currently, either you get a shield, for your ungeared runs (hurrdurr btw) or you just straight up never go on a warlock without a shield. Doesn't matter if you've found 8 blues and he's in starter gear, if he lands that hit it's a guaranteed win for him... when using longsword*

I think the problem with that lies in the fact that the tide of battle would change to easily with one dodge and it would close the class advantage to much and aslong as you dodge the headshot I or don't get parried it shouldn't oneshot

BoC expires over a time period if you dont attack, and if you hit a wall or shield it will be consumed.

Im really not seeing the problem then if it runs out theres counterplay right there play off that cooldown if thats the only problem
its around 15 seconds before it just expires, most the time people will just choose to hit the wall and get the CD to restart if they know someone is kiting away
if they want to hit the wall then you get a free hit in lmao. and you can fight right there.

if the CD is gone, you have bigger problems. They have pulled the magic out and are going to zone with hellfire and DoTs.

Hellfire is one of the worst spells in the game, and CoP does minimal damage. It's only problem if they build healing.

Well you are lucky then, I kill players all the time with hellfire. Controlling corners and doorways is just easy kills or zones them away/into you. At which point then BoC and they tend to fold
CoP is absolutely nightmarish with the right comp, too. Pop it on your barb with +100 mr and you're insane. And then drop it on a couple enemies, too. just need the gear to support it
It's the slowest and loudest spell in the game. Everyone's movespeed is faster than it. If it's going through a wall you can hear exactly where it is way before it comes out of the wall.
But warlock is in a fine position, imo

Sure its slow and loud, that doesnt change the fact that if cast in the right pathing, you are either cutting the fighter/barb from his team OR you have hit someone with it and 60dmg a second tends to crumple people.

also the same amount of damage you can do with Hellfire can easily be done with one headshot from a Longbow/Crossbow. Much faster.

That lasts for 3 seconds and removes a source of damage from the fight. It just becomes another pokemon battle, just without supports now.

And I wouldn't like if they make clerics even worse for solo/fighting... i.e make cleric a slightly more fighting class while pushing them away from full supports.
Making lesser heal less spammable would hardly nerf solo cleric. Solo cleric already has amazing 1v1 potential in melee fights with self buffing, and you aren't exactly spamming the heal during a mid-fight 95% of the time anyways. Again, Cleric main here.

again, cleric main here too. No, you dont spam it. And clerics arent bad for 1v1 in melee fights, but they're the only class that has no escape/catch up option. You can use smite to be on equal footing in melee fights w fighters/barbs, or use judgement to punish rangers/wizards who for some reason get close, but the problem is you have to play rock paper scissors with it, it's one or the other. You wont catch any class that doesn't want to engage in a melee confrontation as a cleric (slowest movespeed, slowest attack speed, slowest interaction speed)

That's just a melee fight issue for most classes in this game that use armor. That won't change much, but even then, you stiull have ranged options like Judgement and Divine Strike to deal with those classes. Or Bind if you're particularly accurate.

Both of those spells are among the shortest range "range abilities" in the game... Judgement 5 m range is a joke xD. A good rogue will take 0 damage from a cleric, no matter how good they are... legit, you can outrun it during the cast time if you pace properly, and using rapier you can outpoke a cleric with your higher ms... Same with bards, and rangers, and wizards, and fighters...

Clerics arent bad, they're the most valuable class in the game. But it's not a secret that they're not being designed to partake in fights...
Still, spamming healing is not a healthy gameplay mechanic, it just isn't. It's not fun to play and it's not fun to play against, especially with the little-to-no anti heal we have in the game currently.

I agree, and as I said earlier, yes, feel free to put a cd on it but atleast give them something else they can do then... but Imo I think they should make every class tankier to allow for more "skillful" playing. I don't like the 2-3 tap meta, or dying to a single trap because there's nothing you can do anymore if you get stuck in one (sure that's partially a skill issue, but rubberbanding and traps in doorways/above ground are kind of ruining any outplay there anyways).
Honestly make every fight longer and more survivable as every fight feels like just see who can hit more than twice and die first

I think the throwing axes are way more powerful. Seen Barbs one shot with them unironically.
Game is distance based or it seems to be that way. Wizards can fireball you from infinite distance, same with arcane blast. Rangers have distance and can keep a team back. When both are on a same team, it’s ungodly what they can do. Clerics, even barbarians get shredded by wizards due to lack of magical resistance in the game. If you don’t have distance in your team, yours basically screwed.
the fact that you as a new player with grey equipment have to deal with purple and blues on the normal howling crypts is just terrible. this is one of the major reasons why people will start leaving. please implement a gear score to limit this differenciation of gear. no point balancing anything will this is going on

