198ms slower is not slight. The sword is only about 20ms faster on the attack, which that is actually slight, but still about 50ms slower on recovery. Sweet spots can be argued for a single length but longer spot vs a smaller but much more forward spot.

They need a lot more stealth detection in-game. that would solve a lot. another balance to rogue is force their ambush to where they have to actually be in stealth for 2.5 - 5 seconds and not just a blink in then out. It is a bit too strong for them to just pop an ability for .003 seconds and get 50% damage?!? Makes the name "Ambush" seem to be named wrongly as it is never used in such a manner.

Sugestion: When you sit back up from resting, it only takes away a % of recoverable/grey health (it could be 50% lets say.) Having to stand up with a lot of recoverable health due to mobs, players, or even zone just sucks. Now that bandages ONLY affect recoverable health, and its impossible to use anything when sitting. I feel like this change would be nice. This would also help classes with a large hp pool, that can't get 100% hp back from a basic campfire, and have to sit for another 30-40 seconds. Not sure how people will feel about this change, but im sure that everyone has experienced this at least a few times.

Perhaps Gold should not be a physical item once put into Stash after being brought out of dungeon. It could have it read out at the bottom of your Inventory how it is now, but no longer taking up space for items. In Trades just have an "Add Gold" button to take the place of moving gold physically. A "Gold Bag" inventory area would also be nice for cosmetic appeal as to see your gathered wealth rather, and still not take space away from Gear, or make it an Item that takes up 2x2 space and holds 500 - 1000 coins make them a rare found in game only type item so people want to hold on to them?

Please do some sort of balance toward Rogue, I am seeing tons, and I mean TONS of Duo, Trio Rogue Naked Groups taking out fully geared "balanced" teams. I ran 10 solo runs in duo just to test it out and killed self to spectate. Almost half the lobby is a Naked Duo Rogue team... Something should scream unbalanced at this point... Ambush needs a build up time before activation, 2 - 3.5 secs before it kicks in. Not much of an Ambush if there is no prep to it... More just a Buff?

Some people are of the misconception that removing trading will remove gear disparity. They are of course wrong without trading low skilled and medium skilled players will be unable to obtain even middling power kits and the Top 10% sweats and streamers that can solo hell and high roller in greys will just stomp everyone else with their giga chad sets and face even less resistance than they do now, because even getting a blue dagger will be difficult for everyone else

I dont like the current trade market system aka above lvl 15 matchmaking which introduces the trade market, also trade market matchmaking wouldnt be removed entirely there would still be a separate trade market matchmaking, me and my friends plus people I have played with like playing without trademarket aka under lvl 15 matchmaking way more then the other one because there arent so many full geared sweats stomping the whole lobby. There would also probably way less cheaters if the didnt have gear as an incentive.

Would love to see a Solo Self Found option when creating a character that disables the Trading Post for that character. SSF characters would only be able to party and queue with other SSF characters. This could replace the 1-14/15+ lobbies because honestly, a no trade environment is much more fun.

Fireball damage is split into 3 parts, Direct, Splash, and DoT
most of that damage comes from the direct hit which you'd have a hard time landing on yourself
so no, you are not going to take more damage than they are from your own fireball
but if they are close enough for you to hit yourself, they are probably swinging on you
if they get you low by smashing your face in and then you fireball yourself, yeah, you'll probably die to the fireball

I wouldn't say completely useless in a fight, a couple point of magical healing can keep a warlock at full HP even when trading damage
better for everyone to be able to take two hits than have the warlock be the only healthy person
making some distance and redistribute health might be just what you need, I know I'd get a lot of value out of it, especially if the "fight" is more of a poke battle between rangers

the only 2 perks that actually do anything for a barbarian while using viking sword and chest piece are berserker and robust. all of the other perks are things like gain X after a kill, two hand perks, or axe perks. there is literally not a single perk for swords. and one of our best perks requires us to not use a piece of armor. so if i find a good chest piece and using a viking sword its meme perks

