wiz does have the new starting staff
wizard had a huge buff 2 betas ago and people cried rivers and they got nerfed to stone. this is a welcome update
I'm convinced in the future Wizard would be able to go all lighting, all frost, all fire, etc...
they need to tune down the buffing and inviz stuff and focus more on the elemental spells
a ball of lightning trap would be neat

This is actually sorta what normal tabletop games sorta do, you know? You can make a blaster wizard or support sorcerer but normally Wizard is more supportive and Sorcerer has stuff that improves damage.

I don't get it, devs said no PvE mode and i admire them for that statement while people are complaining.

I have played every class extensively, my statements were based of of the suggestion of raising the pdr cap of fighters to 99%. my argument is that if you are able to be that much of a tank you should sacrifice self sustain and dmg output for it.

i dont want a PvE mode or offline mode. I wish there was a way for me and also my friends that i have cued up with can go into the starting lobby to practice some things and use the training dummys and targets that you have little to no time to get to before a round

Idk, bugged Longsword parry riposte damage still slaps, still get ruined by high gear rogues though. Idk, I disagree with some of your takes but at least you have the experience to back it up. Like clearing other players in time for boss means clearing every single room of rat rogues and wizards. Me and my group have been wiped too many times to completely silent players who didn't even bother to clear out pvp and just walked invisible across rooms slightly disturbing the mobs because they just got all the escape portals and we didn't even though we cleared the boss. I want to be rewarded for killing the boss without others contesting it, not punished. If I have to clear out PVP and PVE after killing a boss for a chance to get out, then what's the point of the gold pile, just bulldozer the boss and get ruined by grey gears trying to rat some blue purple equipment out of chests? I want to loot, not hunt people with nothing.

Riposte damage will oneshot everything that isn't a heavy fighter or a raging barbarian, even then you need 48 weapon damage to two tap a full golden barb with rage, yet, unless you're magic and can parry more than one or two arrows during a fight you'll probably just die off to most of your armor being ignored, specially now with the tiny projectile resistance and that you can't parry wiz frostbolts anymore for some goddam reason. Two handed fighter is in a horrible, horrible spot when geared, i play longsword pervert to farm but thats really the only place where its not a net loss over time.
have a perks that change how some weapons work would be a good mix up
also if you're losing a post boss fight to greys then thats on you, seriously, but HR crypts could very well improve by having a 3man blue portal at the end rather than the single's, same way ruins has it

We're not losing fights to these players, they're getting out of raid ASAP by hunting blue portals invisible and only taking free loot from chests. These players have a single trolls blood popped to tank storm and just loot side chests and avoid PVE. There is no fight to be had, they just take blue portals and leave, and if 3 or more do it? Your team doesn't get out.

yeah I am curious what the fix is for both. Would love to see all classes feel good. I played all the classes over the opening period and by far Barb felt the worst. Ranger felt the best, but Fighter felt the strongest.

I prefer built in less reduction to movement speed while attacking for all 2handed axes.
Typical 2hander Barb gameplay: you rage, you get close, you press left click and they run out of you range
Horseman's axe is absolute meta only cause they nerfed the shit out of every other Barb weapons

Consider voting on this suggestion please if you haven't already, in my view the main issue with spell scaling is the high amount of available added damage, because it applies multiple times to certain spells. It's the reason ignite can be so broken with a fast weapon and the reason Locust swarm was in the past for example.

This is a real issue for barbs, you either need movement buffs from a bard/wizard on top of your rage and get them backed into a corner or get the drop on them when they are stuck between you and mobs. This is why if i was running a 2h wep I started using bardiche. nowhere near the dmg output of axes but it has just a little extra range. running up with fists hit with achillis strike pull out bardiche and hack away.

yeah, never really looked into it though, that kind of stuff is morally questionable and probably a scam anyways
no, sniping means someone joins the game alongside you, naked, and repeat until they're in the same lobby, then they suicide and use spectate to give away positions to their premades to hunt down people, specially on caves where you get duos and trios doing that, whenever you kill a juiced player on caves its almost guaranteed that you'll get snipped next round

Well, IMO I would rather give them a chance at 1/10 spots than get rid of a tool that can almost guarantee catching a cheater when the occasion happens. But again, that is my opinion.

