Monks are European though. Ever heard of Christian monasteries?
not really the kind of monk most people think of when they talk about fantasy game classes
Also when was this said to be strictly european?
lol they're going for the usual D&D monk if they can find a way to make kicking not look jank from what i took away from what sdf said
True, Christian monks are almost all pacifists. Also in medieval Europe a wizard would be hunted and burned alive.
Literally different classes
otherwise i assume they'll adapt the pugilist fighter variant
Why are we talking about europe
guys look, sneak peak of the next class https://media.tenor.com/lw73j16fHwQAAAAM/wololo-age-of-empires.gif
scroll up
I just want to be an oath breaker paladin, so I can murder you.
I am now blue
I've replied to the first thing talking about europe
I'm more asking, since when is this game based on europe
oh you meant in general
if there is a set bonus I hope it gives my character larger pants.
Well I'd hate to use buzzwords, so I'm just not going to say anything else about it
Set bonuses are too Diablo imo
2 pieces of set = pants are somewhat bulging, 3 pieces of set = its noticeable, 5 pieces of set = my god my man, how are you today?
this game isn't realistic, we're not remaking what monk means in the fantasy genre
I thought a monk was a cleric.
?
think more like a xiaolin monk
Varys is a monk. he has a pouch to prove it.
When dark and darker talks about monk, we mean monk in a dungeons and dragon sense
a monk is a class
I think monks should look like Varys.
Okay
Do you know who Varys is?
Nope, never watched GoT

Wishing Well
The wishing well would be something you can throw items into that exists in the menu (like where the Trading Post and Merchants are), there is 2 leaderboards for worth thrown into the well being a permanent one that shows who has thrown the most into the well and a weekly resetting one. Each Week on Sunday, everyone in the Top 500 are granted 1 wish with the options being;
-Increase the roll on an affix to Max.
-Increase the rarity on 1 item by 1 stage (existing modifiers are kept but it will gain the correct amount of modifiers for the next stage).
-Get 1 Unique Item of your choice.
-Get a large sum of Adventure Points.
The overall goal of this is a generic item sink that people will actually want to use.

Ok can't figure out how to embed messages, but a wishing well would be kinda sick the way this user talks about it being implemented seems kinda shit imo.
Would rather see it as a in dungeon addition where you can bring in gold and throw it into it for either a buff or debuff. [specific quest / test your luck for loot, rouglike style]
if something like that were to be added, I would rather it work more like a "lottery" so everyone has a chance to win, rather than the top 500 or whatever
an in-dungeon option is fun too
yeah, would be cool if its rng based if the water is filled you can toss gold into it to test your luck
when it does something the well drains and something happens
it would probably replace one of the shrine spawns that are already in the dungeon
add gold into item slot which can be thrown
I'd say it's an underwhelming feature the developers shouldn't waste time on, but they did add in support for inverted xy axis
options are never underwhelming
it could spit out different things depending on what you throw in, like a surg kit or campfire for a health potion
the more options game have the better
That could work, putting more roguelike elements like that would be nice for the game since its a dungeon crawler
would add onto the game knowledge part of the game which i know devs have talked about being something they would like players to use to their advantage
So you want Snuggly the crow from Dark Souls
who
Not a fan of rng reward concepts further then ai drop chance.
Some games are terrible about it too, rng chance to find mob, rng chance to get the lewt, rng chance to craft the item, rng chance to upgrade. oh god, no. rng chance to throw failed attempt into the well...
I dont think it'd be that deep, chuck in a thing, it spits out a thing, well consumed
i doubt it'd be a main way to get items, would be nice too see more things that you can do inside of the dungeon[does not need to be a item source, can be buffs aswell]
fun little gamble in the middle of a raid, more interesting than a 30 sec speed buff imo
I would be okay with it being a way to gain favor with one of the merchant, but remove all the rng fro mit.
since they seem to be adding tarkov quests, getting more stuff to mess about with is easily gonna make some nice starter quests, the alchemist asks you to collect the water for example
Tbf looting in this game feels worse then getting a random buff / item when it comes to rng
looting can*
when it comes from something you did go out of your way to do
I'm not a gear head, I prefer to where it has its benefits but having a perfect set of perfectly stat gear kinda unrealistic.
i was more thinking about finding 6 nightcaps and metal boots before you find a dagger that is gray
finding something worth while is rng
dont have much issue getting good gear when you're not picky about it.
easily trade unusable blues for ones that are for my class.
Say I trade for a "bad" set of resource gear with interaction speed.
well i stick it in bank, and i use that "bad" piece with a full set of it, and its actually damn good.
Just silly wording, dun hurt yourself
I mean im not going for bis, or additional true phy.
dont need that crap to kill someone who's wearing it, mainly that you're using your strengths to your adv.
I do somewant wish that bis bonus's were more honed toward more specific benefits.
I'd be fine with that, I do think it should be weighted more towards people who donated more to the well though but could be anyone who donated to the well that week
My reasoning for it was to get people to dump items out of the game extremely fast
to keep the worth of items from falling apart
gold sinks are always a good idea
A good gold sink would be combining a stack of three health potions to get a green one but at a huge cost
And so on at least at people can get a small benefit using gold
i like that idea
Gold sink isn't really what would be needed too much, like it's still needed but Item skins would be the real important part.
gold sinks are more of post release suggestion imo
Is there a reason Zauns Timebomb's suggestion is visible in #1048762118255673428 ? Is it because a Dev pinned it?
Probably glitched
Thats so weird because they posted it 3 weeks ago and it only just now glitched.
Maybe the bot had a stroke and we're watching it slowly die
why didnt anyone like my duck and ducker skin idea?
too off topic for this game
Almost all suggestions that demands in-game skins have been downvoted. For good reason too.....Its just not that kind of game pal.
honestly, i dont want ANY skin to be suggested. im not against skins, but id love to see what the developers put through, not the players.
Unfortunately this server suggestion tab just aint the place for that...for some reason.... -_-
yeah, just sucks that 95% of all suggestions seem to be troll suggestions or children
or people that havent watched any QnAs, havent read dev blogs, or... havent even played the game
The devs know that dude, I seriously doubt that any of them actually read it all atm and even if they do they have shown they have a clear vision and make good decisions, I have faith, as should we all
oh yeah, ofc. i dont think for a second that the devs take half of them seriously.
that still doesnt change the fact that its annoying
Yeah I hear that, just need to take satisfaction in the fact that their terrible suggestions won't ever see the light of day 😂

I would like for magic items to be more like Dungeon and Dragons and less like Diablo.
Getting a rare longsword that deals an extra five damage and raises your will by two is boring compared to getting a Flametongue which is a rare longsword that can light itself on fire to deal +5 fire damage and emits light like a torch. Even if there are better longswords in the epic, legendary, and unique tiers you could kit out your 3 man team of fighters with Flametongues to look and feel like bamfs in the dungeon.
Wonderous Magic Items as well. I'd like to see Decanters of Endless Water you put in your 3 or 4 slot to blast a target with water and knock them back. Driftglobes and Immovable Rods would be great adds too.
Dungeons and Dragons has items like Headband of Intellect and Gauntlets of Ogre Strength so you'll still have items for stat boosting. I just don't want to be looking up TTK spreadsheets and doing algebra to have fun.
