i say this often, but if you ever get stuck trying to solve a coding problem, switch to another version of GPT ie 4 or 4o. I just tried to solve a problem with 4 for the last several hours, and switched to 4o and asked the same question, the problem was solved in the first response. Just good to know that each version appears to have a different approach for solving problems in some way.

I see it as well but i think that's just how they made the animation. When switching models it first switches the first symbol, then the next, so it goes "3.5" - "4.5" - "4o". And the first model that's selected is 3.5 for some reason when you open the app

After working perfectly a few minutes ago, now recall any chat generates and error and the side bar is badly sized. A couple of reloads later and the side bar no longer scrolls horizontally, but the chats still all produce Unable to load conversation errors.

The current release of GPT-4o uses DALL-E 3. But GPT-4o is actually capable of generating images without DALL-E 3, including perfect text, as well as modifying or creating new images with consistency from other images. It's just not enabled yet.

Not quite there yet, but with some work you can get something similar... IE if you had the api documentation and schema and some sample code for wow plugins you could just feed those files to your customgpt and the questions you ask for mod building will be pretty relevant to what you fed it. File limitations will prevent you from having a gpt that knows everything, but with just a few information files you would be surprised how well it can 'help' code mods for games.

idk man if u have assistants around 300 of them and have each be in charge of a section of the game and have them communicate with a cluster of coding apis it can be done but pricey and unreliable.

for training method? No need for 300 of them. Assuming you have the full game source code you could break that down into model training data and just base your custom model on that. Still that's a crapton of data and if you haven't ever tried the training api it can get expensive pretty quick with large training datasets.

yes, apps can add "extra items" as apple calls it to the menu bar, usually located as an icon to the right, next to the battery and wifi icons etc... they run in the background to serve features to the user even though the "main app" (i.e the window) actually isn't active. if the chatgpt app supports this you could hit option + space to ask chatgpt a question without having the main app running in the background, think of it like asking quick and small questions faster and more conveniently as it's always available. and usually when macos apps are added to login items, it's the menu bar extra, not the main app. but that's currently not possible with the chatgpt app.

I give GPT a word doc, ask it to extract all yellow text, and it does like 50% of it, then I spend 5 prompts showing examples of all the yellow text it missed, telling it missed it, and asking it to be more comprehensive. it claims,ensures,promises, guarantees its comprehensive, but it misses every time....what am I doing wrong?

if the doc is very large the context size might become an issue, second thing is that without code interpreter the file system is for knowledge retrieval meaning it will search relevant info based on text relevance

The whole thing's ridiculous. A news corporation paid for a voice analysis, and the researchers compared Sky to 600 Hollywood actresses, and it was more similar to 12 other actresses than Scarlett. Now imagine just how many it's equally or a little less similar to, and you realize how absolutely ridiculously absurd it is to say it's Scarlett's voice, when really it's not because it sounds like her, but because she doesn't have a very unique voice.
