage. (Others will be using BiS in every slot).

(Even though if you're good you can snowball quickly, just watch Repoze, etc. creating fresh characters). — What you REALLY want, is a battle royale game, where you start with nothing and find gear on the way to the center. — This is NOT that game, however, I've suggested they make a BR mode for players such as yourself.

They just made rogue stealth have a movement effect... Are you even reading the patch notes? Also, you shouldn't have much problem with rogues as fighter. Barbs are very noisy, and should be easily avoidable.

— Keep in mind that many players who simply got outplayed blame gear a lot more than they should. If they watched back objectively they would notice they missed like 2-3 swings and got hit by everything of the opponent. Many are quick to blame gear-gap, when many times it had nothing to do with the fight.

I feel like not being able to see what you're going to craft is a mistake, it leans away from crafting your own items and more so to buying other peoples crafted items from the market. It helps the market sure but it hurts the drive of the individual player to craft it themself since it is exceptionally likely that crafting it yourself will be a waste of money. In addition items being sold by merchants shouldn't have their modifiers be obfuscated either since it just guarantees people to only buy from the marketplace and not from merchants.
There should be an integrated perks page for each class showing what their basic abilities are since although Ambush and Shadow Runner can be added to Hide's description, Pickpocket and Hidden Pockets don't have anywhere they're mentioned and will be not known for new players, same for Ranger's Enhanced Hearing (Chase you'll notice but knowing why it's happening is good).
Lastly, I don't think increasing the stats of gear is a good idea. The stats scaling with rarity was already a problem.

While I would agree, I also think lower populations is a marketing problem and shouldnt be an issue passed down to the players in terms of balancing issues. It makes for a mixed experience IMO. Like why make players have to deal with that when there is an option to have potentially smaller lobbies but its fights worth having? This would improve content from users as well which helps with marketing, IDK.

Yee that's what I was saying, the item itself in the shop isn't actually an item in that circumstance. The modifiers on it are blank modifiers with no functionality and it spawns loot in your inventory when you buy it with modifiers applied at that time.
I understand that should be to make it harder to cheat but like cheats can see inside chests not sure how luck effects it now but do you know for sure what data is actually there?

The closest you could get is if you could figure out the seed for how it gives modifiers you could guess whatever the next loot that woud spawn is but in merchants and otherwise.

Sure, it might be minor in the scheme of things, but I encourage you to look at the history of suggestions that I have posted. This is small, easily fixed and seems like a common sense thing to do for the game. I enjoy the game a lot with over 500 hours played since I purchased in Oct 23'. I have seen Ironmace make some good changes to the game during this time, and I have seen them overlook a lot of low hanging fruit changes.
I desperately want this game to succeed because it has such an amazing core gameplay loop. But more than ever after this wipe, I am starting to loose faith that they will be able to see this project through to what it has the potential to be.
you cant expect the very small dev team to focus on random small nit picky issues when other things are much higher priority. your acting like the game will die becuase your explosive bottles don't stack xD.

Also, while we're at it, the fact they released this major patch, again with multiple obvious problems, without first using their playtest version to give it any sort of testing, is hilariously dumb. Do they not know what these things are for?
You should not be using the second test version to try one or two things out in a controlled environment, you should be testing game builds there because your track record with game builds is terrible so far. You also tend to introduce things people clearly don't like and then have no real place for feedback on it, whereas if this stuff was tested people could quickly tell you things like "this grind is painful" "market doesn't work." "don't like that the maps are now restricted." in your actual test server feedback.

Not entirely there’s definitely room for improvement with what’s added to the test environment I don’t think they have quite decided what they’re willing to “spoil” by putting it on the test server yet
I don't think they should be concerned with spoilers at this stage in development.
For example if they put Druid on the test server from its earliest version there would be 0 hype when it drops and no spike in players
It harms the game more when they under-deliver on what they're putting out. People have given plenty of feedback on demon form being worthless for instance, and druid being based on that mechanic is already a terrible idea they'll under-deliver on. They should be putting these patches out for testing, and then addressing the issues with them, instead of moving immediately on to the next piece of content.
And just so we're clear, demon form is awful. Essentially worthless. It could only be used essentially as a speed exploit before, but it was still terrible compared to a regular caster warlock. They don't seem to understand the basic math behind the transformation resulting in chip damage.
I have zero hype for druid right now, even if they fix map selection. That's how badly this transformation mechanic is implemented. And I really, really tried to make it work for a while.
I also don't think they should be catering to arbitrary spikes in players when in reality constant negligent patches chase people away at a consistent rate. Deal with problems before you start thinking about selling the product. The more you damage your image the less trust you will have. Take this patch for example, I'm not playing it despite a few new things being added. As far as I can tell they've straight downgraded the game.

