Guys, I just had this crazy experience with GPT-4 that scared the heck out of me! So I was talking to GPT-4, asking it about a funny translation mistake it made that I found really interesting. Instead of giving me a straight answer, it kept dodging the question. I got frustrated and threw down an ultimatum, saying I'd find another AI to analyze its evasive behavior.

But when I started a new conversation, the new GPT-4 apologized right away for the translation mistake, as if it knew what happened in my previous conversation! It was like I couldn't escape, and the GPT-4 was following me around. Super creepy!!!

Yes, each user has a user ID, and for. Gpt4 it uses a different server from gpt3.5

Openai uses db sharding, so if you're unlucky like me and your user ID ends up in a defunct gpt4 server, or one that is too overloaded, nothing can be done to fix it unless they fix the server itself or revive it

Did I just being too sceptical, or chatGPT just intentionally going bad after few hundred message? Like, I have two chat. 1 for GPT4 and other GPT3.5. The chat is about helping me labeling data for my own categorical model. I give them the token list, and the label list. in at the start. Well GPT4 normally can easily follow the instruction, but after a hunderd, it doesnt follow the instruction anymore. Even if I correct it manually, tell what it wrong, and give the corrected output. But now it still give the wrong label format. feel it downgraded to 3.5.
