Too pricey for me. + idk much about it since I never tried it. Another thing to keep in mind is that pump actions might be an issue when using gun stocks. My only compromise to this without losing my cheek weld or sight picture was to go butcher buttstock only. But pump shotguns in most games suck dookie butt, so I end up going back to my regular gunstock

I have tried the Valve Index version only, not the PSVR2 version since I don't own one, so I can't say anything about how good/bad that version is, but for index it was much more clunky compared to magnets. Personally at the price range, I would say spend a tiny bit more and get a Magtube by Protube VR.

So the thing is Quest 2 and Quest 3 controllers are not the same shape they have a different center angle for alignment, and Quest 3 doesn't have top sensor ring. Instead it has an additional sensor on the bottom of the controller. Any gunstock that covers bottom of controller will cover this and reduce your tracking quality.

So you would either have to buy a Quest 2 gunstock and use it with Quest 3, or buy a Quest 3 gunstock and use it with Quest 2. Whichever you choose, it will either be either not the best experience now, or not the best experience later.

Depending on how 'soon' you are planning to upgrade, it'd probably make more sense to get Quest 3 gunstock now, or just wait to get gunstock until after you upgrade. 👍

I work for ProTubeVR so I'm not the best person to ask for various recommendations. We make the MagTube and it is built to last, and move with you from headset to headset. All you have to do is buy new controller holders every time you get a new headset and you can keep using it forever. It is highly adjustable and can align to any gun in any game, and be comfortable to use with any body size and shape.

Some of the biggest Tabor content creators use the MagTube, and even have their own special editions, that when purchased some of the profit goes to them. There's all sorts of guides on how to set it up, particularly for this game and get the most out of it

It is pre built yes, it is on the higher end pricing wise, but it is designed to last a very long time, and is very easy to repair should anything break. It also has an extensive warranty for first 2 years should anything happen.

I use the VaderOne by KobraVR
Has magnetic connections, folding stock and it's adjustable so you can slide it to suit your arm length. It's only for psvr2 controllers though.
I use Cgrip gunstock for my quest 3, the controllers just slide into that one and that one has a side slot for holding pistols I wish the VaderOne had.

Other than getting a new one, looks like you'd be able to drill a hole through each end. And pin with a metal rod between the 2 held together with CA/super glue.

That works as well, idk about the electrical tape, may start flexing with a bit of force. but the method i mentioned would definitely be stronger providing internal support. Would unlikely snap again with a metal rod at the center. But as a temp fix it should be fine.

I'm showing how to calibrate the grip on the bottom picatinny rail closer to the trigger. Or shift grip, which is probably the best for not to create any off sets. Scope OG used the MagTube I believe... definitely old school/classic design... works, but can be bulky and takes muscle memory. Also have to detach controllers, use a sling, and all of that extra work.

What didn't you like about it?

Newer designed stocks are made to never leave your hands and always be ready, but not interfere when you are doing things besides aiming/shooting.

There are other options where the main porting of the stock is light enough to continue holding and still moperatly loot with both hands, but very easy to bring up your off-hand to rest, steady, and aim without ever dropping or finding the stock again.

YALL, hear me out, just tried this and it was kinda crazy. Use your dominant hand pinky to pull on the string of your off hands controller, it provides a tension that kinda tricked me into feeling like I was holding something. Being as short as it was it worked fine on the agram and prolly other smaller guns, but what if you tied them together with a longer rope???

Hello gunstock people.

I have just switched to the Quest 3 from the 2, and I was very used to stabilizing my rear controller on my cheek with the tracking ring, but now that my controllers have no ring, there is no point of contact that I can find with my rear controller without causing the tracking to fail.

Are there any gun stocks that are just the stock portion for the rear controller? Just something to stabilize the firing controller, but leave my support controller unencumbered.

theres two main things that you to adjust.
1: your gunstock shoudl be calibrated for your body. there are various ergonomics that you will want to achieve to make the use of a stock natural and easy, which will make the use of such the fastest and most accurate it can be
2: use the gunstock calibration tools in the game to align the guns to your gunstock. the default offsets are.. not great. the gunstock adjustment system lets you optimize that so it fits a lot closer

Because they are not mass produced in China (at least quality ones), they are individual time and effort for design, make, various 3rd party fees, shipping/packaging, etc...

There are options to make your own with coat hangers, PVC Pipe, Toilet Paper roles etc...

fair enough, there is a lot more time and effort that goes into getting a gunstock right than you might think... there are also still the possibities that prints will fail or something breaks and just general printer maintenance and power.

All comes down to if others agree with what you personally feel your time and efforts are worth. 😉

you just take the battery door off and slide the controller in/down alongside the built-in version and it latches in place like a normal battery door... then you use the release button on the controller to remove them again.

I just got skolvrs butcher gunstock for my quest 2 and I've noticed that my gun keeps rotating right when I grip it with my second hand making the cheekrest useless. Turining on the physical stock setting fixed that, but only if I dont put on a grip. I've also tried rotate the controller with the calibration the butcher stock offers but even tho that makes it better, Im left with a angled hand and aiming that way feels whiered

Here, in this tutorial I'm showing a nonmagnetic one, the basic one. But I would recommend you to add the extender cheek rest for more versatility, if you have long arms especially. As you can see, it does its job very well.

The magnetic is shown closer to the end of the video. Magnets are easier to connect and learn, but honestly, the front open cup of the basic Smartstock is pretty satisfying to use:

Very comfortable to use and has an adjustable cheek rest, only thing I would warn you about is that you can only choose between and left and right handed version as stated

Non magnetic means you will have to manually place it which will take longer, it’s like a $30 price difference

If you are looking for quick ingame adjustable stock, check Uni T. If you are looking for good "free hand" (nades, bandaids, looking etc) check Uni T. It has the holster option. It can be left on your hip and you can explore the game freely. If you are looking for max stability and max magnet strenght, check Uni T. It actually is the most adjustable, fast and rigid stock out there. It weigh 1kg. But this doesnt metter, since you can leave it and there is no problem with controller-cup connectuon. its a double halfcupper. It means that you will be holding the controller and the gunstock with your dominant hand. Like it will require some constant squeezing. it also cant be adjusted. but its cheap. and i believe its better than onestock. it has more of the cups

a brum stick, toilet paper roll (empty) duckt tape. For butt use a tenis ball or half of a brum without the hairs

get a brum stick. wrap the cardboard around the controller. cut it so you have access to the buttons and so it fits nicely. wrap around with the tape. set your positions of the controllers on your brumstick (you will need to cut the brumstick). glue the cups to the stick wtih duct tape