A fighter using a longbow is insanely strong, along with either using sprint and or second wind is a little too much, kind of how they made hand crossbows a perk for Rogues, making Weapon Mastery a skill even though its passive would give a contender for the two most used skills for fighters.
i doubt cheater reports are having a big impact right now, most of them will be clever enough not to snapshot people gets while invisible and shit not to get caught, and player recording is not a solution for hacking, i'm very sure they are working on a integrity check system and we might even get a better once once it goes back on steam
I have no personal experience since i dont really play goblin caves, but if spectating is being abused to snipe like that then something obviously need to change. I dont think the player pool is so small for goblin hr that they couldnt implement some form of antirematch.
Longbows get complained about a lot, so I have a feeling it has less to do with Weapon Mastery and more to do with the weapon itself

So what do you all think about the possibility of Barbarian getting like a better ranged option, something super simple/small but just enough to give them something. I don't think they need it but I also feel like a barbarian should at least be able to use like a smaller bow, maybe just the smallest one
honestly a fighter using a longbow is only strong if you have a low AR and not wearing some form of head protection. I think the biggest issue with this is when they are in a trio and have buffs attached. but regardless if you are at range you need to just break engagement and rotate.

it would make sniping far less potent while still allowing the full intended spectate mechanic
hell, if your team gets wiped this change could even allow you to spectate your own death, allowing you to learn even more or mayhaps if you are suspicious of the people who killed you, investigate what actually happened
15 is all stats just means it takes no penalty to anything, fighters are decent at interacting and shire usage, thats it really, they don't get any base damage skills, armor ignore, stat buffs nothing of the sort from perks aside a 10% AR which ammounts to 3,1% extra PDR if you have 317 AR already from armor

my dude, there is zero need to spectate HR, even a 60s delay can still give away people position because the maps are funnelled and there's only so many spots they can go in that time

True, but it still doesn't count out the fact that his versatility with a bow is insane, starting damage from range can go a long way. If wiz, fighter, bard, rogue, can all use either a bow or crossbow, why not give everyone the ability to in that case? There's a RANGER class yet all these classes can use his range.
barbs have 280-350hp whith both skills popped and still 30% PDR and 290 movespeed with the weapon away, a heavy agility fighter which is absurdly gear intensive gets at best 140hp and 270 move with the weapons away, 320 for very short bursts with sprint, rangers are high mobility and once geared you can slap down a trap in 0.67seconds, its literally impossible to catch if you don't have a xbow to stagger

Bards can't use bows, are you insane, the can use xbows, and wizards got a dozen spells. There is a fighter CLASS that fights, yet, every class can use melee weapons??????????

Thats a dumb response honestly, the point here is ranged damage, having range damage is insanely strong. We're not talking about when they're up fighting close, we're talking ranged versatility. Also bards can use survival bow if you didn't know.
Does kinda suck though, the ruins hoard was actually really fun and the key was incredibly rare so it felt like a good reward after grinding the worm for such a long time.
yeah, rangers are the master of ranged weapons, noone can deal as much damage or fire as fast as they can, what even is your point.

and rangers can sacrifice a perk to use spears, if you find yourself in a posititon where a enemy fighter is using a longbow etc and you cannot push without taking a few hits then disingage. I cannot tell you how many times i have ran away through the swarm to avoid taking on that very situation.
and what even is the point you're making? that people are able to fight rangers? do you want every class to be immobile and infinitely kiteable by not having any ranged weapons?

I am aware of this, I do this all the time. IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO STAY ALIVE VS RANGE WEPS if you are not a class who can use range.
My point is that fighters get the versatility of using a strong ranged weapon while also being strong up close. MAKE WEAPON MASTERY A SKILL, we all know second wind is insanely strong in a fight.
those players are bad ones, its not worth for them because they keep dying, HR is the one place to make money and the peeps scared of losing there keep going normals to farm timmys out of being too scared or too bad to fight nightmare mobs

