It will try to open the file and it will use the "deceyptor" on it and see that it doesn't decrypt correctly, so then it will force dl the new file

But maybe physics isnt encrypted anymore or smth

With incoming collab new files will be added and old may get changed or get new encryption (version V). So better prepare a spare copy of encrypted files before the update if you want to stay somehow safe.
Personally, I really hate that with each collab we might get an encryption changed.
I know that Re:Zero didn't have any change besides having v11 keys but still better safe than sorry. It's big collab incoming after all

download node 18+
download git
git clone the asset repo and the front end repo
and I mean git clone not download as zip
launch the asset repo in a local server ( through visual studio code is piss easy )
the asset repo should run on port 3000 if you use that method.
go to front end repo
do npm i. when it's done npm run start ( or npm run dev i forgot )
change the utils globalParams to the asset repo path to localhost:3000. pretty much done. now add any l2d folder you want in asset repo, reference it in front jsons and you're done

front end have an l2d.json that links a asset repo folder name to an english name, and there's a release_units.js file that let me manage who to show and hide on a whim