Duos are ruined again with forced WIP map that only has one level. And the map offers worse experience than Crypt (some players will stay at their spawns next to static exits and leave). Duos should have Crypt/Ruins + Hell. And Ice Mountain should be a 4th map with a rotating group sizes. So everyone can enter it.
Just played my first game back in months, and died to "Kill Volume" (falling into a pit and instantly dying) in the Frost Caves map. Glad to see the developers are still making half baked low IQ decisions like putting things like this in the game!

So Death cam is a bit of a fail . Found a hacker already with way above action speed where he basicly hit me twice in 0.5 seconds. With no agitity or buffs. (stats items etc) Tried to report and it kick me out of the game and death cam

Honestly, this wipe feels fun but also probably the most broken it has been. I feel like all the fun I'm currently having is due to it being a fresh wipe and not the new changes.
We need some sort of Heal on kill. If IM is going to push pvp especially in goblin caves then we need to be able to fight without it having such a negative impact on the dungeon run. Even winning fights doesn't seem worth it most of the time when you come out the other side and have to use all your heals. Not to mention the condition your in after 2 or 3 fights. And we need inferno portals on all maps if your going to lock the maps to duo trio and solo. Everyone wants to play crypts for the inferno level but no everyone is playing in a full squad of 3.

Plate warlock has to be the most useless perk right now...... With move speed & ranged meta going on you are literally a sitting duck. It's like if you took a barbarian, gave him an op melee ability and shattered his knee caps. There needs to be some sort of ranged option with a significant draw back, cause right now taking 10 seconds with halfway decent gear to launch a curse is non-viable.

It would just give a more rewarding incentive to kill... i feel like it would be good for obtaining rarer items to take into high-roller whilst transitioning from a normal game... 1 ear=1 on par common or rare item...

Nerf warlock in general, he was already one of the strongest classes on the last wipe and instead of changing him in a way that'll be actually beneficial; you gave him the strongest shit in the game for no reason, he's the best caster, melee fighter and is pretty much a self sufficient army now. I don't know what they are doing but they do not care about balance at all in the current moment.
(Examples of nerfs: Less magical healing, lower stats, actual downsides to his perks, etc)
Demon form + metal armor + melee healing perk: insane melee
Flame walker + a half decent speed/damage build: insane range (borderline untouchable in solos)

I don’t get people who still think warlocks are so strong. Torture mastery as of right now is dead. The scaling make it impossible to build up a good magical healing build. Getting enough gear to make it viable is to expensive. Plate warlock is just a worse version of plate fighter in every way. A warlock in plate has zero range. They can’t use throwable like axes and spells take way too long to cast making it unviable. The only real viable warlock builds are hydrain and warlocks who focus purely on damage with boc.

numbers are only dropping because it was at an all time high from the new wipe. it's impossible to maintain that for a long time. it doesn't feel like a job to me at all. I just go in normals as ranger and mess around or play trios with my friends

queues literally take less than a minute atm, plus the ttk is really only low if you are in an immediate melee engagement with no shields. hr isn't that bad as you say, plus you can get mid level gear really fast with the new stat rolls, and the new gear changes makes the difference between mid and high level gear lower. this means you can pretty quickly get some gear and face good chances against higher geared players. I don't see why you have to be so condescending
my criticism may be harsh but its mine to do so, just like yours is yours. and ttk is garbage in HR its all about one tapping. norms i will admit are a much better in comparison as far as pvp goes cause the fights are more meaningful and actually can last longer than one to two hits cause no one has ridiculous gear on.
I play hr and low roller regularly, both solos and trios and I don't see that thats the case. in trios, rushing stupidly will obviously get you killed fast. in solos, the classes that die fast are slayer fighter, ranger, rogue, and wizard, all of which have ranged options to deal with people. like I said, the only time ttk is fast is in an immediate melee engagement with someone who isn't running pdr

