Will probably have to get chatgbt plus when that becomes available to bypass maximum capacity issue which I'm sure will still plague the free version. Having limitations like limited space, and message caps is a good incentive for people frustrated with these annoyances to opt for the paid version so I don't imagine they'll be fixing this anytime soon

So I asked gpt to find a solution to a programming issue im facing. When rendering a RDLC local report to a PDF, the line-height option, the space after and the space before are all ignored. I lost 8 hours in a loop trying to find something with chatgpt, everything it gave me didn't work or didnt make any sense. It tried to add a Winform textbox to a RDLC report which is incompatible in a loop. It also said that some function were part of iText7 library, but they arent and it tried to make me check reference and everything for hours to finally tell me : oh you're right, that function don't exist in that package. Does chat gpt even know what it's doing when giving you code or its making up stuff like a fictional movie?

Ask follow-up or verification questions often, especially when you are dealing with highly specialized domain knowledge, when something feels iffy, will get it no the right track, or it will admit it actually doesn't know

One workaround I do is that I copy & collect whatever text can fit in one message, collate all the text into one message, and ask it to summarize that text as background info. Then, I continue to prompt it based on that background info. It's not a perfect solution but works for some needs if you're desperate.

Hmm. With the Export Markdown button, you can get an .md (Markdown) file of the whole conversation, and you can open those files in Notepad even. You can just copy & paste that into a readymade ## Prompt + ## Background-Info prompt in another txt file or whatever, then copy & paste the whole thing into a New Chat.

If one has the technical skills for that, of course they can try to automate all this copying & pasting, yes.

It is able to detect plagiarism and is being used across many schools throughout the US now. So, I don't recommend writing a paper with ChatGPT because it can easily be detected. And if there is similarities to ChatGPT it uses OpenAI's API to see the exact thread that you made your essay with by querying their database.

That’s not true it’s dynamic and continuous, the cache file gets automatically cleared and save to other servers for analysis, the database has to be continuous for it to learn and react

That just isn't how AI works right now. It doesn't have the ability to dynamically learn from user input. All you're doing is asking it for a response. The model is static. It only learns when OpenAI decides they want to feed it new training data.