Wizard, Bard, and Ranger all have reliable ways to check for rogues
Warlock and Barbarian can both kill the rogue faster than the rogue can kill them
Fighter and Cleric both can use shields which if used correctly can kill any momentum the rogue has from their attempted ambush
which leaves Rogue as the victim with the biggest disadvantage in this scenario, but at that point you are just getting outrogued

honestly, I don't like the idea of making it a baseline mechanic, I love the fact that you have to be mindful of what you have on your toolbelt
I just feel that hiding your toolbelt works better as a small bonus to a wider effect

Like even before the Barb achilles nerf, he would just get 2 dots on the Barb or their teammates and he'd just absorb the axe and heal right up. Phantom out or through them to escape etc.
It got its uses for sure, you have to build a playstyle around it.
BOC obviously is amazing vs tanky foes with high phys reduction.

Suggestion for inder 15 lobbies

Under 15 lobbies are a bad idea, it is harmful to both -15 and +15 players

Over 15 players lobbies had a huge increase of uber geared players in normal, every game as the one player (or team) with purple and legendaries while before the patch it was kinda rare.

Under 15 lobbies will bait players into thinking they are good at the game at some point until they hit the +15 wall and get destroyed, better to experience the worst since the beginning instead of gatekeeping the actual game.

If they really want a place for new players to learn it shouldn't be in any way related to the actual level of the character, it should be based on the purchase of the game, or the first log in. An example could be like 5 days of easier lobbies and then you get pushed into normal lobbies no matter the level, this is still a bad solution imho, but at least it stops experienced players abusing under 15 lobbies

the inventory should fill up top to bottom, not left to right. this way you can always auto fill your inventory without having 3/4 of your inventory open slots, but the item you want being too tall to fit anyway..

remove ambush perk. its totally unnecessary and just rewards a rather boring playstyle that gets cheesed and abused. combined with other perks and abilities like weakpoint, rogues are able to create a build that can do more burst damage than is reasonable with only a green/blue dagger. also the fact that weakpoint scales with your weapon's damage is just asking for this even more.

Guys, I have a proposition. One of 2 things needs to happen. Either 1, Arrows and bolts are no longer obtainable from someone you shot. Or 2, Throwing axes and Throwing Knives can be looted like arrows and bolts. If arrows and bolts are only 1 gold per, then by golly I should be able to loot my axes and knives off people since they cost 9X what an arrow does!

Traps are somewhat balanced due to price but spawning with them is a bit OP at times (crypts, block doors) If they didnt do as much damage then maybe they'd be better (at low levels at least)

longbow isnt strait up the problem. idk its the damage at long ranges thats the problem. quickshot is an issue but strait up removing it from one of the bows isnt a good way to balance.

its just better to add more damage fall off at range compared to strait up nuking longbow dmg. better to reduce quickshot to 2 arrows in a row with longbow compared to removing it from longbow. I do agree with the reload on multishot though, multishot should be an anti close range thing not a free reload and a close range killer.

Explain why the magician is being nerfed. There is no chance against a rogue, and there is no chance against a barbarian with a passive attack who does not die from 5 fireballs. It’s generally funny to play a mage against a ranger; at any distance the ranger is stronger than the mage. I played 10 games and there were 1-2 mages in the lobby during that time. They have statistics, why don’t they rework it? Or do they only look at high-roll triples in which magicians for 10 keys run around and destroy everyone?

I join any other class, and within a few games I reach a full set. Moreover, without any experience playing these classes at all. I play a mage all the time and even in a good set I do worse than with any other character. This is so stupid

I dunno about anyone else but I feel like the warlock should be able to have plate boot, helm, and gloves no chest or legs. They aren't tanky enough and nowhere near enough dmg and mobility to be anything other than a front liner. Not only will it help fit them into a role but it also fits the lore. When I think warlock I'm thinking cloth robes and pants with crazy looking plate helm gauntlet and boots carrying a 2 hander with magic but I dunno just me. For example:

  • Goblin race could have increased armor rating (more durable, born in nature)

Make game more dark n darker - Turn torch off by default in dungeons, force all players to play with torch/lanterns which they all has by default and uses of lantern would suddenly become a thing rather than just a sell to the vendor thing. It can be helpful for the devs to know what their playerbase wrong, rather than putting in the manhours into coding unwanted changes before having to revert them.