Also spellcasters are always going to be considered overpowered so you should add consumable scrolls that anyone can use.

Judge me
nah
makes the game feel like every other fantasy, tho legendary weapons with cool names is a good idea, and wizard already has a flame sword ability kinda. and i think legendary weapons shold be way better
so i like the idea but not the flaming sword
too fantasylike
It's a fantasy game...
just a bit too much
Legendary weapons probably would be better. I gave that as example (meaning it's not my actual suggestion) of a rare (that means blue) longsword
i mean if the flame sword is really really rare, then maybe
but i would like to see "lore weapons", would be cool
Already got a game like that. It's called Diablo
dnd doesnt have to be diablo or dungeons and dragons, even if it is based of of it. but i get what you are going for.

I see your point too. I'd like cool stuff to be more commonplace
so you have more fun shenanigans
i think the opposite, its okay as long as they are not everywhere because it makes them less special
I was thinking the actual strength of the bonuses should go up with rarity
the legendary items rn arent that special, so yes
maybe like more damage to hellish creatures, undead, lifesteal(not too much), more damage when in a dark(or)light room. etc
But that's just boring numbers stuff
@gloomy cradle How do i upvote more than once?
An example of a Legendary weapon from Dungeons and Dragons would be a Hammer of Thunderbolts. A legendary maul which you can throw at a target and releases a thunderclap that stuns everything in a area around the target when it hits.
Everything else about is numbers stuff, like increased strength and damge, chance to insta-kill giants. Funny enough it doesn't return to you after you throw it, which is something I would normally expect
-> vertical (big numbers go POW) is cheap to implement; likely scales easily via whatever's already been added to the game
-> horizontal (outright new power scales / capabilities) adds boatloads of depth; gets complex fast, expensive (way more coding/QC, likely harder to iterate off of); can be harder to properly control max/min edge cases
thank god for hierarchal states
the flaming sword was already a dungeons and dragons weapon, likely the most iconic one, and dungeons and dragons was what this was based off of.
i would LOVE that weapon in game, tbh. as a 2h fighter weapons, or a 1h wizard sword
If it's only legendary or unique I feel the intimidation factor would be too strong though. If they were more common I'd be less likely to run away if I saw someone with one.
...
? It references a style of building in coding.
We already got the animation/mechanics for it (basically) in the form of ignited longswords.
Oh right. My bad, context lol.
I was like "spiegel"? maybe the pfp is a closeup on smeagal from LOTR or something. BAM nope its a flaming farting skeleton.
Yea, they were talking about the difficulty of code and I tl;dr'd it because instead of it being a series of computations happening at the source of the damage, you can parse the amount of math being done via hierarchy. Say only do true false for hit detection at the character and deal with the math as a component somewhere else that talks to the appropriate objects for whatever functions because division of labor is easier when done via "states"
divide and funnel
yeah, the difference is the prestige of such a weapon. its cool, and it can do something different mechanically than ignite does
spiegel just means mirror in german
Oh so its a batman thing? got it
never watched
seen clips of the 90s batman movie ages ago but no, its a reference to a personality type
You named yourself mirror because you fear them. Mirrors are the source of your trauma.
Thats what I was referencing.
Believable.
been suggsted a bunch of times but I won't hold that against you
Great minds think alike.
The set pieces for armor should be menial stats by themselves and only after being completed will they have that substantial stat boost guys
Nah, I want 95% damage reduction and 200% damage increase otherwise the gear is too weak.
set bonuses that add stat bonuses alone are kind of boring
unique effects is the interesting stuff
Idk why you would want set bonuses in a game like this tbh
Every piece should feel special no?
2set bonuses would be nice, like a dagger pair
ring pair, ect.
5 piece sets, for a full set of armour is meh. its fine if its a mid tier set to get someone going
If you create 6 piece sets for whatever it will streamline gear hunting
yeah
i dont really like those much, they have to be ok at best. better and its pretty crap.
diablo 3 is likely the best example of them being bad. they are so build defining, and so strong that they limit each class to 2-3 builds.
Like certain items work more with certain weapons maybe
yeah, uniques that create new playstyles i think is the most exciting stuff
Like a heavy armor makes you more a tank when combined with a slow hitting axe something like that
Idk
not just stats, an effect that changes something to be used differently
I wonder if the barb is a one trick pony or not against anyone who is decent at the game
barbs seem far too slow to be good
Why would a class that goes around without a chest by default have the slowest swinging weapons in the game that feels weird
also has the heaviest weapons.
Honestly fighter sounds like it'd be the better barb weapon class tbh
Like long weapons which require finesse and are slow but incredible range
i agree. barb is just a worse fighter imo.
barb has WAY better starting gear, likely the best in the game
but thats all
and that falls off in the first room when you pick something up
Maybe they could do things that bring them more in line some how but I don't see it
Their passives are good
Honestly being barb is my favorite regulardless smash is the most fun skill in the game to me
they definitely need adjusting
@deep harness good suggestion
i hope they get the run and smash playstyle to work
I wonder if the game will get to the point where movement speed is going to be capped somehow
That stat is honestly bonkers
really, the ms on gear just needs to be nerfed.
be nice if the stat per piece was capped at removing the negative the piece gives though
This game feels like it's going to end up like smash bros in a sense where anyone slow is literally going to be a sitting duck
thats basically most games, lol
It doesn't matter if you have damage and could literally one hit and be a walking tank
If everyone can run in circles around you can give you a million paper cuts
theres merit to it, if you're in a group though
Like supports in mobas
But then they'd have to be able to do stuff to effect the enemy team while being slow
Just being able to stand there isn't good enough
basically. my reccomendation is bolas
we definitely need more throwables. oil (+fire), grease, poison, ect
I like that they're good already though
Honestly probably a few more skills
Average kits should probably be four skills
4 might be too much. im very in favour of 3. 1 class skill (rogue stealth, casters casting, ect), 1 utility, 1 damage
I think it would be better if there were multiple places to chose from
If it were three of the current skills that exist for each class the game wouldn't improve
they'll add more skills as they go along
I do think this game would benefit a lot of they had a slot that was slower and you really had to be careful with using
Not as game changingly powerful as an ult though
Campfires feel horrible ngl personally
I don't feel like I'm getting anything out of it when I do campfire but then again it's not like I'm a team of three because then the effects are there times as potent
i feel like they are pretty great in my 2
All the healing items I use feel weak but obviously you don't want something that can really fuck up on person combat
By letting someone heal in battle a ton of someone isn't literally on top of them smacking them
I wasn't very good last time but I only played like 60 hrs or something maybe I'll be better this time
healing in the game is pretty great. healing items were weak, but hp is extremely strong
its already pretty strong to use a hp pot before fighting. if it were much stronger, you'd get into situations where without a cleric, people feel like a damage sponge.
