The evidence of the (probable) real cause is in the photos of the original post; the impression on the puck shows that only one pin was in contact with the strap. That means no short within the puck; the cause is most likely a cross-supply short between the watch's power supply and the puck's, with one (or both) of them not having current leakage detection. Differential ground voltage between them then gave enough current to cause the melting.

As such the real cause is US's lax electrical standards not requiring everything to be properly grounded so different supplies can end up at different levels; even if OP wasn't in the US, these standards have infected the rest of the world with so many devices just having a plastic earth pin, since the device isn't designed to be grounded at all.

The CPU had one core that underperformed speed wise, so I had to down clock everything and remove all built-in boosts to avoid CtD.

The replacement is "newer", more cores, same energy use, and no big hardware changes, but that chipset is EoL, so once it goes, that's it.

So an amusing update to the Krafton (subnautica 2 publisher) and unknown worlds (subnautica 2 devs) situation:

Devs need to hit 70 million to trigger the $250 million payout, where for each dollar after that 70 mill, krafton will have to pay 3.12 dollars to the Unknown Worlds folk (up to a 250 million dollar cap). And this isnt based on profit but revenue.

Plus, during the whole shenanigans, Krafton made a promise to the staff about them getting 10% of the revenue or something once the game comes out (since they were not expecting to hit the 250 mill, it would've been a smaller amount). Now that things are back on track, it looks like that 10% will be indeed be there, on top of the 250 mill owed, or something to that effect.

AND, since it was a 9 month litigation, there is a second phase to determine if Unknown Worlds are owed damages for the whole issue, since they outright set out to fuck him over and avoid having to pay that 250 mill.

So they bought the studio for 500 mill, made this 250 mill promise, tried to weasel out of it, will probably end up having to pay it (the 70 mill triggers at 2.3 mill sales. We're now at 4 mill), AND that staff bonus, AND damages.

All because people are probably buying it for the game itself, but also due to all this news, they are probably now doing it to spite Krafton

Prime Monster: I lucked into a really nice horde build where I kill three random MPs to give a chosen one 3 horde, (horde makes them count as extra people when voting) reanimate them for +3 to all damage and unity, then use the +9 bonus ton of extra damage and unity from cards. Yeah, that's what I was referring to. I just wanted to know if that particular quest was one of the last ones in Dromund Kaas, for my class I mean, and it coincidentally was
what I've been doing so far is basically do all the other side quests and heroic missions first on each new area of the planet before doing the main stuff, it's been a good way to amass credits, level and gear so far

when I got to Dromund Kaas, I think the max level for that area is 17, so the game seems to automatically bump your character down to that level, I got put on that immediately because i was already lvl 27 or something by the time I got there and now I'm 37

I'm guessing now the game will start going into higher level areas that might start being more challenging, so far I've only had trouble with very few optional combat missions, but those are the heroic missions which usually reset so you can do them over and over
I think the yellow lightsaber I got actually was from one of those, and it's much better than the lightsaber I got as a reward for the main quest

So he's been playing for 2hr40min and this game looks like it probably has really excellent gameplay the only problem is it falls victim to a very annoying modern videogame trap that I absolutely hate and it's that all this time it's pure buildup and constant on rails interactive movie style gameplay and there hasn't been an actual level where you just play the game