And how does it calculate if someone has a purple with only greys after, will I go against purple geared players or low geared players. If it's based on the items what if I just bring an insanely strong one shotting sword and base gear?
fine by me. it comes down to skill then. right now skill is irrelevant. im met players who can't hit a single swing but once they do they kill me with 1 hit, 2 at most, while i need to hit 7-8 hits. (without a cleric in their team healing them)
people with gear score > 100 can only enter HR, people with gear score < 100 can only enter normals - problem solved

I think gearscore is a baby brain take, do a stash score instead. If you are stacked and chose not to risk anything you should still get matched with squads that are rolling hard (as you could have and chose not to)

It's just a thought because it is very discouraging playing with my buddies who don't play the shit outta this game. They can't ever get gear to survive a raid or get enough coin to buy a kit to run. It'd be nice if they could actually consistently find a green that might not even have an enchantment but at least decent base stats.

I really wish Ironmace would let us save and name custom filter settings. That way, when I'm searching for items, bouncing between each trade chat every couple of minutes, I don't have to reselect 8 things from the filter menus. I could just select my premade custom filter.

No, the issue is then you're being sent to lower geared players because of your zero stash value, your idea only works if it also has gear value to go with it.

alright bottom line the game is great and growing in the right directions but right now the speeds and time to kills you can achieve have a hard diminishing fun return even on the winning side, and the slow paced charm is lost. if scaling can explode into 1 taps, you are playing an entirely different game with gear

Holy crap someone understands, nobody wants to say it because theirs always someone who says "Get Gud". The game's playerbase will eventually tank because there is no fun to be had starting off in the game unless you're cracked as hell at the game, and even then you'll have to play like a little bi*** just to scrape up some gear.
I'm pretty bad and seem to do just fine building a stash. The game has tons of learning curve, if you are still taking damage from mobs at all then you have not really learned how to play yet, just keep trying it gets better.

see now you're just lucky. me and my party are more than good with a thousand hours on mordhau and a bit more on tarkov. we know how to move, we know how to fight. yet, as i said, if you need 10 hits on someone and he only needs 1-2 there is no skill there

i hear you man and it doesn't feel great to get stomped by some juicer squad, but i think there's a bigger discrepancy around class balancing than there is around gear balancing. aside from named items, gear HELPS get kills but it isn't the sole deciding factor in most cases

Rangers shouldn't default spawn with traps actually an instant death sentance or giga spacing for a ranger they should need to buy them from merchants to use
I think both are equally as out of wack atm, or close. It would go a long way in at least making more low tier enchanted gear spawn in the normal lobbies, because my casual buddies don't have a good time getting carried and brought gear constantly instead of just finding it in raid, or trying to do that with bullshit gear and them getting wiped by caped main characters like me.
I CAN build a stash, but I also play a good bit and like the game a lot. You seem to be determined on me being horrible.

Also to be fair they do decent enough, it just really sucks for them surviving like four raids in a row and not be able to find anything good for their class in normals and then eventually donate the couple scraps of gear they do get to super geared teams. And yeah, Cycle was a decent game, that shit was a shame.
It just sucks only having fun in solos or rogue ratting solo on crypts.
What I do is just farm nothing but gold, gear I almost exclusively get with trading from other players. I hope your friends don't give up!
I enjoy hr solo because it actually drops gear in chests and mobs. But for the most part I be buying blues and purps on trade chat too.

Add more dialogue on characters. Bard singing, mage spell voice cast like tormentum detonos or similar latin words for magic missile or fire. Also warlock can voice spell magic. Archer can say more english words like take this im ready to break ur brain. More voice acting on characters will be very nice.
Rouge can whisper also in latin. It will be very scare to be in a dark room and u just start listening bunch of wispers. From a team of rouge's hahaha

And the downvote option did nothing other then also bring the people that felt the abusive mechanics and features are "fine" because its MY class and Dont nerf MY class/ abused mechanic. I do not disagree, however gearscore is not the solution. I've said it before and I'll say it again; the potential of either being a scavenger or somehow killing someone above your league to jump leagues up is a major facet of the game. When it comes to downvotes, this is an opinion thing at this point; as a developer when you don't take into account both voices your game can filter those people you're ignoring out of playing it. This happen with The Culling and a few other games that were decently popular where they took too many suggestions that large parts of the community didn't like but a vocal minority felt was important.
I understand you want your voice to be heard and to not be stifled by people disagreeing with you; I feel the same way but there needs to be the back and forth so it appeals to the community instead of just a small part of it.
I can all day think that people are dumb for wanting Duos but if the major part of the community wants it then it should happen (just an example though).

My point is that all votes on the suggestion form is invalid without having downvoting as an option.