i used to take 9 bandages most raids, and spam them
I saw videos where people were using walls to bandage in front of people
So I wouldn't want that or healing pots that significantly make the battles change but I struggle with being healthy before battle
thnx wasn't just my idea but I did believe it was needed
-> vertical (boring rng numbers on your rng stats on your rng quality weapon that has rng chance to drop snooze fest) is low effort, low hype, saves time, reduces production costs
-> horizontal (actually cool stuff like flaming swords) is high effort, high hype, sells more copies, creates pride in your work, keeps players coming back for more
-> truth is all ways of making magic items is a combination of vertical and horizontal so might as well do whatever is fun
the set bonuses could have unique effects thats the whole point lmao
also builds are already limited as of the 2nd alpha PT
so whats the difference really
set bonuses are almost always a trap. You get this bonus for using these bad items together, but the bonus makes them actually viable
My main point with the set bonuses is to allow classes to have enhanced roles and be even better at doing what they are supposed to do, just with the spice of farming and
rng/luck
exactly give players something to play for
thats worth playing for
**
They should make the items less bad. Adding a version of the item with set bonuses in order to balance that item just leaves all other versions of that item bad
I would love to see some weapon skins like the licht's for unique items i.e weapons, that players are allowed to use
ideally these items would be completely separate from the other armor types, different in their design, synergy, and play style
im thinking more of a unique class of armor
That only drops from boss loot or extremely low chance from the gold hoard loot
I like the random buffs on items. Let's you better stack for playstyle or strategy
usually those buffs do not even help like having magic resist on rogue charms
thats why i suggested the "dice" but it was not well received by our community lol
Well magic resist is awesome for a fighter so is agility. Most of the times rogue charms go on my fighter
and you would be smart for doing so
But you're never really stacking for playstyle or strategy. You're always stacking for TTK. Any stat that doesn't improve is just wasted and makes the item disappointing.
^ i agree
All stats improve something if you just lean into that one stat you see a huge difference
Sure, but some improve things that don't help you kill people faster or keep you alive longer. Especially since we have different classes that need different stats.
Why though, when you could use all potential slots to enhance the character as a whole instead of focusing on one only
Then shoot for plus all attributes and all your gear
But a full strength build rogue is dirty and a full magic resist fighter is even better
The problem isn't your end state. The problem is all the 'garbage' items you threw away along the way.
^^ due to unusable stats
No magic item should be disappointing, unless it's cursed. But curses are exciting and eventful, and even if you're mad now you get a story to share later.
hoefully the cursed items come in soon
That's when the monetary system comes in sell it or dont pick it up
Even though I'm a wizard and can't use this flaming sword I found, I know someone will want it and can at least sell it. The same could not be said of the Longsword with +2 knowledge that any class that needs knowledge can't even use
All classes benefit from will. It gives you magic resistance
A fighter should love to find one
Do you want me to spend 5 minutes looking a useless stat for fighters to put there? Because I could but won't.
As a rogue I'd go with strength if you get enough you can have over 150HP doing almost 200dmg to the back of the head
Which is great for 2set and stuff but 5 sets... the problem with that is that getting 5 rare bits for a set thats potentially build defining... not a good idea
yeah the high end rouge builds nutty
i just want to be able to grind something
people are okay with the ruby silver armor
There I replaced 'will' with 'knowledge' it is now a fitting example
Rogue builds are literally just getting +damage on everything
grinding is boring. It's especially bad in a game where you lose everything when you die.
And movement speed
so then why having mining in the game
?
Grinding is fine when it enhances between game options.
Mining was terrible last test, but quests will be good
ok drunken magi nice edit, anyways, i personally understand your point, listen. If a new class came out that used x stat on y weapon, then ur issue is gone. It would be foolish of them to have in stat generating code a check for relevant stats on item generation because it inhibits future features and we are in playtesting. Why nitpick this at all
how does it not enhance the game from a player POV
The ruby silver grind was dumb IMO I wont be messing with it if it's in this go around
idk ask the devs. more stuff to sell?
dude the whole point of mining so far is to build tanky af armor
Enhancing between game, meaning quests, and enhancing shops and stuff. Getting extra options that make you better without your possessions
but its amazing armor
And having bad stats is both fine and w.e, u will die and lose it, big whoop
especially for barb and fighter
Mining was terrible. Just farm gold and buy gear, far quicker, far easier
wts
25
EA
It was I really liked it but good lord it was boring doing it and tbh I could have just bought a set in the time it took me to mine
but those of us who are willing to go the extra mile should be allowed to
its definitely in its infancy
Gold farm and buy the ore you can play the game and wear the gear too
Im not saying it shouldnt exist. It was just bad. Going the extra mile for the same gear is stupid
true and thats okay
Only if they force the routes to be near areas of pvp, I dont want it to detract from the purpose of the game - ruining other people's time.
its not the same though
oh I see. It basically just makes purple armor
Crafting will be better though, just needs work.
It makes purple armor with a higher chance at the 4-6 stat cap rolls
low roll being 1-2 med 3-4 high 5-6
No, its not the same. Mining is rng. Buying, you get exactly what you want, likely for less grind.
and it has a higher stat adder cap
Mining is straight up worse
yeah, its cool, but for those who enjoyed it should ask for improvement, it is bad, agreed
So like some purple items might have only 3 modifiers
thats why theres high roller and "unranked" play to filter the sweaty peeps from normies
They just need to tweak the grind slightly i feel like crafting will be good just needs work
ruby silver had 4 iirc

Thoughts on that Goblin Statue idea? It popped in my head this morning when talking with my brother. I think it could be good but needs refining
exactly
in that case, thats cool. for now this is easier for them.
i think goblin anything would be great in this game
goblin deez nutz
honestly. Mining isn't that bad of grind. If I was completely against grinding I wouldn't play video games. I was imagining grinding for a full set of legendary items with all the stats I want. F that
obviously there would be other armor with better base stats, i wouldnt want that either
and you could get a 70cc item for just about 750 gold ez instead of having to face multi k per piece?
it just wasn't worth the time, i could make way more money than the value of the ore in half time easily
and with the people who were farming gold key room
ore was pretty hard to find ngl and even worse to make it out with it
and less hassle
ore was always in the same spots
Even still, it wasn't the full implement of the system.
Yes, they were, and when I did my first piece - I stopped.
I thought about buying the rest
its still alpha so im sure the devs got a ways to go
I bought the next piece and understood the average prices
Even tried to talk people into selling it to me for cheaper because they were wasting their time
so much easier to farm mummies for cc and gems
we are our own merchants
and then snowball
I was able to grin a full set and a second plate and helm
Nice, I went and played the game mostly.
nah gold key was the fastest farm
^
Yeah I was playing minecraft
didnt discover gold key till the end
I found it a few times but never attempted gold key room this go around. I was in starter gear when I went to HR
Yeah buts it's all you need in HR if you play rogue
my crutch was armor pen/phys dmg% windlass
I go into HR in starter to maximize my loot potential and lower my risk
True
I'm color blind, I only see
must throw my gear in the poison pit
and be shot down by archers i cant reach

The only way to go
whats this?
backstabs me?
I'll bring gear to HR when they dial down the loot
Until then I only bring gear when I have a full team
ik ik just throwing my opinion out there. If you don't tell anyone what you want you can't complain later.
I'd bring gear in more if the trading system was more compartmentalized
Its a PT so I dont want to sit in menu looking at trade forever
we should be out there smacking each other
I heard they bringing an AH, hopefully next PT
AH is needed addition, but it does lose player interaction
Tavern upgrades could make up 4 that, or you physically need to go to the auction house with a crowd of players around it 🤷🏻
Makes the game seem more lively
I'd rather have flaming swords, but I won't say no to more content
I like the idea of bringing gold into the dungeon to potentially get more loot or items, but ir should not replace regular looting. #d-and-d-suggestions message
Player interaction, lol. Exchanging goods and saying ty isnt valuable interaction.