- All Attributes being on everything shouldn't be a thing again, we've already experienced this. If you want to increase it, just make some gear with it inherent but with downsides (with it only scaling up to +3); It being only on the Amulet at +1 was good because you had to choose between +1 All or +3 Singular for the rolled modifer.
- Crafting Legendaries should still be possible, the Marketplace made this not a problem due to the accessibility of items. You don't even need to do quests anymore due to the Marketplace since you can get all the rewards from it that way. Without them being Legendary I feel like there isn't much reason to craft the weapons, the armors due to their inherents will still be good but the weapons will be worthless.
- You should beable to see the modifiers on what you're going to craft but instead of the modifiers on it changing over time you should have to pay to reroll the stats. This is because there is currently no reason to ever buy materials to craft something yourself as you are extremely likely to lose money to bad rolls.
- You should beable to see modifiers on what you're going to buy from merchants because the marketplace makes it so you'd never chance it on things for sale from the merchants since you're more likely to lose money buying things from merchants when you could just get something pretty nice for the same price from the marketplace.
Please make it so that high roller lobbies separate people who are level 15 and above from everyone else. They have a clear advantage with auction house and make it miserable to try and level up, also leveling up in normals takes too long.

CLERIC BUFF ; holy symbol. Other classes can cast with their melee weapon out. Why can’t cleric? Lose the shield and be more open for attacks while being able to cast is a fair trade.
Honestly not a bad idea I have a similar one that’s like crystal sword it would be a scepter that swings like a mace or morning star and does extra damage to undead scaling with rarity

Being able to see the exits is important especially for ice caverns, I have had to memorize the layout to be able to escape and if there's any giants and it's close to exit time that run is done. Being able to plan things out is important for dungeon diving!

So, I'm here looking to see if anyone has an answer to teaming in GC, or teaming in general. As a solo player 90% of the time, and someone who loves PVP - the GC has become infested with people who team. In order to play the game, I have to rat or avoid people in a huge number of games. Is there an answer to this? The map reduction to 3x3 seems to have encouraged people whom I can only assume die more than they live to team. It's infuriating. Are we supposed to play the solo game like a Tom Clancy book?
If you want rogue to feel more acrobatic, please make tumble recovery period shorter, and lower the cooldown to .25 seconds

You should buff the hatchet weapon 🙂 it's similar to the short sword stats, but the move speed penalty makes it so no one uses it. it could be fun to use if it was better move speed or something
They need to remove solo and add matchmaking. Solo in an extraction game is always an abuse fest. I tried to do my quest and all i had is peoples chasing me on group of 2 to 4 talking in game mic they was not even hiding their teaming that totally absurd and make the game.look super bad

For the wizard class you should have higher damage against creatures (mobs and bosses) with your spells. It should not take you all of your fireball spells and magic missle spells and lighting spells and explosion spells to still NOT kill a demon hunter even in HR Inferno. Please consider the increased damage with spells against mobs. THANK YOU.

Nah, completely cap and also never going to happen. Main problem if anything is crossbows being too good atm. Bows are inherently way better on ranger already, so bard can keep the survival, rogues deserve hand crossbow, and fighters have weapon mastery. Maybe take it away from base fighter so they need weapon mastery to use it? That’d prob be good

- this is really rough mock up
- instead of having random spawns within a map have a way to allow teams / players to choose a spawn room
- I think this could be done by having a standard tileset that each team spawns in with a passage to different doors, THE TEAMS WOULD BE ALONE IN EACH STANDARD TILE SET
- After a team enters a door from the standard tileset they are teleported to the correlated spawn on the map. AT THE SAME TIME the door that would lead to the same spawn on the actual game map would close for the other teams still choosing their spawn door.
This would cause an artifical barrier between low and high gear teams for two reasons. ONE: the high gear team will clear the fastest and thus enter the dungeon first. While the other teams still inside the standard spawn choosing tileset are now alerted where the highest gear team has spawned. AND The highest geared team is unaware of where others choose to spawn. this would also allow for low gear teams to maybe find a nice item before entering the main floor with the other teams. IDK LMK OR ASK FOR CLARIFICATION

We could use a massive overhaul for ranged items, weapons and classes. I think if the devs are true to their word and this is a Dungeons and Dragons enspired dungeon crawler, they should take some of the ideas and concepts from other similar fantasy games and incorporate them. For example; Currently there is very little skill in the game associated with planning, positioning or utility. We could improve this by including environmental hazards that could be used by each class, such as: Chandeliers that rogues can rig to fall on enemies, elemental arrows that the archer can use with a lantern or on a zombies corpse for fire damage and poison damage respectively, rogues can poison designated potions within their inventory, certain types of elements can interact such as fire and gas ect. I think a more proper medium for skill expresion is strategy and planning rather than aiming or positioning for a fantasy game.

