All picks work the same way, press F on a mineral deposite to mine it, you get one chunk of ore per "mine". It takes 5 chunks to produce an ignot or 2-3 to produce poweder, which can then be used to create armor

In general, its a slow and tedious process that people only do for clout reasons.

Ive never seen anyone wearing the cobalt or rubysilver armor unless they went out of their way to get it... like me

If you are playing Barbarian a chest plate is super needed

I would also recommend you run the protection potions on any class