I feel like it is not as much of a risk compared to reward as the suggester thought, if it is really risky I would like the idea
Even more than 25 like 50
flamethrower for mages ? im a rogue main but could be fun see it
Only if its interrupted on hit, or at least a good chance for it

what do u think?
I actually don't even know what this suggestion is suggesting lol
dumb
otto already exists
In regards to the launch being paid this is definitely a fair thing they’ve created something special that could last a long af time becoming possibly the new face of the extraction shooter genre whilst still being challenging it’s a lot more simplistic with its own twist that makes it generalkt a fun adventure anyone can get into
The game being free could lend to a situation like tf2 or apex where regardless of the several problems of both games they’re still pretty good not worth buying but hell they’re free and dark n darker beinf all it is and on top of that being free lead to a massive fuck off esplosion concerninf its player count that went to such an extent the servers shit themselves
ALTHOUGH there’s to take into consideration dark and darker is an inde game they need the money
That and micro transactions within the game (whilst not a bad idea by any means to some extent) would make it annoying
They deserve a trillion gillion dolors
I honestly don’t care what the game is priced it’s not my game lol
I am curious tho how that might effect player counts in the long run
That being said while being a paid game and being shit to both run and play Tarkov has a fuckton of players
Likely cause there isn’t anything like it until now that being dark n darker being both a whole new twist on the genre with a few of its own quirks making it refreshing in that sense but also in the fact it’s actually consistently fun
You could argue that Marauders exists but like it’s a little too much like Tarkov to some extent amongst a myriad of other issues that I don’t know the half of cause personally I haven’t even played the game I’ve just watched people playing it a lot I have played Tarkov tho (fuckinf sucked) it had its moments but Jesus Christ it’s like eatinf a cake with nails like it’s cake but who the fucj put all these nails in it
Honestly idk what the issue with marauders is it’s player counts have only gotten smaller and it seems like a neat game
Something funny tho that I’ve noticed about all the cool funny new extraction shooters is they’re all unfinished
Like none of them are done
Marauders is in early acaess, escape from Tarkov is held together with glue and duct tape, and this game has only come out in play tests
@gusty timber tarkov only really started to get attention in 2020 kicking off the genre and it takes a long time to finish a game
yeah the big boys are dipping their toes, but the genre is always going to be niche imo
Battle state games has made several games before and they’ve gotten a lot of funny money but work still takes time
so idk if we'll ever get a true AAA game
I feel like it’s a sort of branch off of the battle Royal phase
But ya know eith actual creativity thrown into the mix
HSHSJSJ
Actually that’s a lie
Kinda
Eft predates fortnite battle Royal
Although not pubg
Wich had been around for a while
For the better
The market is oversaturated with a monopoly of silly dudes all making the same stuff
They have so much control over the market they don’t have to invest any capital on the actual product for it to sell well so we just get alot of the same stuff over and over and over again
they make things that are proven, less risk since they throw in a ton of money.
but they need huge audiences too, don't think extraction games will ever have massive audiences. They're too "hardcore"
That’s what I mean tho
Dark and darker is a hell of a lot more simplistic
It’s a lot easier to get into
It took me like two weeks to not die instantly in eft and even still in shit and don’t understand half of what’s going on or who shot me even
Meanwhile dark and darker is only out for three days and I feel like I’m actually playing the game
Like I’m engaging in stuff and learning
Meanwhile Tarkovs learning curve is so steep you need mountain climbing equipment to play
yeah EFT is extremely complex for the sake of it
Y e a
I’ve seen people shooting sks and akms the recoil is no where near that absurd
they just had a patch that improved that quite a bit
The complexity is nice sometimes by all means but jfc…
like yesterday
Oh dam i didn’t check
honestly I wrote off this patch but BSG may have actually gotten their shit together lol
Still haven’t touched that game much especially since they accidentally buffed the livin shit out of scavs on accident
I didn’t think I’d get one taped by a toz whearing a level five helmet but dam they managed
It’s still absurd to run
The past few years it’s been odd
Just a bunch of ups n downs but who knows
yeah it's been a while since I've sunk a lot of time into it. Dark and darker has been a whole lot more fun for me personally
and some of my friends that I could never convince to play EFT have enjoyed DaD
I see the bot didn’t like anything you were saying lol
😂😂
YEG
I will keep that in mind bdjdnw
I said something else then thought “ah that’s fair I’ll do somthing else” but then that was also flagged so I tried tapping into my crossword brain parts to think of words that might be fine
EFT was already playable pretty much the same time as PUBG release idk what u smoking. Pretty confident that Tarkov inspiration came from the previous title that the team came from.
Probably yeah
Horrid stuff I live in Florida
Oh, im sorry to hear that, carry on, you are doing great all things considered
The weed is laced with the drinking water that shit is horrid
yep a paracord and a red rebel is a good start (wink wink)
I dont like tarkov casue I got shot.
at least with dad I get a proper jump scare before I get rekt.
windlass crossbow with high armor pen and phys damage
you just die
no foreplay like with the rogue
no wondering if the felling axe will 1 tap you either
I got hit with a 160 damage crossbow and was at half hp.
Its because I play cleric.
thats pretty bad damage for a crossbow lol
No it aint.
Bruh we are not even talking about the same game. People have 80-100 hp on average
THE BEST crossbow I saw did 180 and thats including all the + damage bonuses. It was a legendary windless crossbow.
So the great thing about building properly is with bonus physical % modifiers on things that already have a flat damage modifier over 100, is that when the % modis stack, you can go way past that small number
I spent good money and time building as best I could for some of my kits and nobody was safe from me
headshots were 250-270
You do realize that the average damage for an epic tier crossbow is 60 right?
You can go do the builds yourself
Thats not my point. You said 160 was LOW damage for a crossbow, in a build or not. You are not playing the same game as me.
For windlass
This is a straight up troll post. Convince me otherwise please.
If we're talking about a good build for a windlass, 160 is low
How the hell is a 1 shot to anyone that isnt either in full blue/purple gear or a barbarian in whites/greens not a good build?
160 is almost the cap. Please show proof of that not being the case. I dont believe you.
and I aint talking about headshots, I mean the listed damage on the weapons stats
lets say all pieces have bonus phys damage of at least 3-4%, 9 pieces total because secondary doesnt count, 36% would be the best you could get from one modifier, plus the other stats amping your damage on the critical past the initial 120 ~ so lets say its flat modis then % on top, which would be 36% of your number which was 160
whats 36% of 160 added onto itself reaver
54+160 reaver
what is it
Lmao you got 36% bonus which is something that literally no one can consistently equip and call all other builds trash
I never called anyones build trash
Whether you do 180 damage to someone or 200 it makes little difference other than one costing 500g and the other 5000g
Paraphrase.
I still see no proof
No body is roaming around in the dungeons with this build and saying "huh only 160 damage on a crossbow, weak"
most players failed miserably, i also offered you math, math doesnt exist on emotions, it exists on facts
have a good night
we're done talking now
Here is some math for ya. Place every buff on yourself the game allows and get the highest possible rolls on every unqiue item in the game. Your build is now "low tier"
The calculations never stop scaling!