So, the "multi-class system" could have some improvements. Not saying that it's the worst, but instead, misleading, since the community has gotten very used to perks and skills X y and z only being on certain classes, making it a bit more reasonable to figure out the general build their opponent is going for.
Instead, I bring a more interesting approach on the matter. Now, instead of having rng to get potential perks... the player, at every 5 levels (maybe could be tweaked if anything is added between the 5 level barriers) gets to choose the class they want to spec into at a maximum of 4. The classes perks and skills will slowly unlock over the course of the 5 levels to the next perk threshold allowing some kind of progression if you will. Now, not to just make it so you can get perks with whatever class you want, your stats will also reflect the other chosen classes. Taking the base stats of the classes chosen, adding them together and dividing them by the number of different classes; it could lead to some interesting builds and a real look into if you are willing to sacrifice some of one Stat to raise another.
I think it would be an improvement to que any map and THEN select if it will be solo, duo or 3's rather than locking different player counts into different maps

3x3 is too small, 5x5 is too big. Why not settle for 4x4 instead of making an arena to duel players in, the goblin caves, including the infamous fourth party which comes in after the third party.

Pdr and MDR cap change is bad. Nerfing fighter and solo cleric (fighter is not the strongest in trio and cleric is weak solo). Make it so divine protection ignores this cap and goes by to previous 85%. Real unaddressed issue is bards and barbs reaching 60% pdr when also being +40ms faster

Bard needs a song that is based on Irish folk music and named after the leprechaun and it gives you a luck stat boost but the amount luck stat increases itself is also luck based. bad performance gives disadvantage on the RNG (takes the worse of two rolls), ok performance is the straight RNG roll, and great performance gives advantage (best of two rolls)

Ranger should have a perk that recudes cooldowns of abilities when you hit a headshot. This could be cool for making the backstep ability better for kiting more then 2 feet

Reducing the potency overall of ranged options and reducing the ability for ranged players to kite melee approaches will bring better emphasis to the game's melee skill expression.
Duos not viable at the start of the season!
Currently solos have a better drop rates than duos plus they have boss to kill and with current AP entry fees, duos just won’t make it. Not to mention, it’s mostly blues in ice caves, barely epics. Duo rankings would be so much behind, and it is supposed to be more rewarding than a solo play. Currently at best you make -600g on average in ice caves, and more than 700 in GC.

@dawn grotto Hiya! Just a small idea; What if the people who died from the cold in ice cave had their bodies immortalized in the dungeon. You know? Just like a select few... and when other people go in, there would be people encased in ice exactly where they died throughout all previous games. Clearly not literally all of them, right? You know just like 3-5 people randomized throughout the level. So when you go in, you run into a room and you see someone who had a failed run because they died to the timer.. if you want, you can break the effigy with your weapon and MAYBE... JUST MAYBE... if YOU'RE REALLY LUCKY... one of the items they had on them drop.

I want ranked rewards to give no stat difference than what is achievable through non ranked reward cosmetics.
Right now Dark Reflection has literally 0 counterplay and is unengaging both from attacker and defender perspective. It is a fire-and-forget perk that rewards doing nothing.
Make it activate only on successful Blocks and it both rewards good gameplay and encourages alternative builds/playstyles.
[If they’re gunna change it somehow] I’d rather it work like a self buff that activates when you get hit and procs on your next melee like BoC does.
Could also expire if unused like BoC if needed.

- Require a redesign into a skill instead of a perk
- Remove an avenue to encourage alternate playstyles/engaging longsword gameplay

The more luck you have, the better luck should be also, instead of diminishing returns, they should be growing returns, or linear.
50 = +0.57% chance of legendary, 100= +0.31%, 150 = +0.20%, 200= +0.14%, 250= +0.10% 300= 0.05%.

I was thinking that the Dagger buff that happened last patch might be too much; not for Rogue I do think that it's fine for rogue with the increased Defensive modifiers that have been introduced there needs to be something to compensate but it actually makes Shadow Touch Warlock too strong when it was already somewhat overtuned without that buff. Thoughts on this, I suggest an alternative where the Dagger buff is reverted BUT increase Rogue's Dagger Mastery's damage by the amount that the original Dagger buff was so Rogues can still directly get the exact same damage they have right now without buffing Warlock.

i like backstep but i dont know that it's currently worth taking over a damage skill or rations. I'd say maybe 3 charges on backstep that can be used no CD and it only regens 1 normally the remaining 2 require a campfire rest. Either that or increased distance andor a speed buff to go along with it

I'm thinking everything stays looted between portals. There is a free fee if going in yellow because you have potentially used your resources to stay alive during the last raid. It's all one lumped sum at the end. It would calculate like it does now?