You realize if you have a good aim with either a crossbow or longbow you can do insanely high dmg as fighter ranged. THE AMOUNT OF TIMES MY BUDDY HAS OUT DAMAGED A RANGER AS A FIGHTER IS INSANE. HE WAS DOING 140's to the head with a crossbow. RECOVERING FROM A BOLT TO THE HEAD AS ANY CLASS SETS YOU BACK IN TERMS OF FIGHTING CHANCE AND HEAL ECONOMY>
stop with these allcaps, you aren't a 12yo in 2008, plus, a geared fighter will obviously outtrade a grey ranger with a bit of luck, but thats just a gear problem, if both are on equal terms its not doable unless the ranger has a skill issue, you won't be getting hit by xbows bolts with that projectile speed, its so goddam slow that i got a good 80% longsword parry on those given more than some 8 steps of distance

counters to ranged weapons.... wiz frostbolt/fireball, fighter xbow/others with perk, warlock phantomise to a better position to poke with hellfires/curses, ranger.. obvios, bard xbows/movement songs, barb sol/tank it to the face, cleric buff and scoot, rogue hide and relocate. and in all cases disingage if at a disavantage.... and to be honest at the end of the day it doesnt matter how much dmg they do if they cant land their shots

yes there are counters, but nothing beats the speed of a bow or xbow, initial ranged starting damage is huge when heal economy isn't exactly speedy.

Warlock requires a Generic, Dark Damage, Projectile.
Effectively, 2 talents are pretty much useless because they don't deal dark damage.
Maybe a long range eldritch blast that has A small knockback effect.
2 of their spells see virtually no use to the point of completely removing them from their spell bars. Many people options to not even use spells on a warlock. It isnt nailing the hybrid magic/melee concept what was originally being aimed for

I would suggest removing the ability for achilles strike on the barbarian to be triggered by ranged weapons like throwing axes. IMO way too strong at this time when you have to stop running from a barb because you take damage every step. mobility is literally the only counter to a barb

Their movement is too fast. They open doors too fast. Double jump. No cooldown when switching from hands to dagger. They can become invisible for ages and they can move while invisible. + They can wear crossbows. And they only need one dagger for 50gold to kill non-tanky classes in just 2 hits

Played a lot during last wipe as warlock and It felt really fun.... But the biggest spell of their kit could be cooler.
I'm curious on anyone's opinion for a change I thought would make warlock more fun while still slightly "balanced". Hellfire is a amazing ability when the enemy is about to charge in at you, but it is easily played around.
Warlock has a ability called "Soul Collector". My idea is, what if the perk instead gave hellfire travelling speed. The increasing amounts of speed could be based on "X" souls collected and could be capped. Once the warlock has cast the hellfire, the souls will all be expended. A example of what the scaling could look like would be :
-- Hellfire SoulCharged speed : 2/3/4/5.5 --
The charges are used upon use of the ability "hellfire" while also having the supported perk.

I would like to make a suggestion in the possible far far far distant future. A randomly generated weapon and armor character run that is on a timer that would allow people to enter with some different gear with no risk. It would be on a static character so you would not level up your personal character of that class but get to keep what loot you find in the dungeon. Like SCAV's in Escape from Tarkov. It is almost impossible for a solo to make it out alive. How hard would it be to make the game that you are loaded in to be separated by groups size? Like load in 6 groups of 3, or 9 groups of 2, or 18 solo players. Is that a doable thing?

welcome buddy, you'll do it eventually. My first time back from break it took me 5-10 attempts before I eventually got out, and man it felt so good. The struggle makes the success so much more savory

An auction house would be bad for the game. It would allow too easy access to gear looted from the game which would pile up much faster than currently. The game would become flooded with gear overtime much like late wipe tarkov. Also, this would eventually turn the game into a free for all with extra steps. Loot would become meaningless as the auction house gets flooded and the gameplay loop would become buy gear -> pvp just like mid to late wipe tarkov. Finding good loot would no longer be a challenge or rewarding. This would also ruin the experience of the trader type players and the ability to barter for gear. It would also allow too easy access to meta gear sets causing much much more of a problem with overgeared players bullying lower geared players. Right now the trade chat forces you to take what you can get and increases the value of gear all around through the simple virtue of it being less easy to obtain. It also increases the variety of gear being worn since you can only get what someone is sitting there and selling at the moment. The trade chat is the best thing for the game.
It can be improved though, through better filtering and a better interaction system. Maybe even adding void to trades.
imo the auction house would be a great addition, but along with it a GREAT reduction in loot
Reducing loot wouldn't solve the issue. It would just make it take slightly longer at the cost of making the game less fun since you would find loot far less often

Trade chat actually solves the issue at its core because the gear you can get is hard limited at any given point in time by the availability of the actual person trading it. Trading person to person only is a must to solve this issue
Making a better ui and filter for the trade chat would solve many people's issues. Right now it is difficult to read or click on people in the chat, if a ui that made it easier to see what people are saying in the chat and to initiate trade with them, it would be far better.