@forest briar What’s the appeal with a pve only mode?
Surely you could just go play vermintide?
This game doesn’t have super deep combat, and satisfying pve. It would be a lot of development time for quite a small amount of people.
Diablo is fun too.
yea but dark and darker is a new game and already has better pve then both of those games
Its a minority, people that are not good enough to win against other players.
You’re saying basic swinging is better than games with fully fleshed out combat and loot systems….sure….
You think because it’s a new game they should just use resources to develop a pve mode?
A lot goes on behind the scenes, messing up slightly means death.
I mean it’s not dark souls, you step to the right or backwards.
But yes the combat right now isnt nearly as complex as other combat systems but its a big part of why its so approachable to the masses.
no but it is a suggestion and just like all of you i can have my own opinions
The combat and movement systems aren’t incredibly thorough.
Right, and this is the suggestion discussion channel….
my only real reason for suggesting a pve only is because not everyone likes pvp
@white cliff same one from osrs?
I like medieval games, therefore call of duty shouldn’t have guns. Not every game needs to not have, or have certain things that other games have.
Osrs?
oldschool runescape, use to see person with that twitch name in few channles didnt know if same person
Ah, no.
gotcha
92 hatch with h22a swap
ty ty my friend has very similar color coupe with k24 swap
it was a suggestion my dude calm down what are you the thought police
that photos like shit 9 yrs od lol
My guy, it’s a suggestion discussion channel. Are you confused where you are…?
Very cool.
if they make a pve only it diminishes the factor of getting gear from pvp ones, and if they offered better for pvp ones then youd have the pve people crying
simply dont let them bring gear over
? so 2 sep games basically?
I just don’t think it’s worth the development resources to make an entire pve mode with servers, that divides the community. I’m not even for multiple queue systems.
^ exactly like if it somehow gets a huge playerbase with like 50k-100k+ concurrent players always then id could see solo/duo ques and such but for now shouldnt be divided
yea but pve might bring in more player who might not wanna fight other players
but thats not the game they created again it makes a huge divide, u cant trade between each playerbase its basically 2 games. again i could maybe see it if it gets a huge following but until then who knows
also at that point what is the point of playing an mmo for just pve?
this style anyway
how will know if it will do well if they dont try
again it makes a huge divide into a game thats not even complete yet. thats a big reason id say there not doing it. again if this somehow got a huge following like i said with 50-100k concurrent im sure theyd ask or poll and see if people wanted that
but asking for 2 separate games while theyre working on 1 id say wont happen
im biased because ive always loved pvp, but imo with no pvp in this game how it was just off last playtest (sure stuff will change) a pve only version would get very boring and non threatening quick
my guy the game itself dosn't even have 50-100k how the heck is it gonna get a following
? wehat do u mean... word of mouth they literally spent $600 on pr and got this far
HUGE name streamers playing their playtest and loving it
penguinz0/ asmongold/xqc/sodapoppin and very many more
i never said word of mouth dude dont put shit in my mouth
u just asked me how are they going to get a following and i said word of mouth..........
lol?
have you never heard of advertising
omg... i give up bro gl ❤️
The percentage of people that play pvp games but don't like pvp is very low so it's alot to ask for to appease a very small minority which is not how you make a good game unfortunately
Compared to other pve games, like Diablo it wouldn’t because of the lack of combat systems and interesting gameplay. The whole thing is loot risk. Imagine a pve mode, that you get to keep every single piece of loot each time. You would maybe like 20 runs before peaking?
Then what would be the point in playing.
It would just be a waste of development resources.
That’s not how you make sound business decisions.
not a business decision but a suggestion
Your suggestion is intact a business decision if they choose to make it.
Hence why we suggest it.
I mean, those players could also go play Skyrim
This game would be DOA as a PVE game, would be like PVE Hunt Showdown or Tarkov lol
There are games with way more content & stories etc for those looking for PvE
Heck, Elden Ring
Can agree. And to even try adding a PVE version would be a waste of time
@clear fox Dont worry ill stand by you.
Thank you my sweet. At least someone understands me ❤️
Cheesing bosses left a bad taste in my mouth.
I agree as well. Too many people just run past mobs looking for PvP
When I fought the wraight like a man and kited all its attacks thats when it felt like I earned the loot.
exactly, there's no fun in a fight with 0 challenge. If you cheese the pve you might as well be downloading hacks
Thats one way to put it.
Maybe it's a little harsh but that's how I see it
imagine playing elden ring but all the bosses were easily defeated with some silly cheesy trick like standing on a torch and shooting a bow
pretty interesting lykos
people will downvote changes for QoL because it would "make the game easier"
en masse
idk where you get the perception that you'll be downvoted for wanting the game more difficult
unless the general opinion has radically shifted in here over the last 2 weeks
They won’t vote it because a lot of people die to pve. It’s not really QoL related?
I mean in the past
I've seen many arguments where one person suggests a QoL change or something similar and the response is "you just want the game to be easier"
and the suggestion gets -20 votes
I can’t generalize you’d have to give me specific examples.
I personaly do not understand why ppl dont want popping up numbers on enemys and allys tbh
my own suggestion to make it so the hitboxes on certain moves are more accurate to the animation, so that dodging them would feel less like a gamble
or literally any time someone suggests damage numbers
It is very valuable information to decide to take or disengage a fight
Oh yeah, you’re that person huh.
I mean we are in a game that contains ghosts and walking skelis with a mage in it
Where is the realism in that
It has a lot to do with challenge factor, not knowing exact health and damage.
challenge due to withheld information can be done well
but it's hard to argue for it in a pvp setting
It’s the realism inside the universe, it’s an extract looter with fantasy themes. You suspend your disbelief to be inside this universe, it’s not realistic in a literal sense as in our world. Numbers would make the game feel more cartoony.
if they added damage numbers to pvp only I'd be happy because that's the place where it truly matters
Why would such a mechanic degrees the challenge?
it doesn't
What.
people will figure out the numbers eventually
How…
Like its just a number you can just uncheck the box in the options you dont need to take it
How do you calculate based on your own weapons and armor versus someone you’re hitting?
The armor is different per player every time.
let me explain once my pc loads up discord and I can actually type
You could never judge "i just need 2 hits more to kill him"
You don’t need to, you wouldn’t be able to figure out numbers in the current state with varied numbers and random armor states of enemies?
Also because you never realy can judge where you hit them so you might have hit hit toe which Deals -20 dmg compared to the torso
Adding the dmg numbers would be just a very nice change specialy since its already in the game
so ultimately leo is correct
you cannot make informed decisions in a system which hides information from you, you can only guess, or assume based on the worst possible scenario
this doesn't increase difficulty, it just means you have to gamble, which is nowhere near as satisfying in the long-term of a game's lifespan
BUT, even if they added damage numbers, it wouldn't matter (at least with the game's current systems)
With the dummys
because you cannot know how much STR or HP someone is stacking
if a fighter has 100 HP and I do 35 damage per swing, I kill in 3 hits
but if they stacked enough HP to get more than 105 HP, then I kill in 4
so even with damage numbers, nothing changes
I’m saying the argument was for realism, you where the one saying people could figure it out.
the realism argument has its own problem
Yeah, but it reduces the likelyhood of any random number fuxking up you calculatiob
I would use numbers, you asked what the argument against them would be.
oh, no
I know the arguments, I was bringing up the difficulty thing
as for realism, it's a futile argument, because in time, immersion fades
no matter what game you play, you will eventually see past the curtain and understand it as a set of mechanics
I mean you can litterly make dark and darker to light and lighter with gamma so
the era of exploration and immersion is a magical one, and one where people can have the most fun with a game, and I appreciate the effort of trying to prolong that
but
it will fade no matter what
Immersion is a relic and a believe that you should not count on
if you play a game for 300 hours, you're not going to be immersed anymore
no matter what steps are taken to preserve it
The only game I can think of that shows numbers is TF2, and fortnite. Which are both genuinely cartoony.