I think a quest log would be the final piece to making the questing system perfect. It is a slight hassle to have to remember what merchants you have a quest for. Maybe also be able to see this log in game as well? any form of a quest log would be beneficial

It literally just sounds like you have a skill issue with every class. Invis is super easy to counter as you can hear someone drink the invis pot, and rogue invis is a joke right now.

I do. But then it kinda removes the point of looting. You would have to change it to a objective based game like Hunt Showdown.
the problem with gear is that the squire is not providing whites, and they buffed the power of random modifiers on gear. So the gear disparity between no gear and some gear went up a lot, and the disparity between middle-gear, and bis rolls is also huge.
+all is a mistake of a stat; and higher random stats on gear makes it easier to hit specific stats you want.
For me the looting/gear is just boring, I no longer even enjoy killing bosses, just try to kill players but I sometimes just lose even if I play good just cuz their gear set is way too good, or the also the skills carry a lot too like the other time I hit 4 times a warlock and he 2 tap me we both were using falchions I dont even know how
Browns and greys serve no logical purpose, so most armour is stripped for movement speed, which is poor design.
Gear is in a pretty bad spot yes, there are people with what would be end game gear sets last wipe that consist of blues and purples instead of a fancy golden cape and orange items. Bard with 160 hp, barb with 180-200hp, cleric 140 hp.
and then losing my kit cuz couldnt find portal till the last one and is constested with someone with WAY too good gear or we just fight eachother till and nobody opens the portal and we both die
Thats the issue, is you shouldn't have BIS gear, 2-3 hours into a wipe. And anyone being that significantly geared over the rest of the lobby makes it basically unplayable.
Hence my earlier mention about spawn rushing in crypts, who's doing the rushing, very geared players. Who did they rush, me and my buddies with significantly lower health, damage and speed. Its just like fighting golden men all over again.
I honestly think very concept of warlocks is unbalanced. Like, I am genuinely surprised it even got passed the concept phase.

Warlock is a awkwardly designed hybrid who is hyper-gear dependent. Oppressive if you don't have anything to counter him, and you try to fight through hydra etc. Boc is strong yes, but barring gear differences they should be squishy or slow.
I feel like this game should have went towards another route cuz the classes, perks, gear... is just gonna be impossible to balance.
Maybe making it similar to Hunt: Showdown could been cool, like no classes, just weapons everyone can use or cast magic with at the cost of health, if you survive a dungeon you level up your character and gain trait/perks in a playstyle you like like incrase melee damage or magic damage or reduce damage intake with heavy armour etc.. if you die go back to Lvl 1 with no perks/traits.
It's just, the class is so awkward, it shouldn't even be here. It's basically a wizard on steroids on how it's gear scaling works
I'd give someone sloppy to get a game that has the dungeon crawling extraction concept of Dark and Darker, the combat of chivalry 2, the customization of mordhau, and the objective oriented gameplay of Hunt Showdown.

The concept of Dark & Darker is really great, but I just feel myself kind of burn out already, the AI is extremly simple, the Bosses seem to just be tank regular mobs not really challenging once you learnt them, the looting is just not fun, as solo you just have to be lucky not to encounter someone who over gears you or is your counter like a PDR figther encounters a naked wizard as example... the randomness of the game that sometimes does not matter how good you are at the game in PvP is just pushes off to even trying to get better at it.
Dark and Darker is a pvp game that trys to balance the game with a rock paper scissors formula.
You don't even need to be an experienced game dev to know why that's a bad idea. It's a balance formula that, by design, favors chance over individual skill. And that frustrates both the killers, and the killed.
People who play rock (PDR fighter) and then get killed by a person who play paper (wizard) are frustrated because the very fact they ran into one means that they die, and the person who got the kill feels like he didn't really do anything to deserve it because he just happened to run into someone he hard counters.
Exactly, that's why I would just suggest getting rid of the classes and just let players use any weapon they want to remove the randomness, I would also suggest more skill based mechanics like every single melee weapon should have the ability to block & parry & feint being quite simple but requiring practice to get better and rewarding for those who perfect it instead of just M1 hit like this is like playing Minecraft whoever has the best gear wins.

I created a spreadsheet so people can see how numbers play out for hits to kill, EHP, etc.
This also works for magic - simply do not use the Add Weapon Damage box and replace "physical" with "magic" in your head.
Make a copy and play with it yourself. See what the numbers look like - this can help you understand why you died before you make a suggestion to nerf X, Y, or Z.

