yes, i usually only run one or two mags and fill them up with an ammo pouch, it's cheaper and you can store more ammo easily, usually i bring in like 15-25 shots per raid but you can bring up to 150 in an ammo pouch (although usually that's waaayyyy too much)

there's a lot. like. a lot.
you can snipe anywhere on island, but if you're sniping solo, always bring an automatic.

usually you need to play the ambush, bait players into going out into the open so you can get easy shots, try not to take any shots that aren't necessary (ie: be patient, line up the shots, always play info/stealth game), etc.

bullet drop is (somewhat) insignificant in this game, so usually just aim upper torso, but at super long range (250m+), you can aim roughly in between the first and second dash for an accurately ranged shot. on top of that, leading your target is necessary depending on how far away they are, it's hard to get a feel for leading shots without having experience on players as scavs don't usually make as good targets.

always aim centermass, breathe out before you shoot if you find that it helps with stability, and always keep your finger as close to actuating the trigger as possible, any small movements can screw your controller position and make you miss, also patience and stuff blah blah blah there's way more but that's all the basic stuff

No, it has 3 underlying reasons that it isn't meta. 1. Penetration:compared to other calibers such as 762x39, 9x39,or 762x51 it is lacking. Even with ap it will never be reliable against highly armored opponents.
2:fire rate: has a lower fire rate than any ar in the game. When you are spraying someone, fire rate is key.
3:damage: 42 damage with ap is not realistic to the scar but it's what we have to deal with. 3 shotting naked opponents with armor piercing ammunition just isn't a viable option.

I play in a 3x4-5 foot area by my bed so I usually use my office chair and a larger thick pillow as a soft rest to steady my hands (I have blood sugar issues so I get shakey while I play) and that usually helps me but that’s a great idea! buy the quest pro controllers and dont listen to what this awm dude has to say. he thinks hes a god and refers to himself as the “awm king” when in reality he just bush camps and hits 50 percent of his shots. quest pro controllers have self tracking while quest 3 controllers + quest 2 controllers use inside out tracking. so putting your controllers against ur chin or headset can cause issues with stabilization and will mess you up. the tracking will get lost and be shit.

at least 50% of the lower level issues people have with q2/q3 tracking is stuff that they can pretty easily mend just by positioning slightly differently. even just being conscious of their lighting or other things similar to that, yes the tracking is buggy and shitty at a higher level, but it's still usable otherwise.

sass is a valid gun tbh, i used to think it was better than XM250 but i realized you can do some scuffed shit to have a grip with the XM while still being able to have a sight (#📷・tabor-media message), and it's my new favourite in terms of full power dmrs for range (g3 is still really good though)

also you should try the tikka, really good budget gun if you have ap as it one taps nakeds and is a guaranteed 2 tap through any armor