I can’t think of any games that use PBR textures on unreal that do.
Doesnt matter if they are catoony
That’s the argument for realism, it shifts the vibe of the game.
the big argument for numbers is variable damage
makes sense in TF2 when there's spread weapons and splash damage, so you need to know the exact roll you got
makes sense in Dark and Darker because you want to know how much your damage has changed by if you put on new gear
not necessary in, say, Counterstrike
where each weapon has a specific amount of damage it does at each range
people can memorize that, and it never changes
Also to how to understand how hitboxes work for example rogues backstab
CS gives you a log of damage hits in console though.
yeah definitely important for hit registration too
Dark souls shows damage
mordhau does
I forget if for honor does
It doesnt
many fighting games do, most "arcade shooters" do
Showing damage with health bars, and showing damage numbers are different things.
But ppl can judge by the health bars
mordhau shows numbers, but everyone has 100 hp
I also don’t think enemy health bars would fit the style either.
dark souls shows both
but it doesn't show the "total" hp
oh yeah, I mean
think of most RPGs
think of D&D itself
you know your damage roll, but you never know the enemy's max hp unless you looked it up or tested it
it works well in PvE to create tension
Or you got an ability to analyze it
you gotta play every turn like it won't be the last
damage numbers are a very interesting game design aspect to think about in terms of how it bolsters/hinders gameplay and in what contexts
It works in PvP the same way though. It makes you cautious of situations. With numbers I’d be able to gauge fights a lot better, especially with a ranged weapon.
I'd argue differently with PvP
yes, it creates caution, but you also can't guarantee anything with other players, and it's often better to try and 'level the playing field' as much as possible
PvP is at its best when it encourages informed decisionmaking between both sides
if neither player knows how much HP the other has, or how much damage they themselves are doing, it becomes actual guesswork
there are several instances in just the last playtest alone where I swore I had the upper hand
opponent retreating, I headshot them 4 times with an axe
they kill me, and I see their HP afterwards, and it's only at about 60%
did I hit them? did hit registration work? were they using strong armor? were they cheating?
how am I supposed to know?
there's no feedback mechanism and that's very counter to a good pvp experience
with damage numbers, it'd be much more fair, but it'd still be flawed because of HP stacking
better than no numbers at all
(of course if they did add damage numbers, I'd prefer it be a toggle, set to "off" by default, to preserve the immersion and exploration phase for new players and players who value immersion)
you should know if and where you are hitting them. if you headshot them 4 times with an axe, they would not be at 60%.
that's my point, really
I don't know I headshot them 4 times, I just assumed I did because it looked like it on my screen
but I don't know if any of those hits registered, if all of them were headshots, or how much damage any of them did
I can't know if they were healing from a potion they drank earlier, or had some insane defense values, or if the hits simply didn't register because of a bug
(if such a bug existed, lack of damage numbers would make such a bug near-impossible to detect and research, for another thing)
suggestions bot broken?
For me dmg numbers would be a very skill rewarding mechanic which barely has any downsides beside "BUT MAH IMMERSION....noooo.." which i find is a very poor point
I feel like that's too much information to have at your disposal
Why would deny information? Like why? Why would you hide information that could be usefull? Your statement feels to me like " Dude iam to lazy to do math while fights, i just want to smack" which is fine you know, but adding information never hurst
ehh shit like that usually just leads to 3rd party addons
Or dataminers
It's just really annoying, why would you wanna play a guessing game to see what does a certain amount of damage
No that's just not a good thing to have In a hardcore pvp experience. If you cant get kills just practice more
lol
i mean might as well check every player stat then, max hp move speed mr armor, all those are guessing game too lol
I just don't see a good reason for it in a serious pvp game like this
Displaying dmg numbers on players or just in generell
Ohhhh
I basicly said that i dont see any reason to not do it besides the poor point "maaaah immersion "
It changes how someone fights entirely
Because if it leads to 3rd Party Systems it is good, since third party systems usualy improve player expierence
Yeah it is up to the user to use them. Which is total fine
Aye yall check the general chat
Well they choose to be kokkor
When people see lower numbers than usual on enemies they hit, then the assumption is that they have gear making people play differently
They might aswell use it aswell
Also there are plenty ways to detect 3rd party software which will get people banned
also shows when you hit or miss
Yes exactly linsung more intelegent play instead of random brawls
maybe not big deal as melee but ranged way different
Exactly kokkor also hitting diffrent bodyparts does diffrent dmg
The audio should tell you if you hit or not even with a bow
You don't need that sort of information in a game like this, especially when solo's go up against teams, comes down to communication and awareness
Just become another boring numbers meta game, we have enough of them already
Awareness is a big part of PvP experience
less info more fun
So you tell me you can keep track of every hp of your enemys?
Relatively
If you don't know where you hit someone then you need some motor skills training
Less info the less fun iam allowed to have
This guy has 0 awareness clearly
Because you have to actually think? Or?
Sorry this isn't Fortnite
there should just be a big red bar on top of every player !
The point is, if you dont get proper information to play with it is pointless to make the effort to think in the first place
lmao
Just hit
The information is there if you actually look for it
Why dont we just add a health bar above everything's head and a bar showing you all active buffs
No not realy
Lol I can't even 😂 pointless to even try, says alot
You seem to shift to the emotional part of a discussion so at this point there is no reason to argue
That would be awsome just a screen full of health bars and flying numbers
@jolly moon Why was your suggestion downvoted so much? What did you do?
I’d agree that there should a training room but that’s more quality of life to see the difference in damage but what a waste of time for a dev to put damage numbers in the main game. It’s a hardcore PvP…
Is adding flavor to the kill feed not something the community likes?
Why should you be spoon fed for not wanting to make an effort lol
you should also be able to see people through walls! because less info less fun!
Clearly immersion isnt a factor you look at.
You see, you are just beeing a kid now. Which is not through puberty
Go play fortnut
He made a good point though. Your statement has faulty logic.
Immersion should never be an Argument
But...why?
Everyone has predator vision and dragon ball z scouters
Since it is a thing you cant rely on to last. In a game where you can make dark and darker to Light and lighter with changing your gamma immersion is hard to take serious as argument
What? You mean the complete immerse dungeon game you been playing listening to the sound of footsteps if it’s people, skeletons or you just hearing something
Of course you need to do that 😂
Yeah immersion such a silly argument….
Also thanks for moderating my comment even though these ppl started making fun of me mods. Great work!
