Unfinished pieces DALLE can actually complete by filling in whatever is set as transparent in an uploaded image. Otherwise DALLE doesn't support img2img or style transfers, though there are some variants of Stable Diffusion that do.

I wasn't really trying to get product support. It just wasn't entirely clear on who I should go to about something like that and modmail says to send issues about the Discord server itself there, since it's a Discord bot, that seemed like the right place to send it. I'm also aware of the outpaint feature, I still like to composite things as well.

Hi! This is a great question. You can see how DE2 handles variating on your original image through inpainting.

Uoad the image, crop it, edit it. Erase (mask) the applicable portions of the image

Write a prompt describing the character and what it is doing.

Generate and see how it does.

I am a small composer without artistic skills, personally I was interested in using AI out of mere curiosity, but when I saw how much AI can generate, the idea of using the image that is generated as a cover for my compositions came up. @wary monolith I tried making elves the other day, took me 10 credits before I was satisfied with the one I have now in my profile picture. Let’s say I had no clue what I was doing prompt wise and it took me 50 credits and I still didn’t get a good result.

Compare 50 credits spent floundering around versus paying $1 or $2 for a prompt from an expert that has a much better chance at getting a good result? Wouldn’t do it myself, but I can see an argument where it might make financial sense for some people.

you cant... even the prompt results that they are showcasing were not something special, I think there is also some element of rng involved with dalle, thats why with a good prompt you would still need a couple generations and/or edits to get exactly what you want. I think that it's relatively easy to learn the basics, but I could be wrong here and it makes sense to buy prompts. I may have to do it to decide 😄 😄 :D.

In my experience, because I also generate elves a lot... you need to know what the style of the image you want to generate is called. It helps to google some artistic terms.... once I discovered that I was able to generate incredible elves (you can have a look at my instagram and agree or disagree about them being incredible 😂 ) and it didn't take me 50 credits, but it has taken me about 250 credits to gain the experience I have (big or small 😂 )

Instead, there is inpainting or outpainting to replace parts.

I suppose you could do inpainting to add unique things to images, but then you'd need to extract the video as individual frames, and update each and every frame.

and if you video is at 24 FPS or higher

that would take an incredibly long time and be very manual.

When outpainting, is there a way to change the size of the generation frame? I'm starting with an image I uploaded, and the generation frame is so small in comparison to the size of the image that Dall-E is going to have very little context to work with

By default, all generations are private. People will only see your name as "[NAME HERE] x DALL∙E" if you decide to share your generation and make it public. Hitting publish will generate a public link, people will not be able to find that unless you share it.