That would be a better solution than an auctionhouse since it wouldn't negatively affect the game, but there are many people who actually enjoy person to person bartering. I don't think removing their fun experience in the game is necessary. Even still though I think merchants should be changed. They refresh far too slow. I hate having to wait to buy pots and selling grey and white gear really shouldn't sell for nothing. I also think silver coins should just be removed from the game, they take up space and loot tables.

He's a mob u need to kill to gain access to Fire Pirate class. the king summon 3 skeleton every 1 minute and so u need to kill fast and he has stun and crit chance. when u kill him once he revives into King of the Skeleton Pirates and you need to kill again. then next time you play u unlock special champion.

You have fire magic abilities and if u die, u become a skeleton pirate. ur abilities change to melee when u respaawn and u have lower health because u are skeleton. also skeletons dont attack u when u respawnd.

I main solo cleric on crypts, you can literally sit in the swarm until the last 3 minutes rn, idk if it's a bug, but the swarm gives you grey health to recover.
because when I spectate these groups they go around and only kill people even when they're Stash in their inventory is full and when they're done they go to blue portals I've seen it again and again and I've talked to other people who've seen that happen to them too this is a problem and acting like this is not a problem and coming up with the excuse that is part the game or that people need to get good that is not Gonna Cut it it's happen to you too but you probably also done it yourself it's fun to do it's not fun to happen to yourself and that's why it's not healthy for the game it would be healthy if you felt like you had a chance of winning but when they're such a little chance because you go into the game with the starter items because you have no gold in your inventory and you go against someone with legendary gear or purple or even blue and you get your ass kicked that does not feel fun and when that keeps happening because there's no matchmaking that's gonna kill the game .and can you just imagine if when you go into a game of counter strike there were no matchmaking in ranked so you had a chance of going against the elite well you had nothing this is basically what is happening right now

If I get chased by geared players, I run into the swarm, I rarely get chased. Those geared players usually cherish their kits. Practice looting the edge of the maps if you have trouble making out with gold.
Ive (intentionally) died immediately to spectate. Ive seen people whose sole goal is to just kill people. They didnt loot anything. Just run to kill, run to next kill, get out.

If you get matched based on your gear then you have almost no chance to get upgrades, cause grey play vs grey, green vs green, blue vs blue, etc... That makes no sense
The biggest issue is that people are having problems actually getting started at the beginning of the wipe because those that got 1-3 hours of time before them hit lvl 10, have a full kit of +3 AA Blues (rings, necklace, the works) and are just killing people to kill people in Goblins. Not looting people. Just trying to keep others down.

I agree that it's difficult, but half the players in goblin caves can make it out if they rat hard enough even against geared players. And the crypts is even higher, I think like 10-12 escape portals spawn on both floors combined. The learning curve is steep, but rewarding.
gear is what determines 50% of the fight. There is only so much you can do to out-skill and out maneuver others when they are wearing gear 3 tiers above yours with stats you cannot compare to, especially with the most recent AA change

these are the IDEAL situations. No one is fighting in those. Fighters with +15AA and sprinting can close the distance faster than you can run. This extends to bard/wizard as well. You are either being willfully ignorant or just ignoring the issue.

If the fighter is in full plate, hes gonna be 15-20% slower than you, 15 agility only gives 15 move speed.
You set up your ideal situation, or you're given an inopportune one. Not every game is gonna go well, but setting yourself up for success is key. Knowing map layouts, spawns, high population areas of conflict. It all factors into chance of success.
Like he said, you have to know how to rat. Know the popular rooms, avoid them, constantly listen and keep your exit open.
I played this game for a while I'm not the best I'm not the best building I have run in a full plate and full perk build my movement speed which sought and shield is 265 and when I click on my queue I move at 304 meaning I am running faster with my cube ability then a rogue when out his tools out and that's just with green items
I've never had an issue hearing... ever... very very rarely have I ever been surprised by a team whether I'm ratting or not

I play solo cleric on crypts, I've been chased down by rangers and wizard barb buff balls, and each time it was a learning experience. Not a crux

Gear scaling is an issue. Simple as. I think that, instead of reverting spell changes, they should have nerfed physical to match. Just to see what a highter ttk will feel like.

