The magnets are strong enough for you to pull the stock into your shoulder. I personally don’t have any problem with the inertia of the carbon rods 🤷🏻‍♂️

correct, create a calibration for the gun and foregrip. check the pinned calibration guide which includes a video on how to do it in about 5 seconds

recommended to not use the angled grip because you cannot do a horizontal calibration adjustment. the shift grip has pretty much the same stats

Modified my protube to have a telescoping tube so smgs and long rifles all feel a bit better, also to actually use pump shotguns. Had an old tablet mount for my truck I've been eye balling for some time and finally took it apart to use the latching telescopic tube. Designed some mounts in solidworks real quick then printed them out on the Bambu in petg for some rough tests. Overall can say I'm super happy with the outcome. Carbon center tube is slightly lighter but not too big of a difference.

@charred talon I ran my protube stock like this for ages, mainly for Pavlov. I rigidly mounted my rear cup so when I removed the front cup from the stock it stayed attached to my right hand and made throwing nades and knifing super easy. They sell it as their starter one. I have the whole mag tube setup but only ran that for quick paced games. I currently run the same thing just added a buttstock to the tube. Rear cup is still rigidly mounted so it never accidentally pops off the magnet. Starter kit is super cheap and very efficient. I recommend getting the carbon tubes though, they are noticeably lighter when you have it all on your rear hand.

This is how I ran it in GOT until I recent changed it to have a telescoping center tube.

Yea exactly, and the carbon tubes barely add any weight to the controller base weight. Bit more funky with the buttstock but I still can toss nades just fine with the buttstock attached. The tube by itself though was perfect for Pavlov and contractors where you have to do more point and shooting without having to worry about shouldering the stock. GOT I prefer the stock as most kills are from a distance and makes it far more steady.

Also I think the whole starter kit with cups and carbon tubes is just a little over $100 if ever that.

Naw because it keeps both your hands together and when you have virtual stock on it adds the extra stability of a false shouldering of the weapon. Biggest problem with aiming is consistency of the two front hands. If you have them mounted together then it is just down to pointing where you want the rounds to go. Alot more consistent and steady than without. Buttstock is more efficient if you don't run virtual gunstock which I don't in GOT because it's wonky af.

Skolvr is an option but I've had this protube since like 2018/19. I also am very fond of their controller mounts themselves the straps are super comfy and the grip itself is super comfy. Very durable and easy to find in vr because the angle the magnets are at and the way they designed the flared mag cups. I honestly think the protube for the controller cups alone is a solid buy because of the comfort level and not always having to have a death grip on the controllers.

yes, The controllers really need to be "merged" with the cups. especially if you want to throw nades with the non dominant hanf in pavlov. you need to swing the stock behind you

Skolvr also stuck at their angles, there isn't any adjustability. You still get lots of adjustablity with protube. Length, cup rotation, cup twist/angle ect.

Skol`s stocks are not "fully" magnetic (correct me if im wrong) The dominant hand is always with the stock. Magnetic stocks are ProTube, Glistco, some amazon stuff (cant vouch for that) and Uni T. All of them (beside amazon) have something to prevent the dominant to dismantle by accident. up to you, what you need

Assuming you don't have cad and a 3d printer you can contact amazon or the company, or spend a bit more and pick up a Protube. You can buy bare minimum starter for $80 or add the shoulder stock with carbon tubes and carbon nylon cups for $180. You can also go the base Protube magtube route for $170, with carbon tubes, carbon nylon cups and adjustable shoulder stock it goes up to $240. Personally id just go with the metal ones and buy two 18x500mm carbon tubes form amazon for $22 and upgrade that way.

Spending $100 on something that snaps like that is crazy. I've had my protube since early 2018 and haven't had a single peice break on it and ive dropped it countless times and smacked it off my wall ect. It's like $20 more if even that for the starter kit with shoulder stock. Cheaper if you only get the starter one.

On the protube, only things 3d printed are the shoulder stock and the cups. Everything else is industrial strength injection molded. The cups definitely aren't going to break, honestly the only thing that might crack or break is the shoulder stock but you'd have to tighten the shit out of the hardware or intentionally snap it.

I myself have had a own 3d printed one (its terrible but helped a bit over the time, I also just threw it out) im getting my smartstock in 1-4 days, I'd say look at the magtube from protube or check at SKOLVR (in my opinion I find smartstock the best choice from them but there are multiple others from 30 up to 160.

That all depends on you, with the buttstock you can hold it on your shoulder (stability of the stock), magnetic is for your left hand (if you are right handed, otherwise it would be other way around), it would stick like a magnet.