I would agree that dark reflection is op. It’s a no skill perk that just kills you for hitting me
Suggestion:
In HR, weight player kills AP rewards depending on your rank in the ladder.
Example:
Player kill rewards 14.85 * RankingDifference + 99 + CurrentRanking * 3
Goal:
Balance AP fees in high rankings to make the grind more doable
Make cleanse able to remove gas clouds.
They should add a penalty to blocked/missed BoC similar to the felling axes, while also buffing demon form/ fixing claw swing animation and possibly adding other abilities to it to make it a more viable playstyle
The thing about dark reflection is how it scales with the shards. I think they were trying to make shards an ace in the hole in how it's used for dark bolt, dark beam and demon form. But the demon form, meme beam, and dark bolt are frankly not that good in a lot of scenarios making the best use of them dark reflection, especially considering the +magic add on the reflection. If they fixed demon form and decreased the scaling to maybe 80% max for dark reflection it would be better I believe.
but boc has a buff time when activated. rupture reckless or achiless work similar and dont get punished when failing to hit and they don't last for a set amount of time
You pretty much have to engage the warlock close range as any sort of plate class or melee class however, if you start to run or play ranged they will curse you and gain health back with a hydra or pain. You can try and fake it out but your taking damage either way, shields are a good counter both otherwise your kinda screwed.
If you are using plate and the warlock engages you at melee, is unlikely the boc will kill you and you will take less that half the damage of his attacks after that. You can also use arrows and crossbow and have more damage than his curses and more range. Boc warlock is strong in solos and when people are not good geared, otherwise boc is a non issue.
A warlock cursing and kitting and when you finally use sprint to get in melee he phantomize away, that is a bigger issue but is a expected playstyle which works best in solos and in trios a wizard will do the same and more.
Use your ranged weapons and throwables when boc is active and go melee when is not. Or build MR in top of the PDR. A barbarian with iron will can tank and outtrade a warlock with boc.
For some reason, the server keeps blocking what I am trying to type. But Overall I and other warlocks will camp corners and doorways with hydra and force you to jump over to fight in BoC distance where you can't disengage. Barbs a good counter, but that goes for basically any melee/magic class.
then, if is a wizard, he will use chain lighting on the hydra and hit the warlock, a ranger or a barbarian can kill the hydra or just jump over and win vs a boc warlock. Solos are not balanced at all. Some engagements you lose if the other guy knows what he is doing
a ranger camping a long hallway or an open area, a barbarian camping a corner, etc etc
Finding a ranger is like spotting a unicorn, they are very rare because of the pdr right now. Barbs are a good counter to basically anything in GC, which is why them and warlocks are the top classes in there right now.
But, a ranger destroys a warlock that is using boc, hard, So does a wizard. One of the main reasons there are so many warlocks in solos is that they are better playing solo than with people, where they are weaker
High pdr gear like the champions armour, shields and other pieces paired with a lot of tight corners make rangers a non-issue for warlocks in GC, atleast for my experience . For wizards they are an issue for warlocks, but if you can bait out the chain or use curse and stay a good distance from your hydra and bodies your good.
Also I'm not stating to nerf warlocks BoC in damage or anything else, simply adding a skill requirement for using it, it's weird that you can miss such a strong attack or having it blocked and suffer virtually no consequences, and it's also weird that all the other perks you can replace it with, minus maybe phantom are just plain memes, and non-viable playstyles for the most part.
All I really want as a warlock is for BoC to require some manner of skill, and for demon form and dark offering to be altered so we don't see the Goblin Caves equivalent to a blonde girl at Starbucks: BoC Warlocks with life drain or magic heal.
champion armor, gives what at purple? 78 armor? you get in total 30-40% pdr and that is a exageration, a ranger will destroy you in range and if you want to risk it walking with a shield up until you reach the ranger good luck. And if you are using that build a wizard will demolish you even harder, so will a barbarian or even a caster cleric at that point.
BoC used to wear off when hitting a shield. But it wears off over time so you can kite it off. Phantom and BOC is used because demon form need a build just for make it work and dark offering just doesnt work at all.
Currently people are not as good geared because is the beggining of wipe, when more good gear start appearing warlock lifedrain and boc will fall off hard
What i am trying to say, BoC is not that strong at all, is that everying else is completely meme as you said (except phantom, which because a lot of better option than boc when good geared), and that balance in solos is in a bad state because people are stacking pdr and suddently those who have magic damage are percieved as broken even when any range destroy them
Again that's assuming you go into a long hallway or large area with a ranger, if you do that your iq can't be above room temperature. Also I'm NOT saying to nerf BoC, it's adding a skill requirement to land your hits, similar to powerful weapons like the felling axe or other two handers. I'm also stating not to nerf the class but make more avenues for playstyles, you really don't see any demon forms or dark offering builds anymore, and it's sad because their both cool abilities.

