For that you need to wait longer, until it's out of the experimental stage. You could try the 'lower quality' of the Bing image creation until that time. It uses the V2 experimental of DALL E, and us satisfactory for many people.

I wait anxiously for it to come to DALL E as well. Better quality and outpainting will be anazing. But until such time it is ready for release we just need patience.

How much costs the credits to create only one image?

As far as I know you have to spend a minimum of $15 USD to get 115 credits. Which = about 13¢ for each 4 images or about 3¢ per image generated. You can't buy just enough credits to make only one image. There is Night café which gives users some free daily credits. Nightcafe makes use of Dall-E 2 and some other similar AI image generators.

Hard to say but it looks you have strongly emphasized attractiveness and chose girl (a child) rather than woman (an adult). Romance is further pushing in that direction and MS is erring on the side of caution. You are also likely running into the issue that below a certain scale faces come out rather poor. It seems in my experience that for photographic faces you need close to a quarter of the entire visual field to get really good results.

Just as an FYI. Some specific instances of text can be generated well. They are more part of a picture than text. Think of a sign that says 'pub'. Or a STOP sign. Here there are so many pictures that the algorithm learned from that they are easily generated. But otherwise it is next to impossible.

Dall E is not designed for text. It understands some text, if it more or less fixed in an image. Think of a stop sign. It appears you can add letters to some things, but 4 or more already can cause problems.

So any logo with text is pretty much doomed to fail. I would suggest msking an 'empty' logo and adding your text yourself

It is simple in my opinion. Box tells you where generation will happen. If the box is overlapping any art, it'll try to do something with it (continue that style and objects in it). Erase anything you don't want. As long as the bix is there, it'll regenerate something there. All according to the prompt you always add with the box

If you generate anything if the box isn't overlapping, it will generate purely from the prompt. You can use this to make two separate pictures, set them just short of a box apart and generate something that connects them in between for example.

I think you can't change the character's attributions properly, but, DALL-E have a button to generate some variants of a generated picture.

Seeing as you want to portray a famous person as "villains" or a bot, it supports that concern. You yourself might not have any nefarious goals, but people can still use any such material to try to damage these persons, religions or politics. Dall E is trained on pictures, not in text. Text is purely used for the descriptive prompt. As pictures seldom are described by the text within them, text is hardly something it recognises. If ytext is requested, it'll generate what it perceives as text. Which generally is garbage.

There are a few exceptions. Things like stop signs are so unanimous in pictures that the word stop is part of that picture. Try to change the word stop and you'll get trouble.

Some people have shown before that generating text of 3, maybe 4 letters is possible. From what they said it still seems inconsistent.

Until they train the AI on fonts and mix it with chatGPT or something similar it'll be difficult, if not impossible to generate coherent text.

My best bet would be inpainting of the letters. Best result is probably adding them one by one in the desired area. A generation each.

Have you checked what payload arrives? It could have headers or other stuff that might mess up the prompt.

Why does the image generation seem so inconsistent on the quality it provides? For example, I asked for a 3D logo of my name (without the star), all 4 results are a misspelling of the name. One was even Reditsion.

The AI isn't trained on text, it us trained on pictures. As it hasn't been trained on text, it only 'understands' text from the pictures it has analysed. That is why some text is easy for the AI. A stop sign is synonymous with a certain shape ánd text. But if this is not the case it'll mix any picture it understands has text that might get close into it. That can be basically anything. That it got so close with you is actually amazing.

Unfortunately Dall-E is not very good at text. It is trained on images only. So if you ask for text, it'll approach it as if it needs to create a picture. If it generates text the same way it generates pictures, you can be lucky if it generates Roman letters. It can generate a text reliably only if it is 'part of the picture', like a stop sign.

Copyright is a complicated issue. The United States copyright office has ruled that AI generated images can't be copyrighted. But a recent clarification clarified that parts of such images edited by a human can be copyrighted. How to seperate out the two? The person who generated the image is the owner to the best of my understanding and has full rights of such images. Minus formal copyright protections. I've been to Sweden only once. But it was amazing. Although I went to see a good friend, I also really wanted to see the Northern Lights. I had avoided any picture or video as much as possible to be awed by it
When I arrived some people were exited as they 'saw' it. They weren't sure, but when they made a picture ot looked green. Not a good start.

