Tomahawk alllll day you will not WILL NOT regret it. Having tried all SKOLVR's stocks the Tomahawk is the best rightfully. But butcher and smart stock almost as good just not as many options

Having had protube and the even the better Mamut Apto Wasp that I used for years, I can assure you that amount of adjustability is NOT needed in GoT, Onward, Pavlov, Vail, Contractors, Tier1, Grim or even Pop1. Really no justification for this if you haven't tried the SKOL stocks

I only say this cause I too once thought this same way SWEARING by my Mamut Wasp (better magtube type design) over anything due to the adjustability and NOT being plastic since magtube broke on me and flexed. But SKOL shut me up on all that once I got the Butcher in my hands

The Armory-R1 does allow two different hand orientations styles/rest. Upright and horizontal. It also is able to function like a Pump Action shotgun in the horizontal with the adjustment knob loose to slide.

This is the YipuVR gun stock. (No I had never heard of it either 😂) I am on the meta quest 2 still, but I’m sure that if you search amazon they have similar prices for quest 3’s. I unboxed it, and haven’t calibrated or played yet. I just got home from work and slapped it together. First impressions, for $37 I couldn’t be happier. The magnetic grips hold strong enough that I can really press it into my shoulder. The grips can be adjusted left and right, back and forth, and the angle of the controller can be adjusted as well. The cheek rest looked short at first, but it actually feels great (still need to calibrate to be certain). The only negative I see potentially is that to adjust the overall length, the upper tube could potentially protrude out towards the grips, but until I see where I need it I won’t know if that is an issue or not.

Alright, so my $37 Amazon stock is actually fantastic. I got 3 kills in my first raid, and should have had a fourth but it’s a long story 😂. I immediately noticed a huuge difference in my stability.

With that being said. Does anyone have pointers on calibration? I can calibrate rifle, but when I have a gun with a holo scope it throws off the whole thing. Do you guys just run one main gun and recalibrate accordingly? Some guns weren’t too bad, so I can just adjust my grip a little and make it work, but other ones are pretty bad.

Im no professional when it comes to gunstocks so im not sure how it compares to more expensive stocks but if you are looking for a cheap starter its a great option. the magnents feel a bit strong, I recommend playing around with it a bit in training to get a feel for the magnets because thats my biggest issue

Generally the two top contenders are using the SkolVR Tomahawk and the ProTube... they also are top on the $$$

I suggest checking out the Armory-R1 as a more cost effect alternative that still has a lot of adjustment options and can even work as a Pump Action shotgun which the other two cannot.

ProTube is definitely old school... reliable... but not the best for Loot and Shoot type games where you need to be in and out quickly... have to build up a lot of muscle Memory to reattach both hands etc... but it does offer a greater freedom in angle and physical adjustment.

Tomahawk and Armory (and others) use a newer format where the gunstock never leaves the hands... it is always ready to go, and either minimally interferes a bit with one hands looting, but still able.... or in the case of the ExoStock I make which is a true Mid-split... frees both hands as knuckle grips then forms up as a gunstock when needed.

absolutely. The off hand is completely free (no mag at all), can rest it against the stock in multiple orientations and distances. Easy adjustments as well and Injection Molded for durability.

There’s maybe a couple that are easier to access, but i don’t recommend for games like tabor

I have a few gun stocks and for Tabor I can hands down say the best one is a combination of the magnetic split stock the mamut raidr that CWS did in colab, and the fixed (non magnetic) cups from protube. The split stock just works for tabor, you dont need a strap to and you dont need to find the cups like with protube, but the controller mounts from the raidr stock were fucking awful and the cups from protube are solid

A split design means that the stock breaks up in two main pieces so that you have nothing sticking out at the front of your dominant hand, that's the whole benefit of split stock. Like the exostock or RAIDR.

Everything is contained to the main hand... The off-hand is only the controller, so definitely not a mid-split stock... And not really a split at all, just a contained always in hand one as @glad scroll said..

Vs old school have to detach both hands Pro-Tube style.

Basically no hands, 1 hand Free to Loot with ease, or 2 unencumbered of a true split stock.

🤣 Tomahawk and Butcher and magnetic Smartstock are 100% split stock in terms you splitting your hands from one another and may connect them back eventually. If you don't like them splitting with the buttstock, detach it, or fold it. But splitting with the same length part just makes it much harder to connect back to my experience, nothing more. But you're definitely holding the part of your stock in your other hand in Tomahawk and Butcher, or the magnetic Smartstock.
It is definitely the splitstock with the buttstock attached or not.

