Hello fellow future-sighted folk,

Context: In my professional life, I have to write documents, sometimes referencing each other in a type of ecosystem, that must be written with certain rubrics, meet standards for form and functionality, and many different requirements from many different sources. As example, I may have an in-industry capabilities guidance, a related-field structure and systems guidance, two different accreditation standards, and then actually making the document functionally useful, all to consider at once.

My Question: By fine-tuning a model, I would presume the Davinci, by feeding it all these standards and guidance documents, and maybe even some training materials related, would it be able to use all that as context to develop unified frameworks for these documents I have to create? Am I thinking about this right that if I say "Write around 250 words on Widget Quality Assurance to meet ACME standard 8, Gov Rule 22.5 and Academy of Widgets guidance for quality." that would be a reasonable approach and would yield the expected(ish) results?

I suppose I really just want to use it as an expanded working memory that can draw laterals and spot contradictions across all these things at once.

I say this because before I became a data engineer I was a systems engineer for about 8 years or so.

hmmm, seems I utilize the LaTeX to illustrate the math part, but the error happens when it calculate the middle step. Where it calculate the $\begin{pmatrix} 1 - 1 \\ 0 - 2 \\ 1 - 3 \end{pmatrix} into \begin{pmatrix} -1 \\ -2 \\ -2 \end{pmatrix}$ instead of \begin{pmatrix} 0 \\ -2 \\ -2 \end{pmatrix}$ (where it calculated wrong for the part 1-1). I guess it should be a very simple math (also for other part, it seems correctly calculated)... Just feels a little bit strange (I checked the "OpenAI cookbook" on GitHub but cannot find a similar example to describe it

Context: In my professional life, I have to write documents, sometimes referencing each other in a type of ecosystem, that must be written with certain rubrics, meet standards for form and functionality, and many different requirements from many different sources. As example, I may have an in-industry capabilities guidance, a related-field structure and systems guidance, two different accreditation standards, and then actually making the document functionally useful, all to consider at once.

My Question: By fine-tuning a model, I would presume the Davinci, by feeding it all these standards and guidance documents, and maybe even some training materials related, would it be able to use all that as context to develop unified frameworks for these documents I have to create? Am I thinking about this right that if I say "Write around 250 words on Widget Quality Assurance to meet ACME standard 8, Gov Rule 22.5 and Academy of Widgets guidance for quality." that would be a reasonable approach and would yield the expected(ish) results?
I suppose I really just want to use it as an expanded working memory that can draw laterals and spot contradictions across all these things at once.

you're going beyond "just fine tuning the process" here @reef kernel. You're basically trying to change the current model according to your new needs and parameters. ChatGPT is still in beta. You're not going to be able to this level of complexity by simply asking it. You'd have to fine tune the existing model yourself more than likely.

Jeff i'm sorry for asking you so many questions from a point of complete obliviousness, but i have another one since i really dont understand much of the jargon on openAI's pages. I like ChatGPT's ability to just answer complicated questions with great knowledgeability, even if it's not super smart sometimes, but the cut-off gets annoying every now and then. I also have some basic code i'd like to be able to write, but chatgpt also seems good enough at that. Given the cut-off thing in chatgpt, and my limited requirements, is there a better service for me to use?