You literally promoted the use of third party software, stop trying to play victim lol
Also if you honestly were upping the light on your computer to play im lost for words xD
Immersion in a fantasy game? Impossible never been done
I mean what do you have against 3rd party Systems? They usual improve player expierence, logicly hacks should not be allowed
yea I loved 3rd party software last playtest so fun to play against machine gun rangers! 👍
Yeah but you see, ppl actualy do that. I personaly dont do that but it is very much possible
Too much improvement kills games as some players want everything streamlined to the point it’s boring. Happens all the time in MMOs and a lot of people on this discord know that the game is meant to be hardcore
Why do you need an advantage other players don't have? Especially when they want to port to console, what are console players supposed to do against third party software, just accept they are at a disadvantage? It's bad for games and only unskilled people need them
Learn the game, I played cleric and had two builds in the end. A massive Will based for team play and a lot of damage reduction and then a strength/knowledge build so I could go more into the fray
Some games just aren't for everyone
Well you could just say yes, they made the choice to play on a platform that doesnt Support 3rd party systems... but i get your point in that regard the game itself should look AT these 3rd party softwares and try to introduce them into the game itself
That's one of the dumbest things I've read in a while, good luck with the new Fortnite season 👌
Like the best example in this case realy is WoW. In very much cases WoW added features that only were optainable through a 3rd party system
Because they understood these features improve player experience
Fortnight battle pass, I just shit out my ass
Nobody wants 360 no scopes 😭
Why would you it is the worst? I think the worst example would be ff14 which completly kills improvements
The reason WoW allowed it is because they didn't build any proper mechanics in the game to help the player at all making addons a requirement
Yeah but thats not the point linsung
They literally started building their raids around people having addons
and if you didn't have addons, gg gl
I dont see a problem with it. That's the type of information that doesn't effect gameplay but is very fun
The point is aknowliding the fact that a mechanic is good for players and add them
I think the same thing, others don't seem to agree though 😂
Same. Cleric was so much fun!
damage numbers are a stupid addition
You seem to blow this argument out of porportion a little bit
The majority so far hate the idea so the fact you think this still is kind of cool I guess
When I first saw the trailer I was worried the actual game would have them, which I actually don't like when games include the numbers.
Way to much emotions
I mean your the one crying
I acknowledge that, that mechanic sucks. Don't clutter my screen with these numbers.
We state our reason, you whine, and we make fun of you. Repeat until now
@late scroll I smell you lurker.
I disagree sometimes players want things added in that remove elements of game play that are fundamental to the game. This is a hardcore pvpve. MMOs have shown that players want so many changes to make games easier they die off. If there was a training room with numbers then sure but in the actual dungeon would be stupid visually as well as no one is going to really pay attention due to PvP
Ya gots to be trolling so I'm going to quick block you before I get in trouble ya know! Gotta respect the mods and what not
This comment almost perfectly visualizes why their suggestion is bad. One thing I would add is that everyone isnt really meant to know how much damage they are doing to other people.
Bluffing how much HP you have is a strategy that would be completely revoked if people could see your HP ticking
Yeah I mean even a dummy isn’t going to really reflect armour ect so that’s why it’s kinda redundant anyway as I liked learning it
I need a BONE RIDE immediately!!!
Skeletal horse mount?
Well I was talking about what the skeleman do to a fellow in the dungeon. They hand out free Bone Rides! Even if you didn't want one
I still dont know what bone ride means.
Bone ride = death via bones?
i hope not
Those two words dont really visualize it for me.
Urban dictionary tells me it means smoking a joint in a car.
That's what they do when they've finished giving Bone Rides
Now it sounds sexual
😳
It always was my man! Its always was
Get off me bone
The only BONE RIDE I'm looking for is from a strong skeleman deep in the darkest dungeon.
My dungeon!!!!
Bloody bone marrow kinks are something I didn't want to find today.
traps are marked on map, they dont need to be more or less visible once aware.@nimble juniper
hopefully once they done with the first few levels of dg they can start adding more dangerous dark souls like enemies.
glad that they start to have more attack animations on the higher difficulty versions
The traps marked on map are actually intentionally misleading. They put traps in places that dont show on map as well. For example in maze map it shows the two traps but doesn;t tell you they are on either side of the wall and a second pair of them are further down the hall.
Yea, it only shows some of the traps
I found several traps that didn't show on the map at all
LETS GOOOOOOOOO
throwing torchs reveals invis!
i think it would be cool if there was a base building aspect like the hide out from tarkov. it could be a way to add more loot to the pool or a way to contribute to the quest that will be coming it. maybe there could also be a way to craft things like potions with materials you find once again to increase the loot pool and a way to get potions without having to spend the money
Honestly a base building aspect WOULD heighten the fantasy of the game. You're delving into a cursed tomb for loot, not for the sake of doing it, so OF COURSE the player characters would want that money for something outside of the dungeon.
yeah thats what ive been thinking hopefully we arent the only ones
I've seen it suggested quite a few times. I think (not sure) the devs have said they have an interest in that, too. But that'll be a feature developed much later down the road
What if they made it so you could pmm, and it be based on whether you're good/evil. So evil players match with evil groups, and good players match with good groups. If you kill a teammate you get -5 karma, +karma cap of say 5. you gain karma by exiting dg +1, you can become as evil as you want no limit, if you go over a threshold a bounty is put on you that can only be removed by a good align enemy player killing you.
I've seen suggestions like that, too. Not a bad idea, either. Tho the person I first saw suggest it only had it as a form of punishment for disruptive players, but I kinda like the idea of embracing it as "evil character" instead. Kinda reminds me of Invaders from the Soulborne series.
was it my other karma suggestion? or did someone else have the thought
I believe it was someone else
noice
yeah i had a discussion with someone about my other idea, i been meaning to update it just havnt bothered lol
the only problem with bounties is that it doesnt actually change people going out and killing you. people arnt more encouraged to come find you, because a, they dont have a choice of who is in the lobby, and b, you dont exactly know who is in the lobby with you anyways.
its just extra reward for people killing a random person
I could imagine two potential game modes for the game. A: Bluelock, team building competitive egoist style battle where players compete not to be eliminated, you keep your loot and matches progress with a pool of players for roughly an hour. B: Sword Art; You fight to progress to deeper levels of the dungeon, as you progress quest and fulfill quota's you compete to reach the lower/upper tiers each season.
honestly, its likely to just be a, the current mode, and 'maybe' b, 1v1, 3v3 arena fights. thats it.
I'd be fine with that; it wouldn't take much to create a mod for such game modes after the fact however.
ideally id like something like SSF (path of exile) or something like no bank, no trading, no merchants, only quest rewards, play till you die
leaderboard for most of whatever in a single 'run' which is till death
An infinite mode where theres only red portals and 1 blue portal every 5 downs
Every down portal gives the mobs 100hp
Who would get lower? Leaderboard
Better loot would be nice too
worst suggestion ever, those modern dances destroy all atmosphere in games
For as much as I love this game I don’t get the appeal of pve. The combat isn’t diverse compared to full pve games, it’s relatively easy, and if there’s nobody to stop you from losing loot you’d peak out and one shot mobs every run.
makes it hard. if the game runs like normal, but you cant access bank (just character inventory), you can still run against normal players, which is kind of ideal
@halcyon island , although I fully agree with your words, they do not fit in #d-and-d-suggestions.
its so cringe when people compare darker and darker to dungeons and dragon so cringe the same when zenith lauched all people could see was omg sword art online game
Or am I wrong?

