the game looks atrocious on pc because it was a messed up port of the wii version, and if you want to get the best experience possible on pc, then you'll have to get the arcade version (which looks like the xbox 360 version) through other means, then install a few mods and plugins to make it identical to the console version

Mhmm, it's going to be pretty commonplace for AI assets to be used during prototyping and vertical slice iterative phases. Once the ideas get hammered out, those AI assets get replaced by real artists.

Coincidentally, this same game made the news around Tomb Raider fans after it was discovered they weren't going to dub or translate the game for Spain, Russia or Poland because the voice actors refused to sign amazon games' contracts allowing them to use their voices to train AI, which is yet another reason added to the pile of reasons for why I just reject this technology entirely at the moment
it seems like amazon games just pretty much forces devs to use it, and I wouldn't be surprised if whatever usage they gave this was fairly minimal just to please the publisher in the case of this game anyways
after the whole scandal with Larian and Divinity they even said in an interview using this stuff didn't even necessarily speed up the process either, but every game studio has to try any new tech that comes out because otherwise you risk being left behind, so I understand that we're in that stage now, but the fact that it seems like a big waste of time is another reason for my dislike

Yes, RA3 is very good. If you want to try an excellent mod that enhances the gameplay all around, try the Rejuvenation mod. Each faction gets several new units, a few units get new models, and even promotion works like it should (faster fire rate, higher durability, faster movement with each promotion, not just at Elite status.). It even works seamlessly with each campaign (even though in the campaign, the enemy won't build the new units).

Imagine an escort mission, except your escortee is standing in an open room and there are enemies spawning in aiming at them from pretty much anywhere on a 180 degree angle. And multiple enemies can be active at once. Their spawns aren't fixed in order and oh yeah. Enemies are spawning in that are specifically trying to kill you.
Now imagine this being an objective that lasts about 5 minutes
And your escortee can get shot about 4 times

GoldenEye has a lot of non-obvious ways to make missions a lot easier
like how Bunker II is a stealth mission, and shooting loud weapons will spawn in more guards
(so use the knives and silenced pistols as much as possible, and when using the KF7, fire it in bursts)

Oh, I just fire the KF7 and use the doors to create kill boxes in order to spawn in every guard that isn't the infinite repository from the alarms and use doors to kill them
It's really easy when I only have to fight one or two guys at a time while the others are rushing my door

- Cameras can be "headshot" by shooting their lens to destroy them in a single shot instead of 3
- Sniper butt stock melee attack has doubled range compared to slappers
- Phantom, M16 and RC-P90 have doubled damage compared to other weapons (2 bodyshots are enough to kill)

the difficulty in Archives is mostly about avoiding explosions caused by guards. You can exit the level by breaking the glass on the second floor and jumping out the window
it's the fastest speedrun in the entire game (15 seconds) on Agent difficulty

cheat unlocks are based on beating a specific time on a specific difficulty, rather than completing objectives in specific ways
you can technically kill Trevelyan early, but it requires an unordinate amount of damage, or cheats. Speedruns don't attempt this, it's faster to just get him to the bottom platform