And your dividing to splitting in 50/50 or in 80/20 proportion sounds very interesting. The RAIDR main half is three times heavier than the front part. Were splitting in half by weight here or by length only? I just prefer to not twist my wrist much after splitting, nothing more. You should write a Wikipedia article about that. And I will correct it immediately😁

Looks great, but you may attach sling literally everywhere, and Armory or cGrip or nonmagnetic Smartstock will become free Off-Hand or No Split as you wrote depending on if you're using sling or not with them.😁 And you may split the VRifle stock or Smartstock without the buttstock almost in half by weight if needed.
Still very hard to decide honestly.

At least in the Armory's case... the main hand controller isn't going to slip out on it's own/easy... it is fully designed to hold tight and keep the stock in your vs a sling... maybe you could get in to a method of in and out... but it takes some force both directions, so not suggested haha

The QuickAim is a separate adapter that you can use instead of the Magnet connection.

It allows quick and easy physical alignment and placement along the rod extension, can also be useful for a pump action type motion along it.

So I have the Skol VR butcher and am having an issue with the angled grip. When I have both pieces together and try to grab the grip it won’t reach and I have to separate the stock grab the grip and reconnect but when I do that it’s all kind of wonky. Like in real life I will have to aim to the left in order to aim my gun straight in game. Does anyone else have this issue. Help would be appreciated.

the answer is setting the dominant hand. you can tilt the handle forward, so the aiming hand will be excacly in the gun. I use this. also aligning the aiming hand is moving it to the right

yes and no. Double magnetic, so you can detach but no support on dominant so it will detach when pressed against the arm. no butt setups, so it might misalign. it can tilt forward and back and on the sides witch is good. but its not very fast

The stock is great! That is the only issue I have had and like you said it’s the angled grips fault not the gunstocks😂. I looked on the wiki and the second best gunstock is vertical and only had a 2% different in recoil reduction so will be using that grip from here on out.

an adjustable gunstock is basically mandatory, you need to be able to alter the angles and lengths to get it to fit right for your body and fit right for the game

the calibration system in tabor can help with the latter part

this is a common problem with overly simple gunstock designs, its not aligned and cant really be aligned

you need to be able to have horizontal adjustments on the mounts, as well as angular adjustments forwards/backwards

As a Maker my response is limited... obviously I prefer my own as a true full mid-split, but there are a LOT of great option on the list.

I would only say generally no to ProTube because of your looting comment. While you can drop the stock to free up your hands... you have to find/reup the stock to get back to shooting... verses most of the others keep the stock in hand at all times... some just have an 80/20 or so weight split ratio... where you can grab stuff with your main hand, but it is holding the bulk of the stock... verses others do a closer to 50/50 split.

For something with a LOT of adjustability and under 1lb weight, check out the Armory-R1 by VR Tactical Gear. Save 5% with VRTG.

one point is when there is only one connection of the gunstock with the sling. you still are looping around your neck, but the sling is connected together and you hook the stock on the one point of the stock. Two point sling is the sling that has two connections with the stock. usually one in front and one in back, but not necessary. two connecitons on the butt lso gave good results. I have it its fine but you have to know how to use the sling properly and big movements might make it swing around, also i recommend that you superglue the front and back half as i had to due to it falling apart, but dont let this deter you it is still good, reliable, and has done me well so far and remember that its one of the cheaper gunstock so your gettin about what you would get for 37 bucks.

The consignment number has likely been logged with the carrier but the parcel has not been transferred to them yet. I'd suspect that it is still in production. If it is being shipped by DHL the next update that indicates it is on its way will likely say "Shipment posted at the retail outlet by sender", then things get moving on the tracking.

If you open the DHL tracking site and copy that tracking number you can look at "All Shipping Updates" and that will show if it was posted. As your tracking mentions "last mile service provider" it might be close and DHL has handed it over to your local postal service. Expanding all the updates will tell the story. Either way I would not stress at all.

my honest opinion on stocks is magtube if u wanna use it and play str8 away or skolvr if u dont mind waiting long period of weeks there both great sellers very nice and amazing stocks if u want a starting stock go to cgripvr
