Directx11, It's a computer graphics thing. There's different versions of it, and they're releasing new major versions rarely, so getting the game to run on dx11 could be a performance boost or things looking prettier, or it could be the reverse. A lot depends on the game, the operating system and the hardware. You got Dx9, dx10, dx11 and also dx12 i think. There's also vulkan api, so it can be used instead of directx