Roblox player has
y issues.
That was true for the last test and ppl hated me for saying it, let's see for this one now.
thats funny but pls let my kid play roblox i dont want him playing fortnite
fair :3
fortnite makes me want to stab other people. roblox makes me want to stab myself
all honesty if i wasnt too old for minecraft gfx I would play roblox too lol
I tried fortnite during pride month recently. That music lol....
i mean your never too old for a game
where all just playing video games
as long as you dont harras kids on hobo hotel as 50 year old its fine
nah, I ain trying to raise or educate other peoples children im good on roblox lol
i dont see a better game for him too play
he acculy tried making his own lol
he's trying to learn lua and stuff
It is a good game for children, hence why im not playing - get the connection?
soccer is also a good game for childern so no i dont
its okay some day you will understand lol
i saw him playing a game called Deep woken and that game looking pretty decent tbh
lua and Python are good entry programming scripts when I first learned.
This is my thought. It would take so much work to make DaD's PVE stand on its own two feet. Its just not worth it
Man that sucks hopefully MoM's PVE is better
Highly original
Just asking cause its probably been suggested tons of times yet but how likely are we to see new classes added like the druid or the bard and so on?
Very likely for full release
Bard and druid are definites, and the rest of the DnD 5e classes have been hinted at.
Oh man 6 hour slow mode on suggestions. I had two lol.
Too many people spamming troll suggestions
are we allowed to edit our suggestions anymore?
Check DMs
Where there server issues last time? I joined the demo late so idk
@granite plinth Please no more troll suggestions. Pay to win will never happen.
add a crime police
if u kill too many in the dungeon u will look suspicious
and police will chasing u in the dungeon!
This should qualify also 😄
guys i want to add to my suggest also:
vendor will be more stingy
maybe there can be a evil vendor also and it will sell for cheaper
This sounds more like a reputation system than troll to me
"Police will chase you" sounds like a serious suggestion?
It's just a reputation system. Police might be just hyperbole because of their age or something.
the bounty hunters perhaps
so wait is the suggestion to add a GTA style cops get mad and chase you thing?, or something like the police covenants from Darksouls etc
like the dark moon yes
blade of the dark moon
Suggestion sounds much more like GTA than blade of the dark moon
This also does not sound like a karma system at all. It states when youve killed to many people in the dungeon
I personally don't like it as system anyway
people previously suggested similar stuff like with taking away the ears of people lol
I like more generic quests
and I wonder how they will be
Re: Karma since it came up earlier/maybe still talked about, I'd like a simple "this player kills his teammates a lot/on spawn" system and just make karma visible so you know who you're teaming up with. That way if you see someone with -5000 karma you know you're going to have a bad time in advance.
Or that. I guess it would be a bit less obvious to newbies and they might away with more shennanigans lol. Or they might wonder what this -99999 karma means XD
Sounds like an incentive to me 😄
Needs to be an emote that lets people group up in dungeon than a Karma system makes more sense to me
for what we have seen, it is just with invites for now
yes that happened me twice with invites from rogue or 2 players. fun times 😛
i'd invite only trusted friends basically
but this like in every game 🤔
but i could still see it as system maybe
something i'd like to see is the randomization of enemies at least
not the dungeons but just the disposition of enemies only
so it is more various and fun
maybe this only in HR dungeons
they might have to differentiate between "intentional teamkills" and "accidental friendly fire"/"killing my buddy for his loot because he got dcd" though although in the latter case, the game should let you reconnect. I think it does? mostly. (of course if they add karma it has to be accountwide, because someone will definitely make 20 different characters with different spellings of BillyBob for shits and giggles to reset karma each time else)
oh not sure how it would work that but yea
also iirc I saw it was possible to rejoin if you get disconnected or due to crashes
but i'm not sure here
This command has been disabled on this server
@covert slate that's already a thing
Isnt it a reduced time tho not instant?
0.1 seconds is basically instant
Hmm don't remember that perk and or skill
it replaces meditation so you have to choose
limited instant casts or permanent spell reload
see thats what I'm talking about I think it be cool to pair with meditation
but then again spell wheel is a thing
ya i bet
It be cool to be in a situation where u can add pressure with a insta cast and fall back a lil to start casting spells
Ill have to try that perk you're talking about
it's best if you have a team
we have that already lmao
using it solo is hard because you still need to clear rooms
if your team can clear rooms while you bust heads with your instant nuke it's great
right @open ermine but u gotta give up something for that
yeah if you lose med for it it can hurt pretty bad
both are pretty important
if you run it you definitely only take damage spells
idk I think wizards should already have spell memory by default and then u can use the spell memory 2 perk for additional spells if u need them
that could open up the idea of meditation and inner focus
that would be the dream
It should be that way
And we have talked about it a lot already
Makes no sense that we are automatically forced to give up one of skill slots
it doesn't make sense, you're right, but current state wizard with access to an instant cast would be giga broken
once more spells are added to the game I'm sure it will end up being that way
They should really advertise the discord more it was hard to find.
?
I just typed Dark and Darker Discord and it was the first thing that popped up
Googling 101
i just clicked the big JOIN OUR DISCORD banner on the steam store page
My bad
I just looked it up, it's literally the first option and second option for me
you can find the link directly in the steam store page of the game also
We already told him
i recommend boots of questionable stealth when equipped turns you invisible footsteps volume +1000%
your footprints always glow like if a ranger with perk saw them
does edit not work no more
nvm bot absolutly busted rn

Im gonna make suggest has been made many time, so to honor the wardens. I suggest to add a warden-like creature / miniboss inside the dungeon, u can attack the warden and kill it but u may also pay 0$ (free) to have it follow u around and help u clean out the dungeon, thanks!

try suggest or edit
@shadow scaffold Why?
This suggestion is basically "Give Wardens an Enemy NPC", why would you want that to be the reference?
Why not just an actual Warden without any ties whatsoever to the discord server?
The fuck is this suggestion
same
Just realized which class suggestion channel you can view is tied to your selected role in the Discord. Seems to add no value to have to reassign a role just to be able to view what people are saying about each class. Why not open them all up?
It’s aimed toward your main not all
Why are people okay with plate armor reducing magic resist? How is that supposed to make sense?
Well if it gets hot, you’re cooking yourself alive
Maybe it’s conductive to electricity as well idk lol
In theory It's more for class-specific talk from people that play the class. That's the reasoning behind it, something like #game-discussion is the same thing, except towards every class.
It makes tons of sense to have those channels to funnel class specific discussions to them. Much easier to navigate and keep concise. Why limit access to them through roles, though? That's what doesn't make sense to me. It takes a role change for when you want to go see what's going on in the town of <insert class>ville.
people are desperate for wizard nerfs, whether they need them or not, and are against anything that would make them better, despite the fact that major balancing isnt here yet. in reality, that sort of suggestion doesnt matter much, as the devs will tweak it based on stats anyways i feel.
When your friend is drinking vodka redbulls, it's good form to forget all the silly things they say.
why are people so against 'simple' weapons being available to all classes, like the basic crossbow
They're Ranger mains
we don't need to achieve ranged/melee parity
not everyone should be good at everything
we're talking simple weapons though. they are very rarely best in class weapons, especially not the basic crossbow
Ability to do something is not being good at it