Yeah a lot of people say they're against a repair/durability system, but this would damper the problem of geared to the teeth players in non high roller. Just make degradation 2-3x faster in normal lobbies. You wanna terrorize the Timmys? It's gonna cost you 50-100 gold a run if you're wearing purples.

I think arrows are fine usually u can dodge them by circling but bolas it doesn't matter you get hit, then on top of that its poisoned so you basically die if you aren't a cleric or fighter

I suggested before we should have a newbie friendly map, that you only find grey, and white gear, unless you fight the community boss, something for newer players to allow them to full send it. Call it the dragons den, with a community loot pile after the boss dies. But the loot can't be better than blue.

We just had an entire conversation with people who were upset about geared players terrorizing newbies. This map is centered around community gameplay, where the only way to get good loot is fight a boss. My idea is that the boss is in a broken center room, and other each of the players only have access to a rubbled corner. Not much player to player interaction. Mainly PVE focused.
It's insane how many Rogues play Goblin Caves dual wielding base daggers
Think of the mummy room with a chest in the center, players enter from all sides, but fight a boss and loot a pile. There will still be PVP at the end, but lower risk, if the players don't commune together and fight the boss, they make our with grey and white treasures/gear only.
Loot is very easy to get, the main issue IMO for newbs is there is no way to practice or get better without actually fighting mobs and PvP in the dungeon, which has extremely low room for error (thus making it really hard to practice)

If it's anything like the Cycle, such a map meant for newer players will become the de-facto hotspot for highly geared PvP because it's so easy to find the other players

Personally i am against noob built maps, they make you feel strong and makes you think you are good at the game but at some point you hit a wall and the fun stops

What might be cool for a HR dungeon is what is being proposed for a newb dungeon honestly. A boss room in the middle of the map that requires at least 9 people to stand on pressure plates to open or something, so you just can't get in without grouping with two other teams. Then of course, you'll all fight over the loot either before or after handling the boss... I'd expect garunteed purps and golds in such a room though

Potentially unpopular opinion: I think every class should be able to use every weapon and armor (excluding maybe the spellbook), they just have different aptitudes for specific weapons that they would be better at using (Rangers shoot faster and do more damage with a bow for example), then to keep fighters as jack of all trades just give them a better aptitude for a wider range of weapons than any other class. Thoughts?
I have a feeling that the reason you can currently get equipment with inherently useless stats (like an Armet with Magic Damage % bonus) is because you'll be able to use the class system, when it comes out, to get some "cross-class" abilities

It's easier to balance classes by adjusting the weapons they can use and what those weapons do based off the class... like certain daggers and such. Longsword comes into mind as well. If every class was able to use every weapon, it'd be pretty hard to balance. That's my 2 cents

i think the devs should make out of raid healing a thing where you need to heal once you leave a raid (persistent universe anyone?) and the trader restock should be changed from daily to weekly. the game is too easy as it is right now even given the healing nerfs. also healing potions should be changed from 45 seconds to 5 minutes

I was thinking he would not be like normal classes but instead have only 4 limited spells.
His first spell is hellfire. It is an AOE that only deals damage to creatures 3 units away from his front and only at a 45 degree angle so its not a full circle aoe. It deals low damage but causes havoc on enemies which makes them have a worse aim on spells and arrows.
His second spell is fire emblem. He surround himself in fire and it acts like half shield. He becomes fully immune to fire damage and takes half damage on other attacks except water and the other half is taken by shield.
His third spell is fire from above. U cast aoe on ground and after 2 sec it stuns.
Fourth spell is firey lob
U throw random weapon from inventory with fire and it deals throw damage plus fire
Also u cant use weapons. Only wearing armor.
When u revive as skeletin u lose all armor already but u can wear weapon. So becareful not to throw all ur weapons!
When ur skeleton u have spell for crit chance.
Another spell for lifesteal
And 1 more spell is single target stun
U dont have 4 ability because revive is an ability
If you're talking about something like Tarkov, I disagree, that shit is both annoying and a money sink for no reason. It'd basically make potions and bandages a rare commodity. At that point, just remove them from the game. It'd also make cleric dependence even worse.
Yeah that's the whole idea of proficincies tho. A Barbarian would suck with bows because they would do much less damage and be slower to shoot. This is how it is in DND actually and it's what this game is loosely based off of.
Does sound pretty broken being able to poke and run over and over. It's a tough call but maybe you can specify that poison and armor pen only affect weapons you have a proficiency with.