This is the same argument youtube made against the dislike button, it's important to have a feature to downvote something if you don't like it. Devs don't have time to read every comment made by every person but they do have time to see a number and realize whether or not something is popular.

I'm not by any means saying it should be the only metric, but it's definitely a USEFUL metric and to say that it isn't is to say that ONLY positivity is ever useful when in-fact that isn't the case and sometimes negativity can be helpful to guage a community's response to something.

Idk what your argument is since I'm not reading all of anything y'all are typing but, if they just completely removed the ability for people to see likes and dislikes on the suggestions it'd lead to less of an eco-chamber esc thing (learnt about that in TOK 2 years ago) although make it harder for a solidified opinion due to the wide spread of likes and dislikes.

The devs are less likely to remove a change even if it is negatively perceived after it's been implemented. Pandora's box is easy to open but near impossible to close.

I do not like the idea that the devs implement a suggestion based on an incredibly vocal minority and even though there's a lot of backlash they just leave it in the game.

We already know this has happened before, as per the healing change. Most people were vehemently against it, but it stayed in the game regardless.

as i have said... devs are using better info and are not just focused on upvotes and would not be interested in downvotes either.... its a broken system thanks to human nature... the easier it is to do/use, the easier it is to fake/abuse... if there are people who blindly upvote a suggestion, then downvotes would not change that behavior... when someone gives a comment, you get much more info than just ⬆️/⬇️... the upvote is there so that people can sort suggestions and is not the only one there is... (NEW/TRENDING sort)...

just died from randomly casting Protection on an invis rogue that was camping a hallway and he only had like 8 HP left after the fight. They really really need a self-cast modifier key. There is NO WAY you should be able to accidently buff an invis enemy while using magic. I'm no expert, but I don't think that's how magic works.

I think a good nerf for bard would probably be the fact he can literally turn off the main damage source of wizards to nerf wizards.
Finally, the fixture that will nerf him in-order to balance him to everyone else is the nerf to his practically permanent shield lockpicking abilities!

Ight I got a hot take.

  1. Rework for rouge. A nerf would make it unpleasant for the player and a buff would make it unpleasant for anyone else.

  2. Bows and crossbows need a damage nerf across the board bows should be a support weapon mainly not a main weapon. Longbow should do significantly less damage and normal crossbow should do slightly less damage.

  3. Ranger should have a better variety of armor options and sword options to make players feel more comfortable using a melee weapon.

  4. Barbarian speed boost should be nerfed. A full clothed barbarian with a hand axe shouldn't outrun a nude rouge running away

  5. Throwing axes should stack to 3 so barbarian has a better chance at range

  6. Warlock should be able to use throwing knifes, and warmaul

  7. Chain lightning should have slightly increased range while also having slightly less damage.

  8. Divine strike should have farther range

  9. Increase the amount of npc enemy's but also increase player count for all lobby's

Just an idea (not my idea my buddy was saying this ) should have a in game black market where you bring coins and stuff in to the dungeon to trade have it spawn at three separate locations on the map so none camps just one of them and maybe make it on solos or duos at first just so the camping of the market isn’t so overwhelming at first but I think this would be a great idea and make it so people have access to high range gear but with a risk

Dear iornmace devs -> Please make my account speciel and let me become the 1st dungeon master in-game. The Idea:
3 tiers of dungeon might bring a bit more balance to lobbys and to the risk/reward for players:

the first tier, which would be what is now normal, would be aimed at people in grey green, players that start or casuals that do not have an economy and want to build themselves a basic kit, with a slightly lower drop rate regarding blue purple + items (maybe more green items then though) to push geared players out.

