I'm almost done with building and fully outfitting a 2nd mobile space platform
Both platforms should be fully inner-planet capable and both are pre-loaded with the materials to build a rocket silo and 4 rockets immediately upon arrival to a new planet

Also I figured out what was going on with the save file
There's a subtle bug in my launcher script that I need to fix. It's not a problem, so it's not urgent, but I'd have to take the server down for a few minutes to fix it.

1k concrete, 1k steel, 100 pipes, 400 blue circuits, 200 electric motors, 200 low density structures, and 200 rocket fuel

then once sufficient means of making rockets is made, then we can get a space platform automatically shuttling back and forth
I’ve addressed the issue with the server’s scripts. Save rollbacks will now work as expected in the future, should they be needed.

the small worms are stupidly easy to kill with the proper worm bait
A field of poison capsules is their kryptonite. Instantly breaks through their regen ability, allowing the gun turrets to shred them to bits.

But the tesla turrets are the real worm-zappers.
Big Demolisher gets lured by some fish,then gets absolutely demolished,what else can I say?
A few things to note for those who want to try this as well:
-You can rotate the turrets only before you place them,so make sure the turrets face towards the demolisher.(I found that the hard way during testing,the turrets will not shoot in sync and the...

technically, the vulcanus factory is fully automated now, it ships orange science back to nauvis in 1k batches on its own
Vulcanus is dirt cheap to set up and automate, honestly. And it just prints metal for nothing.

If you want more planets but not be insanely dragged down by 2+dozen worlds, only have the good ones in a pack.
last night we returned to nauvis and redid a lot of the factory layout to remove belts, clean up the fluid processing area, and work towards modularizing the subsections for better troubleshooting/planning/expansion
it is mostly logistics robot based now, so sections can be moved around at will, mostly
also added several more roboports to provide more charging stations for bots
there's still more work to be done with improving the factory, mostly greatly expanding the circuit production, especially green and red
next planet is most likely Fulgora

Gotta defend the rail lines too
They'll even sometimes attack power poles to cut off the power supply to your outposts
Biters typically attack things that block their way or are near them, but they only target pollution producers
That's not what the biters on my worlds do, even in vanilla 
Like, they straight up will target my rails to stop oil shipments, or electric poles to stop defenses or miners from working.
No mods or anything
biters basically walk straight toward pollution, but they attack anything they run into on the way
A bugfix update for Factorio was published today. The server has been updated accordingly.

Be prepared for lots of stompers. The enemies on Gleba are relentless and very tanky.
Get. Explosive. Rocket. Turrets. A line/block of those will easily stop stompers in their tracks.

That "thousand yard stare" he has on the thumbnail is no joke. This mod kicked his ass. The first two Rampant videos were child's play compared to the utter nightmarish horrors and hell-born apocalyptic scenarios he found himself facing here.
He was facing suicidal NUCLEAR biters at the end that destroy his walls with explosions.
Let me say that again: the biters evolved themselves to become NUCLEAR FUCKING BOMBS so that they could destroy him.

We envision 2.1 as our last major update of Factorio, and we will shift the focus onto long term support. So things like bug fixes, platform support/compatibility, modding features, etc. Other than that we feel we've reached a good place to conclude the active gameplay development.

honestly, considering the spage age expansion basically added the first half of the biggest mod for the game, I'm not sure where they'd even go after that