To expand on what I said before, downvoting is required to show both sides of the coin. We've seen many suggestions in suggester before that has an ok amount of upvotes and an insane amount of downvotes; an example: #d-and-d-suggestions message

They where Wrong with their opinions as "use a shield" and "just dodge" are not valid to the massive slow the bow outputs with the damge and safety at range. And many ranger mains would downvote it to oblivion because "nothing wrong with rangers". That being said, sure there are many people that wont like the bow nolonger slowing on hit, and IM would never implement that as a possible solution if downvotes where in play.
So I can make some clarifications then; Gearscore will force equal players to fight eachother, it removes inequality which obviously is a good thing but it also removes the ability to loot gear that is leagues better than yours and instead only minorly better. It's a major facet of the game to either scavenged from other fights or end up getting lucky. I do think there is a problem with pub stomping right now, but gearscore will make things less enjoyable.
So, the only thing you can even think of is that you can no longer get rich quick.

Yea, I totally agree that it is impossible to quantifiably view the impression of the suggestion, BUT thats why its the suggestions. At the end of the day, IM has to digest what we find as the issues, and compromise the suggestion, the players solution with what fits within the design pillars or can be quatifiably reviewed in the backend statistics. IE: Rouges having the hand crossbow, Great suggestion, but everyone forgot the powerhouse dps with ability to hide in unreachable locations.

Yes, bossing is still atrocious if there are multiple teams to deal with and you're attempting to loot, especially based on the RNG of where rings go.
Idk I feel like it's fine, that said I wouldn't be against us getting a triple escape portal from killing a boss to cut down on the time of managing a portal after; I'd be fine with the timer being increased instead of that though. I normally just bring Trolls blood just incase the circle ends up messing with the arena or for the treasure hoard.

Suggestion: Has anyone suggested maybe trying a wipe without trading at all? Boost the amount of items and item rarity that the traders have, as well as increase the price of items. Could be a very fun experience that may solve some issues that people have with sweats just having perfect gear sets and pub stomping people. Would make gear feal more important and worthwhile
Thoughts on something like this being a modifier? Note that the maximum possible % using all pieces of gear would be 18% if you got a perfect 2% roll for the same consumable on your Head, Chest, Legs, Boots, Gloves, Both Rings, Amulet and Cape.
- Untouched <Consumable> X%; This provides a chance to NOT use up an item. Rolls a random consumable (Including Thrown Weapons) and Rolls 1-2%. Example: If you have "Untouched Protection Potion 1%" you have a 1% chance upon drinking a Protection Potion to keep it instead of it being used up.
Had an idea that coincidentally sort of addresses the trio/solo issues. Not super fleshed out, but I want to see people's thoughts.
SUGGESTION: As a cleric you should not be able to heal a dead ennemy.
OR: As a Mage you should not be able to haste a dead corpse as well

Let's get feinting in the game, being able to cancel your attack before you finish your swing. Would make for some great melee pvp encounters
Longbow isn't even the best ranged option for Fighter unless he's running with a Cleric to give him Divine Strikes.
Also, being able to end phantomize by re-pressing the key would be very nice.

I could see "abilities take priority over attack animations" as a possible way to lean into this, especially with some skills like Victory Strike being impossible to execute mid-combo due to their required animation.

cave troll aggro needs to be fixed, he lunges forward on almost every attack, has fairly strict dodge windows and is gigantic, no need for him to be able to get me up against a wall and then just reset back to full hp because his arena doesn't have proper boundaries
its just a nightmare to farm for that one reason, getting into a good rhythm, pvping in the actual fight itself and getting an advantageous circcle just to lose because his hp went back to full again

okay GBMM is not "wack af" thats 5-11 slots of + additional stats or stat changes. Most the time with a premium stat change, really changes the game from a skill to that of luck and gear. Imagine fighting someone with +1 all attrabutes on ever piece of gear and its all green. thats +11 to EVERYTHING, you are not killing that person in your 2-3 gearpieces of any piece you found in the dungeon.