The second tier, "veteran" difficulty, which would have a higher drop rate (something in between the current normal and high roller) and more red monsters with an occasional nightmare monster. it would be aimed at players with green blue kits

The third which would be the current high roller, that leaderboard is based on. It would be aimed at blue-purple and above kitted guys and those who want to have a go at the leaderboards.

Why:
Currently a lot of average to good players that are correctly geared do not go into high roller as they know they will just get 1-2 tapped by overgeared teams going for the leaderboards (or risk losing gear to a dc but that's another issue).
These geared players in turn stomp players that are in normal as they don't have an economy or just lost all their gear.
(Yes git gud i know, but sometimes you have a bad session, you lose all your gear and it feels almost impossible to gear yourself back up as you get destroyed by gigachadgears every couple of games and the latest swarm update often makes you cross a large part of the map which gives you less time to loot, that or you start in the finish zone).
The system i suggest could also make the "level matchmpools" irrelevant.
Players could still queue any mode they want but there would be no use for a geared team to stay in normal killing grey players.

To me the problem is not about the price of HR but what they call risk/reward.
The reward is currently not high enough in HR, loot is ok but the risk of dying is very high due to supergeared teams so a lot of teams that should be ok in HR (gear wise) do not go in.
This in turn makes the risk in normal way higher, hence the middle ground i'm looking for with the Veteran difficulty.

Maybe add more unique items named like "viola", a dark magic staff (for example the lich staff) and when u cast spells, they change colors like dark or purple fireball etc... There are a lot of imbalance issues going on not even from a class balance perspective, but due to you developers making changes, you guys need to do a wipe.

  1. The best players are still out there running plus three to all stats, while nobody else can have a chance at that power.
  2. Players who had access to the trading post before the new restrictions set in are chilling with full inventories. I have 3 guys in this situation, these games I have played have been absolutely no fair for the other players.
  3. Rangers can still access the trading post before level 15 (not sure how this hasn’t been immediately addressed).

I honestly have no idea why a wipe wouldn’t have happened after all of this, but it needs to happen asap

Wondering if bard tranquility song will be reworked? The sitting down party makes that song almost useless, it also makes the magical healing stat so useless on a bard. I think reducing the heal amount, and increasing the length of the duration (to like 40-45 seconds or something?) would allow it to scale with magical healing stats on items, and actually make it useful. Clerics can reliably heal during comat, and drink a few pots/sit at a campfire and they're able to fully heal their team DURING combat again, whereas bards are limited to buffing team. I think the bard tranquility spell literally only saves you from buying a couple bandages, cause why would a team with gear sit down to heal marginally faster when they can just drink a pot and hit 1-2 bandages and it's litterally faster than sitting down with tranquility on.

I enjoy making missing more punishing. i think the slow when you swing is good, you shouldnt be able to move at max speed while swinging, regardless of connection. fighters and barbarians just full move speed swinging sounds super bad.

Also put a turn speed cap on swinging. yeah, no. These people who swing their mouse wildly, are not an issue as they are hitting your limbs. Aim for the head and youll actually kill people. being able to correct a swing due to a crouch/lean movement is acceptable imo -- and also typically ends in a limb shot still

The way it works now does a lot to stop you from being able to punish a bad swing without being too slow to leave their range in return, and it's simply not fun to have a mechanic in the game thats slows fights to a crawl before damage is even dealt.

There are already quivers in the game. Each bow has a magazine that you can fill up from your inventory. The thing you are asking about is to create a separate space for the arrows that won't fill up your inventory. Like a backpack that you can put into the cloak slot that will increase the space of your inventory, so that you can store the arrows there.

I feel like you want an automatic inventory sorter so that you don't have to manually create a space for arrows when you are full of loot instead.