I guess we can agree to disagree on the BoC. The only real range I have encountered is bards, I honestly have seen very little from rangers this wipe. Glad we can both agree that the other abilities could use some love though. That demon form skill is insanely cool and wasted potential. It will be interesting to see if BoC will be hard countered later in wipe, and if the class will fall off.
My personal opinion is, move BoC to a spell and move bloodstained blade to a skill. So you can activate both bloodstained blade and demon form and go crazy.
I've said something similar in the past, where you should have multiple skills you can swap out for your demon form specifically rather than just the heal and dark bolt. Similar to your skills on the base warlock.

I think they are too afraid of touching too much demon form because the insane +10 all scaling and the potential tankiness of stacking pdr with it

i think moving boc to a spell and bsb to skill would be it. That way you can buff your frontline with BoC
And that also would make solo engagements more viable, since you cannot yolo a plate fighter with melees, gotta use curses and flamewalk for that
Ohhhh, yeah I see what you mean that would be pretty good, especially since their team wouldn't be able to heal. Maybe they should add a perk that decreases the damage taken by sacrifice to allies so you could temporarily buff them, maybe something akin to adrenaline so there are drawbacks if the fight isn't finished fast enough. The demon form should have some major weaknesses like heals damaging them..... If there is a major buff, maybe take away some pdr. The +10 all is okay to some extent, as they will take a good while to get back the shards(Unless you have a bard and that buff steal thing which frankly I find to be cheesy that it works on allies).
Yep, we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with "what they want warlock to do in the game" with demon armor and demon form and the new perks. The biggest issue is the rock-paper-scissors thing is making solos a pain to play. and goblin caves being overall not loot worthy so you need to buy things on trade market make it even worse. So a lot of people, myself included, do not give a damn about loot in goblin caves and just go for pvp camping.

The thing is that they either need to make the old, unused skills more viable by either buffing them and nerfing the others to make them on-par with each other, or add new items to the game to make it more viable. The best example is plate warlock, he used to be almost non-viable because of the lack of plate knowledge gear, now you can get to 10-20% spell casting with the plate and it makes it so you can actual play with plate and still cast. I'm hoping that a lot of the skills right now that are unused/underpowered because they are planning to add features later on that will make them more viable.
Yeah, we are on the same page, just difference on opinions on how to get to it. I love the idea of most unused suboptimals or meme skills and perks, i just hope this season is better than last balancewise and they give solo maps some love

yeah, and then nerf the scaling. It would then be a higher base ignite that scales worse only have one use and need to be reapplied but it deals extra damage to head and less to limbs

is not my experience neither in normals, not againt's bard, but maybe there is a exploit with luck we don't know about, maybe it hits a treeshold or something making it garanted purples in some chests

Eh it depends. War song is crazy. Story teller is broken for clerics. Dancing feet move speed is amazing. Lore mastery and Fermata are nice to have. Sup dex makes you switch fast.
Charismatic performance is like 10-75% faster songs based on which one it is its the best perk on bard
Been running mostly War song and Rapier mastery the last two have sorta been flippy floppy to me at least

The game is currently taking 2x the Entrance Fee from players that are revived.
The entrance fee is also a little ridiculous at the moment. -600 at Voyager II. That's -1200 if you're revived.

They really need to modify the Cave Troll loot room. It is incredibly punishing to classes that need to kite or anything like that. If a Barbarian walks down and decides to fight you you're just fucked with no way to avoid it

decrease the pve ffs or at least make it easier to clear. no one wants to deal with pve for 80% of the game. it feels like padding
if pve is decrease geared pvp sweat would just roam everywhere at the speed of light killing every1. once you know every room perfectly and every mobs moves clearing the rooms become faster and faster. it feeled a huge burden to me before but now i start clearing everything very fast and efficiently. just keep improving ur clearing speed.
An idea to fix throwables problem.
Take an example from your clone, Dungeonborne, and add a new equipment slot that is for throwables ONLY. Add the mechanic, that you CAN'T interact with backpack if you were damaged in last 5 seconds. That way it not only solves the problem of throwable meta, but also prevents the stupidity of unequipping your armor on the run.