If you have a full magnetic with buttstock it would be the best type, but it'll make the price go up double if you choose both most likely

but with magnetic they will stay together easy

wouldn't be much of a difference, but when you shoot from 150m+ it will probably be a bit harder to aim if your left hand slides a little on the stock

Its made in Germany, which will take about 3-7 days

then it has to go to a warehouse, deliver to shipping area and ship to where u are

but depends, I live in the country next to germany so it won't take that long for me (7-14d), it says its in a warehouse which means I have it in 12h to 3d, its weekend so that time starts monday

we could add eachother, and once I have my smartstock I can test it out and then get to know how it works and help you with setting yours up once you have it.

So i bought a Gun stock type thing and was looking for some tips on the calibration.... i notice when setting up other guns (except Rifles which i have perfected the calibration lol) that its much harder to ADS properly and feel comftorrble doing it

there is a pinned guide on how to use the calibration system in tabor, once you learn the process you can calibrate in about 5 seconds

regarding making the gun easy to use and comfortable you need to adjust your gunstock to fit your body properly

ok ill take a quick peak at the guide then but i did make it comftorble enough with the rifle thinking it would be the easiest/most used weapon personally anyway. So it sits great but then id pick up a MP9 for example and its off to the right and gotta bring the whole thing and controllers to the centre of my chest

the in game calibration doesnt do any horizontal adjustments, if you are having horizontal alignment issues its a problem with your gunstock

you'll need to adjust it to have the proper horizontal alignment

printed the mandude stock last night, though i’m struggling with these quest pro controllers. every 1 out of 5 times snapping the front controller in, both controllers just lose tracking and rarely come back. it’s weird, because I don’t think any of the sensors are being blocked, so not sure what’s up. and sensors seem wrong too given both controllers freak out.

really don’t want to have to swap to the regular controllers every time I use the stock, as that’s a huge pain in the ass…

not sure what you mean? the cameras on the controller aren’t blocked. fairly certain pro controllers have their own dedicated tracking/don’t need to be visible by the headset.

You could try heating the cups up with a hair dryer and then inserting the controllers while slightly pliable to "stretch" the cup a bit

Might be the same issue with quest 3, but you might have to disable "tap controllers to switch to hand tracking" in the settings somewhere. It's a common issue with gunstocks but an easy fix if it's the same in your case

each model is different, you have to calibrate per gun basically. some things like the M1aSASS and the XM7 Spear calibrate perfectly together

I have a question for VR stock users. I recently got a stock. BUT whenever i ads my hands will be angled perfectly straight but Ingame it will be angled like this / . I have janky aim fix OFF . Anyone know the fix. ( I USE VIRTUAL DESKTOP TO LAUNCH THE GAME )

print time is subject to settings and model of printer... if you are printing at 60mm vs 160mm will make a huge difference on time... also layer height, walls, infill, and all of that.

with a fast printer and .3mm layers... could probably knock it out in a few hours... verses .2mm and an ender 3 likely takes 8 to 12 hours (estimating by look not by actual testing)

dunno what excacly is the issue, but in order to "grab" a gun with a front hand, you need to tilt the dominant controller. its usually forward. It will then lower the gun in VR. you should have an offhand literally in the gun (preferably). another option is lifting the whole front cup higher. Breacher gunstock has that setup. both of those options are giving the same effect. you might want to rotate the dominant controller if the offhand is too far from a gun

It twitches in dominant hand or in offhand? Or both? It might be occlusion. Flat gunstocks have tendencies to cover the offhand controller by the dominant controller. Tilt the dominant hand more. 30degree is standard. It looks like you got 20. Once you tilt it, it will "force" your butt to go higher. Then the controllers will not oclude each other

But for now try to just make the butt longer. The 30 degree tilt is not necessary as long as you can set stuff in game

In many cases free-hand might be better. But for immersion, gunstock leads the way big time, same with sniping on long distances as well, specially with some IRL support and good tracking. MagTube from ProTube is a good gunstock. It's solid and steady. It would also get 100x more immersion with native support with haptic feedback. Ghosts of Tabor had the support for a while, but it crashed the client after the Matka Underground update, so they skipped it and introduced the OwO Painamplifier west as introduction to pain-immersion.

protube's magtube works with some grips but they also sell their own that work with the cups. pumps and levers in general dont work with most gunstocks and bolt actions you just have to unclip the rear hand (unless the stock's near cannot be unclipped). In general using an external magazine fed semi or fully automatic gun is best with a stock and using that gun consistently will make it easier to learn

either way most pump guns and lever guns suck so theres no real point in using them

I have it, but I dont really know how to use it properly, i have the extension for the left remote to adjust the angle of the thing and i dont know where to put it, and also I dont know how to do the gunstock calibration, it all seems slightly off I wish there was a good tutorial out there

First of all try it without calibration with virtual gunstock OFF, and physical gunstock ON by default. That's the easiest way to use it.

The front controller should be slightly to the left, if needed. Also please, check Tabor-calibration chat in the discord server from the product description. This video below is the tutorial you need for Tomahawk/Butcher/SmartStock.
