I bought the Tabot stock at the first dop and to my luck my brother has a 3D printer. we optimized it then and there are pretty much only the pipes and the metal clamp parts of the controller mounts left.

The brown tape is ugly but solves the problem that the clamps arent so good too. they start to wiggle a little.

I wouldn't recommend it.
It is difficult to snap the controllers while blind and what's even worse, the manufacturing tolerances are bad. On mine, The right mount was fine, while the left was wobbly on the magnetic snap point, which lead to unstable aim.

I returned it and got the skolvr smart stock. It is way better in every way

i think relatively lightweight is a good thing, but a good weight balance is important

simulating the weight of a gun i dont think is particularly beneficial because the gun will do its motions and what you do with your gunstock has little to do with that

Despite what others say, it's a good stock for the price. Mine held up for a couple years before I replaced it. I did eventually upgrade to a Magtube, which I recommend if you can afford it. There are cheaper options, but the Glistco is still a decent stock.

The problem I have with this is whenever you put a bit too much pressure on your shoulder this thing will fold in half. A lot of torque on the magnet joint of the right controller.

So I just got a gun stock in ( it’s off Amazon not a top of the line but it’s decent ) however I’m having no luck getting the aim right. Up down forward and back and rotating up and down is adjustable, but It’s like my right hand is twisted to far to the right and I cannot get it to line up. ( I cannot adjust that on the gun stock it’s locked in place ) The only way I’ve found is to get close reach over with my left hand to grab the forward grip then pull it over and attach my magnets again. Am I able to adjust my controllers left right direction somehow? I’ve looked yet had no luck. I have the adaptstock.

A gunstock designer cannot account for all possible games configurations, or for all possible body sizes and have the gunstock work for everyone if it is not fully adjustable

A physical gun is good for your hands in a particular location to work in conjunction with the rest of the rifle to fit into your body. Your controllers will be in a different place

Good gunstocks look like they do for a lot of reasons related to biomechanics, which is also why the rifle is the way it does

Putting two long sticks on a rifle to go where your hands go is going to totally ruin that

And how are you going to be frequently taking your hands off and reattaching?

It’s not a new idea, commercial gunstocks that are very well engineered showed up over 8 years ago and are 1000x better than trying to use something designed for a different purpose the wrong way

or you may end up with guns that dont point how they should point when you are trying to use your stock like a firearm

If you don't have money don't waste whatever you have. Playing without gunstock is also fun and after so many updates to tracking and virtual gunstock added you safely say gunstock is an accessory. Just have fun and when you will have decent amount that you sure as hell want to spend on a gunstock then go for it. And If you have a 3d printer just make your own. You literally have programs that are free that allow you to design parts

Another issue. The grips sometimes jump way tf up, then when I press the trigger on my off hand. It fixes itself. I'm not even on the calibration screen. Why does it jolt when I press trigger on my off hand while holding the rifle?

Fixed: going back and forth to the tabor market/training will visually fix this issue. The calibration is saved, but u won't properly see it until you reload the game.

its a bit more particular than some others, you have to be interested in the features. i am not a fan of friction or no fit cups, i want a firmly fitting cup that wont come off that is magnetically attached so i get 100% repeatability in position

it also doesnt have the ability to adjust height between controllers

both of which are very hard requirements for me

i know some people who use them that are happy with them, and a number that later upgraded to a magtube and are much happier

A quick heads up, decide if you want to get an elite strap or halo strap. Elite allows you to go very aggressive head movements like ducking/dodging crosses or punches. Halo is meant for casual seating play