My shit opinion is to have a GS that is based on Quality, Stat desirability (IE: Knowledge on casters or str on melee fighters), then the roll of the stats( high roll defense or got +2/3 all stats) Add all this up for the player then the team. If you exceed the "average player" by XX% then you are just forced into a HR lobby or maybe just skip right to a hell raid.
The more systems you apply to a gearscore calculation, the less effective it becomes and the easier it is to exploit
Subtracting the fact that I dislike GS, I feel like that'd make alot of people angry forcing them into things like Hell or locking them out of specific map configurations.

what if instead of your lobby being based on the quality of your gear, it was based on how many times that gear has made it out of the dungeon
it would be like a winstreak based matchmaking that you couldn't reset by resetting your winstreak
the only real way to bypasss the system would to obtain a fresh set of god gear, making intentionally stomping low gear lobbies stupidly expencive as you would have to constantly buy/find new high quality gear

- Inherent Item Attributes +X; Increases the inherent stat(s) on the piece of gear it's rolled on by X. Rolls 1-2. Example: Riveted Gloves have +1 Strength by default. If the Riveted Gloves had "Inherent Item Attributes +2" it would increase the +1 Strength on the Gloves to +3.
That'd seriously kill momentum for new players/fresh wipes, especially if it were a strict threshold. Escape once, get trounced by people in full shop kits before you're level 5.
It's also just a huge bummer in general, escaping with gear only for it to be 'toxic' for playing with your friends is much more problematic than something as simple as permanent max durability damage on repair would be.

just win KEKW, dont get hit and kill and kite the whole dungeon, or JUST RUN LOL.... its never that easy and as stated above the difference of a geared player and non geared player is a HUGE stat differance and the skill of killing them and taking their loot is only 1% of it, they have to misplay the whole fight. Which if they are in that gear in the first place they KNOW how to play and fight. So your skill level could be the same or even better then them but the +11 Instances of stat changes MINIMUM this is just greens in each slot. You dont get to fight, you get 1/2 shot, while doing maybe 10% of their hp.

the AR curve is probably the worst when it comes to gear you can feel helpless against someone with like 70% pdr
at lower gear levels you are constantly swapping out your gear anyways, keeping you in relitivly low score lobbies

Yeah 100% I do think we should also have a little more restriction on rolls. If a modifier has no functionality on a class even with unique items for them it shouldn't be rollable.

The fact that your outing yourself as a shitbag that likes to just pubstomp and think everyone should just get good gear and play better, while IM is actively addressing the gear disparity by changing weapon damage, the AR curve, increasing loot in the dungeon and activly listening says alot about you aswell.
basically, the system you've proposed with gear becoming 'radioactive' naturally discourages people from playing together if they don't extract from scratch all in the same sitting/continuous sessions
you've either got to commit some of your very limited stash space, which is so restricted because the devs espouse a 'use it or lose it' philosophy, to holding onto radioactive gear to play with elsewhere, or you drag other, less geared or prepared individuals up into higher 'radioactivity' brackets-- and if you try to balance this system across teams or the lowest 'radiation' level in a group all you do is promote stompsquads bringing sandbaggers to pull down their level with naked-kit support classes

Normal gearscore has similar problems, but you've managed to do even less than gearscore because your system actively sabotages players that have escaped in default/shop kit while providing an exploitable out for pubstompers to avoid it (gear cycling/washing).
if you escape in default/shop kits I would expect you to have pick up other gear
as for the cycling, while possible, would be far less common
though this comes to where we have differing opinions

I don't think it should have any sort of gear segregation other than what players choose to do, it's why High Roller was such a celebrated concept because you chose to do more dangerous content for higher reward. It was a natural outcome of good incentives: If you want a challenge, or if you want higher reward, you willingly step up to the plate.
Now that GC/GCHR have utterly gutted lobby diversity, absurd lootbuffs have cranked the game to the point that an organized team can have multiple Epic pieces before ever hitting 10/15, and trading has become drastically more optimized it's no wonder that the only geared gameplay we're seeing is people 'punching down' into Low Roller. It's all they're incentivized to do, so why would they choose slower, more dangerous, and not particularly more rich lobbies?
The pubstomping problem is a bunch of other issues stacked on top of eachother, and I'm half tempted to get Kurt to write up another huge wall of text about it because GearScores are NOT the answer, and if the sources of the problem aren't adressed AND any sort of matchmaking/gearcap gets implemented you'll see lobbies get even more toxic/uninteractive.

Potions of Protections (Common) should be allowed in stash. Health, Clarity, and Invisibility can be stashed however the Protection isn't allowed to be. Makes no sense.

The Howling Crypts' circle needs to be at least 50% slower (or make final circle take 3x longer before instakill) because I can't tell you how many times my team hasn't had any pvp until final circle and we have no time to even loot or rez a teammate. I swear Ruins takes longer, or at least it's a smaller map but same time so it feels like there's way more time

