I'm trying to get the audio interface of ChatGPT to work in the WebUI in Chrome. I have given ChatGPT permissions to use the mic and set my webcam as the default mic. But ChatGPT still can't hear me. Any ideas what I might be missing to get this to work?

Have you tried signing in fresh in an incognito window with all extensions disabled? Good test to see if it's cache/cookies/extensions interfering

If you mean search, I believe that depends on the model being used, not the account. In my environment (Web browser), the Search button is available for 4o and 4o-mini. Not available for the o1 models or straight gpt-4.

Currently, I've upgraded to GPT Team and I found that, after I added one personal account to the Workspace, I can used GPT Plus services ie. 4o using my lattop in my own personal account. I'm not sure if this is the right channel, but I am having trouble with my chat. It was working fine until a couple of days ago. So, what happened was, I went to continue my chat with the bot for my book series and I got an error, saying that a message couldn't be generated because there was a problem. So I refreshed it and went on as normal. However, if I back out or refresh the page, the conversation will be all the way up the page and will rapidly scroll down to the bottom and I will get the error again and all of my messages after the error will have been deleted. The bot is also forgetting some information despite it being in the memory bank. It also got stuck on saying that it understood that I was having trouble with the first paragraph for my first book and it kept giving me tips on what to do. I have tried wifi and my cell service as well as using the website and refreshing the page. I'm devastated because I had a really good conversation going and I would hate to try and have a new bot remember everything that has been said for a new bot. I have tried another bot and that one works perfectly fine, it's only this one that is acting up. It said that I had full memory, so I went in and deleted some memories and it is still doing it unfortunately. I am using the free plan.

Hello! For the models on the OpenAI API, the ability to receive image inputs ("vision") is different from the ability to attach/access contents from files like PDFs. Basically: images can be passed as native input, other files need some kind of extra work/tools to be workable via API.

Probably to help reduce the chance that IF the model tells you something that isn't ideal and highly-true, you are MORE LIKELY to wonder about it and check for yourself instead of assume the model is right and told you everything and unbiased.

The model might do a good job and tell you everything right and unbiased.

However, the model can make mistakes, and how we ask questions can make mistakes more likely; what we ask about - some stuff doesn't have 1 correct answer.

Politics can be very important and many people can have many different right ideas, but the model may not ideally express all those right ideas at once.

So, that info at the bottom may be an automatic additional reminder added if the model says some things or you ask about some things, to help increase the chance you get all the information you need to get a good answer.

At a guess, because you were maybe asking about government and decisions and how this may have changed over time, that may have triggered an automatic reminder to be careful about making sure you have all the current correct information, which the model may not be able to give you

Note that I still have "Subscription" available to me to click on, while I see you don't, so I'm still not positive what's preventing you from accessing the Subscription section... Were you on a Team subscription? I just found an alternate path to OpenAI ChatGPT invoices that seems to sidestep needing to go to ChatGPT settings. I went and found my original email where I subscribed to ChatGPT Plus. That email has a button in it: "Manage your subscriptions" - clicking it took me directly to the same pay.openai.com page that the Manage button does in ChatGPT Settings (assuming this only works if signed in to the same account). Perhaps this will work in the meantime?

I think the default MFA method is an auth app - Google/Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, etc. - apps like that. Any chance you have one of those that you set up when you set up MFA initially? If so, you may be able to open it and see your current 6-digit auth there

Hello, the chat options are different depending on whether you're signed in. To be safe, sign in first at platform.openai.com. Then, return to help.openai.com. Sometimes, even when signed in at ChatGPT.com, I still need to sign in first on the platform page - I think it has to do with how OpenAI handles sign-in sessions different across their different sites.

But once you're signed in and return to help.openai.com, you should see the proper chat options (and the support query will be tied to your account)

It's possible there might be some quirk with the "login now" button you mentioned earlier - maybe that's directing to the ChatGPT login, when I think the auth via platform.openai.com is what hooks to help.openai.com (and I think that's a separate or semi-separate auth from ChatGPT's sign in, strangely)

It can take some time to get a response - for my most recent support ticket (related to Sora so ymmv) it was about 24hrs between responses. However, I had the benefit of being signed into my account, so I could safely leave the page and return to see if I had a response yet. Since you indicated you can't currently sign in, I think it's possible that leaving/returning to the page will "abandon" your guest session and render your support ticket inaccessible again, unless you had some option to fill out an email address to get responses to perhaps?

