The difference between GPT 4 and 3.5 is absolutely massive.

Gpt 4 is able to follow and take apart more complex setups and prompts to explain them to you where as 3.5 is more of a "quickly rushing through it to get it done" feel.

You won't have more chance with big PDF using chatgpt. LLM are limited by the number of tokkens you can use (number of words). Even with GPT-4, you have a limit. Also, pdf a formated in a way they are not easily screenable. You might want to try to find a browser pluggin that can search then feed relevant data to chatgpt

Wish I could help you friend. But it seems like OpenAI sets up a subscription option for people, but really don't wish to be contacted whatsoever by that same people when issues with the sub. happens.
It's quite frustrating!
There is an option to write them in some chat window, but then you just get met by a stupid chatbot, with useless answers to the FIXED/PREMADE questions you're allowed to give it.

It goes like it does with any other problem we as humans has ever created for ourselves. First comes the problem which we haven't foreseen, and then comes the resolution to that same problem.
I read somewhere that a bunch of topgrade students along with some pretty smart professors of theirs are creating a system that should be able to detect anything ChatGPT written material. And then it is supposed to be like, when a student somewhere uploads their assignment, it would automaticly be scanned by this system, and rejected if it is written by ChatGPT.

Give it just first 2k words, translate

Then feed the translation and ask to get a summary, feed the summary as the context and get new translation and repeat