I come from the middle of Sweden where we only got green ribbons, but not the sparkling pink and purple ones that they get above the polar circle. The best northern light show I've seen was on Iceland, and it was powerful, and the ribbons were dancing in the sky, but it was only green. I'm planning on traveling north a lot in the future, and I can't wait to see the pink northern lights. It must have been amazing to see them. Northern Sweden is gorgeous and everyone who likes nature should visit at some point. 🙂

Yes that is normal. DallE uses a library of many many faces to make one, but it doesn’t actually know exactly what a face looks like. You can see it can do most pretty well but sometimes it screws up and the faces get distorted. This isn’t limited to faces though, for example I asked it to draw a house with a swing and people on the swing, so it drew a house and the swing wasn’t attached to the house, it just had chains that suddenly ended. It knows somewhat what a swing is but it doesn’t know its specifically attached to something

In the picture? By using thrird party software. Directly getting text correctly into the picture is very difficult. Understand that the AI was trained fir text to pictures. Thus it will only Understand pictures and not text.

If you ask something that has text to be generated, it definitely understands it requires text. But as it approaches it as a picture and not a language, the results are mixed. With few letters you might get a hit, with others not. See my example of a ship name plate with the name "bert".

There are a few times the picture is synonymous with the text. A stop sign fir example. Always the same text, always the same style. This it can do nearly without fault.

I think it can be quite easy. The rights according to the FAQ are definitely by the one generating it. The chances that a text generates the exact same response are somewhat less than 1 in 4 billion if I understand the seed system correctly. So an argument that they got the exact same is basically moot, unless they can prove it. That means you can claim copyright as I understand it

I agree with you, that's how it should be. But the laws are as @remote mountain said a gray area. So I don't know how Twitter would act. I'll have to wait and see if the person deletes the tweets or not before moving forward.

I also don't know how the laws in other countries affect AI art. In Sweden, an image is automatically copyrighted and we don't have to apply for protection. That might give me copyright protection even though OpenAI isn't Swedish, but I haven't read anything about it, so I don't know what the legislators are deciding here.

I used to live in Las Vegas before I moved to Wyoming. I drove a taxi there and took a ton of pics of the famous Las Vegas Strip. At the time my image of the famous "Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" sign was #1 in Google Images. Not anymore because I deleted that website of mine since. This was over 10 years ago now.

File for a formal copyright and by paying the registration fee entitles one to additional triple damages when suing iirc. Copyright law offers formal protections with a mechanism to recover damages i guess is the best way to state copyright law.

In my opinion someone claiming ownership of an image that's not theirs clearly isn't right. Nor is using it without permission or by not giving credit. There is a fair usage exemption to copyright law when using copyrighted material in a noncommercial manner. Or by using it in a news article or news broadcast. Look up "fair usage exemptions"

But all that's about copyrighted material. AI...? Who knows?

I help with a news channel on YouTube. Every day they use news clips from other networks. Since it's news worthy its fair usage. Some channels like I'm going to guess Fox News won't come after us. Others like maybe CNN will file for a copyright strike or Content ID regardless. It's a hassle no matter if your right or not to fight it. YouTubers learn who are nice and who are jerks when it comes to using other people's content even when it's perfectly legit.

One workflow that creates interesting results is to first create an image with DE2, then you use MJ to /describe the image as text, and then use MJ to create the image(s). You can of course start with an ai as well.

Dall-E 2 was the first publicly available version. Since then there is a closed testing of Dall-E 2 Experimental. You can use Dall-E 2 on Bing which also uses Experimental. The main difference is the file sizes are smaller over on Bing.

The file sizes are smaller on Bing because they are .jpg rather than .png which Dalle images are. That is also why the quality is lower on Bing when you zoom in. Jpg files are compressed and that causes artifacts and quality loss.

This is something that I think isn't getting mentioned enough, even though the file sizes are mentioned, so that's why I'm saying it. 🙂

Previously when I had people taking my images who refused to do what was right I'd go after their web hosting provider as they all have rules against copyright infringement. Twitter doesn't have a web hosting provider. So that's likely not an option.