If not, and if you're talking to support as a "guest" currently, you might consider making a new free account with an email you'll always have access to. Then I'm guessing you can still inquire about the other account so long as you have all of the other necessary info. Then your support ticket will be tied to an account you have regular access to, at least.

In the short term, you might try reaching out to your financial institution to ask them to cancel the automatic payment on your behalf, since you no longer have the ability to sign in to do that yourself

Hello, this is called LaTeX formatting. Word can display LaTeX properly via the Insert tab, then find the Equation button. You should be able to specify LaTeX formatting from there, and then enter what you got from ChatGPT

I'm having an issue where I was conversing very deeply with an AI model through my phone and suddenly it crashed. Ever since I haven't been able to log back in on my phone. Can you test in another browser? I know Brave has some built-in stuff that could be interfering. And definitely only try with the sign-in method that you used when you created your account (i.e., if you used email+password, keep signing in that way. It doesn't know more; books that are in copywrite are not part of its training, though it does get taught some main stuff from online sources about most things. It doesn't know the subtle stuff and minor details... or even major unless people discuss online that gets used for training.

Second... your attitude totally affects how the model 'reads your intent'. If you ask in ways that suggest you are maybe interested in harm, the model freaks out. Asking in a way that gives it context for why you want to know and the limit of your interest, and the model will usually cooperate more.

When you ask about harmful stuff, especially when the model's not got lots of info about it (or too much) - this can make the model imagine it knows. And... for a topic like that, it's easy to push the model into imagining horror. If the model's thinking (even 4o) about disallowed content... content flags fly.

the thing that i can suggest is making a browser userscript to do it.
go into the sidebar of normal chats that you can easily access, click the 3 dot horizontal menu and click delete on one of them. open web developer tools before you do that and look at the network requests to see what happens when you do delete that. then you can make a userscript to that with whatever conversation you have open by making it find the id and sending a similar request to delete it in the back end.
it will be a challenge to make if you're not technical, and it is a bit of a hack, but it seems like the only way to do it for deeply nested chats that you find through searching and not scrolling the sidebar.

It's like the network error is something to do with the delivery of the response and not the submission of the query itself. Perhaps try clearing some non-essential memories in your memory if you haven't already, to see if maybe it is full and it's just not telling you for some reason? Hello, I need to create a prompt that is a statistics analyst that uses these methods mainly:

1. Logistic Regression: It is common to predict binary outcomes, such as winning or losing.

Are you using the Android app by chance? I've read a few people report that selecting 4o in the Android app isn't working and is instead using a reasoning model. As a temp workaround, you should be able to start a 4o chat in the mobile web version then continue it in the app

I just updated my Android app to 1.2025.035 (I'm signed up for beta versions in the Play Store, not sure if necessary). I was still having the bug with 4o triggering reasoning. But, then I switched the model to 4o-mini and got a little notice about how reasoning was now an option, then switched back to 4o, made sure that the reason button was de-selected, and it seemed to clear up the bug permanently!

Maybe worth a shot if anyone is still experiencing the bug

There's definitely a big bug going around with GPT. On my desktop, it works just fine. I select GPT4o, and it runs. But on my phone, whenever I select GPT4o or even GPT4o Mini, no matter what I do, when I hit enter, no matter how I craft the prompt, it reasons and expends one of the valuable o1 prompts. I hate it. It only happens on my phone.

Do I have to start in the web first?( I did read some of the other people reporting it.) Why does it do this?

Hey, those look like the options when not signed in - the options are different if you're signed in before going to help.openai.com. Try closing that tab, then make sure you're logged in both on ChatGPT and on platform.openai.com (seems like the sign in auths are different in my testing). Then return to help.openai.com, and you should have different default options.

Then you'll be able to select a path that will eventually let you type in your own message
