epic uses a lot more for a tiny gain
cinematic just lets your GPU and CPU run to 100% but thats disabled in GoT

I figured out exactly what textures do. It increases the resolution of the textures from a longer distance. From medium and upwards textures stay at a higher quality. on low that you have to be near them For them to load to a higher quality

So it's basically resource management rather than actual texture resolution