Queuing in normal dungeons can be a problem for new comers when they are up against teams of players with full purple/leg. Adding the Zero to Hero mode would make the game much more enjoyable when the season has begun for sometime and make the game evergreen and not wipe waited/hyped:
Zero to Hero:
- The only mod available until lvl 5 (less ppl will quit the game), level 5 unlock normal games.
- You start with no gear, you may keep it all if you successfully extract.
- You still can sell your gear to vendor, bank it up or even trade it at lvl 10.
- Start with Ruins, then B1, then inferno. 15 mins each (to give plenty of time to loot / fight), 45 minutes total. The lower you go, the better the rewards ofc.
- Merge B1 and B2 from other games to fill. B1 with max 12 players, Inferno with max 9 players.
Normal games / high roller:
You may use your gear in bank
This will allow players who wanna start from scratch to do so and will not have to wait for the game to wipe. This will prevent over geared players to ruin the experience of players with starting gear and give a safe haven to new comers.

on one hand, I like buff duration being a personal stat as it makes it an important stat for most classes to have, not just for their own buffs but any buffs their team mates might apply on them
as for debuffs, reversing the dynamic of this stat would be extremely powerful for any affliction that deals damage, and given that those afflictions also scale with damage stats that would make DoTs much more oppressive
on the other hand, being able to build specifically for support would be nice, though support mechanics in the game are already extremely potent
It would definitely enhance your experience if icons would blink in yellow whenever a trade occurs while you're watching something else by alt-tabbing. this would allow you to stay updated on your trading activities without missing any opportunities.
For buff duration, you could either let both the stats of the caster and the target apply (with the base duration of buffs adjusted to reflect this) or you could take the average of both the caster's and the target's buff duration stats. One of these two should satisfy you as far as buff duration goes.
Debuff duration on the other hand could substract the target's debuff duration from the caster's debuff duration applying the result to the length of the debuff.
This would both keep the original purpose of the stats and also let players build specifically for support. Support mechanics are already potent, but with gear debuffs will fall off, some debuffs are already insanely short that it's a wonder they're used at all even before debuff reduction comes into play. We have cleanse that's supposed to clear debuffs but very little use for it in this manner because debuffs don't last that long.

I think there should be a listing feature added to the trade market that allows you to put items up for sale on a list without having to be there when it sells and if and when an item sells you will get a notification in lobby that a listing item has sold and then can go and collect said gold. I say this for a few reasons, 1. Sometimes I don't have all day to sit in the trade market trying to sell things, 2. This would help out with your stash being crowded until if and when being able to upgrade stash storage becomes a thing, and 3. This game is not made to provide an even playing field. Portals are made to split your party up, narrow corridors provide advantages to some classes over others. Being down a team mate or even being a solo or duo player in a 3s map isn't fair but it's glorious.
👎 Having to be there means people can't just dump stuff on the auction house and forget about it. if you have something worth selling you have hawk your goods. If you have better things to do you either sell cheap or come back later. This keeps the economy and inflation low. If something like what you describe is implemented, inflation would cause the economy to explode. Resellers and scalpers would also have an easier time than they should gaming the economy.

It is extremely frustrating, especially at low levels, that you have to buy your potions in advance rather than just be able to buy potions in the moment in order to have a stock, or if you run out of potions you have to wait Half an Hour in order to buy potions again or are forced to hit level 10 to then spend 15 extra gold on potions.
It feels horrible to go into a dungeon without any heals. Or come back from a loss streak and then try to buy potions only to see that you have to wait 30 minutes for it to restock.
The problem with that is players then bring 30 healing pots into a match.
Potions dont stack. And how does that prevent people who are gold horders or people who just get out casually to buy and stock potions every single 30 minutes or just trade chat spamming potions?
Regular players arent spending and bringing 180 gold worth of potions and 50 gold worth of bandages into a dungeon.
It's a significant enough problem that the devs felt they should nerf potions has a whole in the previous patch.
The nerf to potions wasnt because of how many of them people were bringing, it was because they would bring multiple potions of different qualities so that they can stack the different grade of heals to then heal to full within seconds.
Now it makes no sense to bring so many potions. Now you just bring in small batches of higher grade potions.
That's only part of the nerf. If that's so removing potion stacking would have fixed the problem. they also completely revamped potion and bandages over this.
This isn’t gameplay. Tarkov doesn’t have this problem, and they have an auction house style trade system

Doesn't really make a difference. The only problematic teamers are the ones that meet before they even que up.
Everyone else is still betraying and considering the actions of the moment before actually going through with the teaming.
It could work if after a certain period of time listings are taken down and the item is returned to the player like after 3 days and you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can list it again.
But if their main concern is pre game team up then turning voip off in lobby would fix their issue. In game ppl need to weigh the good and bad of teaming with a rando at the time and if they can trust someone. That shouldn’t be punishable since there’s no guarantee that you’ll escape or get betrayed. It’s more authentic
The lobby is not what they mean with pre game. Pre game is before you even press the start game button. It is pre que with your friends.
In the lobby you should already be matched with strangers.
Please Make a "Auction house" type place to sell stuff. I want to be able to just list an item and Wait for it to sell or for it to be able to sell while Im offline, would make trading/playin the game so much funner and Not have to spend 2+ hrs in the Trade post looking/debating for a piece of gear

Well you can’t do anything about it. Leaving and joining a lobby just to play solo with your friend and then spawning across the map from eachother. That again isn’t a guarantee to be with your friend or even spawn near eachother.
Maybe write script that would not allow friends to be in the same lobby when running solo. That would have to assume they add a friends list.

