Is there a way to use previously generated content as a reference for generating new content? Say I create something with de2, but then want to use the thing created as a visual guide, or generation reference, so as to weight the subsequent results, rather than have the text prompt be the only influence on future results. So far, it looks like the only way to make use of already generated content in future generation attempts is to keep the text in the prompt more or less the same as before, erasing parts of the existing image, and then generating once again in on those erased regions. But what if you want something completely new, but informed by what was already generated? Is there any way to do that?

I guess my question is: can visual content be the sole content on which future generation attempts are based? Or must there always be text as the prime basis for the generation of new content?

Sort of? The code is open source, so you can build your own version and train it on whatever data you want. As an example I’m working on a custom version of Dall-E 2 that is only trained on Ancient Egyptian art so that is what it’s output will be.

Yeah, you can use your own hardware or rent someone else’s gpus depending on your needs. It starts at like $5 a month but I’d probably want a service that costs about 15 a month if I didn’t have a gaming PC with a strong GPU and at least 12GB ram. It depends how much time you want to put in to it. If you use the base code for like Bloom or ChatGPT and then spend a couple of days working with getting it to do what you want it will be pretty useful.

Thanks. I'm experiencing a bug and I wonder what I can do or where to report it. What happens: Whisper gets "stuck" in long transcription/translation tasks. I tried to use the medium multilingual model on a 47min YouTube video in Arabic (turned into wav by ffmpeg, in Colab). The number of iterations suddenly sped up and later I noticed why: at one point in the process, it keeps repeating the last line over and over until the last minute (but with varying timestamps).

I just tried kiwi.video and the same thing happened there (but it got stuck on another line). They probably use a smaller model but still, interesting to see that it wasn't only in my Jupyter Notebook... 🧐

Ok, so when it is printing to the console the same line over and over again with different time stamps, that is actually normal behaviour when there is a bit in the video/audio that has no words being said. So if there is a pause in talking half way through the video, then you will see the updated timestamps being outputted to the screen but with the same words. When the process is over, though, the txt and srt files that get generated generally have that stuff cleaned up, ie it won't show the repeating lines in the generated transcript.

Personally, if I were you, first start on the smallest model, so start off with tiny, and then increase it to the next level stage by stage (only if you need to). The medium model is quite large and so it may take a long time depending on your computing power. And you better make sure your computer doesn't go to sleep during that time!

Check the video at the timestamp where you say it keeps repeating with the same line, and just verify that there are no words being spoken. If there are words being spoken, then possibly it is hanging, in which case my advice remains the same - start off first with the small model. I've used the tiny model for english transcriptions and it is extremely accurate, so you probably don't need the medium model.

Translating Video for subtitles tip: If you are trying to translate audio to english for use with timestamps, and if you see that you are getting the same line repeated in the output, then it's fallen into some kind of loop, and so in the command just add:

--condition_on_previous_text False
So an example command would thus be:

Contrary to what I read, adding this extra bit actually improved the accuracy of the translation by quite a bit.

I don't understand why you ask this question here, when this is a perfect kind of example where ChatGPT can be very useful. Start by describing what your project is and what you have been asked to do for your project. Then ask it how you should approach this project. It will at first give you some bullet points as to the steps that is required. Then go through each step in turn, asking the bot to "explain in more detail", or to "provide an example". You can keep asking the bot to 'elaborate' on its answer and it will do so. You can ask it to provide you with an example(s), and it will do so. Then as you do your project you can ask the bot to tell you what is missing, etc etc.

not a lawer, but i think nfts are in most regions a grey zone in its own. First of all ntfs aren't pictures, they are contracts, which might or might not refer to pictures. If it's is already no longer than a few thousand words, copypaste and ask nicely. If it's longer than that, use an external tool that uses the API because context window shenanigans are not plug-and-play level easy yet afaic.

One protocol that comes to mind is: if the window size is 6k words and the website is 25k words, ask it to summarize 5k words into 1k words 5 times, then one more time on the intermediate summaries.

Note that if the site is years old and especially if the topic is common, all you need to do may be to tell it which site you want it to summarize and it'll remember (roughly) from training what it was about
