I managed to get fallout 4 working after about 1.5 hours of tweaking the mod list and updating things haha. thankfully most of the mods got updates, and most of those that didn't didn't need one.

Time to start a fresh save sometime, and maybe get further than 3 quests in lol

I'd suggest The Midnight Ride's base modpack. The base Midnight Ride modpack is purely for optimising and fixing the game so it'll run a lot faster and with far less bugs and potential crashes.

Keep in mind that some of the midnight rides base pack isn't fully updated yet, so you might have to disable one or two mods to get it up and running, but that's easy enough to do.

Yeah, I feel like ||killing Caesar in actual combat is a really cool accomplishment because it's such a hard battle fighting your way in (since you have to unconfiscate your gear) to his tent, then fight all the way back out. But then the game gives you incidental 'Did you hear Caesar died? What a strange turn of events.' and then nothing changes except for who shows up at the final mission||.

It's possible to avoid that if you make some insanely difficult persuasion checks with his big lieutenant. But that takes specifically building for it & making very careful dialog choices.

Yeah, I heard about that. I bought every main Fallout game during their big anniversary sale a while ago, but didn't buy 3 since I heard it doesn't even boot properly on windows 10 or something insane like that.

Yeah, when F3 launched it was using "Games for Windows Live", a system that... doesn't exist anymore. So when you'd try to install it, it would just throw up its hands and give up.

Thankfully there were workarounds, and current editions will install fine. But it's still a jank game. It's amazing Black Isle were able to make New Vegas using that system, and in record time too.

Sim Settlements 2 is pretty well organised with its build menus, everything in the mod is onder one menu with everything in its appropriate submenu categories.

Let me see what build menu organisation mod I'm currently using with it though if you want everything else to be easier to search

There is a framework specifically for adding and modifying the Settlement Menu, but it's used for mostly adding stuff

When I don't have the right stuff to do it, I usually reach out to the dude in the Powder Ganger prison as opposed to the NCR. He seems like an okay dude, and it's less likely for Powder Gangers to attack Primm since it's being managed by one of their dudes. The PG's are going the way of the dodo regardless, so it's not like they'll be trouble for long angways.

I'd rather Primm manage themselves rather than come under NCR colonial occupation. I see what they do to the poor in the strip.

Yeah out of all of the protags, the Courier sticks out to me as being one of the most terrifying protagonists in the franchise.

While the Vault Dweller and Chosen One led societies on the path to flourish, the Courier brings their most prosperous to heel if they so want. And typically even when they're aligned with the NCR; they're still calling shots and forcing the NCR to get cleaner.

I'll just say that, there's a reason why the Courier gets the trait; "terrifying presence", which causes your enemies to run from you in terror, especially in the horrifying ways they phrase the dialogue options for this trait

Hello! for folks playing f76 atm, how is the game doing?
I was looking into some looter shooters like Division 2, and it seems like the devs kinda killed their old progression loops a bit haha. So I'm waiting to see if they fix it, but I thought it'd be worth checking how f76 is doing.

Have they got a roadmap somewhere for what's been added so far?

Well, it's worth noting that the folks that still play F76 are likely positively predisposed toward the game, I imagine (I am certainly included in that group, and Masque probably is as well).

That aside, though, I would say that F76 is doing rather well nowadays. Certainly, it has seen remarkable improvements since its initial release in almost all areas (performance, stability, content, balancing, etc.)

If you prefer more official sources, here is a compilation of all the roadmaps Bethesda released. Bethesda stopped releasing roadmaps after 2022, so see the first link for the updates released since then.

I will note that F76 is a lot more of an RPG hybrid than a "pure" looter shooter like Division 2. This isn't inherently a bad thing, of course, but the heavy emphasis on RPG mechanics may be worth keeping in mind.

It's tne next big update. A big circle will show up on your map for a limited time, with high-difficulty encounters. This "infestation" event will load harder enemies and if you finish them in time, a smaller red circle will appear somewhere inside the infestation. That will include a boss that drops 4-star loot.