If you're going to spend 1250 gold on a chance to get good items you should have a chance to get them

Same with people buying they will pay 1250g for the key then they will tell you they will pay the remaining silver balance after the next trade then they will run as well and you got ripped off because gold keys are around 1500g+ now.

I don’t think I have seen a single suggestion suggesting to remove the ability to cheese enemies on the stairs… gotta add some new movement with the PvE every boss can be cheesed by a grey rondel dagger rogue. Should they be able to kill the boss? Absolutely! Should they be able to stand in one spot and left click for 30 seconds straight stabbing toes? No! It’s lame! And it turns these big awesome boss rooms into big open PVP spaces with 0 PvE interaction.

This is a you issue tbh. Barbs are pretty easy to bait whiffs, as a fighter you can look up and deflect their axe shots pretty easily. Barb is strong but it's not the strongest in solo (rogue or ranger takes that imo)

its not about experiance or skill, its 95% just gear. I can be the best pvp god but it doesnt matter when you get 1/2 tapped by blue and green man with jewelry and capes. I get the desire for pvp, if you really want that then just go naked and bum rush people while they are fighting their first room. But fees just brought way more geared people to the normal dungeon and not into HR. They could have fixed this with a simple gear check and waive the fee for geared players or teams, incentivizing them to wear some gear and go pvp, loot, or enter hell.
In my lobby you won't be survive 5 second, i don't want noobs against my enemies. This is my problem not yours. I want stronger eneimes against me to get better loot. Why would i spent few hours to get like few items since i can kill 1 person and get big items.

It’s pretty good. I think this in conjunction with gear limits in normals vs HR would be great, and go a long way to disrupt the Pareto Distribution that is really significant in the game right now.
I don't think the gear limits would be needed, there would be nothing to gain for any fully geared team going into normals, unless they came across other fully geared teams to take things from. Green only, Blues for killing the bosses. Or go highroller and get blues easily and possibly better gear. It would remove a lot of incentive to going normal. The a-holes would always do it but I would always prefer a method of discouragement to just outright prevention.

No what I mean is making it so you can’t equip blues and above outside of HR’s, or in Hell. As it stand now, streamers and the like can just go into normals in full blues and purples and there is usually only 1 team like that in a match. Mobs are normal, so they aren’t really a threat. So the only real risk is going red. Restricting gear in normals would put everyone on a more even playing field, and keep one team from dominating every lobby they go into.
I know what you mean, but at the moment there's a value in doing that from either fighting bosses or hell enemies, chests especially with luck+bad can get you purples EASY in normal, and there's no risk as mobs are easy like you say, and there are no teams that are a real threat. If you change loot pools so that there's blue max in normal, from bosses only really. There is nothing for them to gain, it would at least reduce the number of people doing it. I don't like the idea of GBMM or restrictions to gear, it should be a last resort if anything.

They would be able to get full green gear from normal without fighting bosses, bosses giving blue for those who put in the work without having to go HR for it, once you have some green sets going you can use them to progress into HR. There is also the trade available to acquire gear, making money might be more worthwhile as you would be able to sell more of the green equipment for more.

Can ironmace implement some sort of gear-score based MMR in normal dungeon lobbies? for obvious reasons this should not affect HR lobbies becaues that is the risk you take when you pay the ante. However it is so infuriating to watch a squad of 3 who are rocking full purple kits steamroll their way through a normal lobby filled with people who are trying to lvl alts/starting the game.
The problem i have with this is the game seems to be designed where skill can be offset by gear and at some point no amount of skill will be able to bridge the gap between fully geared teams who aren't there for any reason other than to descimate the lobby. HR lobbies are there for that exact reason. And with the reduced price of the ante a lot of undergeared players are going in. So as a long time player of this game I don't see why something like this has not been implemented yet.

yeah imo the real problem is just the amount of added damage, I have suggested before removing it from all pieces except weapon and jewelry. Because percentage scaling is much easier as it just leaves spells relatively the same in accordance with their base value

Well last night I came up behind a geared Rogue and smacked him 4-5 times in the back of the head with a Kris and rupture only for him to turn around and 2 shot me with his Kris. So while I appreciate your anecdote about how great you are at the game, yours is an atypical experience. If you go into a few lobbies and get killed right away so you can follow the geared players, you’re going to watch them stomp lobbies 9 times out of 10.