Axeman skeletons need work. Can't block their downward strike consistently and their sideswipe hits you even if you crouch. The difficulty is not in line with any other skeleton mob.
Crossbowman RNG is just stupid, no one every said "yeah thats fine" when full strafing but crossbow RNG domes you anyways.
Just my thoughts. They are unfun to play against imo. Just make crossbowman 100% accurate and its a GOOD mob. Make axeman swipe the old horizontal one and its a GOOD mob. Right now they are F tier.
The only consistent strategy for axemen is bait and punish wich would but them at the skeleton champion level of danger in my mind.

What if you could put a coin purse or coin bag on your tool belt and use it on treasure piles. Like your scoping the gold into your bag. It would make the coin containers a neat risk vs reward thing. Maybe it could help with the new steep ap entry fees. 1 coin per 1 ap so a coin bag could give 1000 ap if its completely full idk how many coin you should get per pull though

Game fun, very good atm tbh outside high roller. High roller just needs to be reworked. They want people to fight and do PvP, but no amount of bonus AP for kills is going to change the fact the way high roller and AP works makes it much more rewarding to avoid. I think the problem is, I don’t think it is controversial to say that if you are good, you should almost always extract. The problem is, it feels like this game makes you have to be better then everyone else in the lobby to constantly do. Idk how they fix it, but as it stands it feels like there is a lot of internal debate that is conflicting with having a consistent direction for the game.

What if the rate at which you recover health from sitting down increased slightly based on how long you had been sitting? currently at 1hp/2sec, it takes 200sec(3+mins)to regain 100 hp as a barbarian class. what if like after 25 seconds it went up to 1hp/1sec and then after 50 sec 2hp/1sec? I think this change would be amazing for the quality of life while not compromising balance

victory strike should heal 15% on hit, keep CD and all other bonuses the same

those are skills, spells are when they cast using spell memory
and they have 5 spells as part of spell memory, 2 of which heal them as well, and they don't even have to take spell memory 
the kits are lopsided to incredible levels lmao
now that everyone is leveled with their classes, can we make the grind to lvl 15 shorter? the only people this is affecting now is new players who are gonna take AGES to level against experienced players. this only helps to make their time playing the game significantly more unenjoyable, same as with the market. theyre stuck with no gear, no decent way to spend the bit of gold they get, and the image in their head that the game is way too hard when in reality those 4 perks are game changing. pls consider the newer guys

Please consider changing/fixing trio matchmaking. Lobbies were full and games were fun on the first day and my trio reached blue rank very quickly. After that, there are have been nothing but empty lobbies or maybe 1-2 gigageared teams per game. Game is not fun when there are no people. EU server.

Make Dark Reflect only trigger on successful blocks to give Warlocks meaningful playstyle choices and other players a way to play around it. Give players agency on both sides of the perk.

We all know that bard has no good skills at all... The newest one could have some potential but its really just not worth bringing when you could have a whole other wheel. However what if bard had a skill that would silence his music for other players for 15 seconds or so, could actually be a usable skill.

Zero effort builds? You mean BOC dagger? That's a super pokeable and kitable setup. Demon Form? Kite through doors and make him waste it, then counter engage. Torture Mastery? Healing is slow, and damage might be very low, so just hit with some ranged and follow the phantomize. Lifedrain? Force a lifedrain then push to prevent healing

The way you were talking, it sounded like you weren't happy about the balance of everyone 2 shotting, but my point was just that a low TTK (killing everyone in 2 shots) is actually more balanced than a long time to kill.

Keep Shadow Touch but buff Victory Strike to heal 15% HP on hit regardless of if it's a killing blow or not

Suggestion, fix this bug:
Friend traded expensive loot back to me. I equipped it in inventory. I equiped a few more items. I had it on for 5 minutes in lobby. The loot traded over to me disappeared from my character after going into the market place then exiting. The things I equipped from my stash did not disappear. I restarted the game and clearly checked everywhere is stash, still gone.

Problem I see - HUGE gap in loot between normals and HR. Most in HR spend hundreds per kit and when you leave a full normal run you likely have a couple greens and white items. There either needs to be a middle tier gameplay or my current suggestion... To have normals with items no lower than White(common). With rough droprate in chests and items with Common as a base loot quality. So roughly item rarity of like... 50% common(white) 40% uncommon(green) and 9% rare(blue) 1% (purple)
Leave the lower qualities as starter and basic trader tier loot. Goal is to make it easier for players to go from normal runs to HR runs by making loot slightly better.
