question: can you please show us the exact formula damage for magic spells? i went for a full true magic damage wizard build and in the lobby for high roller i tested my spells on the training dummy at that time i had 11+ true magic damage using a blue spellbook that gives +5 magical damage i tested zap, magic missile and fireball to my surprise zap's intial damage was around 46 but the burn damage was only 7? and when i used magic missile on the body of the dummy it only dealt 22 magic damage but iam sure with my magical power which was 50%+ and the true damage it shouldve been way more

I also heard True magic damage stats on equipment work on all weapons as well as spells, but additional magic damage doesnt. Would the additional magic damage however stack with true magical damage and that way make physical weapons do a lot of magic damage as well. The cleric also has divine strike spell, that makes ones weapon deal magic damage. Does additional magic damage stack with that?

Fighter is Tanky but don’t assume it can tank hits at ease, you need good gear.

If you wanna make money and avoid PvP go rogue. Can hide, double jump etc

I was having that same issue for several days. I finally got it fixed. I uninstalled Blacksmith, deleted all of the files in the Program Files associated with the game and then went into RegEdit and deleted the Ironmace and Blacksmith folders. Then after I reinstalled again. The client worked and the game redownloaded. I was able to run it smoothly.

It's dumb but here is how I fixed it (worked for a friend as well)

Search for "Regedit" on your Pc and open "Registry edit"
In here on the left click the expand button next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER then next to SOFTWARE then Ironmace
Next right click delete blacksmith (you are deleting registry files for the launcher not the launcher/game itself)

Next Uninstall the launcher. For me I navigated to the Blacksmith folder I selected when I installed the launcher and deleted the folder
Next I restarted my pc.

Then I went to darkanddarker.com and redownloaded the launcher
Then loading it let one friend in

For a couple of friends they had to download and use a vpn to connect to the game (Literally in launcher wouldnt let them connect load vpn while launcher is still open than it worked)

It is dumb but this is what we did for it to work

Warlock meta right now is Falchion and Crystal ball, the definition of choosing your damage type.

Bards can do Magic damage as well as physical.

I feel like if you're gonna identify ur target for being PDR/MR its helpful to communicate to ur teammates so that for say, your wizard doesnt shoot zaps at the dark plate fighter and focuses someone else, or ur barb doesnt go on the cuirass full plate fighter if u have magic damage option in ur team.

For solo its a lot more class dependant though. And in teams it also depends where ur fighting.

The Warlock has 2 dots that do significantly drain health if landed and Hellfire which, admittedly doesn't hit often, but it does zone out space. Since Warlock is just faster than heavy armor players they can throw out dots while their front line front lines.

If we're talking about 1v1s, yeah Warlock blows in solo fights outside of Curse of Pain into Falchion. But eventually they'll get more spell options.

But in group play everything I said about Warlocks is true.