I agree. They have to be careful though. One slight overtune, and magic-damage classes & items become useless. Currently, they are definitely way too useful, at least with medium to chad gearsets. I find low gear magic to be tolerable at the moment

I think after you get passed a point in damage you need to get resis or hp. Any ranger trying to max their dps and have no resis or hp should get 2. shot killed.
this is a bad take. one of the advantages of drawing out a fight with a wizard is eventually they run out of spells. if they can spam fireball over and over again will be the most toxic atmosphere and everyone will run wizard fireball spam

Subclasses could work but might be complex to appease the diversity of weapons available. I think others have suggested a starter vendor with all the weapons based on your class. This is likely the easiest to implement. Much like the "service" option on certain merchants.

When the patch starts, you will not be able to login to the game and players in-game will not be able to enter the matchmaking pool during this time. Players in a match or in-game will have 30 minutes to complete the match and exit safely. The servers will return to full service 2 hours 3 hours after the start of the patch.
All character levels, items, gold, and skills have been reset. This first wipe occurred much sooner than we expected due to challenges we faced from exploiters. We have learned from this experience and have updated the game and our services to be more robust against these adversaries. In the future, it is our hope to have more time between the Early Access wipes and to give more ample notification.

Protection potions should block magic damage as well as physical
ALL keys should drop at significantly higher rates, people are only using them as stores of value now and not to actually open anything with because its not profitable in the slightest
Bards should not be able to open gold chests with their songs
All classes should default loadout include a health pot and a bandage
And still free HR entrance of course
Add Belts, different types determine set amount of slots where you can put additional utility items. theyll have armor rating like the capes, and stats to add determined by quality as well.
Add a golden bar for 100/200g that u can buy/sell on Treasurer and change it with people

The ROGUE Passive "-15% damage reduction when attacking" was broken 2 patches ago and now ONLY applies to dagger weapons - Please update the tooltip to reflect this if it was intended / add to your patch notes that you gutted this passive on purpose!
Try it yourself: Equip dagger + Thrust passive --> Swing weapon and watch the "Thrust" Buff appear + the -15% penetration ---> Now, repeat the same process with a rapier - you'll notice that it DOES NOT apply. I have shadowplay replays that show that this WAS working correctly at LEAST 2 patches ago and was either shadow nerfed or broken by accident!

if you can already kite mobs the ability to sprint wouldnt change anything in regards to mobs. the sprint in my mind would be dictated by stamina which in turn would be dictated by armor weight. this means that fighters in full plate armor cant sprint like a rogue/ranger/wizard (who need the ability to disengage) and classes like barbarian have a means to catch all the squishy classes

We are sprinting, our normal movement is us sprinting, if you press shift you start walking though
i feel like now that HR has a fee again that we will see more blue/purple geared palyers in low games again and i think thats ruining the fun IMO if you run into teams that you literally cant do anything against
i disagree. now that HR has a fee we will see less geared players in normal lobbies. the patches before proved that this was the case. you seldom had kitted teams running in normals because HR had a reason to pvp. you were almost guaranteed good gear off pvp kills. now you have so many nakeds running around in HR the consensus seems to be that you might as well steamroll a lobby of alts rather than risk losing your gear to a lobby full of nakeds
I honestly think that now more people (myself included) can see the value of running High Roller - as a rogue - I was able to profit about 250-300 a run - easily - 500-1000 with luck potion and some good sellables - I think we'll see MORE people running HR in general now because they've had a chance to dip their toes in and learn the map / mobs and how to profit!

way to many people have gearfear and dont want to take the extra risk of running into other high geared players, so i honestly think having a fee again, be it "only" 50g, will bring alot back into default lobbies with no/low geared players just to get the adrenalin rush of killing others even if the other people had 0 chance anyways. atleast that was my entire experience before the 0g fee was in the game. i ran into blue/purples almost every game in crypts OR they should add a hell queue for a fee instead of having HR have fee

Using "Creep" - If you test it with your buddies while not wearing shoes, you can literally be on top of them and they can't hear you! I feel like it's a pretty powerful passive choice at this point - though, I have a hard time giving up the "Thrust" -- "Dagger Mastery" combo (It still sounds like your feet are slappin to you, but not to anyone else!)
Ive never crashed on any map except for ruins. 3 crashes in the 5 games ive played on it. I have hundreds of hours logged in the game, and have played ruins in past playtests. I don't know what changes were made to it but something is bricking my PC whenever I attempt to play on it.