Mostly it's not adding anything to the game that's not there. Rangers wearing a quiver instead of a cloak doesn't offer any game breaking stat gains. It also makes it so rangers don't lose inventory space from arrows, which is unfair compared to other classes given that arrows take up much more than other consumables like pots/bandages for example. The idea is for rangers to be able to use a quiver INSTEAD of a cloak. Additionally, if the ranger wants to use a really good cloak instead of a basic quiver, that is a decision they will have to make.

also If you look at higher tier players, they are rolling with like 6-8 stacks of arrows, the quiver having the possibility of higher inventory space like 2x3 for grey/white, 3x3 for green/blue, 4x3 for epic/legendary maybe allows the space to scale with gear. Even if a ranger had a legendary/epic quiver (4x3) they will likely still have 3 or 4 stacks in their inventory anyways. The idea is to kind of mitigate the face that rangers lose inventory space where other classes are not dealing with that issue.

I think this mainly only applies to fighter/barb. and there is positives and negatives to each.
Full plate fighter will rarely have the movespeed to 'punish' a missed swing by getting a hit off and running out of melee distance. They just have a favorable trade now

Barbarian punishes a missed swing, by 1 shotting, or 2 shotting his opponent. If the barbarian misses his swing, its usually over for him if he has a 2h, but if he connects with a felling axe for example, the next swing will actually be faster

Nah pretty universally it's fairly hard to get a hit without it being a trade against everyone but barbarian if both peoples movement are decent I've tried it with a friend with both rogue and fighter and if both peoples movement are good it's wildly difficult to punish a miss without making it a trade, like a 20ms margin which would be impossible to do with consistency against randoms considering desync,

The main issue i have with this suggestion is that people would use the option to pick-up other player's heart, so that the enemy team could not come back later to pick it up and maybe revive them.

The second issue i have is that when you attack a player with default gear, you should not be rewarded just like that with a heal potion (in form of heart) when you kill them. Every time you enter the dungeon you should be prepared to take damage and have heal supplies to recover with accordingly. If you find a heal potion on the enemy, then that should be just a bonus.

If you need heals there are plenty ways to get them (skills, spells, shops, shrines,...).

This makes sense maybe as a perk for warlock or barbarian, but the main issue would still not change.

well first you have to realize there is very few classes you are just trading in melee with.

rogues can dance with barbs ez, like a barb with a 2h can NEVER hit a rogue that knows how to use WASD. Very easy to punish a barb on rogue.
Fighter you cant really punish a barb like that, assuming you are in full plate. if you dont have full plate on you can definitely move out for the 2h swing.
Barb cant punish while using a 2h, the only punish you get is if you hit your shots and 1-2 shot someone. That is kinda the barbs MO tho, just smash and destroy
Yea if a rogue misses his first shot, you cant just move out of the way for his 2nd shot, i think that kind of the advantage of having a low damage/fast attacking weapon though. you just have to kill him first if he tries to all-in you

Any other class youd find in melee is likely not worth talking about because its not really a 'fight'. warlocks one shot you or you one shot them in melee, if you find a bard solo they are kiting you all day. wizard in melee KEKW

I guess you could include cleric here, but inside of a solo scenario, they are likely using 1-2 spells, judgement, and maybe getting 1-2 melees off before you are dead. its not much of a 'melee trade'

Just do a blanket nerf on all damage by 50% it'll stop one shots and reduce incentive to camp for the ambush first hit.

yeah class balance right now is rock paper scissors, x counters y, y counters z, and z counters x.

This goes both ways, if you are good and won the fight, then technically the enemy is worse than you? That doesnt take away from what you had to do for the win. This is just a bad statement in general. Its pretty universal that if someone is bad at a game, they will mostly lose.
I would say being knowledgeable about all classes and making tactical decisions is whats gonna win you these trades.

Yep. 1-2 shots and wizard is dead. Any blue long bow can pretty much 1 headshot wizards

Hot take : i think each class should have preferred stats and those stats affect each class differently. Like a rogue or ranger should be able to stack agi and still get some hp, even if its only at half the benefit. Wizard/cleric/bard same thing. Maybe one scales with will or knowledge or agi different than the others. Its pretty wild to me each class scales the same with all stats class wide. I think a lot could help balance classes and stats on gear by just making classes focus on certain stats over others.