If you close a door and move out of view they repath to their original area within a few seconds. I'm pretty sure it depends on if the ai can see you and/or has a path to reach you.

lowkey I've been getting destroyed by rangers this wipe as a rogue. They bow me until I'm close then use a spear that can two hit me and its fucked because they have more health and are comparible in speed and interaction speed.

If we're talking proficiencies that wouldn't be bad... This does, however, reward people that play the game very often with specific weapons. Something something gripe about high geared/high level players (would be the same conversation)
As in, high tier, high geared folks with proficiency to meta weapons for that class would punish people who arent.

We make it so not all arrows are 100% hit. It depends in ur position. If ur aiming head, its higher pecent. If ur on highground, its higher percent.
To get 100% u need headshot and high ground and crouch.
U get penalty for every advantage u lack.

I think warlock needs at least 3 more skills and 3 more Perks before druid gets added this class does not feel complete at all. Hellfire is too slow to do any meaningful dmg to players and the curses are okay but nothing seems good about the class besides melee and there isn't much support for that.

I have the Fix for Bard. Just make them equip the intruments in there weapon slots. so they cant AoE/Melee/Range instantly. No class can do all of that and have it hot keyed equiped.

The Bard is for sure required if you want an endgame team comp. Really creating a Meta. Why I say they need to only be able to equip music items in there weapons slots. It would slow down there versatility. Or they need to have a spell count for there music. Music sheets of some sort. Wizard can clear mobs but he has to meditate in some form to reload. Bard is just freely clearing unlimited. He can Hot key Support/AoE/Melee/Range. Limiting him to a hand crossbow would also tone him down. This would slow the progression of dungeon clearing instead of pigeon holing all the other teams without a bard. Slow clearing, while the bard team just power through the dungeon.

Barbarians running as fast as a ranger while holding a horsemen axe and the ranger has fists makes no sense.
He was able to not only run as fast but catch up and kill me, no buffs other than the barbarian ones.
There was no skill counterplay i could do at all.

yes, it's quite powerful because the arrows slow them down and it stacks with the perk so you are basically immobilized
assuming one uses that perk they should need to shoot and it slows for a short time, to maintain shooting and running the slow down would need to be higher, the barbarian would catch up and win, especially if they are on your ass already, u cant even shoot or you will die even quicker since bows slow us down to turtle speed

In my experience, the only people defending rangers are ranger mains, ive played all classes and can confirm, rangers are the equivalent of selecting easy mode

As ive stated, i can agree that a longbow should be nerfed or removed, but that's it.

Rangers got a max range nerf and a 52 pickup minigame, they're overtuned. They nerfed the class by making them tedious to play. That's it.

XD This rogue is a noob who knows nothing - A real rogue player would never try face fight ppl - Only keep distance shooting crossbow and throwing knifes untill ppl dies, only if he "had to" you face fight since u are a ROGUE and pretty much a 1 shot no matter how much hp u has since "Headshot is double damage" and thus fast can lead to 100+200 damage. If guy had an actually brain and used it correctly guy would keep his distance and survive way more than going around showing off like a newbie or for content video and face tanking everyone. Just sayin.
rogue can also do that dmg, and he even stabs faster + armor pen perk + dagger dmg and weak point ๐
Then u not use rapier if u has dagger perks, im not saying rogues can't do dmg but they have to kinda use all perks which benefits from dmg and armor pen to kill any good player, also rogues are pretty much a 1 hit = dead, if no gear, rogues is trash class but i main rogue and thus i know the truth. You can't really face fight any class what so ever if u not want to die, but u can also be kind of OP with the use of distance and crossbow/thowing knifes. At least it's way better than to use hide in most of situations you will meet in-game and thus u will run weakpoint/caltrops or like this instead.