I'm glad they brought in the duos mode, but ruins needs to be fixed. It is in a sad state. Latency issues, game crashes, etc. The invisible walls is also a shitty addition.

Such a thing would be impossible to balance properly and there's numerous players out there that prefer to play in games with people that have better loot than them. They consider a challenge with a nice payout but also it's not the presence of better geared players but rather the density of them which could be solved by reducing the number of players back to what the maps originally allowed 9 for gobo caves and 16 for crypts/ruins.

It would be impossible to create a gear score system and balance so that it could be used in an effective MMR system. You're better off offering better incentives to players with good gear and also not making the maps so crowded with players that you keep tripping over over-geared players.
Oh no 100%, just saying not impossible, you just put points on different coloured gear then have a total and base the brackets of those totals, I'm not saying I'd want mmr match making I'm just saying it is possible

People are going to keep doing it regardless of whether or not hr is free. They just like to pub stomp for free with no consequences. IM seems pigheadedly opposed to gearscore, even if it would be a good temporary measure until they figured out something else
Should add in an in game fighting/practice ring. Where you and friends can go in and practice movement skills/fighting.

Consider that a higher colored item isn't necessarily better than a lower colored item, if the higher colored item has bad stats compared to the lower item that has good stats. For example such a system would rate an blue Armet (fighter only helmet) with an additional spell capacity bonus as better than a green Armet with an all attribute bonus. This means that not only would players want good gear, but they'd would only take gear with good stats for it's color, or they risk getting bumped up a bracket and having to fight players with better stats on their gear. lower tier gear with great stats for their tier would be worth more than higher quality gear with lower average stats.
Can we please get more altars in these maps ? its makes it so pointless to carry a heart, by the time I find an altar theres blue portals coming up and makes it pointless
I wouldn't wear a higher colour that doesn't have good stats so if you want to risk being bumped a teir for wearing shit rolls that's your own choice, that not a balance issue that a personal issue
Then there's items that are great for one class but ok on another, do you punish a player who takes in an item that's cool for their class but great for a different class? And it's not just higher colours with shit stats, but also higher colour with "ok" stats. Players will put tons of effort getting a character super lean for a given bracket and that's not something that's going to be good for the game or even provide the "even playing field" the MMR system proponents want.

I get it wouldn't be easy to implement and everyone will have an issue no matter the way it went I just don't believe it would be impossible, difficult 100% but not impossible, but I am more for what you were saying less crowded maps and more insetive for higher geared players to go else where, so if you want to fight a geared person you'd know where they generally go
It would be nice if they didn't remove the cost for hi roll AFTER the wipe because of exploiters on gold piles... only to turn around and add it back not even a week later. What were they even thinking doing that?? The market and people with high rolled gear is even worse than before the wipe....
That and less crowding on the map means if you play smart you can avoid the geared team and play around them.
Definitely if you make it a little easier to avoid ppl would be nice, not saying 100% guarantee but a decent chance
For balance reasons I don't think you could get extra stats from it, what I think you should get is the option to reset your character to level 1, but you either get to pick a subclass or the option to multiclass with another class you've also leveled to 20.

They just need to work on their report system in general, only options ATM are cheating or offensive name and that's only if you get to spectate them so if they seem sus but they kill you right at the end and use a portal there's no way to report them, no way to see last played with, other than your team mates
And even then you can't report last team mates, what if you played with a random and they started using cheats, like yeah you could get yourself killed and spectate them but no one wants to do that

Can we please get a gold bar that the trader sells for like 1250 gold that you can sell back to the trader at any time for 1000-1100 gold? A dedicated item for value storage would be infinitely better than using gold keys or something else. Either that or just expand the trade windows so i can do my trades in one go instead of having to research peoples actual twitter account to know if i can trust them with 2000+ gold trades.

There's going to be cheaters and exploiters regardless, I think the size of the problem needs to be weighed. They're already looking at banning cheaters and stuff through their own means.

Oh yeah you'll never get rid of all cheaters but to make it less and also not just for cheats, for things like toxicity, like yes there's a karma system but there's 0 punishment for it
having a starter dungeon with a timer would work wonders for protecting the new players as the game goes on

Punishment for the karma system is something that's player enforced. If you know you're dealing with a low karma individual you could refuse to trade with him or demand more advantageous prices. On top of refusing to group with him.
I always get killed by that class with that weapon even if I land a very successful parry, they are to fast and just run

Thing is, a lot of people are only occasionally offensive like when they're provoke or some other dumb stuff. Aside from illegal stuff I don't care if I don't have to be in their team.

Add a begginner pool till like level 5 where everyone you fight is level 5 and below.. once you hit 5 then you get thrown into the wolves den but at least would give new players a second to learn the game before full purp squads start wiping them.
