the previous system was submit a recording to @orchid glacier , but since you can no longer spectate and clearly record the name of multiple attackers, its pretty difficult to submit clear evidence

they changed how lobbies/spectate works in order to stop cheating, and instead the teamers are way rampart now since there is not much you can do now if you get stomped by teamers... atleast the report button is working now

best tip i can give you: pick fighter, and go normals solo until you manage to learn how all the AI attack patterns work, and never try to run trough a room full of PVE, unless you are a rogue or a ranger with a pretty high interaction speed to open/close the door before the mobs gets you

i just stopped playing SOLO HR cause this stupid spectate decision + map rotation ruined the queue... you either have to rat your way out to a static exit to avoid teamers, or you end up dying in HR crypts cause that map is not designed for SOLOs

I've never been banned for teaming but every report system in existence creates false positives, tarkov for example had a community report system and the devs decided to use and they ended up banning 1 of the most popular twitch streamers of tarkov by accident (he was not cheating)

Probably best would be wait for it to come to you and try to stab it to death as quickly as possible. The only thing I've seen work (and this applies to PvP fireball) is to jump as the projectile is landing. Most fireballs are aimed at the feet.

For the skeleton mage, a large chunk of it's damage is in the burn damage after that it leaves on the ground. Jumping as it lands means you take some explosion damage but not much of the damage over time.
For player mages, their fireball has knockback. Jumping over it successfully would cause you to fly over and towards the mage as the fireball lands below and slightly behind you.

If you have a shield, crouch and block. Most rangers will aim for the legs if you are chasing. Otherwise, put away your weapons/hold a torch to increase your movement speed to dodge and chase or escape.

If you are fighting against wizards, you can try to bait out spells by running one way then turning another. Be careful as doing this too frequently can cause you to stay in the same spot or make them learn the pattern of your dodges.

Yes unfortunately. Since swapping to your weapon slows you down, it tends to lead to them getting just out of reach. What you can do is either run them into a corner/closed door, or if you are Barb, Fighter or Rogue, hit them with your throwable (i.e., the Francisca Axe/Throwing dagger). Any damage a player receives from another tends to causes them to slow down.

Also, if you are fighting a Ranger, be careful. They can lay traps ahead of time and may aim for your legs instead of your body and head. Traps will be pretty hard to spot but Rangers can also trigger them so watch if they make any weird pathing choices. Rangers also have a perk that allows them to slow evemies they hit in the legs. You can try to jump if you know beforehand that they are attemping this strategy.

Focus on learning to dodge all the monster's attacks, most can be avoided by just getting within range to trigger an attack then stepping backwards, some need to be side stepped. Learning to traverse the maps and fight the monsters are some of the most important skills. Normal dungeons are a great place to learn the game now, you're only allowed to go in with gray quality gear so you won't meet any players there with crazy gear. Not as many people use proximity voice anymore but it still makes the game more fun to try and interact with other players, diplomacy will save you from starting a fight pretty often in normals

Also play whatever class you think is the most fun or cool, all of them can be viable

Find a friend or 2 to play with who already knows the game. If you don’t have that, try running with some people in a discord. The game in and of itself is pretty simple. Most people who play GC are solo (or were) and have no friends or anyone else to play with so they can’t go play other maps because they are outnumbered, clearly. So what would be fair? Let half of the players own the crypts map or ruins map? Or make a rotational system that gives everyone an equal chance to play the maps (also, I’m not a solo player, I play in groups)

Anyone else having issues getting "Bones" and "Broken Skulls" to drop? I understand they drop from Skeletons. As well as the fact that luck reduces your chance to get poor/common items therefore something I'm avoiding in this context. One thing I'm unsure of is the HR drop rate. Its safe to say since HR drops higher tier items more frequently, they relatively drop lower rates of poor/common compared to non-HR. Therefore, it seems that farming non-HR Crypts would get the best result. Isn't it kinda silly that I have to specifically spam non-HR Map just so I can have a hope of getting a low quality item to finish an entry quest? And from a practical standpoint I should theoretically be able to get a bone/broken skull off of every skeleton. They're just laying there.... Or reduce the quest turn in amount.

Pretty common issue. Usually requires you to connect to a VPN in order for the launcher to start coming back.... no word on a fix, been happening for months now.

If you look at your Windows logs you'll see you're getting an exception when opening the launcher, but it's hidden from your view. Connecting with VPN the exception no longer occurs.

depends on the map, but on GC its 7, not sure about ruins and crypts tho, but im pretty sure is around 8 or 9

cause not all the blue gear is the same, and your dmg output doesnt depend only on your weapon, it depends of all your gear + perks

red ones have a good chunk of HP tho, so its pretty hard to onetap them without a 2hand weapon

if you can't handle a few baddies that need to snipe ya to get some kills then its a skill issue and you need to git gud

the only big difference is the amount of ore every node yields

with SLOT meaning 1 of the slots in your equipment sheet, for example, boots, gloves, rings, etc