I think devs shadow buffed percentages around the board to see if the GBMM suggestion stayed in conversation following gear being readily available to most-all players and to see how quickly post-wipe the problem of geared players running no-antes would arise. They're gathering data to see what they think will be necessary. If people still complain with higher drop rates, then it's legitimately a problem for the growth of the game in two ways - one being HR doesn't have enough incentive to warrant running, and the second being veteran/geared players gatekeeping new player progression by griefing them in no-ante runs.

Just one of many trap rework suggestions. It wasn't enough to remove the skill check, and fix the bug of being able to place it on arrows. The root needs to be removed in order for the trap to be justified in the game. Default rangers get two free chances at 100% killing any level of geared opponent, by waiting for the circle to close and placing them on monster corpses.
If I were to estimate the amount of gold in gear sets I've lost to traps placed on monster corpses, just this playtest it would be nearing 10k. On that note, I'm a pretty decent player. I can confirm that ranger traps are unfair, unbalanced, and impossible to play around(again, monster corpses).

One thing has been bothering me. The Rogue's own poisons are magical attacks. How come there is no separate poison damage status effect in Dark and Darker? Would make sense to have different status effects for certain abilities like Rupture dealing poison damage over time that bypasses PDR and MDR.

Legit the only way to keep veteran/fully geared players from griefing new players is to implement GBMM in some form. Either if >/= blue average gear score, then HR lock, or putting all the griefers against each other in GBMM no-ante lobbies.

Nerf fighter. No class should be able to do everything. They run fast wearing full plate having incredible damage mitigation, heal, do damage with ranged and melee, it's too much. They run faster than cloth wearer and it doesn't make sense.

I'd like the idea of having a rarity block for the Lower levels. It's not needed but It is kind of annoying when theres a legit high roller level right there to use and people come in full purple rarity in the place that new recruits can spawn and try to learn the game.
I agree itโs bad having geared players with new players however I feel like a rarity lock would not be enough I think a better solution would be to give the geared players a bigger reason to play high roller or something as even if you restrict goblin caves to much you also could then get loot in the dungeon you would not be able to wear

The best I've found in normal raids is a purple every now and then, but the oranges and alot more purps and blues predominantly spawn in high rollers or off of bosses.. personally ive seen more people just go in fully decked out to wipe lobbies than to loot.
I've watched 6 people in solos and trios just dunk on someone then not even loot them because they are full purple, then leave after they wipe.
Like i said it's not a needes feature, but it would def help cater to newer players vs players with no life..

No class should be able to kill everyone with one ability, from the other side of a room, barring the two classes that can wear plate armor. Brotha you need to learn how to wait until they ab to shoot and step left or right, bow and xbow skeles will always aim for your head. The bow skele however when it does its double shot aims head then chest. Goofy ass skill issue to complain about

Crossbow skeleton can reliably be baited to waste his shot into a corner or obstacle.
Even if you are on a poor connection and have zero sense of movement against tracking or predictive dodging, you can force him to reload safely if you just take your time and learn the dungeon.
Crossbow skele is literally the least threatening monster in the game so long you know it's there. Strafe until it shoots, whack it a couple times in the head, done and dead. If you get tapped by it, not knowing it's there.. well.. now you know and maybe next time you will remember that.

With plate and a 2h they're the only class that can hit the move speed minimum when doing actions
IDK how much slower you can make them without making PvE impossible for them
ranged skellies are only a problem when they fire at you from certain close distances. just feels like if you're too close to them the arrow will hit you from impossible angles. origin point of the arrow probably isnt where it actually is on the skeleton model.

The falchion was popular because it scaled well against default kits and LR PvE, and horizontal swings were easy for new players to use. The weapon previously did zero damage on sourspot hit and was still popular-- anyone thinking it was because it was 'best in slot' was misinformed at best.
The weapon was only superior to its peers for low gear farming and for trading a combo out of block, and after the nerf shaved a full rarity of scaling off the weapon it's no longer competitive with an equivalent Arming Sword or Rapier, which have objectively superior DPS and kill profiles while having miles better movesets, reach, and penalties.
